ᡣ𐭩 Penny ᡣ𐭩: Ooooh this sweet child, I just want to take her away from all of her troubles-
~It’s been a long day for Penny. She’s been spending most of the day tutoring Vincent and Jas, taking them out into the wilderness and to the library. Standing outside for a moment while the rain pelted the library rooftops. Of course, eagerly chatting with farmer while they ran around town doing their usual chores.
~ Between all that of course she’d have a altercation with her mother. Nothing she can’t handle but that dosen’t mean it dosen’t hurt any less. So, she practically dragged her feet back to her camper (RV? Whatever that thing is called).
~She reaches out for the handle of the door, then she stops. What this…?Her eyes blowing open slightly as she sees a neat envelope sticking out of the crack in the door. She see’s her name written in a sparkly gel pen as she retrieves from the door. Her heart starts to beat a bit harder in chest…
~She carefully opens the envelope. The scent of a sweet smelling perfume pulls at her heart strings further. Someone must have put a lot of thought into this little gift…for her…?
~Unfolding the paper from inside, she takes in a sharp breath. It’s a portrait drawing, of her sitting in fields. It’s gorgeous… It looks exactly like her… Penny marvels at each pencil stroke. Even the little smudges at the ends of the paper catch her eye. She almost feels like crying. And a single tear does fall when she sees the signature at the bottom.
From: (Farmer)
~The farmer, as if one Que, appears behind her. “Oh you found it! I was worried it might-“
~She can’t hold herself back from throwing her arms around the farmer and hugging them tight. The farmer returning the embrace happily. Penny didn’t know how the farmer knew, but she needed to see this after the kind of day shes had.
~She frames the drawing and keeps it in a special place her mother can’t find. Often looking at it when she needs a pick me up and instantly she feels a little better about life.
ᡣ𐭩Shane ᡣ𐭩 Disclaimer: Due to my own personal experiences/triggers I’ve been warned by my friends I shouldn’t play his route and I’ve only really picked up things here and there so it may not be perfect, but I still want to include him as he is still very deserving of affection. That being said, this is where farmer and Shane have a few hearts between each other and he dosen’t hate them entirely ^^
~Another late night walking back alone to his Aunt’s house from the saloon. His head is swimming with all the beer in his veins, swaying from side to side on his feet as he walks. Eventually arriving to his doorstep, through his blurry visions. He makes out his name on the front of his door. “Shaaane… thats my name.”
~His a bit confused at first. Reaching out to touch the letters of his name written in the sparkling gel ink. That’s when realized his name is written on an envelope of some kind. The confusion on his face only deepens. What kind of joke was this? He certainly wasn’t laughing.
~He grumbled as he fumbled with opening the letter. Revealing the picture of himself with his chicken Charlie… He blinks… and blinks again… He stares at the picture for a long time. His drunken mind unable to process what his looking at. At the bottom of the page he reads:
“From (Farmer)”
~He feels a tightness form in his chest. He almost wants to be angry the farmer left this for him to find… Yet… he thumbs over the thin strides of ink forming his face.
~After several minutes of just standing there holding the drawing, he carefully tucks the drawing into his coat pocket. Wondering inside and briefly forgetting about it as he throws himself into bed to sleep off the hangover. The farmer somehow finding themselves into his dreams.
~He won’t bring up the drawing for a few days I think. Not exactly knowing what to say. It isn’t until he sees the farmer one random afternoon buying supplies from Marnie that he catches them before they leave.
“Uhh, thanks for this.” He takes the folded piece of paper out from his pocket, unable to look the farmer in their eyes. “It’s nice…”
ᡣ𐭩Maru ᡣ𐭩
She’s having her afternoon sit near the saloon. Enjoying the warm air and peaceful chirping of the birds near by. Penny usually does by to sit with her sometimes, but she’s pleasantly surprised to find the farmer waving at them. A brand new battery pack in their hand, instantly she perks up, wondering if perhaps…
~ It is! She’s overjoyed to receive another battery pack from the farmer. Maru already knows the exactly project she’ll use it for. She waves the farmer good bye as they have other things to do.
~Once they’ve gone. Something feels different… about this battery pack. Sitting back down and inspecting the object more closely. She noticed theres something attached to the battery. An envelope with her name written on it. “Hmmm?”
~Cursorily, she thumbed the letter open. Using the upmost of care to unravel the drawing inside. Her eyes went wide with surprise. A drawing of her at the clinic writing something on a clipboard. It was so… life like. Just by looking it over, Maru could tell it was done with care. She smiled fondly. A loud, she read: “From, (Farmer)
~Quickly, she hurried after the farmer, hoping they hadn’t gotten to far. Seeing them about to head back to their farm, she blitzed it. Hugging them from behind as she reached them. “Thank you farmer! This is the best!”
~Another one to frame it and place it somewhere special. Considers it one of her most prized possessions.
ᡣ𐭩Sebastian ᡣ𐭩
~Lizard blinking at 10am in the morning. Sebastian reaches to turn the alarm off on his phone. He groans and grumbles for a few minutes before deciding to sit up and move over to his computer. He placed his fingers on his keyboard, the abruptly stopped when he felt a strange sensation on the pads of his fingers.
~Tilting his head, he spotted… an envelope His name written in a neat sparkly cursive. Ugh… he hoped this wasn’t a joke from his mother. He carelessly ripped the envelope open, though he was careful with the contents inside. Unfolding the paper, his eyes landed on a drawing of him… one of him working on his motorcycle. One of the corners of the page reading: From (Farmer)
~Sebastian.exe has stopped working-
~He takes a slow deep breath in, heart beating wildly inside his chest. He found the gesture to be so… sweet. Sebastian admires the piece for a long while before he can focus on anything. He places it somewhere safe but where he can still admire it within his working space. It’s all he can think about for the entire days (And probably for several days after)
~In the evening time, he purposely places himself near the mines so he can show his appreciation to the farmer. He waves them over as soon as he sees them. He becomes a little shy rubbing the back of his neck nervously, but he does want to say something. “Hey, I found the drawing on my desk… Thank you… That was very kind of you…” Will hesitate to go in for a hug but if farmer meets them halfway he will gladly embrace them.
ᡣ𐭩Leahᡣ𐭩 Disclaimer#2: I haven’t tried to romance Leah yet and I know the very baseline of her personality so I apologize (again) if this one isn’t perfect but also still wanted to include her.
~Leah’s been inside her small home for most of the afternoon working on her latest project. Deciding to take a stroll through town to take a small break and stretch her limbs out. She opens her door and catches the glimpse of something fluttering downward and landing on her door mat. An envelope? What could this be?
~ Inspecting the object, she traces her finger over her name. Some of the glitter from the Gel pen rubbing off. She can’t hide the smile that creeps onto her face. She’s a bit giddy over receiving something so mysterious and thoughtful!
~She opens the letter and finds the portrait of herself inside. She’s smiling happily with her house in the background. Lead is amazed by the penmanship. Her eyes glaze over every detail, her heart swelling with emotion. At the bottom of the page is a signature: From (Farmer). She lets out a happy squeal and lightly presses the drawing to her chest.
~Quickly, she runs inside to find a frame for the piece. Placing it on a special place on her wall where she can easily admire it. Then she takes off into town as originally planned. Now with a new motive in mind.
~She’s happy to find the farmer running around town. Lead quickly catches them and pulls them into a warm hug. “Farmer! I didn’t know you could draw! I love the gift you left for me! We should have drawing sessions together!” She’s just so happy and excited to have someone to relate too and the gesture was so sweet to her.
ᡣ𐭩Sam(son) ᡣ𐭩
~Okay, okay, so his already well into his morning routine before he notices anything. He comes back into his room to retrieve his skateboard when he then notices something tapped to it. An envelope with his name written on it. He eyes cursorily as he picks it up. Honestly having no idea what the letter could possibly be about.
~Opening it up, he find the drawing of him on his skateboard. A really well done drawing of him on his skateboard. “Wow.” He grips both ends of the paper and takes a moment to admire it. Eventually finding the signature at the bottom corner of the page. From: (Farmer).
~He breaks out into a wide smile. He can feel the warmth of his own face and his heart swoons. He places the drawing on his dresser before taking off without his skateboard. He briefly pauses outside, having mean to have grabbed it. But his brain is spinning so much he just waves off the skateboard and takes off on foot to see if the farmer might be wondering around somewhere.
~And his right. He catches them coming out of the community center. He approaches them with a smile thats returned to him. “So, when did you have time to sneak into my room hm?” He teases lightly, and they share a laugh together. “Hey but really, that was really nice of you. You’re really talented!”
~Another one to become shy when he goes in for a hug but once he feels the farmer wrap their arms around him, his content.
~He’ll stick around a moment to catch up with farmer, inviting them to hangout with him and his friends sometime at the saloon. He gives them one last hug before letting them get back to their work. The whole walk home his smiling like his on top of the world.
~ Tapes up the drawing somewhere in his room, his mom asks him about one time and he blushed the whole time as he explained the farmer gave it to him. Mom finds it sweet and teases her son about it.
ᡣ𐭩 Haleyᡣ𐭩
~ Haley opens the door to her shared home and finds the farmer standing there, mud and all, trying to place the envelope of the frame of her door. They stare at each other for a moment before he nose scrunches up as she notices the mud caked around their boots. “What are you doing?” She asks a bit dryly before she notices her name inscribed on the letter.
~”Oh! Is that for me?” She plucks the letter from the farmers hand before they have anytime to explain themselves. They stand there awkwardly as she doesn’t hesitate to rip the letter open. Revealing the drawing of her with her camera. Her face turns into one of surprise, a little oh leave her lips. it’s a bit hard to tell at first if she likes the drawing…
~Then she smiles gleefully. Spinning around with the drawing still in her hands and hugging it to her chest (not so gently as Leah but the drawings fine ^^). She goes to hug the farmer but stops when they realize they’re still covered in mud. So, instead, she gently lays her hand on their shoulder, giving it a light squeeze.
~”You made me look so pretty! Thank you! If you maybe… clean up a little maybe you can join Emily and I for dinner?” The farmer happily agrees. At dinner time is when Haley hugs them properly now that their clean. Even going as far as to compliment the shampoo they used. “So much better now that all the mud is gone!” (It’s a compliment, I promise)
~At dinner time, the farmer can see Haley’s placed the drawing in a frame and has it in her living room where everyone can gaze upon her beauty capture by the farmer.
ᡣ𐭩 Harveyᡣ𐭩
~”Alright (Farmer), just take this medication as directed and make sure to stay hydrated okay? And try to be careful in those mines!” Harvey’s gives the farmer a friendly smile as they are discharged from their clinic. Linus having brought them him when he found them exhausted in mines some time during the day. He was glad to see they were alright and hoped they found some time to get some rest.
~As his going to finalize his paperwork and pass it on to Maru, he sees an envelope on top of his other paperwork… when did that get there? He read his name on the letter, lightly pulling it from his clip board. He rest up against the counter, pulling the drawing from inside. A drawing of him taking a stroll through the patchy area in town. It’s so lovely… it takes him a moment to realize it is him. “From… (Farmer)”
~His so touched by the kind gesture he just stand there for a long time. Maru has to come find him to notify him he has Marnie waiting for him and he quickly has to tuck away the piece of paper in his coat. Clearing his throat and desperately trying to compose himself. “Sir your face is a little red are you okay?”
Stutters out a: “O-Oh yes! I-I’m fine just a little warm is all.”
~His a little distracted throughout the day and he can’t seem to stifle the rapid beating of his heart. His already thinking of something he can give to the farmer as appreciation… but he can’t seem to find anything he deems would speak his gratitude… Oh well maybe…!
~After locking up the clinic for the day, he catches the farmer out of the corner of his eye. He hollers for them and smiles brightly as they approach him. He lightly scolds them for not being in bed and resting, but quickly forgives them when they show him the bottle of water tucked away in their overalls (Or however farmer may carry this item ^^)
~”Oh and thank you for the uh… letter you left me. That was nice of you…” Is a blushing red mess and his nervously fiddling with his hands. “Um don’t worry about the bill this time. I’ll take care of it… just this one.” His startled when the farmer hugs him out of nowhere. The scent of the earth coming of their clothes makes his mind go a little blank., though deep down he enjoys the interaction.
~Has the drawing carefully tapped onto his clipboard so he always had it with him.
ᡣ𐭩Emilyᡣ𐭩
~Emily’s happily bursts through the doors of the saloon for her shift. There dosen’t seem to be too many patrons yet as she walked over to the other side of the counter. Gus appeares suddenly and catches her attention. “Hey! Secret admirer left this for you.” He claims with a wink as he slides over an envelope to her.
~”Oh! A secret admirer?” She looks at her name on the letter fondly. Closing her eyes as she holds it up above her face, almost if she were trying to conjure a face of who would have left this for her. The anticipation becomes too much as none of the faces she makes seem’s right. She impatiently opens the letter and finds the drawing of her dancing elegantly inside.
~She gasps and her eyes double in size…. Then promptly screams in absolute delight, jumping up and down on her feet. Gus shaking his head and smiling in the back ground while he prepares for the salon. “Make sure to read the bottom left corner.” When Emily hears this, she seizes her jumping and looks back at the drawing. From: (Farmer)
~ It’s at that exact moment farmer walks through the front doors. Emily sequels happily upon seeing them. Immediately running to practically jump into their arms. “(Farmer)! This is so sweet, I love it so much! Thank you, thank you, thank you!” She gives you a tender kiss on the cheek that has farmer melting. Me too farmer, me too.
~Invites them to have a drink at the bar while she works. Every so often coming over to talk with them. Anyone can tell she has an extra pep in her step and her eyes are dazzling every chance she speaks with the farmer.
~ Frames the drawing and places it in a special spot in her room. Frequently picks it up and talks to it as if it the farmer themselves.
ᡣ𐭩Elliotᡣ𐭩
~Elliot is peacefully taking his afternoon walk, his mind a bit busy with thinking about his writings. On his way back, he crosses paths with the farmer. Seemingly in a mad dash to get where they were going, though they do wave at each other and smile before they disappear from his sight.
~Upon returning home, he instantly spots the envelope on his door. “My, my, what is this?” He says to himself, gingerly picking up the letter and delicately prying it open. Inside, is a beautiful drawing of him at his piano. A hushed gasp leaves his lips. He covers his mouth with his finger tips as his in pleasant shock. His eyes travel all over the drawing until he finds the signature at the bottom. From: (Farmer)
~He shakes his with a smile on his face. “Oh, that farmer.” He speaks lovingly. He takes the drawing inside where he sets it on his piano like a sheet of music. Theres something brand new brewing in his mind. He sits himself before the piano, fingers tapping away at the keys experimentally. Until theres a new song dancing on them. It’s not long before his scribbling notes on blanks sheet music.
~Before the sun goes down, Elliot decides to take one final stroll through town. In hopes to find the farmer still running their many errands. Lucky for him, he finds them doing just that. Snagging them as gently as he by the arm, he playfully swings them around. “There you are (Farmer)! If I may have a few moments of your time.”
~Sits them down on the nearest bench and shows them the song he wrote for them. (Yay swooning yet?) Together they sit and chat long after the suns gone down. Invites them over the following day so he can preform said song for them. “For your art of me. I was touched by it (farmer), allow me to show you my appreciation.
~The drawing sits on one side of his piano much like sheet music
ᡣ𐭩Abigail ᡣ𐭩
~Abigail is wondering the valley late into the evening. Hitting all of her usual spots and now headed for the graveyard. It’s a pretty normal evening when she first arrives. Then theres something laying on the ground that catches her eye. An envelope with her name on it, sitting in the middle of a gravestone. “Ooooh, spooky!”
~She reached for the envelope and looks over the writing. She turns it over a few times to see if there’s anything else mysterious about the object. When she dosen’t find anything more, Abigail opens the letter. Finding a drawing of her playing her instrument in a majestic looking manner. “From: (Farmer)”
~She holds the drawing up to the light to admire the details closer. She’s so touched by the gesture. She has half the mind to run over to the farmers house right now. But decided to simply find them in the morning. By the time she gets there, they’ll be long asleep.
~Best believe as soon as she wakes up for the day shes at the farmers door knocking. When they open the door, she dosen’t waste a second in throwing her arms around the farmers neck in an embrace. “Thank you so much for the drawing! It’s beautiful! I had to come over and say thank you!”
~She’ll stay awhile and chat with the farmer before heading home. But not before she invites them over to possibly have a game night or hangout at the salon.
~Frames the picture and has it in her room where she sees it at least once each day.
ᡣ𐭩Alexᡣ𐭩
~His outside throwing the football to himself before deciding to come inside. His grandparents are out and about at the moment, so he decides to sit at the kitchen table. Once his settled, he noticed something on the table. White envelope sitting undisturbed with his name on the front.
~Thinking its a note from his grandmother, he opens it without a second thought. His face drops when he sees the drawing of him inside. Football in hand. He gawks for a moment, totally caught off guard by the illustration. At the bottom he finds the infamous signature: From: (Farmer)
~He smirks at the discovery. Leaning his head into his palm while still holding the paper with admiration in his eyes. His ears momentarily perk up as he hears a familiar voice outside. His granny, and behold, the farmer themselves!
~Alex quickly gets up from his chair and quickly makes his way outside. Nearly running into his grandmother, she walks inside with a happy, knowing smile on her face. Chasing after the farmer, he catches them just in time. “Running away when you’ve left me such a charming gift?” His smirking but his mostly playing around.
~ Chats with the farmer and manages to slip in they should come over for dinner with him and his grandparents. To which farmer gladly agrees.
~While Alex was away flirting with the Farmer, his grandmother finds the image on the table and decides to place it on the fridge. Alex dosen’t have the heart to move and honestly its the perfect place for it.

