Mama price brainrot is so real honestly

To say mama always knew when something was wrong was an understatement. Half the time it was like he had cameras around, but he just knew how to read the little ones so well. How could he not when they wore such delicate emotions on their sleeves?

Just like always, mama was there right with him as Phil fisted at his red eyes in frustration. Nothing felt right. They already went from itchy clothes to a comfy onesie, changed the bedsheets to something more comfortable, and got his favorite drink in a sippy cup. So why couldn't he just feel small? Everything felt too heavy on his shoulders, drilled into his skull.

"It's okay, let's just take deep breaths, hm?" Price murmured to him, steadily rubbing his back. In a way, it felt a little embarrassing, but he leaned back into it.

He could do deep breaths. In and out. Inhale, exhale. Simple.

"that's it, bub..." Price softly spoke to him, slipping in petnames that did always help at least a little.

And even though he didn't feel so small yet, he placed himself in Price's lap. He was cradled without any hesitation, slowly rocked side to side.

"Close your eyes, love.." Mama kissed his forehead lightly as his eyes slipped shut.

Somstime between the gentle rocking and soft talking, sleep had taken him and then slowly had him wake up. So, so very small.

A pacifier had been popped in his mouth, and he'd been more carefully cradled Mama's arms.

His soft blue eyes looked up at Price with wonder.

"There's my little guy..." Mama whispered. He had no clue how long the nap lasted, but it didn't feel like it mattered anymore when Price spoke to him. Just small. He could be small with no worries sometimes, that's what he needed.

Mama's arms were safe.

Graves does go home sometimes for holidays or whenever to see his mom. He doesn’t care for a good bit of his family and tolerates them for his mother’s sake. Well, he finally decided to come out to her and introduce Nik and Price.

It was the most stressful moment of his life, coming out to his safe person, the one person who protected the best she could whenever she could, at the age of forty. His father is long gone but the damage he had done left its mark.

He was scared what she would say, how him admitting this would break her. But it didn’t. He had took her aside as Nik and Price were absorbed in the trivia game the cousins Graves actually liked pulled out. He was shaking as he heard them laughing in the other room, stuttering when he finally told her. She was quiet, he couldn’t look at her.

Then she took his hands and made him look at her before she spoke softly to him.

“I know. I’ve always knew. And I love you as you are.”

It was like a dam broke loose, Graves crying like baby as his mother held him.
