Reposted from @madibellehair Playing catch up again and posting my PREVIOUS creation on @mandiyo719 (we just redid her color recently 😅) but it seemed perfect for the Season! Mandi came to me with the good ole faded minty green blue, we touched up her roots with cream bleach and @brazilianbondbuilder and then decided to just see what we could do with the ends without compromising them so opted for trusty @malibucpro BUT with water 💦 this time and not developer! Pro tips 🤓 •Saturate Saturate saturate and then saturate again •REALLY squeeze that product in there! Like your hands should hurt a bit 🤪 (please don’t ACTUALLY hurt yourself thou okay friends👀) •Keep it wet 😅 yes- that’s what she said but REALLY- the drier it gets the less it works, spray it down if needed! •I always feel like a little encapsulation with some mechés lreally helps! •LET IT SIT- for the full 45, sometimes a full hour for the last sections you did! P U R P L E 💨 H A Z E Swipe right because holy smokes we did some things!! I think it’s easy to look at hair and go oh, this is light, itll be easy to remove the existing color and get my goal. And that is exactly when the hair gods tell you to kick rocks 🤣🤣🤣 I went in with my @malibucpro CPR first to remove some of copper. After that processed, I did the matrix color eraser with water to also budge her hair a bit. The words “orange as the almighty sun” definitely rang in my head lol. I then did babylights with 7 volume and while her new growth lifted amazing, her ends still were in yellow land. Idk if you all creep on the color wheel, but yellow and purple neutralize each other. So what did I do? I added blues and pinks into her formula to try super hard to create a dimensional purple. And even after, I STILL wasn’t happy so I went over her hair with even more purple. Is it the exact color goal? No. Is it a solid plan b? Yes. Is my client happy? YES!