cold wires
summary: you crashed in maldo kreis. and it’s cold.
word count: 752
warnings: language like once, i can't write blurbs
a/n: HELLOOOOOOO omg it feels so so nice to be back to writing after all this time !! thank u all for bearing with me as i went thru my slump :((( life has been a lot recently and im in over my head but ANYWAYS ofc i had to come back w shiny<333 will get on my requests asap too 🫡
“It's frigid on this damn planet.”
Din lets out the smallest huff and your remark, so small that you wouldn't have heard it if it weren't for his modulator. He's to your left, working on another panel of the ship as you try to get the electricity up and running.
It's been a good few hours since the Crest had crashed down into Maldo Kreis, and the ship had already gained a thin sheen of ice and touched freezing temperatures. Your companions were all dancing about, trying their best to help to no avail.
“Less grumbling, more working.” His voice cuts through the crisp air like a sword, shaking you from your frozen thoughts and back to the problem at hand. The wires were all frosted as well, apparently, even though you had warmed them not long ago. You twist them in your fingertips again with a sigh, careful not to shock your fingers.
Bustling about, you and Din fall back into a serene sort of silence as both of you focus your attention on the work in front of you again. His presence makes it easier for you to do the said thing, getting the wires to where they needed to be in order to start up the engine again.
“Good job.” Din nods his head at you in a sign of thanks and respect, noticing the lights flicker on. You beam, happy to have helped in some way. You both reenter the hull, content in your achievements and ready to start up the Crest again. The ice planet was– surprise surprise– not the most pleasant to spend one’s time.
Aaaaaaaaaand your hands were still freezing.
You hated complaining, really. Din had been so generous as to take you under his protection, to let you tag along as he and the Child traveled to countless planets. He had opened up, even if only in the slightest, making you feel more at home in the tiny ship then anywhere else you had been previously. Because of this, you felt a little weird complaining much, as silly as that seems and as small as this issue was.
But it was cold. And you couldn’t really feel your hands. Before you could think too much harder on it, the words roll off your tongue and tumble out of your mouth in a nearly pathetic grumble. “My hands are still fucking icebergs.” Your cheeks dust a shade pinker and your eyes drop down to your shoes as Din turns from his spot near his bed.
It’s silent in the hunk of the ship. You don't dare to peek up at the beast of a man in front of you, regretting even saying the words that had just come out of your mouth. How could you even say that? After he had just spent the whole time next to you in the cold? How inconsiderate. The urge to apologize rushes up into your throat before you can process it, ejecting from your mouth in some wicked sort of word vomit.
But, before you can even process that he’s moved at all, Din’s got your hands in his own, enveloped. The words of apology that were about to leave your mouth sputter and pop, dispersing into nothing more than a gasp of surprise. You forget he can move that fast sometimes.
His hands are warm. Tucked beneath gloves, they must feel quite soft, you think. You wish you knew. Sighing, you let his hands warm your own. And it's comfortable, this moment. There was no awkwardness in the silence, in the proximity, in the way your breaths match to create a melody that adorns the warmth in your hands and your cheeks.
You muster enough courage to tilt your head up to meet the sharp line of his visor, since turned soft by the way his thumb rubs back and forth on the back of your hand, barely any movement at all. “Thank you.” You breathe out, earnest in the way the words dance out of your mouth. He only offers a small nod, surely adorned with one of his soft smiles you know hide underneath his beskar visor.
And that's when you hear the Kid’s giggle.
Your eyes widen, Din’s head ticks up. “We should probably go check that out,” You quip, turning away from your moment before a second thought can be formulated. “Make sure he’s okay.” Your companion nods, streaking ahead of you as you draw your gun.
Something tells you he won’t be.

Cure pain
Jung Sungchan x Male reader
Angst
Beware of hefty contents such as
Thoughts of suicide
Depression
Mentions of sexual assault
Major character dying
Mention of blood
Mention of choking
Hello everyone, this is orecana back with a fic...I apologize for being late but...I just have no idea on what to write until now... Though this was mostly just me getting a ton of inspiration or copy paste from a certain web series....round 6....
Anyways as always I thank everyone who supported me so far and also beware of the content warnings if it makes you uncomfortable. Sad happy reading!
Y/n was staring blankly at the white wall of his room...his pale skin and the lifeless look on his face, just staring at the wall. He felt so weak to do anything...this singing competition of life and death was taking a toll on him...and not to mention he heard that his sister went missing. He felt no motivation to sing anymore...heck not even getting up from his bed.
*beep*
The door to his room opens as he looks at who it was...the alien who owned him..he felt disgusted to be owned by such a vile being..but what can he do...in a society run by these beings? The vile thing walked towards him and groomed him...he felt disgusted...he tried to ignore the touches..but it kept getting worse...he couldn't hold back any longer..he punched the being in the face..his last piece of sanity broke in a second. Blood spilled onto the floor as the vile thing looked up back at him..the being growled as it uses it's tentacles to subdue me...and inches me closer to it. Y/n knew what was gonna happen..but what can he do..he was powerless...and so...he could only accept his fate as the door closes.
Y/n was being healed in the infirmary...he was sleeping...with a strained expression..as if even in sleep..he doesn't find peace. The door to his room opened as the person sat on the chair near him. The person looked at his sleeping body. They moved closer to y/n. They held his chin as they looked at him with an unreadable expression. They lay a small kiss onto his neck before walking away.
It was time for round 6 of this godforsaken competition...y/n looked lifeless in his attire...a black shirt with black pants...he stepped onto the stage as he held the microphone stand. He could hear his heartbeat pounding as he looked at the many aliens watching the performance...
He looked around...where was sungchan? They were supposed to sing together...he sighed as the music was already starting...he thought back to the past...
They were just teens at the time..with sungchan being older by a year. Their relationship was quite rocky. Y/n couldn't really get along with sungchan at the time who liked tease with that same old unreadable expression. Eventually though..they gradually warmed up to each other, because sungchan helped y/n when he needed it most.
Y/n takes a deep breath...before opening his mouth..to sing
youtube
Heorakhaejwo ne son kkeutkkaji
Heorakhaejwo ne bal kkeutkkaji

Each word he sang felt like spitting blood out of his mouth...it was painful...but what can he do?
Budi naege sangcheoreul naejwo
Budi nal apeuge haejwo
Naega han banguldo an nameul ttaekkaji
Neoro muldeuryeo
It's like there's a lump in y/n's throat...he couldn't bring himself to sing his heart out at all...he felt like a puppet on a string... Not to mention...where's the person he wants to sing this to?
Muneojil i byeoldeulkkaji
Heuryeojil yeongwone muthin
Chagaun ne ipsul kkeute
Ilkeojwo nal, geurae nal, oh, oh
His throat feels so sore now...he just wants to end it all...he feels so weak...so useless...maybe he should just die...
Just as y/n started to think these thoughts, he hear a familiar voice began to sing as he straightens up a bit.
He's finally here...

