Why Are Trans-Attracted Men So Weak!
Dear The Transamorous Network,
I’m trans. I’ve often thought that all it will take is a few fearless men to shift culture.
There’s this one guy who I’ve been talking with for years. He pursues me. He is charming, respectful and good looking. We met up once, and it was the best sex of my life. And yet, his parents would never accept him dating me, so he keeps me at a distance. That’s what we deal with all the time. Men who are otherwise good men, but are too weak to fully own their full selves.
I don’t want to hold their hands like a mom and lead them into this. They need to develop fearlessness on their own. So, I’m left just feeling sad that these many many men are too afraid to man up.
I think that if a few powerful men set an example, other men will see that power, and have permission to follow. If someone like Dave Chappelle talked about how he’s attracted to trans women, and he doesn’t give a fuck about judgement, that would shift culture. Instead, he makes entire comedy specials wrestling with his obsession with us, and projecting his shame onto us.
Tired of the weak men
Hey Tired,
Thanks for your eloquence. What I’m sharing here may sound harsh, but I swear, I don’t mean it that way. I want you to have what you want. And it’s so close! But like many of my clients, I think you might be shooting yourself in the foot regarding what you want.
I’m not trying to offend you. Please remember this as you read on.
There has been at least one prominent man (Actor Malik Yoba) who proudly “outed” himself as trans-attracted. There are many men, not as prominent, coming out too. I featured many in my YouTube videos. And some of them have their own YouTube channels. I was just talking with one last week. Let me know if you’d like the link to his channel.
As in many cases, where we seek solutions to problems, we think a single act can solve it. Many people think, for example, that if just one prominent guy comes out and owns his attraction, others will too. I don’t think there’s a silver bullet here wrt transgender women and men who love them both finding “out loud” love. No matter how many prominent men come out, it’s always going to eventually be up to the individual to do the work. Other men can ease the strain of that, like the abundance of transgender people living out loud and successful today have helped other trans people live authentically. But ultimately, if we’re waiting for some shining knight to break us free, we’re going to have to wait a long time.
I have a question for you about your experience you shared about this wonderful seeming guy, who has so many characteristics you desire. I hope you will really consider what I’m offering in this question. I think it could cause for you a tremendous breakthrough. Then I’m going to follow the question with the rationale behind why I ask it. I share this rationale often with my transgender clients. Ok, here’s the question:
Why not take this man you describe as being so desirable in so many ways by the hand, not like “a mom” but like a supportive, empowering lover, and walk with him through to his self acceptance?
Here now is the rationale: Here you have this guy. This guy has so many of the qualities you’re looking for. He clearly (at least from what you’ve written,) satisfies you in so many ways. And yet, instead of YOU being courageous and daring and helping him walk this path as a supportive potential partner, you’re willing to cast all that goodness aside? Why???? Why are you being so stubborn about this? Because you’re judging him as weak?
I think transgender women (and people in general) think they’re going to find this perfect person who will be fearless and have no issues. Meanwhile, in that very moment, they are themselves dealing with issues of their own. EVERYONE WILL HAVE SOMETHING THEY NEED TO GROW INTO. And some of those things are fucking hard to grow into because they challenge very powerful social, familial and cultural indoctrinations hardly anyone avoids. There are LOTS of transgender people who go through exactly this. Yet, here you are (as an example) expecting the total package to show up ready to sweep you off your feet when you, yourself, most likely, had to come into yourself over time and still are, again, most likely.
That’s the same thing this guy is doing.
Here’s this guy possessing many of the qualities you want in a guy….and you’re doing exactly what he’s doing. He keeps you at a distance, so you do the same thing. Are you really being strong here? Or are YOU being weak.
Kettle, meet pot.
The guy is reflecting back to you who you’re being. If you want someone like this guy but without familial issues, you must stop being who YOU’RE being. You’re pointing your finger at this guy, while your other three fingers are pointing right back at you, Megan. Are you picking up the words I’m putting down here?
