I LOVE the idea of mom Shaak ti!

The huge buildings were so daunting as the ship touched down with a thud, rain banged against all surfaces it would reach. The chorus of noises fell to the background as the ships door opened.
You were the only one that seemed to leave as you pulled your cloak around you tighter.
Chill winds nipped at any exposed skin while you traversed the slippery lading pad, the light died over the horizon line.
A figure stood etched out by the warms lights that flooded the facilities behind it. Other than the eerie appearance the silhouette only radiated a calming warm through the face.
A warmness you could use right now.
The torgruta was a lot taller than you expected. The sleek blue and white lekku reached far down her front as you came face to face for the first time with your new master.
Her eyes softened at your soggy appearance. “I’m master Shaak Ti, you must be my new padawan I’m assuming.”
She stepped to the side letting you in the dry building.
“I am.” You said with a renewed pep in your step following close to the side of your new master. “And I look forward to working with you.”
An arm draped around your shoulder and a gentle hand rub your arm trying to return some warmth back into your body.
A small smile traced your lips, your eyes returned excitedly up to your master.
With a chuckle returning your gaze she spoke. “And I with you, though I do wish these were easier times but there’s nothing we can do about it now.”
Growing deeper into the kaminoian facilities you watched as many clones passed, most seemed to be younger than the ones you’ve seen exiting the temple.
They all wore the same uniform and regulated haircut. Curious eyes stole glances as you continued to walk the halls. Every once in a while a simple wave was in order for the young clones, some gave timid waves back and others gave confused looks.
Master Ti’s cheeks warmed with the small gestures you gave to the younger clones. Her heart swelled slightly each time.
Some kaminoians stoped along the way either address master Ti with things you barely understood, or welcoming you to Kamino.
The kaminoians, despite their intentions spooked a young padawan like yourself.
Heavier boots echoed down the halls loudly approaching your position.
“Ah that must be Colt with a few cadets.” You didn’t have time to question Master Ti as a tall clone turned your way.
The daunting figure wore armor head to toe, a skull like pattern was painted on the helmet with the other colors being red and a pale blue.
This was the first clone you’ve properly seen and your back straightened at the sight of him.
The clones that followed behind, despite instruction, moved and tried to pear around one another too see the new person that was on their home planet.
When you see the same face everyday it’s good to something new.
“Commander Colt.” She said with a smile as the group stoped in front of you too. “I’d like to introduce you to my new padawan Y/N.”
You could feel the hard gaze of the Commander in front of you, with a sheepish smile you gave another small wave unsure of the formalities.
“Sir.” The clone nodded at you before he turned to the general. “You do know that your padawan is dripping all over the floor correct sir?”
A laugh rattled through the tall Torgruta, a hand landed on your shoulder. “We were just about to find a remedy for that Commander no need to worry.”
A few of the boys snickered at the exchange until the helmeted head shot around quickly making you smile slightly.
“Well sir if there’s time after I’m sure your jetti could show my boys a thing or too.” Colt looked between you and your master before you looked up at her yourself.
“If you want too my padawan you may.”
You pumped your fist into the air before saying. “I’d love to master.”
Master Ti wasn’t sold on the idea of a padawan on kamino learning from her but now she couldn’t figure out how she spent the days without the eyes on her.
“Until then Colt.” She nodded her head as her lekkus swayed.
“Goodbye Commander.” You bowed your head towards the clone the formality seemed right in this case.
His own arm raised from the stiff position at his side forming into a small wave of its own.
Weeks seemed to pass by in a flash, you followed Master Ti and learned many new skills from Colt along side a young upcoming group called the domino squad. They were definitely interesting to say the least.
It wasn’t until later into your time when your master instructed you too the mess hall, apparently there was someone you haven’t met yet and of course for a meal.
You scanned the room for anything that seemed out of the ordinary but only a few clones sat at the tables.
Your eyes focused on a figure slumped slightly over a far table in the corner. A broom and a bucket leaned against the wall. Two other clones seemed to be talking rather loud with the older one, until they spotted your quick pace over.
“Ah so you but be the new padawan.” The clone came into better view now. Wrinkles adorned his face and clearly he was much older than the others. He sighed was filled with relief as you stoped in front of him. “Would you like to sit down Y/N.”