Y/n relished in the sweet..familiar sound of sungchan's voice...it was as sweet as when they were practicing singing for the first time back in high school...such fond memories...
Jigeum naui sangcheoreul bwajwo
Jigeum nareul chiyuhaejwo
Nae burani geujeo garaanjdorok
Nege muldeulge
This reminds y/n of the time they were writing songs together...with sungchan leaning on him while they were coming up with ideas together...all while poking fun at each other...oh how he missed those times...now...happy memories like that are rare..
Geuryeojil i bamdeul wie
Sseureojil goyoe jillin
Nal boneun ne nundongjae
Masyeojwo nal, geurae nan, oh, oh
Y/n prepares himself to sing again as he takes another deep breath and let it out, he sang..alongside sungchan
Kkeuteopsneun i norae
Seororeul hyanghae chum chwo
Uriui iyagi
Yeongwone muthin chae
Y/n could feel sungchan stare him down from his right...he knows that sungchan knows he's not singing at his best...but he doesn't feel like singing right now...all he has is...depressed thoughts...and how to end it all... He sang again...his voice getting weaker by the minute...
Muneojil i byeoldeulkkaji
Heuryeojil yeongwone muthin
Chagaun ne ipsul kkeute
Ilkeojwo nal, geurae, nal
He hears the sound of a microphone stand falling to the ground..and footsteps approaching him..he turned to look at sungchan...questioning what the latter was planning to do. Under the heavy rain on their stage..and the many eyes down below...sungchan sang without his mic...while cupping y/n's cheeks. They sang..together..with y/n's voice...ringing out more due to the mic in his hand.
Geuryeojil i bamdeul wie
Sseureojil goyoe jillin
Nal boneun ne nundongjae
Masyeojwo nal, geurae nan, oh, oh
Sungchan leaned in to whisper a quiet "sorry" before he connects their lips. Y/n jolt in shock at the action..and felt like he was out of breath. Sungchan wrapped his larger hands around y/n's neck and began to squeeze. Y/n only looked at sungchan in shock..and tried to pull away..but sungchan was stronger..and kept y/n in his embrace...
No...please... Don't sungchan...I can't lose you too..
Y/n thought as he knew what sungchan was trying to do but he was powerless to stop it as the aliens below began to shoot sungchan..
The latter held on strong...keeping his grip on y/n's neck as he pull away with a small smile...blood dripping out of his mouth as he cough blood..and was bleeding all over the place. Y/n could only watch sungchan with tears in his eyes. A pained expression plastered onto his face.
"I love you"
That was all sungchan said...before he collapsed...lifelessly onto the floor with one last smile. Y/n could only stare at the motionless body in shock...love him?...he cried his heart out as he kneeled and hugged his friend's now dead body. He was being pulled away by the aliens..but he didn't budge..not wanting to leave his friend.
Unfortunately he was soon overwhelmed and dragged away...helplessly as he watched his would be boyfriend body..disappear from his sight
"hey...sungchan ah"
"yeah, y/n?"
A younger y/n asked his friend while they were sitting under a tree. the garden was full of flowers and the scenery around them was a sight to behold. Because the time was spring as well..only heightened the surroundings colorfulness.
"have you ever wondered about having a lover?"
Sungchan pretends to think..but eventually answered
"not really..why do you ask?"
Y/n gives him a skeptical look
"really? You have so many fans though."
Sungchan only chuckle and ruffle y/n's hair
"what? Jealous?"
Y/n scowl as he try to brush his hair back to normal
"ugh...whatever...and I'm not jealous!"
Sungchan chuckled, amused at y/n's antics as they lay against the tree. The sounds of birds chirping and the sounds of the grass was very soothing and peaceful.
"..if we don't have lovers by the time we debut...wanna date each other instead?"
Sungchan choked on air as he flushed. He was not expecting such a question. Y/n only looked at him, amused that he broke the unreadable expression.
"I'm just saying...you don't have to agree if you don't want to."
Sungchan..turn his head away...thinking in his mind...a moment later he looked at y/n again
"alright..if we don't have lovers by the time we debut..let's be each other's boyfriends."
They sealed the promise with matching rings that they bought together...maybe it started there...a love that would later blossom...
Y/n thought about that as he lay pale against the stage..his body littered with bullet holes and is bleeding profusely. He had lost this round..thus..he will pay for it with his life..for some reason..he doesn't mind dying..in fact...he somehow...found it...nice. maybe...he would finally find peace...
Y/n smiled one last time as he closed his eyes...letting himself die at the thought of his friend.
*thump*
*thump*
*thump*
*heart stopped sound*
"AND CUT!"
y/n opened his eyes as he sigh and get up. The fake blood was all over him and his body. he walked to the dressing room where the stylists and everyone helped him get the fake blood off. he went to change into his original attire as he sigh. The shoot was finally done after weeks of recording and shooting.
y/n wiped his face one more time before he went out, only to bump into a hard chest.
"oof"
"still bumping into me?"
y/n flushed red as he looked up to see his senior, sungchan. he stumbled back as he bowed politely while avoiding sungchan's gaze. after the kiss they had filmed...he can't even look at his senior in the eye.
y/n hear a chuckle emanating from the latter as he comes closer and tilt his chin upwards. he still refused to look at the senior.
"come on, you can't avoid looking at me forever"
y/n sigh as he relents and looked at sungchan. the older one chuckled at the blush on the younger's cheeks. he felt like teasing the younger male and so..he leaned in and wrapped his hands around the other's neck again..just like in the scene they rehearsed.
y/n immediately flushed at this and glared at his sunbae.
'i thought sunbaes were humble and kind hearted!!! not mischievous and predatory like this!!!' y/n thinks in his mind as he closes his eyes, not wanting to see what the latter had in mind.
sungchan only chuckle and moved away. y/n opened his eyes warily as he glared at sungchan again.
"please refrain from doing something like that again sunbae..."
sungchan only chuckled
"why not? it's fun seeing you this way"
y/n only grumbled in reply. he looked at sungchan. he was no longer bloody and seemed to now have changed into a set of clothes...thank god. but y/n wants to curse whoever thought it was a good idea for him to be paired with such a good looking idol. his heart can't take this.
"did you need me for anything?"
"The director just wanted to treat us to barbeque after finishing the shoot."
he only look at him...seeing as he was telling the truth. he relented.
"fine...let's go"
Sungchan only smiled and leaned in for a peck onto y/n's lips...which caused the other to flare up and glared at the other, Who only chuckled at the other's misery.
They walked together with the rest of the casts and directors. Sungchan secretly slid the "promise" rings from the shoot onto y/n's finger...which didn't go unnoticed but...the other said nothing. Despite his hate for the older's mischievous attitude, y/n couldn't help but smile.
maybe...just maybe...that promise they made in the shoot...might come true in real life.

Melting Point Masterlist
A Sculptor Din Djarin x Art PhD Reader Series
Summary: You're a first-year PhD at The University of Nevarro specialising in Mandalorian Art. When your favourite sculptor, the mysterious Mando, opens an art exhibition in the city, you're the first one to enrol. Unexpectedly, attending to that opening would end up changing your life forever.
Warnings: This is a slow burn, you've been warned!; a lot of talking about Art and PhD life; Reader is not Grogu's nanny but this is very Grogucentric if that makes sense; And Reader is Din's employee too; Very grumpy and antisocial Mando; Grogu is human but the only thing described are his eyes; Reader appearance is left blank except from the outfits; Age gap of 10-15 years;
A/N: This fic was absolutely inspired by that scene in Season 2 when Din is welding his ship in the ice planet Maldo Kreis. My brain went immediately into overdrive: hot man welding. And this is how this fic was born, but then the curse of the plot came to me and I have to brag about everything Fine Art has taught me. Mandalorian culture is super interesting from the point of view of the arts and iconography, and I couldn't resist writing this AU. I really hope you find it interesting!

Hm. Been meaning to interact more with the dave n bambi community here on tumblr
so uh... thoughts on dave if you havent said them already? Hes my personal favourite
DAVE!! i don't think i have talked about him here, no. he used to be my #1 favourite but that position got, uh... taken... still a close second though ^_^
i don't actually think he's CONSTANTLY miserable and sad. sometimes, yes, while working on fucked up secret machines, definitely, but i think most of the time he does come across as friendly and nice and that's not a lie or anything he just never deals with the problems in a good way so they kind of bulldoze him is all.
the funny part, however: I'm much better at writing/drawing/etc. really really sad characters so I'm pretty sure it comes across as if i do think he's constantly horribly depressed. i don't think this is much of an issue it's just a little comical
he definitely has layers of issues though. like I'm pretty sure the rocket accident is also canon to dnb (need to check that though) then there's the void which is pretty distressing on its own because it has endangered other people before not just him then there's the machine which most likely also had a negative effect on his relationships considering how he got muko + maldo to work on the thing while also not telling them what it is then there's expunged then there's the whole lord bambi situation which on its own is fucked up but then add in that that whole group is not only still active but also Extremely Dangerous and man this guy has a lot to worry about you'd think he would just totally collapse but he doesn't. he keeps going. while he certainly is self destructive he also has the fortitude to keep it up and that's part of why i find him so fascinating now. even before I thought he was interesting but now? man
and then another thing, the way he gets really mad really fast... think how in the dave week, by song 2 he's actively annoyed but hiding it behind a layer of Something then he just absolutely freaks out in polygonized which, if interdimensional dislocation really does happen under large amounts of stress as dave himself noted, means that he got so stressed out from losing a rap battle that he teleported. he's fascinating I'm telling you
i do not actually think he is as... whatever he is in daves house. since that game is from tristan's perspective, i like to think the whole thing is how tristan interprets it. so, dave doesn't actually get that angry, but tristan thinks he is, the house isn't that tall but it seems like that to tristan because he's a kid, etc. but that's just my thoughts i dont think that's how it was supposed to come across
i could go on and on about what relationships i think he has with everyone but I can't at the moment and it's not exactly related so i will save that for another time. hope that is sufficiently dave thought for you regardless i think about him a lot

Grogu looked at the vid his dad was holding and sighed. The caption was all wrong. They had been on Maldo Creis when he said that. And it had been cold. Really cold. Freezing cold. So cold that the Mandalorian’s armor was covered with frost cold.
He had gone outside to tell his protector that the Frog Lady was gone. With the eggs. The precious, delicious eggs. That was important information to share, right? But what does the Mandalorian do? Does he listen to Grogu explain that she left foot prints that showed her going somewhere else int he cavern? Nope. Does he even check to see if Grogu needs anything, anything at all? Nope.
What he does is ask Grogu to make himself useful! Useful! He was being useful. First he had been carefully staying out of the way. Grogu had learned that when Din Djarin was doing work around the Razor Crest it was best to not be underfoot. Second, as soon as he’d noticed that the Frog Lady was gone he had ventured out into the icy, snowy, cold to let the tall human know.
After all, she had taken the eggs and their container into the cold of the cavern and that didn’t seem like a good idea to Grogu. Finally, given his size relative to the tools the Mandalorian was using to fix up the ship, how useful could Grogu be? It’s not like he could heal the ship using the Force! If he could have done that he would have right after they crashed. He hated how cold his feet were getting in the icy and snow.
Grogu had gotten fed up waiting for the Mandalorian to understand him and had walked back over to the trail the Frog Lady had left. Maybe if Din saw that he would finally understand what Grogu was trying to tell him. Of course he couldn’t even walk that far without the annoyed human yelling at him. In a cavern full of ice and snow, Din Djarin had no chill.
“I know buddy. I’m sorry about that. Definitely not one of our best days.” Din commented as he noticed Grogu’s frown.
Grogu nodded his head at that. It had not been a good day. Crashing the ship had been bad. It being so cold made that worse. Then not being able to eat very much interfered with everything. Rations were not Grogu’s favorite food. Getting yelled at by his dad. Having to help find the Frog Lady. Finding the sticky, squishy, vindictive spiders as well. Uff. How many ways were there for a day to wrong?
He was pretty sure that between them, he and the Mandalorian had found almost all of them. He guessed it took team work to have such a miserable time. But then they had managed to make it through that day. That took team work as well. The Frog Lady had helped and even the pilots from the New Republic who had started all the mess by asking too many questions ended up helping them deal with the spiders, especially the gigantic one that almost crushed the ship. That was a kind of team work too.
Was that the lesson he was supposed to have learned from all that? Work as a team and things may get bad but eventually things will get better? That didn’t sound like one of the lessons the Jedi taught. Maybe they wouldn’t have had all those problems if they’d only cooperated with the authorities to begin with? Nope. Those New Republic guys didn’t search for any information until after they started shooting at them and the Mandalorian had found such a unique hiding place.
Maybe the lesson was don’t be a taxi service? Nah. That was too simple. How about, don’t break prisoner’s out of jails? Except what if the Mandalorian was the prisoner? The Imps had considered Grogu a prisoner and Din Djarin had broken him out of jail. Grogu was really glad that the Mandalorian had come back for him.
So maybe the lesson was… you are not going to learn a clear lesson from everything you go through the moment you go through it, or even later?
“Or maybe you learn not to give Peli a vid to write on when she has laryngitis?” Din commented as Grogu continued to stare at the vid.
Grogu nodded his head. Yup. That was definitely the lesson. Peli taught them new lessons all the time.