Now, you can meet a guy who will be fearless about his appreciation for you and even not care about what anyone thinks. But, I say this from experience, so long as you tell the stories you’re telling about trans-attracted men in general, and this guy specifically, you’re not going to meet such a man because you’re not a match to him.
But you can be.
You write: There’s nothing that’s sexier than a man who stands in his full power and owns who he really is. That’s the sort of thing that makes me want to fall to my knees.
In case you don’t realize it, you’re corresponding with such a person. I don’t write this to imply you should date me. I write it to preempt any sort of defensiveness or double-downing you might come back with. Think about what you’ve just read. This guy pursuing you can be the guy with whom a tremendous relationship blossoms. But YOU must be the fearless one. Not he.
TTN
Dear TTN
I understand what you’re saying. I think it’s complex with this man I know because his form of holding me at a distance is to meet trans girls for sex. I’ve expressed my desire for more, and he wished me luck with that. He’s clearly saying to me that he’s not open to more. I don’t want to be his booty call. I don’t want to be one of his many side girls. That doesn’t turn me on, and yet that’s all he can offer, given his situation and how he’s choosing to relate to it. It just feels like to do anything more would be to pine over him in a needy way. I’ve already been clear of what I want, a loving devoted relationship. Yes, I want the great sex, but that’s not something I will settle for.
I don’t mind you being blunt with me, by the way. I very much respect that. Lol, it even sort of excites me, because I love being in that space of growth and potential opening.
Thank you for your wonderful response.
Hi Again Tired
I understand what you’re describing here. I wouldn’t want to be his booty call either. LOL
It sounds like his road is going to be a long one. Based on my experience with trans-attracted guys, I don’t think his current trend will continue though. At some point, he’s going to get tired of booty calls and want something more. That could mean something becomes available with him.
But I TOTALLY agree with you: you needn’t wait for that. And I certainly would not advocate pining for anyone, especially in a needy way. Yuck.
I love that you’re clear about what you want Megan. Me too. And I, like you, find excitement in that space of growth and potential opening.

New article: "The Good Nurse’: See Eddie Redmayne as N.J. serial killer Charles Cullen in film with Jessica Chastain".
By Amy Kuperinsky | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com, July 21, 2022.
Tumblr media
"Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne is New Jersey serial killer Charles Cullen in the upcoming Netflix thriller “The Good Nurse.”
Cullen killed 29 people while working at a series of hospitals in New Jersey and Pennsylvania over a 16-year span.
Netflix released first-look images from the movie, which also stars Oscar winner Jessica Chastain.
Chastain plays Amy Loughren, the Somerset Medical Center nurse who brought her suspicions about Cullen to police and was asked to wear a wire to collect evidence against him.
“The Good Nurse,” directed by Tobias Lindholm (”Another Round”) and written by Krysty Wilson-Cairns (”1917”), is based on the bestselling 2013 book “The Good Nurse: A True Story of Medicine, Madness and Murder", by Charles Graeber.
Tumblr media
After his arrest in 2003, Cullen, who is from West Orange, admitted to killing patients at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, where he started his nursing career in 1987, and more patients at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg and Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington. He also admitted to injecting medicine into random bags of intravenous fluid. Cullen killed 13 people at Somerset Medical Center.
The nurse told police he murdered up to 40 people.
Cullen, who used overdoses of digoxin and insulin to kill patients, also worked at Morristown Memorial Hospital as well as Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He was connected with deaths at Easton Hospital in Easton, Pennsylvania; Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown; and St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Tumblr media
Cullen, 62, who has made numerous suicide attempts throughout his life, is currently at New Jersey State Prison in Trenton after being sentenced to 11 consecutive life sentences (six more were added for his Pennsylvania murders).
In 2008, the families of Cullen’s victims at Warren Hospital, Somerset Medical Center and Hunterdon Medical Center who filed wrongful-death lawsuits against the hospitals reached a confidential settlement. Those facilities, along with Saint Barnabas in Livingston and St. Luke’s in Pennsylvania, paid an undisclosed sum for claims in connection with the deaths of 22 of Cullen’s victims.