“You know my name?” You asked taking the seat, the older clone seemed to relax slightly and leaned back against the wall along with his mop.
“Oh yes believe me I’ve heard much about you from the dominos.” He spoke with a slight laugh, his gravelly voice continued. “I’m 99.”
The old clone stuck a hand out which you hurriedly excepted with a smile.
“From what I hear you seem to be quite skilled with your training. I’m hoping you can teach those boys a few things.”
You laughed, it seemed like a grandpa talking about his rambunctious grandchildren with pride.
“They’re coming along-“ you started. “-gradually so.” This earned a laugh from 99.
The mess halls doors seemed to open wildly as younger groups of clones filtered in and many of the others off to other training.
The force felt lighter now with the rambunctious cadets and you could only smile. By the door a small group seemed to scan quickly before theirs eyes step on 99.
“Oh ho ho here they come.” Your attention turned back to the older clone with a smile on his face.
A group of 4 young looking clones bounded over. They couldn’t be much younger than you though from what you learned from your time on this planet was that that wasn’t the case.
They stoped wearily a few steps from the table, one with longer hair than what your use to seeing stepped foward slightly. “Made a new friend 99?” He asked cautiously.
“Boys this is Y/N, Master Ti’s padawan.” He gestured towards you.
One of the clones towards the back pushed foward, he seemed to be larger than the others but only had a goofy smile on his face.
“Woah your a Jedi?” He asked like a small child amazed.
You laughed before nodding slightly looking back towards 99. He pointed to each boy. “The one towards the front his Hunter, that’s Wrecker.” He pointed to the cadet right in front of you. “That’s Tech and Crosshair.”
One clone was lost in his datapad and the other seemed like he was trying to kill you with a glare. This group was an odd one before.
Lunch went better than most days. The cadets along with 99 seemed like perfect company for once during your meals. Many of the other clones were awkward or didn’t even talk.
At least a few of members of this squad seemed to enjoy it. One silver haired boy did not but hopefully that friendship will come with time.
You didn’t even notice the buzzing of your com link until the torgruta looked over the table.
“Ah so my padawan did take my instructions.” Master Ti’s airy words flew through the other conversations in the mess.
“Making some new friends dear?”
Your cheeks burned red as you stood to greet the master with a bow. “Umm yes Master, I guess I missed the start of training?” You looked up at her expectantly.
To say her face didn’t completely melt was an understatement, you had the Jedi wrapped around your finger. At least she new Colt felt the same.
“That’s quite all right my young padawan, why don’t you come find me after you and your friends conclude your meal.”
Without thinking you quickly shot forward and hugged the waist of the torgruta before saying. “I will, thank you master.”
“Of course my dear.” She spoke and then watched you return to your seat with an excited force signature around you. “Of course.”

whyyyyyy?!?!?! It's too sad... No :(
whatever you do, don’t think about shaak ti having to say “no, i’m not mama” to baby clones. don’t think about it breaking her heart. don’t think about these babies being raised for war. don’t think about her being the closest thing they have to a mother and she has to tell them no. just don’t think about it.

Hi everyone! I spent the rest of yesterday typing up a complete backstory for my Hogwarts Legacy OC, Danny, for a Star Wars AU in which he is a Jedi! It took me several hours to pull all this together so I hope you enjoy it!

Circa 45 BBY, Master Islwyn was born on Dressel, a remote, rural, wooded planet in the Mid-Rim largely detached from galactic politics. For the first three years of his life, the boy was nurtured on his parents’ ranch, who were former successful merchants that had sold off their interests and settled down for a quieter life after their enterprise started to wane due to the rising influence of large commerce houses such as the Inter-Galactic Banking Clan. However, his parents wanted their son to have a chance at life in the galaxy. They were not strong in the Force, but believed in it. They prayed that one day their boy would be granted that opportunity by will of the Force.
It seemed that those prayers were answered when a handful of brown-robed strangers showed up at the front doorstep of the Islwyns. Believing that this was the opportunity they hoped their son would have, the family welcomed the strangers. Little Danny could speak by this point, but being so young, there was no way he could process that this was the last family dinner he would have until he was an adult. Over supper, the visitors revealed their identities as Jedi and explained to the family their intentions to take their son in, raising and training him as a part of their Order. As much as they believed in the Force, little Danny’s parents had a hard time believing that the Jedi was more than myth, the mysterious guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy. They were still somewhat surprised when members of the Order approached their abode.