When you buy new lingerie for them
For: Frankie Morales, Din Djarin, Marcus Moreno, Agent Whiskey, Dave York, Oberyn Martell, Marcus Pike and Max Phillips
x Female reader
If you want a oneshot to extend on any of these then you can comment or send an ask request for what particular character!
There will be a * to mark ones that contain NSFW content but for this scenario most will (or at least allude to it)
Frankie*
When he comes home from work to find you spread out on the bed in a new lingerie set with matching suspenders he can’t find the words for a good two minutes. His eyes take their time as they follow down your whole body, taking in every inch. He doesn’t talk when he finally shuts his mouth that was hanging wide open and begins to strip himself, walking towards where you are lying on the bed. First his shirt, thrown somewhere at the other side of the room, then his socks that he almost falls over as he takes off, before finally reaching his jeans and boxers. You kneel up from the bed and motion for him to lie where you had been before straddling him and leaning down to whisper in his ear.
“Only good boys get to touch”
Din*
Din had never been the type to care what clothes you had on. He found you beautiful whether you were wrapped up in layers upon layers as you land on Maldo Kreis or in the tiny shorts and t-shirt that you wear around the Crest to sleep in. However, when you both get a night away from the Kid on Mos Eisley you decide to give him a treat. You manage to slip away from him at the market and buy something simple yet sexy to put on back at the Inn for the night. When he sees you in it at first he doesn’t know what to think but when his mind and body finally connect he decides to show you instead, throwing you over his shoulders, shutting the blackout curtains to keep out the light pouring in from the cantina, and showing you how you make him feel instead.
Marcus M*
Since moving in with Marcus and Missy, you two rarely get a night alone. However, with a sleepover planned at a friends house at the end of the week you decide to get a little something for the night. You don’t want anything with too many straps or buckles and instead going for a simple barely-anything-there choice. Marcus comes home from work to you cooking dinner, his favourite, and quickly jumps in for a shower. While he is in, you change out of your clothes and put the apron back on. When he comes downstairs his eyes almost pop out of his head as he takes in the sight before him - candles on the table, his new wife in the kitchen in an apron with little under it and a smirk on her face. You tell him to sit at the table while you plate dinner, taking off the apron and joining him at the table. You drink wine, teasing him under the table as your foot drags up one thigh, across his crotch, before back down the other and repeat. When dinner is finished expect the dishes to be left on the table as you are flung over his shoulder and taken straight to his bedroom with a slap to the ass.
“You’ll be the end of me Mrs Moreno”
Dave*
Dave had been away for another mission and when he phoned to say he would be back by 7pm you knew you wanted to be ready for him. You find one of the few lingerie sets that he hadn’t ripped (because he loved it that much and made sure to tell you that). You wait in the bedroom and hear the front door open and him shout your name through the house. You call back and decide to lie on the bed to wait for him. As soon as his eyes find you they turn darker than usual. He slowly undoes his tie and shirt, stalking towards you, before removing his trousers and boxers. When he is completely naked he kneels between your legs, stroking himself as he lets his hands graze up your thighs.
“What did I do to deserve this, baby?” he groans
Whiskey*
I did write something on this not that long ago.
After a long mission, Whiskey comes home ready to curl up on the couch with his darlin’ but when he finds you in the kitchen, strutting about in a red set with matching heels expect dinner to be put on pause as he bends you over the counter top. He will tease you like theres no tomorrow, his hands running up and down your legs, squeezing your chest and hips. He missed you while he was away and you, in the kitchen like this, is exactly the kind of scene he imagined to get him through the mission.
Oberyn*
Oberyn is a big fan of the naked form but when he is called to your chambers and finds you covered in a sheer, lace material he almost falters in his confidence for a moment. “How about tonight you let me treat you like a Prince?” you purr and he carefully guides himself to the top of the bed. You feed him berries and walk gracefully around the room, letting more and more of your skin expose as you do so, before you are finally free of the material and crawling up his body. Oberyn enjoys being with others physically, you the most, but he has never been this lust filled before.
Marcus P*
Marcus has been even more busy than usual with work and decided to make up with your favourite dinner cooked by him. You decide to bring dessert... After dinner, you retire to the couch with the bottle of wine and when hands start to wander and kisses start to deepen you stand and say you’ll be back in a minute. Thinking you’re away to the bathroom, Marcus pours another glass for you both but almost spills them both when you lean up against the doorway. You make sure to sway your hips a little bit more as you walk towards him, smirking at how his eyes follow down your whole body. You kneel in front of him, giggling at his mouth that hangs open and eyes that are wide.
“You’ve had a stressful few weeks, baby. Let me take care of you now...”
Max*
You had been teasing Max for a few days now, getting him worked up before telling him you had work to finish. You knew it would come to a head today and deciding to leave a little present under your clothes for him to find. His eyes were on you all day before he finally managed to get you alone in his office. He ripped your clothes off faster than he ever had before but stopped when he reached your final layer. “You’ve been so patient, Max. A little present for you,” you wink. He takes a moment, biting his lip, before ripping it off you and showing you just how much he liked it.
Whatever you do, maybe don’t spend too much on your new underwear.

Snowy Sunset
A/N I am a day behind on Dincember by @dindjarindiaries but I'm determined to still write. This fic is PURE FLUFF and I wrote it so quick there's still probably a lot of errors or just isn't that great. Please enjoy!
Word count 966
Fluffy white powder descended from the sky as you sat and watched from the pilot's chair of the Crest. The child was swaddled and tucked against your chest babbling softly in his sleep. Looking down at him you smiled to yourself and gently brushed one of his ears. Grogu gave a gentle coo causing your heart to flutter.
You had been traveling with Mando and the baby for well over a year now and couldn't have asked for a better family. The three of you had settled into a routine of getting pucks, hunting bounty, taking them back to Karga and of course, running into a problem here and there. The problem for today was of course the ship. The Crest had taken yet another rough landing on Maldo Kreis and needed external repairs. It wasn't as bad last time you had been here and thankfully there were no spiders chasing after you but the planet was still way too damn cold.
Shivering in your seat you pulled the child closer to you and stood. Making your way down the ladder you set the child on the cot you and Din shared, tucking the blankets around him as if making a little nest, and closed the door.
Deciding you would check on Din you grabbed your extra jacket and the old cape and gloves he had given to you and put them on. Opening the ramp you descended down and stepped into the crunchy snow. You didn't see Din right away and couldn't find any large damage on the ship - thank the maker- meaning repairs should be quick and easy. Walking around to the other side of the ship you found Din crouched down welding a panel back into place, the snow falling onto his armor and freezing to him.
“How’s it going?”
Din grunted and tilted his head in thought. “Not bad. Could be better. This should last us awhile.”
Nodding your own head you placed a hand on Din's shoulder and gave it a squeeze. The thick leather gloves kept your hands warm and away from the cold but they couldn't hide the tense muscles of your Din's rigid body underneath your hand.
"Din," you whispered, "it's so cold. You should come in and take a break."
Shrugging Din continued his work. "It's almost night fall and I'm nearly done. Then we can get out of here."
Letting out a sigh you watched your breath curl around in ribbons in front of your face. Turning away and tucking your hands in your pockets you decided to watch the last little bit of sun escape below the horizon. The sky was a landscape of beautiful rich colors in varying shades of purple, pink, and blue. It almost made the sky feel warm. It sent a shiver through your body as you tried to soak up any sort of warmth it could find.
Sunsets were one of your most favorite things in the entire galaxy. It symbolised the end of a rough day and that tomorrow was brand new. That no matter what life had in store there would always be something new to look forward to.
Closing your eyes and inhaling deeply you basked in the warm glow of the last bit of sun as frostbite nipped at your cheeks. When you started to exhale you felt a heavy object hit you in the back, knocking the wind out of your lungs and causing you to stumble.
Turning sharply you saw Din standing, already packing a new ball of snow into his hands as he eyed you down. Giggling, you swiftly ducked and swooped up your own pile of snow and packed it into a ball. Chucking it as hard as you could, the ball made impact with Din's pauldron and bursted into a flurry or powder; dusting his cape with a new layer of snow.
Din froze and looked down at his shoulder and gently brushed the snow off. A grin broke out across your face as you suppressed another giggle behind a gloved hand. Your smile quickly fell when Din started stalking towards you, his boots making an almost thundering crunch in the snow. Panicking you bolted for the ramp of the ship, arms swinging at your sides as you practically lept and galloped. You had almost made it to the safety of the ship when your foot slipped onto an icy patch of snow.
Before you made contact with the ground you felt strong arms wrap around you and turn you around causing you to land on top of freezing beskar with an 'oomph'. Giggling again you looked down at Din, his hands now resting on your hips as you straddled him. Although you couldn't see his face you knew underneath he was smiling at you and that warm brown eyes stares into your own.
"Riduur," Din whispered. His thumb brushed your hip as his other hand traveled up your side to cradle the side of your face.
Your cheeks deepened in shades of red as you felt heat over take the frostbite on your cheeks.
"Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum."
Tears sprang to your eyes as you repeated the words back to him. You had always found Mando'a beautiful and almost romantic and it was rare that you two exchanged those few words in fear of them losing their meaning.
Din swiped away the tears that streamed down your face and pulled you closer to him.
"Mureyca ni," he breathed out.
Lifting his helmet just enough you placed your lips against his.
This was your family. Your aliit.
Snow continued to gently fall around you as warmth from the kiss sent a raging fire through your soul as you continued to kiss your riduur. This was your new beginning. A new life.

₊˚ʚ 💙 ₊˚✧ ゚Side walk rule ₊˚ʚ 💙 ₊˚✧ ゚
Because he totally would and I had to read what happened to this man, watch it be animated and then watch it AGAIN with my nephew. And I was not prepared each and every single time! So to help cope with his uh… accident, I’m going to pretend it never happened and instead write this cute little fic. Still GN because I feel as if anyone who is Nanami’s love interest is def not walking next to the side walk with him around. So there! End report.
Music while writing (I’M SORRY ITS SAD I NEEDED IT AND ITS GOOD): https://youtu.be/PeW7qRy4Ng0?si=y60zePjuRmo9Hqki

Now, on to the show.
No warnings, just some fluff
Ask box 💙: Open
“Uuuugggh It’s too early for this.” They groaned miserably while dragging their feet along the concrete. Tired eyes barely open and a long yawn escaping their lips. While their fellow Jujutsu Sorcerer walked along side them, wide awake with his head held straight. At least one of them was conscious for this meeting at this ungodly hour. “Come along (Y/N). The sooner we get there, the sooner we can leave.”
They groaned once again. Raising their hands up to their eyes to attempt to rub the sleep out of them. It didn’t work. “Kento, you tell me that everytime we have one of these stupid meetings and every time Gojo always make it his *job* to make sure we stay so much longer then we need to.” It was Nanami’s turn to let out a small displeased groan. Knowing very well they were right by their statement. “It was worth a shot.” He grimaced.
(Y/N) walked a few steps… and halted suddenly. Looking to one side of them, they noticed Nanami standing a couple steps behind them. Unmoved and a look of concentration forming on his brows. “Nanami? Is everything alright?” They asked innocently, near too sweet for their own good. The sound of their voice caused Nanami to come back to the present. Abruptly shaking his head as his steps resumed as if nothing had happened. However, they watched as he walked toward them, arm extending out to snag them by the elbow and delicately pull them away from the busy street. Replacing himself in their place. Then, he motioned for their arm to wrap around his bicep, encouraging them to walk with him. Their eyes were wide with bewilderment, gazing at him with admiration. After the shock subsided, a wide smile ballooned onto their face. They buried their face into his shoulder; lovingly enough to cause the man to blush lightly.
“Your so sweet Ken~” He huffed at the nickname. Never would he ever allow anyone else to call him by such a sickingly sweet name. But for you? Well… he supposed he’d let it slide. “You should never walk next to the busy street. Not while I’m here at least.” He stated flatly, pushing his glasses up further onto his face to distract himself from utter cheesiness he was spewing. Gojo would taunt him relentlessly if he ever saw an inkling of this behavior. Which was one of the reasons he reserved this sort of mannerisms for the time he shared with their partner alone. And it just made things sweeter for (Y/N).
“Maybe after the meeting, if we have time, we could go to the bakery for coffee and maybe a treat?” The idea peeked Nanami’s interested. His blue icy eyes flickered over to them. A warm smiling playing at the corners of his lips. “Maybe, if you can manage to stay awake the whole meeting.”
“Awww Nanami noooo.” They whined dramatically, playing pulling on the mans arm. “They always talk about such boring things, it’s not my fault!”
“Then I suppose no treats for you then.”
“Nanaaaammiiiin, you’re so meeeaaan!”

