Being Mama-tadori means when Choso appoints himself as Yuji’s older brother you get another son

Choso has never known a mothers love

So when he see’s how you run and hug Yuji with your life after something terrible crying saying you were so worried Choso stands aside awkward and a little empty. MamaJaku never once held him like that, he was the bane of Kenjaku’s existence

That is until he catches your eyes when you hold Yuji at arms length, and Yuji says “This is my ..older brother.. choso..” you were confused but if Yuji was willing to say those words you motioned that poor 500yo baby over and when he didn’t budge you moved to him

He got defensive and tried to fight until he saw Yuji’s sympathetic smile, and you caught him off guard his head against your chest and you squeezed him as hard as you could asking if he was okay. On hand on the back of his head the other rubbing up and down his back. His eyes started to get teary and he slowly brought his arms up, he was clinging to the back of your shirt like a child scared of getting lost. He heard your heart beat and his own beating loud in his ears almost drowning out your soft coo’s and whispers that he was okay now.

You stood there to the point Yuji pulled on your sleeve jealous for attention, but Choso hadn’t let go yet. Your rule was to never pull away from your child’s hug until they pulled away. You learned with Yuji when he was a toddler, sometimes he just needed to be held. Even if he needed to cry silently, or just be held, to just feel you there and know everything would be alright. You remember the nights he’d wake up from nightmares, you’d held him to confort him, and he’d hold onto you all night never letting go.

Choso wasn’t letting go, he needed this, he needed you, he never knew he needed a mother until he felt the love and warmth that radiated off of you. You didn’t know him and yet you took him into your arms with affection and care.

He cried, closing his eyes and burying his face in your chest.

“Woman! What is this???”

“He’s mine now I’m keeping him.”

does yuji know or does he not know about mamajaku? because then why does he think choso is his brother? does he just go along with it because he thinks he (choso) is a little bit delulu just like todo? what even happened. i have no recollection of the plot at this point. i'm fairly certain he doesn't know a lot about his actual parents or their death but what in the aot/fmab is going on with this family

The fandom’s bias towards Mamaguro and her supposed relationship with Touji, when Mamajaku exists... it’s just insulting.

First of we all know whatever the Touji/Mamaguro relationship was it wasn’t quaint. He didn’t even take her name, he took the name of one of his next lays. Touji is a dead beat dad who doesn’t have a relationship with his son. This is peak heterosexuality, this why you shouldn’t choose the cishet lifestyle kids because these are the cishet relationship patterns.

On the other hand we have a loving couple, love that transcends death, it doesn’t get any cheesier, creepier and queerer than Jin and Kaorijaku. They both obviously love their son. Mamajaku really went out of their way for this one.

Secondly, Megumi is a far lesser specimen than Yuuji. The physical prowess aside, Megumi’s looks are mid, very generic and boring. Megumi’s philosophy is plain fake deep and he wastes so much time on it that he doesn’t remember to develop his CT. And finally Megumi’s soul is weak af, Yuuji held Sukuna in check after loosing his only family, he regained control after a mental breakdown, after being force fed over 10 fingers. He talks back to Sukuna when Megumi just rolled over. This is the child quality you get from a queer fam and a cishet fam.

Also Sukuna truly tamed Megumi’s hair. We all doubted him. Fuckboy-fied him, if you will. And the way Sukuna is posing like a shoujo male lead with one hand slinking back his hair and the other reaching out? Star, put some flowers falling around him.

Mamajaku knows that Yuuji is a tough boy. They have faith in him 😌

This at least puts him out of harms way for the apocalyptic Sukuna-Angel battle that's probably about to happen. I mean, the stuff they've shown in this chapter alone...if you get hit by that Nue or the Evangelion-worthy lightbeam, having a hole in your abdomen or getting punched through some buildings is the least of your worries. He should be unconscious now though. Combined with the identity crisis, this would be a great moment to have another flashback/dream (a memory of Kenjaku telling Jin why their baby is so strong for example)

Well, I don't know if I would call that tamed...he looks like Sonic the Hedgehog to me (especially in that last panel). Worse than before 😅 I do agree that he makes him look a lot more like a fuckboy. A very dramatic fuckboy lol

I really feel for this bc people want to defend it stating she's always been a plot device and like,, that's cool or whatever because she served her purpose but didn't really serve it well due to her needing to serve as an emotional weight. Nobody really felt for her though and even though we feel for Megumi it isn't as...impactful, ig?

That in addition to it seeming like gege just doesn't know how to direct these plot points now. He admitted he had a few big ones in mind he wanted to tackle but didn't have a plan for how to get to them and it's kind of showing now.

I'll always be a major Sukuna fan as well but even I'm on the same boat with this lol. For as much as people were complaining about the protag side taking "too many Ws" gege loves giving all of the meaningful ones to the antagonists and the antagonists only.

This has reached a point where we really have no hope in any other character save Gojo for Sukuna and I'm really not even sure Yuta could do anything to Mamajaku after Yuki's disappointment. In terms of having hope in plot relevant contenders, it's harsh to not even include the MC within the top 5...

Man, I’m just bummed out because this can’t be the same story that WRECKED me in Shibuya. It can’t.

Shibuya was just so *chef’s kiss* and had me in one hell of a post story depression… but this? Shouldn’t this be some of the most exciting shit right now? Sukuna takes over Megumi, takes away Megumi’s will to fight, and the gang has to figure out how to stop everything? Should be hella exciting.

So then why am I so BORED?! I’m bored, guys. Big bored. Like I get it. Sukuna is the king of curses and bro is OP as fuck. I GET ITTTTTT. But I don’t carrreeeee because it’s BORING. Isn’t this level of OP-ness what Gege hates so much about Gojo? Didn’t Gege say or allude to Gojo being a nightmare to deal with for this story because of his power level?? Sukuna seems even worse. And Jesus. Everything I’ve seen so far, I don’t even think that Gojo Satoru could beat Sukuna. And that’s SO BORING.

I’M BORED. I went through and read my reactions again to Shibuya and Maki and I was so excited!! I wanna feel excited about this story again. Instead, I’m bored and weirded out. And I’m sorry, but why tf should I care about Tsumiki? Do I feel sad for Megumi? Of course. But her death didn’t do shit because we didn’t get any time with her. I was more sad about Haibara’s death compared to Tsumiki, and we never even actually saw Haibara outside of Nanami’s dying thoughts. Megumi has been stressed about saving Tsumiki this whole time but I felt no sense of urgency because why would I? She’s not a real character! We’ve never seen anything real out of her. She’s just ✨nice.✨

I’m bored and disappointed. I’m going to continue reading and be hopeful that Gege will return to form and pull out that Shibuya-level performance one more time for the end. But right now? I’m bored. Sukuna is a boring villain.

Kenjaku really feels like the only thing that makes this story interesting right now. Him and his wild scheming is all I care about right now.