The Islwyns agreed, albeit very reluctantly and emotionally, to let the Jedi leave with their son and train them as one of their own. The three-year old Danny was the loudest and it took some time for both the parents and the Jedi to calm him down. His parents gave him hugs and admitted they would still miss him dearly in spite of the fact that they had what they wanted for him. Life on the ranch would not be the same for the couple, but they had to manage for everyone’s sake. Indeed, young Danny remained in tears as he left the ranch on the shoulder of one of the Jedi, waving goodbye.
Emigrated to the grand Jedi Temple of Coruscant, the sight of a planet-wide big city was a lot to take in for the youngling when the starship docked. He was shocked and amazed of course, as it was a vast difference to the forests and prairies of quiet Dressel. Immediately from the beginning it was clear to the masters that Danny struggled with attachment and letting go. He was a happy if somewhat quiet and shy kid. It bothered the little youngling greatly that he would have to adjust to his new surroundings, even face the reality he may not get to see his mama and papa for a very long time, if not ever again.
Under the Jedi Code, attachments were forbidden within the Order. Forcing it on little Danny however, would be wrong. One of the masters, a Togruta named Shaak Ti, took a particular interest in him. She felt and understood his deep struggles with attachments. Thus she was not hesitant to express her concerns about how he may be treated when it came to addressing his feelings and memories. Rather than trying to forcefully drill it in, which would be wrong, Master Ti advocated for working with Danny to understand his troubles and develop the important skills he would need for his journey in the Force.
Master Ti would become a motherly figure to young Danny in the Jedi. She was allowed to play a main role in his early education and training as a youngling. He felt at ease when she was around, able to sense her strong devotion to the nature of the Force and the Jedi teachings. She encouraged him to explain what upset and scared him. Ti recognized that his attachment to his mother and father was natural and part of what made him happy. It also showed that he had  a strong heart and was concerned for other people and their wellbeing. Over time, Danny would learn to acknowledge and accept his feelings and attachments as positive and healthy so that he could remain focused on his studies and betterment as a Jedi. Shaak Ti understood why the Code banned attachments. They had the potential to interfere in the training and duties of a Jedi, turning them to the Dark Side if they were left unaddressed and allowed to overrun the individual. At the same time, she believed that with the proper handling, training and meditation, one would be able to manage their attachments in a constructive way.
As a student, Danny also looked up to Shaak Ti as a role model. He took up after her in the spiritual, scholarly and martial components of the Jedi, preferring negotiation first while being prepared for battle at any moment. He even took an interest in whips and dreamed of having a lightsaber that worked like one of them when he got older, developing a specialization for the whip throughout his training. Danny was well-liked by his peers and got along with most of his clan, though some considered him as weird and teased him for his unusual interest in whips. Otherwise he was empathetic and hardworking, sometimes assisting classmates in need.
When they came of age, young Danny and the rest of his initiate clan participated in a rite of passage known as the Gathering to build their lightsabers, as was customary. They were flown to the faraway snowy planet of Ilum in an ancient starship called the Crucible under the guidance of Professor Huyang, an academic droid also dating back from antiquity. On the planet, Danny and the younglings had to journey into caverns to find kyber crystals that they connected to in the Force while overcoming challenges testing their resilience and willpower. He managed to work through all the obstacles and negative temptations within him due to the teachings of Shaak Ti. The crystal he found was green due to his affinity with the Force’s nature. Danny used the powers of the force to build his lightsaber under the careful direction of the droid professor.
He passed his Initiate Trials with flying colors. As a Jedi Master, Shaak Ti was allowed to select her own apprentice to train, who would be none other than young Danny. It was now 32 BBY, which would see the world of Naboo be invaded and occupied by the Trade Federation in response to hefty tariffs by the Galactic Republic. He also witnessed the arrival of a young slave from the Outer Rim desert world of Tatooine, Anakin Skywalker, the news of which also brought along rumors of a Sith resurgence. While the possibility of the evil Force order returning concerned Danny somewhat, he brushed them aside as he was intrigued by the story of Anakin. Skywalker was permitted into the Jedi for training as Obi-Wan’s student after helping defeat the Trade Federation force that held Naboo at gunpoint. While welcoming toward Anakin, Danny couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was troubling him. He sensed that Skywalker also had problems with attachments, which he could understand, but the former slave’s predicament was worse than what he had to deal with.