Snow Day Serenity
Summary: A rest day on a snowy planet gives you the opportunity to share a fun afternoon sledding with Din and Grogu as you try to figure out where your relationship with Din stands.
Pairing: Din Djarin (the Mandalorian) x gn!reader
Warnings: fluff (like sheer, shameless, I’m grinning-like-an-idiot-writing-this fluff), pining
Rating: T
Word count: 2.6K
After a few days of nearly non-stop travel, you and Din decide it’s time for a proper rest day. The Mandalorian finds a sparsely populated planet which should be far below the Empire’s radar. The name is unfamiliar and you’re not sure what to expect, but at this point, you’re too stir-crazy to care.
“Brace yourself, we’re coming through atmo,” Din tells you from the pilot’s seat. You sit behind him, holding Grogu in your lap as the ship descends from the darkness of space into a clear blue sky. When you catch a glimpse of the white hills sparkling below, you gasp in delight.
“Oh, it’s beautiful!” you say, craning your neck for a better look.
“It’ll be too cold to be out long,” Din says, his tone apologetic, “but it seemed like our best option.”
“We’ll be fine if we bundle up, right, kiddo?” you ask Grogu, who peers up at you with his bright brown eyes and coos as though in response to your brimming excitement as you think of all the fun you can introduce him to.
Din finds a field nestled at the bottom of a hill, a spot he must consider strategically safe. As soon as the Razor Crest touches down, you leap out of your seat to find wrappings for yourself and Grogu.
“I hope these are comfortable,” you tell the child as you seat him on a crate and fit his feet into small felt boots you’d found in a market after crash landing on Maldo Kreis. Granted, he hadn’t seemed too bothered by the planet’s cold, but you had still worried. “You’re going to love the snow, Grogu. You’ll have a lot more fun with it here than we did last time. No spiders, only powder to play in. You can do all sorts of things with it. You can roll it into a snowperson, or make snowballs, or - ”
A wonderful idea comes to you just as Din descends from the cockpit, his boots thumping as he clears the lowest rungs of the ladder and swings to the floor.
“Din!” you exclaim. “Do you have anything around here that could double as a sled?”
Din’s visor locks with your eyes. “A sled?”
“Yeah! There’s a hill right by the ship. I think Grogu would get a kick out of it. You know how he loves speed and thrills.”
Din shakes his head a bit, and you coax, “Oh, come on. You know he’ll love it.”
“No, I’m sure he will,” Din says, and the amusement in his voice, evident even through the modulator, makes you realize you misinterpreted his previous gesture. “It’s a great idea. What sort of item do you think would work?”
“Maybe a spare tray or container,” you suggest as you shrug a coat over your clothes.
“I’ll see what I can do,” Din says, climbing back up the ladder to check the storage area by the generator room. You watch him go, a stab of wistful longing piercing your enthusiasm. For some time now you’ve been secretly harboring feelings for Din, but you’ve worked to conceal them. While you know that Din views you as a close companion, neither of you have openly expressed romantic feelings. Din has made a few gestures which kindled your hopes that he perhaps returned your affections, but you weren’t sure if you were just projecting meaning onto his actions.
You pull on a pair of gloves and, plucking Grogu from his seat, lower the side access ramp. You have to squint at the scene before you as the sun reflects off the snow, and you wonder if Din’s visor protects his eyes from the glare.
Din had declared the coast was clear when the ship landed, and though you trust his assessment, out of an abundance of caution you carefully survey the area before venturing from the cargo hold. Sure enough, there’s nothing but plains of unblemished, glittering snow and clusters of swaying pine trees kissing the hillside. Grogu babbles his interest, tilting his head as he takes in the sights. You hop off the ramp, your boots sinking deep into the snow. The child might have some trouble navigating the deep powder, but that’s what you’re there for.
You set Grogu down and he squeals, immediately thrusting his hands into the snow and throwing a tiny fistful into the air.
“Look at that, you made it snow!” you cheer him on. You scoop up a handful and sprinkle it between the pair of you, causing Grogu to grab at the falling flakes. “It’s pretty, huh?”
Grogu waddles through the snow with no apparent objective, simply absorbing the beauty around him. You follow him, giving him a hand when necessary and ooh-ing over the snow he picks up to show you.
Din’s voice, crackling as it carries over the snow, steals your attention away from Grogu as he calls your name and asks, “Will this work?
You look back at the Razor Crest, where Din holds up a large tray for your inspection. “That’s great!”
You pick up Grogu as Din approaches and asks you, “Where do you want this?”
“Let’s take it to the top of the hill,” you say, taking a closer look at the tray and nodding in approval. “This should be perfect, it’s very sturdy. The bottom’s slick, too.”
The pair of you march up the hill. The sounds of snow crunching underfoot, Din’s armor clanking, and your breathing are the only disruptions to the serene silence blanketing the planet. It’s as though the galaxy has narrowed down to a contented little bubble with just the three of you. All the worries of everyday life slip away, leaving you to feel the full strength of your love for the man by your side and the child in your arms.
At the top of the hill, Din hands you the tray, and you set it in the snow. “Do you want to come with?” you ask Din, trying not to sound too hopeful as you situate yourself and Grogu on the tray. Sure enough, Din shakes his head.
“Looks like there’s not much room,” he says. You don’t argue, although privately you think he could squeeze on. You’re about to start scooching the tray down the hill when Din adds, “But I’ll give you two a push.”
Din lends down behind you, placing his hands low on your back and gently, but firmly, propels you and the tray forward with a few running steps. The tray zips away from Din and down the hill. Grogu begins squealing in delight, raising his tiny hands into the air. You lean back, trying to balance yourself as the tray whooshes along, and you find yourself completely lost in the nippy wind, glistening snow, and the child’s glee.
The tray holds up much longer than you’d expected and doesn’t lose steam until you’ve made it nearly to the bottom of the hill. “How was that, buddy?” you ask Grogu, who gives you a toothy grin, his wide eyes sparkling. You laugh and press a kiss to the top of his head before standing up.
As you begin to trek up the hill, Grogu in one arm and the tray tucked under the other, Din heads down toward you. You wonder if he thought you only wanted to sled down once, and you call to him, “Grogu loved that! We’re headed back up!”
“I know,” he calls back. “I’m just coming to help with the tray.”
You beam at that, although you assure him you’re having no problems managing both Grogu and the tray. However, that doesn’t stop him. He meets you down the hill and affectionately rubs Grogu on the head. “How’d you like that, you little womp rat?”
Grogu gives him the same toothy grin he gave you, and you hear Din’s smile as he asks, “And how’d you like it?”
“It was fantastic!” you exclaim as he takes the tray from you. “I haven’t been sledding since I was a kid, back on my home planet. My friends and I spent many happy days playing in the snow together.” You shake your head slightly, as though to ward off the nostalgia playing at your heart. “It was almost magical, really, how all of our cares disappeared once the snow started falling.”
“That sounds… very special,” Din says. His pace is slowed to match yours, and when you glance at him, the bright day reveals the outline of his jaw behind his tinted visor. “I’m glad you had that experience.”
“Did you ever go sledding as a child?” you ask. You used to worry about asking Din personal questions. He has always been so reticent, and you respect that. Yet you never want to deny him the option to share, especially when you care so much about his experiences. Over time, you learned both that Din would never share anything he didn’t want to and, for some reason, he opened up to you more than you would have expected.
“A few times,” Din replies. “It didn’t snow enough on the planet where I was born to sled, but it did on the first planet where I lived with the Mandalorians.” Din falls silent, and you’re about to reply when he continues. “I was excited about the snow. It was new, and I enjoyed playing with the other children. This was before the Great Purge, so the Tribe was more relaxed about letting its children wander in the open.”
The idea of a young Din playing with other foundlings warms your heart, and you want to know more. “Did you get up to any mischief when you played with them?”
Din cocks his helmet at you. “What makes you ask that?” The corners of your lips quirk up at the obviously-feigned innocence of his tone.
“You know exactly what I’m talking about,” you say, pointing your finger at him. “I’m well acquainted with your understated, sassy quips, so I’m willing to bet you were a playful child.”
“That’s not a bad place to put your money.”
Once you get back to the top of the hill, Din tries to hand you the tray again, but you say, “If you’re just going to walk down after us, you might as well take the easy way down.”
Din hesitates, and you second-guess yourself, worried that you’ve made him uncomfortable. But Din surprises you when he shrugs and says, “We can give it a shot.” He lowers the sled and climbs onto it. He fits, but barely, his knees hiked way up as he adjusts his weapons. His visor doesn’t meet your gaze as he says, “You can - um, here, I’ll hold you in front of me, if that’s okay.”
You nod, your cheeks warm. You can’t tell if the butterflies in your stomach are fluttering from nerves or from joy. Probably a bit of both. You crouch beside him and, still carefully holding Grogu, clamber over one of Din’s legs. Din places a large, sturdy hand on your side for support as you sit between his bent knees.
“Hold on,” Din says, twisting around and pulling his cape over the front of his body. “The beskar’s pretty cold. This should help.”
“Thank you,” you say, your heart squeezing. You gingerly press yourself against the beskar, trying to make yourself as small as possible on the squished tray. Din passes Grogu to you and then adjusts his own position, wrapping a hand around your waist and pulling you closer to himself. It’s all you can do to resist the urge to completely melt into his embrace.
“Is that okay?” he asks, his helmet hovering just above your shoulder. You fail to fight off the shiver that runs down your spine, and hope that Din didn’t pick up on it, although you’re perfectly aware that he didn’t become the best bounty hunter in the galaxy for no reason.
“Yes.” Your voice is strained with the effort of concealing how the feeling of his broad chest snug against your back is making your heart dance wildly. Of course, that strain is revealing in itself, which only flusters you further. In an attempt to wave aside the implications of your bumbling behavior, you clear your throat and reach over one of Din’s thighs to push off in the snow, forcing yourself to cheer, “Let’s get this thing flying!”
You and Din paddle the tray along until it picks up momentum and glides down the hill. You whoop in excitement, readjusting your grip on Grogu as Din securely wraps his free arm around the both of you. The gesture nearly shocks you out of the moment, but Grogu’s uncontrollable giggling brings you back to your senses, prompting your own laughter - and Din’s. You’ve never heard him laugh before, and his modulated chuckles in your ear send your heart soaring faster than the speeding sled.
The ride comes to an abrupt halt as the sled hits a snag and jerks to the right. The three of you tumble off into a pile of tangled limbs, Din’s arm still locked around you and Grogu. His efforts aren’t enough to keep you from getting a faceful of snow, but this only causes you to laugh harder, even as your cheek numbs from the cold.
“Are you okay?” Din asks, effortlessly pulling you up with him as he gets to his feet.
“I’m fine,” you giggle. “I’m better than fine, actually. I think the same goes for Grogu.”
You managed to keep the kid out of the snow, and the ride’s rocky end only seems to have fueled his desire for another trip. Eager to indulge him, you bend down to retrieve the tray, scrubbing your face with your glove, although it’s already soaked and does nothing to dry your cheek. Din grasps your elbow, arresting your movement.
“Your face is going to freeze,” he says. “Would it be okay if I - uh - ” He grabs a handful of his cape, a part where the fabric is still dry. Caught off guard, you stammer some sort of affirmative, and Din steps close to you, dabbing the melted snowflakes from your cheek. You can feel the blood rushing to your face, the heat strong against your chilled skin, and you fear Din will notice. Yet, in a moment of boldness - in a moment of hope - you fix your gaze on Din’s visor as you savor his gentle touch guiding the rough material of his cape.
“There,” he says, dropping his hand - only for you to catch it.
“Thank you,” you say softly, giving his hand a squeeze. He wordlessly but earnestly returns the gesture, and your nerves dissolve.
His voice is uncharacteristically thick with emotion as he breathes, “Anything for you, cyar’ika.”
You haven’t heard the word before, although you assume it’s Mando’a. “What does that mean?”
“It means… I’ll always be here to care for you. If that’s what you want.”
Still clutching Din’s hand, you raise your own, untangling your fingers only to rest your glove against the metal cheek of his helmet. He places his hand over yours, completely covering it as your fingers stroke the beskar.
“There’s nothing I’d like more, Din.”
Grogu pats his father’s breastplate a few times, breaking the moment and causing the pair of you to look down at him. He chirps and looks at the top of the hill with longing.
“It looks like someone wants another ride,” you say fondly, rocking the child in your arm before looking at Din again. “What do you say?”
“Whatever you two want,” Din says, and, despite his earlier concerns about the cold beskar, he doesn’t seem to be able to help himself from leaning his forehead against yours in a feather-light touch. “I can’t resist either of you.”

