Pihla Viitala is SO GORGEOUS in Mustat Lesket😍

Okay, now that that’s been said - here I am binge watching Mustat Lesket (Black Widows) on my days off, which stars Pihla Viitala as one of the three main characters. It’s an entertaining Finnish show about three young women who blow up their abusive/oppressive husbands; in fact, it was so successful in Finland that it has subsequently been remade several times in other countries. Pihla is ridiculously beautiful in it (honestly, she has such a perfect face?!), and I do like her character (Veera) the most so far. There are a lot of other familiar faces from Deadwind in it, which is also fun and a little confusing for the brain (for example, Veera hooks up with a guy who is played by the same guy who played Jarkko in S1 of Deadwind). 

I’m close to the end of S1 and at the moment, I’m digging Veera (and feeling very protective over her) and Johanna. Kirsi seems to be the ‘annoying one’ that had me rolling my eyes a bit, but she’s had her redeeming moments here and there and I guess there always has to be one. 

It’s nice seeing Helsinki in the summer (and Pihla in something other than sweaters and winter parkas), and some of it is waaay over the top and unbelievable but it’s good fun and actually quite hilarious. Like I find myself laughing so hard at some bits. Totally worth watching for the black drama/comedy of it, to stare at Pihla’s face and/or to just hear the beautiful Finnish language.