The cast of “The Good Nurse” also includes Nnamdi Asomugha, Kim Dickens, Malik Yoba, Alix West Lefler and Noah Emmerich.
Redmayne, 40, won an Oscar in 2015 for playing Stephen Hawking in “The Theory of Everything.”
Tumblr media
Chastain, 45, won an Oscar in March for playing televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker in “The Eyes of Tammy Faye.”
“The Good Nurse” is slated for a fall release on Netflix...".

A couple of thoughts on the shows I watched this week
Last Sunday, God Friended Me grew the family last week with Malik Yoba showing up as Miles's uncle.  Great addition.  Same thoughts about Cara's ex-boyfriend who seems to be a worthy guy.  The case of the week – which almost didn't happen because Miles initially said no – was strong.  It was similar to Miles's own story with his Mom but not quite the same.  One complaint – Ali's bar is in Alphabet City, not far from my apartment.  They need to stop saying they'll go "down" to their father's church.  Up – Arthur's church is uptown and honestly, in a show about God, "up" is a good word for a church, a soup kitchen and a group of people doing good work.
Much better Magnum PI this week.  The old show had a few 1940's-style noir mysteries every season with a weathly man looking for someone and hiring Magnum.  This episode was just like those with some clever twists.  A little more growth on the Higgins character is always a good thing too.  Nice to see Ben Vereen.
Spent some quality time the first time I saw Marissa's new/old husband on Bull trying to remember when I knew him from – the beard threw me off.  It is NCIS: Los Angeles's super a-hole FBI agent Jonas Ambrose.  Knew he looked familiar!  Anyway, really strong episode here.  Hope new/old husband Greg works out for Marissa, who deserves far better than Dr. Bull.  The only problem with the episode was actually the bad guy.  The minute anyone mentions a Fitbit-type item, that's how the crime is going to be solved.
NCIS had McGee being mean to Jimmy.  Geek-on-geek crime.  Average case of the week after a really sold episode on the 23rd.
Really good FBI episode.  Liked the interaction between Maggie and Dana about giving the family of a missing child some hope - disagreeing without it being an issue in the episode.  Interesting case of the week.  The program is really off to a solid start.
NCIS: New Orleans added Geoffrey Owens in what could be a semi-regular role as Commander Calvin Atkins, MD.  Well done show.  Good Halloween-ish episode that spiraled out of control near the end.
Here's a stunner, Criminal Minds had Matthew Gray Gubler direct the Halloween episode.  Liked the JJ flashbacks.  As soon as the guy I remember as OLTL’s Kevin Buchanan showed up as an old acquaintance of JJ's while she was working through her past issues – the bad guy was likely set.
Thought Peter Gallagher was so over the top on Murphy Brown that it took away from what could have been a compare/contrast between Murphy's CNC and Avery's Wolf Network.  Did like Pat coming into his own during the election coverage.
Caught up on the last two MacGyver episodes.  Last week's episode was perfectly MacGyver - action, cool ways to save themselves.  Everything being great with Mac's Dad doesn't work since that means 20-plus years of being abandoned by Daddy after Mom died was really glossed over.  Speaking of glossed over, poor Jill and her murder was mentioned once in what was other a "look at these wacky badguys" episode Friday night.  Once again, the romantic partner of a male lead on a CBS series was kidnapped by the big bad and put in a room where she could be fridged.  Unlike poor Michelle Hanna, Nasha here survived but Murdoc made it clear there won't be a happy ending for Mac.  Feh.   Oh, and I sort of hoped that Jill was really alive – badly hurt but her death was put out there to throw off Murdoc.  No.  Jill was killed for no other reason but to make Mac sad and return to work.  Double feh.

Anything else beyond that would just be extra xP Thank you so sos much!!!!
I do, do family fc help! (Sidebar: holy shit I did not realize Shamier was only a year older than me, probably because I don’t actually look my age and therefore think everyone is hella older than me. It’s fine, I’m fine.)