A Mandalorian and A Jedi - Chapter 4
Warnings: Someone(s) get minorly injured, childhood trauma talk. Nothing horrendous.
A/N: Here I am, back on my bs.... with some maybe uncharacteristic character exposition, but oh well. (Gif not mine, oh yea yea yeah....) ||| writing masterlist |||
Lissa sat at the edge of the ship’s floor, where it joined the ramp which was currently down, it’s far edge digging into the soil and grass.
She sat with her legs out before her, crossed at the ankle, with the child in her lap. He sat back comfortably against her midsection, staring up and occasionally raising a little clawed hand to try and catch one of the flies that would buzz up to and around them.
It was near dusk on the sixth day since Mando had gone. The current bounty was a former bounty of Lissa’s. The zabrak Maldo Gries had broken free from the New Republic prison she had helped lock him into before, and she wasn’t overly surprised when Mando showed her his puck.
“He’s a crack shot. Has a thing for knives, and throwing them.” She’d smirked. “This should be a fun challenge; I’m sure he hates my guts.”
“Maybe you should sit this one out,” Mando avoided glancing in her direction, as he walked past her, toward his armory.
“What do you mean?”
She had been his silent shadow for...four, maybe five months now. Gathering information on quarries; trailing him when either of them thought it possible that a quarry was aware Mando was hot on their trail; hiding out in some secreted place, a refile trained on a quarry, just in case something went wrong.
Greef was impressed at how Mando’s capture times had improved notably, but Din gave him no hint of how or why that was. “Bout of luck, I guess.”
As far as most of the galaxy knew, Lissa Ardross was dead or as good as dead. To somewhat disguise her appearance, Din offered to take her to a hairdresser not long after accepting the position as his right-hand woman. She took him up on it, and had her hair bleached and cut into something not entirely to her liking--more shoulder length, with short, curled bangs across her forehead,--but it was unfamiliar enough that it did the job. With some of her first earnings, she bought a few more garments--pale-colored tunics and nondescript gray trousers--that were a lot more subdued than the black and occasional deep blues or purples she normally wore.
Discretion had been key to their success so far; perhaps he had a point.
Still, she felt a bit...pointless, not actually helping with a bounty. Not doing the very thing she had been hired to do.
Lissa had found other ways to help the Mandalorian and earn her keep. She had gleaned enough from trying to keep her own little freighter afloat to help repair parts of the Razor Crest; with some of her other earnings, she had bought books on ship maintenance, so she could learn how to help with the rest.
She had even tried to help with smaller things: keeping the ship tidy and cleaning up little messes, here and there; trying to put her long-dormant cooking skills to use to make them some actual meals; even offering to pilot the ship for a few hours so Mando could get some rest, though it took him a while to take her up on that last offer. She argued to him that she needed to develop all these other skills, so she could more easily pick up some other profession when she finally left, and he had to admit the sense in that.
“Okay. But...if you need help, you’ll comm me, right?”
The helmet finally turned to face her, as he was packing away a few last explosive charges and extra ammunition packs. He didn’t say anything for a beat. “I think I’ll be fine; just might take a bit longer without you, that’s all.”
“Still.”
The Razor Crest had felt especially cramped the first weeks she was there. Obviously, because Din Djarin was a man long used to being on his own who now not only had a child to tend to, but also a woman sharing his space. Each did their best to keep to themselves, to not infringe on boundaries, physical and otherwise, but there was always a modicum of tension present.
“Ow, fuck!” Lissa hissed once, after stubbing her toe on a storage crate in the near-dark of the Crest’s hull one night. Djarin just had to live in the shadows...made it easier if he stumbled from his sleep randomly to go use the privy or tend to any unusual noise but he forgot to don his helmet.
“You okay?” she heard emanate from the sleeping compartment, unmodulated, as she tried to rub the pain from her appendage.
An aggravated sigh. “I’m fine Mando. Go back to bed.”
On the one hand, Lissa felt at a disadvantage. Besides being in such an unfamiliar space that she could never fully utilize, she felt like she had no room to complain or comment on anything. She was grateful he had come to get her, had literally saved her life. That he subsequently gave her a safe place to recuperate--physically and financially--when he probably should have kicked her out the door as soon as possible.
She was acutely aware how much she didn’t fit into his life. Anytime he would care for the child, or just go about his business on his ship, and wouldn’t say anything to her, include her or really acknowledge her presence. She picked up early that he was a still waters run deep type, but she felt she had no right to try and dip into those waters.
For Din’s part, he still felt great guilt. She hadn’t said anything about them, even when tortured. He wondered if the Empire remnant even knew for sure that his little clan had been on Mygeeto; no sign came after to indicate they had been. Nothing relayed via the back channels hinted that they had connected the dots.
Lissa’s physical wounds had healed, but he wondered about the mental ones. He wondered why she hadn’t just turned them over when she had the perfect opportunity, but he didn’t ask. The look on her face when he was comforting Grogu in that bar still sort of bothered him at times, especially when he would see flashes of a similar expression any time he would tend to the child and she was near.
Despite all this, they had grown to admire each other through their work. Lissa, for her cunning and resourcefulness. Din, for his calm under pressure and stamina. They made a good team.
“I will,” he’d promised.
So far, her comm had been silent.
The baby cooed in her lap. His ears perked up, and he rose from his sitting position as he scoched from sitting back against her to trying to stand; she had to wrap her arms around him to keep the little green creature from hopping off her lap. “Hey now, little guy, what’s up?” Lissa couldn’t tell at first what had suddenly piqued his interest, until she realized she could hear the distant croaking of a frog, probably from the nearby bog. She ignored the flash of disappointment she felt realizing it wasn’t something else.
“You like those things, huh?” Grogu smiled up at her with his big, brown eyes. She started to gently stroke his downy, wrinkly forehead. “I wonder how good a hunter you’d be, if you were let loose out there. How long you think it would take you to catch one, or...all the frogs!” She started to tickle his sides, which earned a few peels of laughter.
The child, despite being what sounded to her initially like some sort of errand or chore for the Mandalorian, was incredibly important to him, she observed quickly. He explained further one night in clipped words that his creed deemed them like father and son, until he reunited the youngling with his own kind. It was his job to protect him, and he indeed watched over him like a hawk. But it was...more than that. She was all too familiar with what guardianship without love looked like, and this was not that.
Grogu was the last thing he trusted her with. He would sleep with the child in a tiny, makeshift hammock above his cot, have the pram near when he was piloting the ship or even when he was in the fresher or just eating. He would check constantly that the little one was still in his pram or in the sack he had slung over his shoulder. The child would often look at her intently and curiously, even reached out to her a few times, but if Mando would notice, he would quickly snatch the child up into his arms or close the pram.
It wouldn’t be until they were visiting a market on the forest planet of Dakua. Some commotion, probably staged, ahead of them caused the Mandalorian to be distracted, but he did know straightaway when she slipped the blaster from his holster. He was whip quick, his hand almost at once gripping her shoulder, but he turned to see that she had his blaster pointed at someone behind them--a smaller trandoshan who was frozen in place.
“They were trying to steal it from you,” she explained, no hint of waver in her voice. Mando moved quickly again, to reposition and cover the sack the child was sitting in, as he turned around full.
“Should I shoot them anyway? Just as a lesson?” The trandoshan’s eyes grew big at that.
Din said nothing at first, then there was a tell-tale tilt of the helmet. “Maybe just a nice foot wound.”
The trandoshan quickly ran off.
Later that night, they sat in companionable enough silence on the floor of the hull of the Crest--Lissa reading from one of her books, Din cleaning his rifle. The child wouldn’t stop making noises from his pram, so Din reached over, scooped him up and placed him gently on the floor. “C’mon, little one. Get some exercise.”
But instead of running around the floor of the hull aimlessly, as younglings including this one were wont to do, Grogu walked up to Lissa and quickly wrapped his small arms around her arm, and he uttered a long coo of appreciation as he looked up at her.
Damn, if her heart didn’t melt into a puddle right there.
For Din, staring at this, one final gear clicked into place in his mind.
“You can pick him up, if you want.”
From then on, it was a growing mutual love between another bounty hunter and the small, precocious green child.
The crackle of the comm shook Lissa from her memories. “I’ve got him. I’m about 500 meters away.” The comm cut out before she could respond, but she understood. Lissa quickly scooped up Grogu and made for the Crest’s cockpit, where she shut the doors and waited patiently for Mando’s arrival.
Indeed, several minutes later she heard Gries’ yells and curses, faint at first through the steel of the ship, then louder and louder, before she heard the clanking, clunking and thudding as she assumed Mando was hauling the zabrak into the hull of the ship and into one of the carbonite slots, before she heard the familiar whoosh and then whir of the mobile freezing unit.
A beat, before Lissa placed Grogu into his pram and opened the doors of the cockpit.
Mando was standing there, slinging his amban rifle back into place.
“You okay?”
Lissa cocked her head. “Shouldn’t I be asking you that?” Her eyes wandered over to the carbonite slabs, to the familiar features frozen into rocky relief into the latest one. “That’s definitely Gries. Horny bastard.” She gave a small kick to the slab her former quarry now sat in.
“I--” Lissa turned back to Mando, who she noticed had a spot of blood on his side. “Oh, you’re bleeding.” She reached up a tentative hand to the tear in the mesh battle suit he wore beneath the beskar, right around his ribs. She opened it just enough to see a nice gash and some possible bruising, before he waived her hand away.
“I’m fine.”
She gave him a doubting look, before giving a slight smack to his side.
“Ow, hey!”
Lissa rolled her eyes, before she retrieved the ship’s first aid kit. “Into the cockpit, tin can.”
Din sighed. “Fine.”
He sat in the pilot’s chair and swiveled around to face Lissa, sitting in the passenger seat to the right. She rummaged through the kit for alcohol and some cloth to clean away the blood. She had no face to read, but she could hear little noises of pain and discomfort through the helmet.
“I know we don’t have too much left, but if you’re in enough pain maybe I should apply a bacta patch or--”
“I’m fine. Need to save it in case you or the child....” He fell quiet.
Lissa didn’t say anything, just continued to tend to the wound, as she cleared away the last of the blood and started rummaging around for wound dressings.
It was not lost on her, even as she worked and even through the helmet, that she was being watched.
After a few moments of silence: “Where are you from? Your home world, I mean.”
Her eyes flitted up the helmet briefly. He thought she might not answer for a second, before a grimace came over her face. “Coruscant.”
That genuinely surprised him at the same time it didn’t. “Upper or lower levels?” he inquired further, already suspecting the answer.
Lissa didn’t say anything for a moment, before: “I don’t think I ever truly saw the sun until I was nine years old.”
Din nodded, understood. For some reason, he felt the need to press further: “What happened to your parents?”
“Killed, when I was seven. An orphanage took me in, along with a lot of other strays who wandered the nearby endless streets.”
“Do you remember anything about them? Your parents?”
She finished up his wound dressings, and started to pack everything away in the medikit. She gave a small shrug. “Some things, here and there, but...not much. I’m not even entirely sure which of them I take after, if I do at all.
“They were shop keepers,” Lissa added, unprompted. “Had this little pawn shop. One of a million on Corucsant, but I do remember thinking they had this knack for finding the most random things, salvaging lost items from wherever and fixing them up into something beautiful.” She looked away. “They were shot by someone trying to rob the store.” She shut the medikit and stood up.
“I can sew up that tear, whenever you feel like peeling the suit off and taking a shower.”
“What were their names?” he asked, before she could step away.
She studied the black visor for a moment, noticing that even the overhead light in the cockpit failed to reveal the eyes behind it. “Rick Ardross and Amila Daraay.”
Din nodded.
Lissa crossed her shoulders. “What about you, Mandalorian? Your parents?” She had studied up enough about him to know to know he wasn’t born a Mandalorian or belonged to any notable clans. He was a loner, and--she suspected--had an upbringing not far from her own.
He--seemingly--stared back up at her for a long time before answering. “Denon and Paila, of Aq Vetina. They were farmers, I think. At least...I have faint memories of my father, tilling fields and tending to animals. My mother at a loom....” He looked over at the child. “I can see their faces, every time I close my eyes, every time I remember how they hid me away in some storage bunker, right before they...before they were killed, before a Separatist droid found me, almost.... Before I was rescued by a Mandalorian, Kol Djarin.” Din fell quiet. Lissa didn’t ask for more; this was probably way more than he had ever given anyone else.
She wasn’t sure. Didn’t really know if it would be appropriate, but in that moment, it felt more inappropriate not to do something.
Lissa lifted her right hand rested it on Din’s right shoulder and gave the lightest squeeze. He looked down at her arm, but said nothing. Didn’t move her away.
“I’ll go get us some dinner started.”