Danny continued his studies under Master Ti, them going on many missions together to further their journeys in the Force. Their bond grew to new heights as her student became an older teenager. Master and padawan saw each other as equals and had a shared mutual respect. Even on the hardest missions did young Danny enjoy traveling with and learning from Shaak Ti. In 25 BBY, he completed the Jedi Trials and was knighted in a formal ceremony. While proud of this accomplishment, he was not to rest on his laurels for long as he was assigned his new padawan shortly after, a teenage girl named Sophronia. Danny was reluctant at first, if a bit apprehensive even, but all doubts came crashing down when he got to meet her. The girl was intelligent and bright, as well as eager and friendly. She conveyed an air of maturity while remaining youthful and was devoted to the Jedi teachings.
Over the next 6 years, Master Islwyn dedicated himself to training Sophronia the best he could using what he learned from Master Ti and his own experiences. He constructed his lightwhip with an orange crystal after years of honing the skill. His apprentice was somewhat jealous of this, but she was also proud of him for his accomplishment. She respected and admired him a lot. They shared their passion for learning and knowledge, which further their bond and respective paths. Even then Danny would sometimes be irritated by Sophronia’s deep passion and talkative nature on the details of historical events and legends. While their bond was still a bit rocky at the start, they gradually warmed up to each other. He continued to maintain his close bond with Shaak Ti, who offered his padawan advice and motivation from time to time.
Tensions in the Republic only continued to worsen following the Naboo crisis. Many star systems were breaking off to join a new rising power in response to growing corruption, bureaucracy and alleged mistreatment. Named the Confederacy of Independent Systems, it rapidly gained support and membership under the direction of a former Jedi-turned-Sith, Count Dooku, who was christened Darth Tyranus by his master, Darth Sidious. The massive commerce houses that prompted Danny’s parents to leave business had also joined the CIS, providing military and financial support in return for places in the Separatists' governing council.
It was hard to believe for Danny that such an accomplished and respected Jedi such as Dooku could leave the Order and possibly even defect to the Republic’s rivals or enemies. He picked up his parents’ sentiment for politics, it being sort of alien to him as a committed Jedi. It was believed that Dooku had left as he felt that the organization was becoming too political, short-sighted and narrow in its ways serving the Republic. Danny also struggled to comprehend this as he always remembered the Jedi as essential to his family. They had cared for him, trained him and afforded him a life where he could be happy and perhaps make a difference in the galaxy. As much as he felt strongly about Dooku leaving the Order, nothing could change his stance on the Jedi until the outbreak of the Clone Wars.
Dooku’s warnings would be validated as the powder keg of tensions in the galaxy exploded, pitting the Republic in open hostilities with the Separatists. The shortcomings of the Jedi were exposed to the public throughout the war, the role of them as soldiers not helping sentiment against them. That’s what Danny saw himself as he continued to serve the Jedi and the Republic in the war. He did not see it as his duty to be caught up in the back-and-forth playing of politics in the Senate Chamber. His convictions lied in the safety and wellbeing of his padawan, Master Ti and his force of clone troopers.
Although Danny always had questions about the Jedi doctrine that stemmed from his very first encounter with them as a little boy on Dressel. They were aided by the Clone Wars’  increase in scrutiny and condemnation of the Jedi as warriors pushing for the Republic’s interests at the costs of other people. Danny did not believe that it was that extreme, but he could not refute that the Jedi doctrine was flawed, if even outdated and in need of amendment. He further suspected that there were plans going on behind closed doors to usurp the Jedi and destroy the democracy laid out by the Republic. However he could not act on it nor communicate it much to others due to a lack of proof.
Nevertheless Danny and Sophronia fought in many battles together, the experience in the combat zone a test of their bond and prowess in its own right. Coming into 19 BBY, Sophronia became a knight herself. Much to the immense applause and gratitude of both Danny and Shaak Ti, she had proven herself a fierce, independent and accomplished Jedi worthy of the honor. Following the battle above Coruscant and the rescue of Chancellor Palpatine, Danny was informed that he had been selected for the ascension rank of Master for his honorable service and dedication to teaching young Sophronia the ways of the Force. He was to receive the promotion once the Clone Wars were over, this would unfortunately be cut short by Order 66.