9 PRODUCTIONS THAT PLAN TO RESTART HOLLYWOOD IN ATLANTA POST-COVID
Hollywood is in the process of re-opening, even in the midst of a continuing pandemic. All of the major guilds have given safety guidelines to their respective states and have been approved by the Governors. Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R) set his own guidelines on May 22 and on June 12 essentially opened Georgia Film up for business. Last week, commercials started in earnest. This week, a basic cable series that was postponed, restarts. Today a major music video with Tyrese and Cee Lo Green is shooting. In two weeks, Tyler Perry will implement Camp Quarantine (his extensive 30-page document) bringing back his BET+ series. Actors, stunt players, background extras are all itching to get back to work. The key going forward is to be vigilant on how to do that safely and effectively. Listed below are shows that have stated in production trades shooting start dates. Some were already cast before the shutdown, some have not announced casting breakdowns yet. Of course, all of this could change depending on flattening the curve and future shutdowns. I also included some titles that will film within a 4-hour driving distance. Atlanta artists will frequently travel for the opportunity to work.
Terror Lakes Drive (UMC)
June 25-July 15
Atlanta
Malik Yoba, Lamman Rucker
On the heels of a recent pandemic, and calls for Social Distancing, a single mother tries to dodge her troubled past by relocating to another city with her defiant teenager, only to discover there are forces that cannot be outrun.
Takeaway-The Urban Movie Channel (UMC) has only been around for 5 years, but they have consistently been putting out original content. It doesn’t surprise me that they were able to get back on their feet before most, due to smaller budgets and crew.
Tyler Perry’s Sistas
July 8-19
Atlanta
SISTAS, follows a group of single black women from different walks of life who bond over their one common thread: why am I single? In this bold new series, viewers watch these women navigate their "complicated love life" status, careers and friendship through the ups-and-downs of living in a modern world of social media and unrealistic relationship goals
Takeaway- The first production to shoot under Tyler Perry’s Camp Quarantine, everybody will be looking at the studio to see if this plan works out and if others will be emulating its execution.
Tyler Perry’s The Oval
July 28-Aug 9
Atlanta
The Oval tells the story of a family placed in the White House by people of power while also highlighting the personal side and everyday lives of the staff who run the inner workings of the nation's most iconic residence.
Takeaway- The second production that will shoot under Tyler Perry’s Camp Quarantine. Any missteps and mistakes that occurred on “Sistas” I’m sure will be resolved for “The Oval”
Alice
August 2020
Atlanta & Savannah
Keke Palmer, Common, Johnny Lee Miller
It's 1973 all over America, except in one 55-acre plot in Florida, where it's still 1855, and slavery exists on a cotton plantation. Alice escapes her owner to discover her new world and take revenge on her old master.
Takeaway-Savannah is known to shoot the slavery period pieces needed due to its swamps, marshlands, and plantations. The parallel universe is set in the 1970s. COVID-era productions with tons of costumes will be a tough endeavor for any project.
American Underdog
August 31
Atlanta
Kurt Warner
A faith-based biopic based on the life of NFL Hall of Fame quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Kurt Warner. American Underdog will follow the life story of Warner from a young man stocking shelves at a supermarket and an undrafted free agent in the NFL to how he became a two-time NFL MVP quarterback for the St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals, and New York Giants. (August 31 - October 16)
Takeaway- Originally this was picked by Lionsgate and slated for a December 18 release. Obviously that will be postponed. I do not know if next Christmas will be another theatrical window, or perhaps Easter 2021.
Black Adam
Mid-October 2020
Atlanta
Dwayne Johnson
Black Adam is a super-villain, occasional antihero, and the archenemy of the superhero formerly known as Captain Marvel, Shazam. Hawkman will have a major role in the film. Hawkman is a winged vigilante who fights crime using a flight harness made from Nth metal and a mace.
Takeaway: The Rock has a solid history of shooting in Georgia (even purchasing property). The Marvel universe is known to camp at Pinewood Studios, with houses and apartments across the street (Pinewood Forest), it is possible that cast and crew can quarantine there if needed.