Concept art by Ryan Church, depicting the Mandalorian fighting numerous large spiders, while the Razor Crest rested on its side. Image from The Mandalorian, Season 2, Episode 2, The Passenger. Calendar from DateWorks.
Grogu was furious! Despite everything that had happened earlier in the week, here he was preparing to write about spiders. Not just any spiders, mind you. No. Those @#$%& ice spiders from Maldo Kreis. Yes. Those spiders. And why, pray tell? Because that was the prompt that came up on his ‘A Solid Beskar Writing Prompt A Day’ program that his dad had subscribed him to when he was re-writing all of Jon’s scripts.
Jon had appreciated the Mandalorians quick thinking and Grogu had appreciated the challenge. Jon had said he’d never heard of that program and Grogu had promised his dad that he’d be nice, so he didn’t just blurt out that that was hard to believe. He just smiled and pushed a piece of paper toward Jon so he could read Grogu’s first story.
It was a pretty great story, as Grogu recalled. It was called “Returning the Darksaber, A Mandalorian Story”. It was set in Tarre Vizsla’s time and explained how the Jedi got the saber back from the Mandalorians after the Mand’alor’s death. Din Djarin had raised an eyebrow at it and Bo-Katan had refused to read it. She didn’t like thinking that the saber she had gone to all that trouble to get or for Sabine to get, was in fact a fake. But that didn’t matter. That detail wasn’t in that story anyway.
Grogu had no idea if Jon ever read that story. It didn’t really matter. His contract with the studio didn’t give him any writing or producing credits so he just wrote stuff for his fans. That’s right. He has fans. People who read the stories and send him notes and ask questions and correct errors. There are always errors. And that was why of all things he wanted to prompted to write about, the Giant Ice Spider of Maldo Kreis was not one of them.
He had just written a thrilling tale of their adventures on Maldo Kreis with the intrepid Frog Lady, Niebla and how the New Republic Rangers came to their aid (as they should) and how Grogu could tell anyone definitely that ice spiders were not good eats. Ever. Really.
Which was why he didn’t want to write more about them. He didn’t want to think about them. He didn’t want to look up tiny details from the Galactic Encyclopedia about them. He didn’t want to draw sketches of them. He absolutely didn’t want to mention them to his dad. Din Djarin started cursing every time they were mentioned. That gigantic spider than landed on top of the Razor Crest had done near fatal damage to the Mandalorian’s ship, which was really his home.
For other people it would be like talking about that time your uncle, who refused to use a standard fire starter for cooking krayt dragon steaks actually used a cup of starship fuel that he just threw onto the steaks and then made a spark and watched the whole thing go up like a Boonta Eve firework display. It looked pretty for a split second, but your Boonta Eve feast was forever ruined by the flavor of starship fuel. Yech.
So, here he was, staring at his comp and he just didn’t want to write word one or two about those wretched critters. He would have skipped to the next day’s prompt, but he knew that it was the same. You were just supposed to write on the same subject but from a different perspective. He usually wrote them pretending to be his dad. It was easier than pretending to be Peli or Fennec. Peli would talk too much and Fennec would disappear without finishing the answer to his question. His dad was very patient about it and Grogu really loved that about Din Djarin.
What he didn’t always love about his dad was the editorializing that he did. Grogu had asked him to spell check and make sure that the grammar was okay. Simple enough, right? Wrong! As he read each story the Mandalorian would shake his head and mutter, ‘that’s not how that happened’ and then correct something trivial like adding a comma or taking one away. Grogu loved his commas and used them as he saw fit, but he let his dad have his way because that kept him from bringing up bigger issues.
Issues like, just because Grogu knew more about the Force than Luke and had spent longer with the Jedi than Luke, didn’t mean than Grogu was Luke’s Master when he spent the summer at sleep away camp on Ossus. Luke was an adult had been trained by two very special Jedi and the Mandalorian thought that should count for more. Grogu thought that his dad was still sore about Bo-Katan and her friends complaining about the Children of the Watch being a cult. He wasn’t less of a Mandalorian because of that, he was just different. And Grogu supposed that was the point. Luke wasn’t less of a Jedi than Grogu, he was just different. Given how everything had turned out for the Jedi, different was okay. Not great. Okay.
But none of that was helping him right now. He was staring at a writing prompt that said ‘Write a story about the dangers and fears associated with fighting Giant Ice Spiders”. A bit specific, right? And… he’d already done it. More than once.
Maybe you could help him? What sort of story would you like Grogu to tell? Something scary? Something mushy and romantic? High adventure? Dark noir? Superheroes? Other than Din Djarin of course. Or, just something you like the idea of being told? Grogu was happy to substitute any prompt for the prompt about those @#$%& spiders. This is the Way. He promises. The Force is with you.

You hated snow. It always managed to make you grumpy and never failed to make your hands freeze and your clothes wet. How Poe Dameron convinced you to go sledding you will never know.
The two of you were currently on Maldo Kreis. General Organa had sent you there to receive a very important package for her, but you had arrived early. Poe, being Poe, had gotten bored and had found a piece of sheet metal in your ship. Bundling up, he walked outside and slid down the hill you had landed beside, repeating the action multiple times before trying to get you to join him.
“Come on, [y/n]. It’s fun!” He said.
“No. It’s cold and wet and I’d rather stay inside my heated ship, please and thank you.” You shook your head, eyeing the outside with clear distaste.
“Please? We have almost a full day before the package even gets here. I know you’re bored in there.” He was giving you some doe eyes and you groaned. You never could resist that.
“Fine. But only for a little bit,” you said, shaking your finger in his face. Poe gave a whoop and grabbed your hand, pulling you towards him. He gave you a sweet kiss and you felt yourself melting in his arms.
“Alright, let’s do this!”
Poe led you over to the make-shift sled and you gingerly sat down on it. He gave you a light push and you let out a shriek as you slid down the hill. When you got to the bottom you laughed softly before trudging back up the hill.
“See? Fun!”
For the next couple hours, you found yourself having the most fun you’ve had in a while. It took your mind off of everything that was happening in the galaxy. For a short while there was no First Order or Rebellion. It was only you and Poe, and you were dreading having to go back to the real world.
Without any warning to Poe, you pulled him into a kiss. He wasn’t going to complain, he felt the same way.
“I love you,” you murmured onto his lips. Poe’s thumb brushed your cheek and he pecked your lips softly.
“I love you too.”