Having thwarted an attempt by Master of the Order Mace Windu to apprehend him and bring him to justice, Palpatine, the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, framed the Jedi as killers who attempted to take over the Republic and made Anakin his apprentice, Sith Lord Darth Vader. While he sent out Vader to raze the Jedi Temple with 501st Legion backup, Palpatine issued the contingency command Order 66 to turn the clone troopers against their Jedi commanders and comrades out in battle. Danny himself was able to dodge the crossfire using his lightwhip skills and slip away. Sophronia also managed to escape although Shaak Ti was caught in the temple and killed by Anakin along with many of the other Jedi on Coruscant.
Danny attempted to reach a few of the Jedi as he escaped the battlefield in his fighter. Most of the channels gave no response but he managed to reach Sophronia, who he advised to lay low and sent coordinates for a place where they could rendezvous later on. He also got ahold of Obi-Wan Kenobi, who had just fled Utapau after killing the Separatist warlord General Grievous. They agreed to meet at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to investigate a distress signal coming from it. Danny had a bad feeling about it as his suspicions of a secret plot to topple the Jedi and Republic were confirmed.
Meeting Obi-Wan inside the ruined temple, he was horrified at the insurmountable decimation that had been wrought, even that Anakin, the “Chosen One” could even fall to the Dark Side. Unfortunately, that was the case as they and Yoda reviewed security footage of their former ally slaughtering their innocent comrade. It was too much for Danny to bear but he had to stick to his Jedi teachings and remain strong for his surviving brethren. Obi-Wan had to even stop him from entering Shaak Ti’s room and seeing her gruesome remains. He was devastated that she had been killed and they’d never get to see each other again, although some consolation came in the form of a holomessage Master Kenobi had recovered from Ti’s room. It had been recorded by her soon before Anakin had arrived with hundreds of 501st Legion troops, sensing that he had turned to the Sith and she’d most likely be dead. The recording was a goodbye from Shaak Ti to her former student. In it, she urged him to continue his studies in the Force, seek out Yoda to get his master promotion, and stay alive so that he can help defeat whatever evil arises from the shift in Force and restore freedom, peace and justice to the galaxy. Anything else, the deaths of Ti and other fallen Jedi would be in vain. The message also encouraged Danny to seek out whatever family he had, if there were any at all.
After receiving and listening to the holomessage, Danny and Obi-Wan reluctantly said farewell and may the force be with you to each other before parting ways. Yoda had already departed to battle Sidious before the other two surviving Jedi investigated Ti's room. Obi-Wan was going to Mustafar to confront his former friend and student Vader. Thrust into a new reality where the Republic and Jedi, the family he knew is now dead at the hands of an evil Sith lord and a traitorous Skywalker who was once an ally, Danny sets himself off on a new journey. Acting on a tip from a contact who recognized his surname, he begins the long flight to Dressel to find the original family he came from.
Palpatine meanwhile declares the First Galactic Empire. In a move to consolidate power under the guise of security and stability, the Sith Lord ends the era of the Republic, crowning himself Emperor and putting the Separatists to the saber. Democracy is dead with thunderous applause. Danny could not have picked a better time to flee the heart of the new Empire, as any surviving Jedi were marked for death with bounties soon following. No matter what, the Force remains strong in him, who must remain committed on his journey in his role as a guardian of peace and justice in the galaxy.

Miscellaneous Star Wars headcanons :3
((This aint all of them but we’d be here forever if i put all of them))
Ahsoka grows to be taller than Anakin (yes Anakin is offended by this)
Anakin’s first language isn’t Basic (its not even his second its like 4th. Outer Rim folk don’t speak a lotta Basic)
Tatooine is like Australia, Colombia and Texas combined SO the accent is Australian, Colombian and Texan combined. Luke’s Tatooine accent leans harder on the Texan side. He says howdy :)
Leia studied former politicians from the Pre-Empire days (because Bail wants his girl to be EDUCATED) and accidentally ends up learning a little about Padmé.