Bringing Down the Government
August 23
Atlanta
The Bordeaux's are hit with a ton of bricks when their 17-year-old son is diagnosed with a life-threatening rare cancer. The already struggling family try and get the money they need to heal their son. As his conditions worsen; you will see a totally different side of the family. Blaming the President for her son’s misfortune, Tina and her eldest son take The President of The United States Hostage.
Takeaway: I couldn’t find much information on IMDB, other than this was a feature film. It surely maybe indie, but was featured in enough big publications to warrant a mention.
Castle Falls
Mid-Late July 2020
Birmingham, Alabama
Dolph Lundgren, Scott Adkins
Three million dollars are hidden in a luxurious condominium known as The Castle. Two vicious rival gangs led by Deacon and Shea, are after the hidden cash but before they can retrieve it, the building’s janitor Mike stumbles upon it. The three groups are battling for the prize but are all under a ticking time bomb, as the building is strapped with dynamite to be demolished by the city. The three groups have 8 hours to retrieve the cash and get out alive.
Takeaway- Who doesn’t want a good old-fashioned shoot ‘em up movie with man-made explosions. The Alabama film office has been making inroads the last year luring more productions to the state. However, in a COVID-era, what will these fight scenes look like?
Ms. Marvel (working title “Jersey”)
August 2020
Atlanta
The show will center on Marvel's first Muslim superhero to star in her own comic book title. Ms. Marvel as a comic and heroine has existed since 1976, with the character Carol Danvers using the name for her crime-fighting escapades. The latest incarnation, and the one the show will be focusing on, is a teenager named Kamela Khan. Khan broke ground by becoming Marvel’s first Muslim character to be leading her own comics title. Her identity as a Pakistani American, living in a religious family in New Jersey whilst trying to find her own way, has been a major focus of the stories. Her powers have been described as polymorphous, meaning she has the ability to stretch and change her shape.
Takeaway- This is supposed to be a series for Disney+ along with several other Marvel spinoffs. Please refer to my earlier statement about “Black Adam” in regards to shooting at Pinewood Studios.
“Creepshow”, “Stranger Things”, “Dear Evan Hansen”, “Vacation Friends”, “Macgyver”, “Black Lightning”, “Dynasty”, “Atlanta”, “Ant-Man”, “Loki”, “Falcon and The Winter Soldier”, “Shrunk” are all productions that were halted and/or delayed due to the pandemic. As of print time, there are no announced dates of their return.

Introduction rant:
Well taboo subject having men running for cover running for cover once again. To be honest I was one of them (pathetic), I’ve beat myself cause so conflicting and if you’re an over thinker like me you put yourself in a bad mind place.
Heterosexual men finding transgender women attractive. It is a thing, it’s going on around you and sometimes you don’t even know it. When did it hit for me, senior prom actually. I was friends with a cis woman who had a friend that was a trans woman (she actually went to high school with us). Never asked questions, never really talked to her, or anything. I was confused or more like self tripping lol, confused that I was attracted to her... It settled in that was attracted to her on prom night, everyone met up, taking pics, and hiding shit lol. She got that there, got out the car and I saw her in her prom dress.. I believe I had a unbelievable poker face cause when I saw her my anxiety was on MAX👀🤯 . Thank god it was hot cause my sweaty forehead would of gave me away, my heart really was beating pretty hard probably should sat down or saw a doctor lol. I’m nervous when talking to females but when it came to her mouth got super dry, cold sweats, shaking... have seen a cartoon character get in a situation and they literally lose all their color..... Yea that was me 🤷🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️👈🏾... At the time I didn’t know what I was feeling I was attracted to her but (00’s me) it was homo or gay. I didn’t understood what was trans was, all I knew she was born a boy and wanted to be girl, I was attracted to her but I couldn’t be 😔... Most of my 20’s was pretty good, community college🙄🙄 only thing it taught me was there wasn’t only one. It came full circle once started working at night club. Some have it harder than others, some just get all the genetics from their father (bone structure and what not) and some naturally transition over beautifully. I was so confused with my own self. I started to question my sexuality am I gay, bi, or straight.... All I knew I saw a few of them really attractive. Soooo I let a few guys over time convince me to try new things aka don’t knock it until you try it.... I Tried it so now I can knock it... wasn’t for me at all so why did I find trans women attractive. Had to do something and it was nothing, kept it to myself. WHY the usual bs, thought it was wrong more likely something wrong with me, definitely didn’t have anyone to talk to, family hell no, the bro’s kidding me right?? I’ve kept to myself actually there’s one chick during high school told her I thought I was bi cause I like the trans girl at school but that was 20+ years ago...
