Mission: Daesang at MAMA!

THE BASICS

Stray kids is nominated for six(!) Daesangs (i.e. major awards) at MAMA this year. However, there is only one that we can really contribute to: Worldwide Icon of the Year, which is 100% fan voting. In the post below, I’ll go through the basics of how you can vote for Stray Kids. 

Where/how do I vote? For website voting (80% of the score - the most important part!), you’ll need to make an account on the Mwave website. It’s very quick and easy to do, but, to help out, I’ve include an infographic below. The example uses Twitter, but you can use any of the listed SNS types.

Once you’ve got your account and are logged in, you navigate to the voting page. A step by step tutorial will pop up on your screen, so, to save space, I’m not going to duplicate it here. The quick version of it is: you have to click on the group you want to vote for (Stray Kids), fill out a captcha, and then watch a short MAMA vid (you don’t have to watch the whole thing - you can click “submit” once the button becomes available). You’ll get a little screen saying you’ve successfully voted and then you’re done!

How many times do I need to vote? Once a day until the voting period ends on December 9 at 16:59 KST. Please try to remember to vote daily as those add up!

Can I make more than one account? Yes! As long as the email attached to the mwave website is separate, you can create as many accounts as you want. In fact, we encourage making as many accounts as you can.

What if I can really only do one or two? Is that even worth it? Absolutely! While, of course, we’d love a bajillion accounts per person, we understand that that’s not feasible for everyone for a variety of reasons. Besides, if we get 1000 people doing only 1-5 votes a day, that’s still 1000-5000 more votes a day than we would have had otherwise and that really adds up!

You said 80%...what about those other 20%? An additional 10% is voting via Apple Music. If you have a subscription, you just click on this link and then play Thunderous (just Thunderous!) for at least 30 seconds a day from this playlist to vote until the end of the voting period. That’s it!

There’s also 10% Twitter voting. For that, you use a Twitter account to make a tweet using the hashtags #straykids at #MAMAVOTE once a day until the end of the voting period.