Leia’s first words would’ve been mama if Padmé and Anakin had gotten to raise their child
Luke felt isolated as a kid, even though he was very social. Partly because kids found him weird, partly because ‘Skywalker’ is a slave name.
Obi Wan doesn’t find it gross that Anakin eats bugs, he finds it gross Anakin eats RAW UNSEASONED bugs. So uncivilised
The Clones on Kamino have hug piles. (They need comfort ok)
Rex cries a lot in private.
Even though Aalya and Luminara are a few years older than Anakin, Anakin befriended them really quickly became friends :)
Canonically Anakin is a really good artist but doesn’t show people SOOOOooo the headcanon is Obi Wan finds a sketch of him one day by Anakin while cleaning up after Anakin’s mess in his room and loves it so much he hands it in how own room.
Padmé proposed to Anakin
Padmé gets just as jealous as Anakin, she’s just not as melodramatic and can destroy people with words
Anakin smokes from time to time (don’t tell Obi Wan or Padmé they will kill him)
Obi Wan had 0 spice tolerance before living on Tatooine and had to build it up when he started living there
Anakin, Leia and Luke are all autistic
Han is surprisingly good at mingling with ‘the higher ups’ during politics dinners/parties with Leia
Shmii was a lil bit Force sensitive and helped shield Anakin when he was little
Padmé experienced prenatal depression and didn’t tell Anakin. Or anyone.
Shmii and Anakin couldn’t write and Anakin only knew how to read a few words. Anakin learnt when he was taken to the temple
Togruta’s yawns like a snake. When Ahsoka yawned infront of Rex for the first time his soul left his body
Yoda hunts frogs in the ponds within the Temple. Little Dooku saw him donit once. No one believed him
Owen mumbles to Cleigg and Shmii while he works like they’re still alive and with him
Shmii would tell Owen tales of what Anakin was like
Both Leia and Anakin make attempts to befriend any droids they meet. Its polite :)
Luke would dig for bugs with Beru and they’d pan fry them for dinner
Vader heard so much gossip because officers and stormtroopers just assumed he wasn’t listening to their whispering.
Ahsoka is banned from any and all kitchens because she burns 99.99% of everything she cooks
Shaak Ti had to babysit lil Anakin once and found him delightfully courious
Anakin swears in Hutesse to get away with it infront of Ahsoka. Ahsoka figures it out and starts repeating after him.
Anakin is banned from 501st game nights because he’s too competitive
Obi Wan experienced really bad nightmares after Qui Gon’s death for months
Anakin thrives in disfunction
Leia never really allowed herself to properly mourn her parents. Breha and Bail always plagued her mind.
Padmé is a dancey drunk. Anakin finds this hilarious

Shaak Ti and Jango Fett co-parenting Boba gives me fluttery feelings in my heart.
i loved your headcanons about shaak ti and jango, now i'm curious about your headcanons about shaak and boba
The first time Boba meets Shaak Ti, he’s only three years old.
And he adores her.
Which exhausted Jango in the earlier parts of their acquaintance when they were still butting heads, because what was he going to do? Tell Boba to not see the Jedi and be an ass about it? Because while she was insufferable to Jango, she was considered an angel to Boba?
There’s no winning this.
Boba would ask for uppies whenever they cross paths because a) it’s nice to be enveloped in her hug and her overflowing robes, and b) it’s fun to be so high up that he’s just slightly above Jango’s hairline.
Jango doesn’t appreciate this being pointed out.
When Jango goes off bounty hunting, Boba would find himself toddling after Shaak Ti as she overlooks the training simulation with the shinies. Anytime someone glances over at the balcony, they’d see their Jedi general standing there with a few Alpha-classed clones, and one of them would be Prime’s kid sitting contentedly in her arms.
“He’s judging us,” one of them grunts, thinly avoiding getting shot. “Look at that brat.”
“I wanna get a hug from General Ti, too,” another sighed forlornly.
I like the idea of Shaak Ti teaching Boba the finer ways of moving your body, so the acrobatics would be a whole lot smoother than the usual bounty hunter force, a lot more like a Jedi’s. Boba was able to move like a dancer at age five —flipping backwards, landing from his high place with a crouch that didn’t even breathe a sigh of air, deathly quiet and stealthy— and Jango knew immediately who was responsible for this.