Length: 2881 Words TW: Will Make Grem Mad At Me (None) Brief: After Leuken and Miykie get Magnus and Romune in contact with each other, the two finally meet. This is them meeting for the first time in forever. Credits: Leuken is @/the-lime-gangs Here’s the song I listened to while writing this!
Here’s the Google Docs link for easier viewing!
Deja Vu. A feeling of having already experienced a setting or situation. That was the best way Magnus could describe the feeling of leaving the ship that day. Everything seemed so familiar. The weather outside was just as nice, as still, as it had been the last time he saw Romune. There was no letter this time. And there was no Maldov- he was dead. How the times change.
Magnus waited by the ship, standing off to the side. He glanced at his palmhusk every three seconds, as if waiting for a text message that just never arrived. A slightly shorter rustblood eventually materialized from the bustling crowd of Fleet employees. Leuken had Maldo- Miykie, his name is Miykie now. Leuken had Miykie tailing behind him. Miykie was wearing Leuken’s Fleet jacket and scarf to prevent anyone from recognizing him.
“You’re late.” Magnus’ tone was flat. If he was worried, he showed no sign of it. His expression was stony and collected.
“There’s a lotta trolls runnin’ around, Magpie. But we’re here.” Leuken’s use of the familial nickname was obviously intended to make Magnus feel better about the situation at hand. The purple didn’t say another word, instead handing Leuken a set of keys. He locked eyes with Miykie and gave a nod before heading out. He was still in his Fleet uniform. It was a good thing though, there was a slight breeze. The perfect autumn weather.
Magnus arranged for an Uber to take him to Romune’s hive. It was the same hive he had been in the night Romune disappeared. Why hadn’t he ever thought to return? Was it really that easy this whole time? The entire trip to the hive, Magnus couldn’t stop shaking his leg. The driver made a comment but was cut short by Magnus’ glare. Why was he so angry about all of this? He felt….betrayed. Romune had been alive this whole time and never once made an effort to reach out to him. Hell, the blueblood even had his letter. He was confused, upset, and not entirely convinced that Romune was still alive.
He looked up at Romune’s hive. It was the same as he had left it. Except, there were some new plants out front. He thought that was interesting. He thought this whole thing was interesting. As he stood in silence, he wondered if this all was an elaborate prank. He’d knock and behind the door would be someone else entirely. Not his Romune.
Time seemed to slow down as he walked up to the door. He remembered the night Romune left clearly. The blueblood hadn’t answered the door, he just unlocked it. But then he had looked so surprised to see Magnus- was he expecting someone else instead? Had there been something Romune never told him? These thoughts and more swirled around as he knocked.
Behind the door, he heard growling. The seconds ticked by slowly, and all he heard was growling. Magnus gave up hope ten seconds in, and was about to turn and leave when the door lock shifted. He tentatively reached for the doorknob. It opened before he could.
---
A time. That was all Romune had been given.
The rusts he met only days prior had apparently given the mysterious Magnus his contact. Romune wasn’t sure what he had been expecting- small talk, perhaps? Some sort of communication beforehand? A warning? Explanation? But all he got was a time.
2:30pm.
What an oddly specific time.
Romune was conflicted about the whole ordeal at hand. He didn’t know if he should clean his hive, or if this Magnus would even enter. But Romune knew his lusus well enough to know she would get fussy if there was clutter with a guest over. The old Hyena seemed to know something was up. She usually rested on her bed in Romune’s block, but she chose to follow the blueblood as he tidied up. She even helped a bit, using her large muzzle to nudge some picture frames in order. By the time Romune finished cleaning, it was only noon.
The waiting would be the hardest part. He knew that well. Magnus held the key to everything about Romune’s past life, to everything he couldn’t remember about himself. As the blueblood warmed the kettle on the stove, he thought back to the only memory he held of Magnus. The not blue but not purple eyes, his messy hair, scruffy face. Rom gently traced his fingers over his metal jaw and felt a familiar sense of sadness rise up. The screaming of the kettle was able to shake away that sadness. He finished preparing a cup of tea while his lusus watched, and she followed him into his block.
Magnus’ shirt was folded up neatly on the end table. Romune paused as he passed, looking down at the shirt. The symbol on it. A childish feeling of excitement started to bubble in his chest. He would get to meet the man behind the shirt, and hopefully, it would go well. He set his mug down on the vanity so he could select a shirt for the occasion. For a moment, he had considered going without, but that just seemed wrong. He settled on a sleeveless hoodie, but not cropped. It was a little cold for cropped shirts right now.
Afterwards, he took his tea to the living block and sat on the couch. His lusus laid on the ground in front of him. Eventually, she drifted off. Romune found himself entertained by her sleepy yips. He wondered what hyenas dream about, if anything at all. It wasn’t long before he heard a knock on the door. His lusus woke up with a slight start and lifted her head to look at the door. She was the first one up, immediately going to the door. Romune had to nudge her out of the way with his hip so he could open it.
Behind the door was a man. At first, Romune didn’t recognize him. It took a moment for it to register. What got him were his horns…curved with spikes. It slowly fell into place from there. The square jaw, slightly unkempt hair pulled back in a bun, scruffy face. How did the Fleet allow him to be so messy? The blueblood blinked as a thick silence floated around them.
“Magnus?” Romune’s voice was small. He didn’t know his voice could be so small.
Magnus looked at Romune with a stone-cold expression. He took in the entire sight of him. Every metal limb, the way his hair was pulled in a bun rather than a ponytail, the sleeveless shirt, the way his hand held the mug. That wasn’t his Romune. This troll who stood in front of him looked like his Romune, sure. But everything from his expression, his outfit, his voice, to the mug in his hand; it was all different. This wasn’t his Romune.
It took him a moment to realize the growling had stopped. He looked down at Romune’s lusus and had to really fight the smile that threatened to form. Magnus knelt down, leaning on his knee and holding out his hand for the hyena to sniff. Romune stepped aside so HyenaMom could get closer. The first thing he noticed was her tail wagging. She very rarely wagged her tail. Even if Magnus didn’t confirm his identity, HyenaMom did.
Romune turned and headed inside his hive. A high pitched whistle snapped HyenaMom out of her greetings, and she padded towards the couch. Magnus stood up and entered the hive slowly, closing the door behind him. Everything was just as he had left it, ages ago. Nothing was out of place. While that wasn’t his Romune standing by the couch, this was his Romune’s hive. HyenaMom sat down in front of the couch. Her tail was still wagging, making a loud thump thump thump as it moved side to side.
“Can we go outside?” Romune asked softly, setting his mug down on the end table. “It’s too cold for her outside. We can talk in private. You can see the ships leaving and coming in, the lights are really pretty.” He forced himself to smile. Smiling took a lot of work, it wasn’t something he committed to doing often. But Magnus seemed like he needed a smile.
“Sure.” Magnus did not return the smile.
Romune waited for an extra few seconds, hoping Magnus would say something else. Anything else. But when he was met with silence, he just nodded and headed for the back door. His lusus jumped up on the couch and laid down when Magnus followed him.
Romune closed the door behind Magnus. The back of his hive consisted of a small backyard with a crumbling stone wall. Some spots in the wall were more sturdy than others. A few feet beyond the wall was a drop into a small river. Romune made his way to one of the more secure spots on the wall, and took a seat. Magnus slowly followed and sat a short distance away from him. The silence was still thick, but not as awkward.
Romune was the first to notice their hands were close together. He wasn’t certain what made him decide to move his hand closer, and closer. He gently rested his metal fingers on top of Magnus’ very real hand. Something sparked in Romune’s chest as he did so. Something warm. It was very similar to the sense of longing he had felt when he first opened the gift.
When Magnus realized their hands were touching, he moved his hand away and crossed his arms over his chest. And just like that, the warm sense of yearning was gone. Romune folded his hands in his lap, looking down at them. The metal had never bothered him before. But now it felt wrong, out of place. He wondered briefly what Magnus was thinking.
“....Penny for your thoughts?” Romune turned his gaze back to Magnus, only to find the purpleblood had been looking at him. Or, he was looking at his hands. Romune gently toyed with the ring finger on his prosthetic as he waited for an answer. One of the joints was a little loose and would wiggle. Romune never bothered to fix it because it made weird moments like this more bearable. Magnus was silent for a moment, as if he was gathering the right things to say. The silence didn’t feel uncomfortable, just uneasy.
“Does it still hurt?” The voice that had been so deadpan and flat prior actually had a tender worry to it now. Magnus lifted his eyes from Romune’s metal hand to his blue eyes.
His Romune’s eyes.
Despite all his time spent in space and all his time believing Romune had been dead, Magnus had never felt further from him than in this instance.
“Sometimes.” Romune hummed, holding his robotic hand up towards the sky to see it better, “They’re called phantom pains. It’s a psychological phenomenon where you feel pain in limbs that are no longer there. It’s different for each troll- I’ve dealt with a lot of different phantom pains. Mine specifically feels like burning….but some trolls say it feels like a dull ache. One troll told me his felt like ice. It’s a little funny when you think about it. Feeling pain in a limb that isn’t there. Occasionally I’ll stub my foot on something and feel pain for a few seconds before remembering the foot is fake.” Romune lowered his hand back into his lap, not realizing he had rambled on.
Magnus couldn’t fight the small smile that formed as Romune rambled on. The way Romune spoke was so familiar. It reminded him of the time he laid in bed with him while the blueblood spoke all about the book he had been reading. Even if Magnus wasn’t paying attention, the cadence in Romune’s voice had given him a sense of home. This was a similar sort of feeling. Magnus gently took a hold of Romune’s robotic hand, tracing over the seam of metal on the palm.
“Did you design them yourself? You used to be the lead engineer on the docks...you told me a few times that you wanted to retire and build limbs. You wanted to help trolls, rather than fix the things that hurt them.” Magnus swiped his thumb over the ball of Romune’s palm, noting how cold the metal felt.
“I didn’t. I don’t remember much from the incident.” Romune curled his fingers in around Magnus’ thumb. Magnus hesitated before tangling their fingers together. Even though the limb was metal and cold, it still felt like his Romune’s hand.
“What do you remember?” Magnus still didn’t meet his eyes, looking down at their hands. Romune tapped on his metal jaw with his free hand to help him think. The soft tapping finally made Magnus look up.
“I remember waking up in a lot of pain. Everyone says you don’t remember pain….but I remember it pretty clearly. I was in the hospital, and I was already….repaired, I guess would be the term. I was pretty out of it for most of the recovery process. Eventually I was weaned off the pain medications and could think….somewhat clearly again. Then came the process of learning how to walk and move again. And now I’m here.” He forced another smile. Two smiles in one night, that was something special.
Magnus chuckled a bit, “You don’t look comfortable doing that. Smilin’.”
“It’s difficult to do when your bottom lip is made of metal and silicone.” Romune chuckled softly to himself, closing his eyes for a moment. His laughter was interrupted when Magnus cupped his cheek with his free hand. Startled, Romune opened his eyes again.
Magnus looked...sad. His thumb traced over the seam of metal and flesh on Romune’s cheek with a somber expression. It was a tender act that shook Romune to his very core. There was a softness behind the sadness in Magnus’ eyes. Something in Magnus’ smile, and something in the tenderness in his gaze, left Romune speechless.
The wide blue eyes that stared back at Magnus solidified his feelings. This was his Romune. This was the same blueblood who rambled about ancient literature and fixed Fleet ships, who wanted to help trolls rather than build the things that hurt them. Only, he got hurt by those very things. The ships he worked so diligently on ended up causing all this damage. And then what? He suffered in a hospital, alone, without Magnus.
For all the times he had been back on the planet, Magnus never once decided to stop by his hive. Never to check on HyenaMom, never to see if Romune came back. Magnus could hear his own lusus calling him despicable. That old mongoose had been right.
“Romune Iscatu.” Magnus finally broke the silence. “I’m so sorry. I’m sorry I just gave up hope on you, and left you alone all this time. I’m sorry I knew where you lived and never came back. I’m sorry I wasn’t the quadmate you needed.” His voice cracked, and for the first time in sweeps, he felt like he may crack too.
Romune was silent. He moved his hand to rest on top of Magnus’, and leaned his face in closer to the other’s palm. He closed his eyes and relished in the feeling of physical contact.
“It’s okay. I for-”
“It’s not okay. You shouldn’t forgive me. I should- I should go.” Magnus pulled his hand away and stood up suddenly. He was stopped by Romune grabbing the corner of his Fleet uniform. Magnus didn’t look down at Romune, but waited to hear what he had to say.
“Stay the day, please. You can leave tomorrow. But for today...can you be the quadmate I needed? That I need?” Romune’s voice was barely heard over the river rushing below them. Magnus finally looked down at the blueblood, his Romune. He was silent as the blueblood’s request was processed.
After what felt like an eternity of silence, Magnus removed Romune’s hand off his uniform. He held the other’s hand in his own for a few seconds. Those few seconds gave Romune hope that Magnus would stay. Just as the blueblood was starting to stand up, Magnus let his hand go. Romune, frozen where he sat, blinked in surprise as Magnus stepped back.
“I can’t, Moon. I’m sorry. I have to go.”
Magnus didn’t wait for a response. Romune stood up and watched as Magnus went back inside his hive. He could hear his lusus yip in excitement from seeing Magnus again, and then the front door slammed loud enough to be heard from where Romune stood. The warmth in his chest was replaced with a hollow feeling. He looked down at his robotic hand for a moment, wondering what he had done wrong.
Romune turned back to the river that ran behind his hive and through the city. He watched the water rush peacefully below him. The moons and stars reflected beautifully on the rippling water. If the moons and the stars could be so unaffected by the chaos that had so suddenly entered and left his life, then he could be too.

INU KPOP AU
Introducing SIM Entertainment Agency!
(Yes it stands for Sess Inu Miroku I never said I was creative ok)
No fic to go with this for now cause I’m a busy bee but this is what I envision as SIM releasing first to the Korean market (after the Pop/Stars girl group record, but before releasing all the girls’ Korean solos to introduce them to the public).
No this is not just an excuse for me to use Korean songs without Japanese translations what are you talking about
To showcase what this Japanese-led company can offer the saturated KPop market, Sesshomaru told Miroku to get working on a good beat, so Miroku did, even as he was working eighteen hour days recording the girls’ Korean solo debuts.
Originally the song was going to be just Sesshomaru and Inuyasha, a sort of bombastic sign that the Taisho brothers were back and better than ever. But after Miroku submitted his cut of Sango’s solo track, he got a very odd phone call telling him HEY GUESS WHAT YOU JUST SHOT YOURSELF IN THE FOOT AND INSERTED YOURSELF BACK IN THE RAP GAME BITCH SO YOU BEST WRITE YOURSELF A FEW VERSES.
Poor Miroku. He was happy in obscurity. He will no doubt blame Sango for all of this, but hey, it’s another opportunity to impress her, right? ;)
KEY: Sesshomaru, Miroku, Inuyasha, all together

DBH MarkusXArtist!Reader
I’ve was writing today and suddenly became full of inspiration... Enjoy! I’m sure this has been done before in some form or matter, but this is my little spin on it ^^
-S/o is Carl’s niece who has come to stay with them to study under Carl. His happy to help in anyway and enjoys the company of some family.
-S/o took some time to warming up to Markus. Once they were able to talk to each other a wonderful friendship bloomed.
-S/o likes to doodle pictures of Markus whenever he isn’t looking and keeps them stashed away in a safe place where he won’t find them.
-Carl enjoys seeing the two interact. In the back of his mind he wondered if something more could become of them. Though he also has his worries about what society will think. He can only wish for them to find happiness.
-During the beginning of the game. While Carl is working on one of his massive painting. S/o had secluded herself, working on another drawing of Markus.
-She didn’t notice him wondering around the studio. He had made his way over to her and peered over her shoulder. He was amazed to see her draw him in such a way. He wasn’t sure how he was suppose to describe what he was feeling in his chest.
-”Is that me?”
S/o jumped nearly about five feet in the air when she heard him speak. Though immediately afterward she became shy and embarrassed. She hadn’t meant for Markus to find out about her little secret this way. “Yes, its you... I wanted to draw a man and wasn’t having inspiration... So i drew you. I hope that’s okay.”
Markus smiled. “You’ve improved. Would you like me to stand still while you draw?”
-Markus now either freezes or poses now when he sees S/o doodling him from across a room or close by.
-Time goes on and S/o and Markus build a beautiful friendship.
-Then everything with Leo happens.
-S/o is crushed Markus is gone from the household. Her drawings stop coming and she traps herself in her room. Carl often comes to check up on her but can’t get her to come out. Even with a new android to keep her company. It wasn’t Markus.
-The news is the first thing to inform her about Markus. Shes so distraught she can hardly believe it.
-S/o gathers up all her belongings and head to find Jericho. She finds it by only some miracle.
-Markus can hardly believe his eyes when she first stumbles into the ship. Half bruised.
-Markus embraces S/o lovingly. Holding her for a long time. He then takes her a place they can catch up and talk about some things.
-S/o shows Markus all the drawings shes ever done of him. Browsing through them Markus is so filled with a new found emotions he can’t help but give S/o a long kiss.
-The androids don’t trust her at first. But she becomes a worthy ally the longer she stays on the ship.
-S/o assist where she can on helping the androids find their freedom. She often protects Markus when he has a barrel pointed in his direction.
-S/o stays with Markus in Detroit when the androids take it over. They live a happy life together. For as long as they can share it together <3
Request: Open