So now my late 20’s going into my 30’s and I’ve lived with this Secret for about 5-7 years.. Malik Yoba, you know the name and you know what he said. Felt scared for him but when I actually saw the full interview I was really taking away how confident in how he talked and what point he brought up and people that were also on the show also brought some good points as well.
There’s nothing wrong with being a heterosexual man being attracted to a transgender woman.
Trans women are women.
Gender assigned at birth by a doctor doesn’t really mean that’s gender the child really feels.
At this point in my life I don’t know if I would cross paths with trans woman but I definitely for sure will treat her with respect like any other woman on this earth

Stars, Community Partners Bring Inspiration to DC Youth at Southeast Tennis and Learning Center from Clayton Lawrence on Vimeo.
It was an incredible day for guests of the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center, Washington, D.C., where leading ladies Venus and Serena Williams, and actor Malik Yoba spent time with more than 100 attendees. “A Family Affair,” presented December 2, 2017, was an opportunity for guests to spend time with these truly inspiring individuals.
And the timing could not have been better. The holiday season married perfectly with the afternoon’s takeaway: Investing in the community and giving selflessly aids in building bridges to a brighter future. Leap Foundation, DC, a nonprofit partner organization of LEAP Staffing Solutions that provides high-quality health care at military facilities across country, believes in future generations, trusting that the work being done today can help children reach goals that might otherwise seem unattainable.
The Center is situated in Ward 8, where a higher concentration of economically challenged individuals call home, and the Williams sisters’ commitment to supporting a bright future through efforts like the Yetunde Price Resource Center and the Williams Sister Fund are having a huge impact on today’s youth.
It was in the spirit of love, leadership and community that the talented guests of honor joined Malik Yoba in uplifting the community’s youth scholars that regularly attend the Center’s activities and programs. His most recent acting can be seen in “Empire,” but he has had roles in “New York Undercover,” “Cool Runnings,” “Alphas,” and “Revolution,” among others. Born and raised in the Bronx, he is working with other community members to be the positive role model that other African American males can look up to. LEAP founder and CEO Dr. Clayton Lawrence said men like Malik are assisting young African American men to achieve greater heights.
Of course, the spotlight also belonged to Cora Masters Barry. The vision and determination of this very special lady is the reason the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center exists at all. Her mission was simple: To provide a safe place for children to grow and play in a community that was in desperate need of a haven such as this. In the early ‘90s, she filled a baron field with tennis courts devoted to the area’s youth and continued to cultivate that mission in 1995, when she made tennis a bridge to higher achievement, opening the doors to the Center. Thousands of children have benefitted from the resources offered there, many of whom have gone on to graduate college or become accomplished athletes.
Leap Foundation, DC, shares a similar mission: To help disadvantaged youth reach their goals. Dr. Lawrence said he welcomes any opportunity to help build bridges between hope and achievement in the District of Columbia and surrounding communities. And the timing, he said, couldn’t have been better for this “family affair.” “The holidays are a special time and bring with them a spirit of giving,” he said. “It is particularly fitting that we support this special cause as we remember the less fortunate around Christmas and Thanksgiving.”
Youth advocate Anton House said the underserved children who benefit from the SETLC’s programming are fortunate to be supported by the community partners who invest in their future.
Proceeds from “A Family Affair” have benefitted the Williams Fund and Yetunde Price Resource Center.