He wasn’t exactly thrilled about someone teaching his son behind his back, and he would argue that Boba would have his armour to protect him against most things. It should be sufficient, Jango would make it sufficient.
“I know the importance of your armour,” Shaak Ti says. “But this is just another arsenal he can use to his disposal if time demands it. It would prove useful for a future that would demand that he moved alone.” She smiles, then. “Consider this my gift to him.”
When Shaak Ti meditates, Boba would climb onto her lap and sits down with her, a datapad in hand as he quietly finishes his studies while she only puts a fleeting hand on his head in acknowledgment.
The year Shaak Ti found out Jango died, she worries for Boba, tries to reach for him, but he’s already cutting ties with everyone out of rage and overwhelming grief.
Years later, after Order 66, when Shaak Ti remains hidden under the large leaves of Felucia’s world, she sees a ship flying over her head, wanting to land on this planet that sings, its Force signature thrumming steadily underneath her skin.
A familiar ship. Her heart clenches in the memory of its importance, but she’s already taking out her lightsaber, the Force wriggling at the back of her mind as she allows herself to be swallowed in the shadows, waiting.
When he finally finds her, like he always did when he was a boy on Kamino, Shaak Ti takes in the armour, the green and yellow and red, painted over Jango’s blues and silvers, and that itself speaks what he’s going through.
When Boba Fett takes off his helmet, she makes herself stand still.
He holds onto his helmet, watching her, something pained in the corner of his mouth that tells her he’s seen too much. Experienced too much. Received too little.
He takes a step forward, almost unsure.
“Buir,” he murmurs, jaw working, afraid.
Shaak Ti reaches out for him.

-after they get off Kamino, and they meet the Jedi, the clones are constantly thinking about how 'this wasn't in the training handbook'
-the officers would have been given some basic instruction on what Jedi are like and that they use 'the Force'
-the regular troopers are often blown away by watching the Jedi do stuff
-clones don't do small talk, or stories. they pick that up from the Jedi and others
-it takes a while before your average clone commander or captain is willing to correct or disagree with your average Jedi general
-they naturally have a strong sense of camaraderie, but it's not usually expressed verbally
-clones were not supposed to express emotion really. The Kaminoans gave them a little leeway, because it meant they were still human, but if any obvious feelings got in the way of their training performance or their obedience, that would earn a decommissioning. The clones were human, but their humanity wasn't something to be indulged by their makers.
-it was the Jedi who gave the clones the idea of funeral pyres, which they developed into a custom of burning the names of those who died (easier since there were usually so many clones)
-the Jedi put a halt to all decommissioning on Kamino (yeah, mama Shaak Ti!)
-three years into the war, the Kaminoans were speeding up production for the last of the clones and they were shipping out at the equivalent of 15 or 14 years old.
-some of the clones got curious about their Mandalorian heritage, but it wasn't a universal thing (I still love reading those fics)
Working on my 'clone culture' takes:
-clones would have been raised rigidly
-all their education would have been centered around warfare and combat training
-no individualism would have been tolerated. Kaminoans are proud of their consistency.
-clones like Rex who looked different would have had to push themselves incredibly hard and probably be close to top of their class to prove they deserved to live
-even if Mandalorian friends or what-have-you of Jango Fett were brought in to run the drills and encourage creative thinking in battle simulations, they would never have been allowed to promote anything tied to their culture or worldview
-the clones would train to fight in any possible conditions, on any possible surface, against any possible species
-what the clones actually know about specific planets or star systems or whatever would be pretty carefully controlled
-the Kaminoans would believe in their ability to breed obedient humans without taking away too much of their creativity or their sentience. But I don't think they'd ever forget that these are still humans, and they have to be heavily controlled to keep them all the same, to keep them all perfect.
-only the clones chosen for command roles and special forces would have been taught anything different in terms of geography or history or anything. They'd get more of an education.
-imagine a young cadet meeting Boba and asking why his number sounds different than the others. Boba gets mad, because 'it's not a number, I have a NAME." The next cadet who asks about names, and why the rest of them don't have one, vanishes. They learn never to talk about it. That's just the way things are.
-it's the Jedi who give them names at first, and it spreads like wildfire
