We don't practice much origami anymore, but when we did we used various diagrams we got from searching google images. Occationally you'll find good stuff on youtube, but it'll require persistance in searching since the algorithm will just end up showing you random videos unrelated instead of the good ones
From a reddit post, the best sites are:
-
-
-
-
-
-

-
Hope this helps /gen
Because I LOVE to fold origami, I thought about the fact that maybe making origami owls, birds or just winged animals would be a great way to get species euphoria! But I can't find any good origami websites?? Because my origami books don't contain too many birds :(( I hate it.
So, um, do you all have some nice recommendations of origami websites/blogs?? I'd prefer one with photos/images and instructions because I can't focus enough on videos.

Hiya, pumpkin!
24, 28, and 30 if you’d be so kind. 💜
hello Holli ^-^!!! (also, you just landed on my nickname!? it's admittedly one of very many but damn)
24. what’s one thing you’re proud of yourself for?
god I've struggled once already! okok hmm I am proud of finally getting the brakes on my bike checked. oh also! once I walked a marathon in a day. my knees hated me for that but it was actually a lot of fun.
28. do you collect anything?
I do!! sort of! I've kept pressed leaves and flowers in books since I was a kid, I inherited this from mum when she showed me hers. somewhere back at home there's a book (of poetry?) with cherry blossoms older than me. also scrap paper, so much scrap paper. discarded lecture notes and recently receipts and bus tickets ppl leave behind. to what purpose you ask?? you see the plan is to make them into modular origami/kusudama, it's so so calming and honestly you get to make such cool-looking little things while passing time. though I've noticed recently writing these titbits on tumblr has been taking up that time *facepalm*
(from this ask game)

I...need help.
But hey, at least my coping skills are productive.
Updated Patterns:
3D Paper Snowflake - The 6 point monster in bottom center. I glued anywhere it’s stapled instead. Also for the center instead of stacking all of them, stack three points then stack the other three and put them on top of each other crossways like >< if that makes sense, instead of having them all one way like > I made mine out of 4″ square paper.
Kusudama Flower Ball - Upper left corner, half of one and 3 more flowers, 3 to go before I’m done. These take A WHILE. I have also made ones out of slightly larger paper and left them at half for a table top decoration. This one is made with 3″ square paper.
Swedish/Woven Christmas Star - Upper right- made with the same 6″ x 1/2″ strips as shown in the video. If you make this out of fairly stiff paper it makes a nice tree topper. There are other variations with more strips/weaving.
Froebel Star- Top middle. I linked this particular video because this takes fairly long strips of paper and she shows how to glue shorter strips together if your paper isn’t long enough. I used the same strips as with the woven star, glued together so they’re 12″ x 1/2″
3D Paper Stars-  Bottom right & center right. I did these in both 3″ and 4″ squares. They’re kind of weird to stick together in the end, it’s like you’re gluing empty space, but somehow it works?
Paper Dahlia- Bottom left. I used 2″ squares, didn’t count exactly how many because I had to make more. Maybe 50? I think I’d like to leave this one with just a couple outer rows next time and open in the center like a wreath, or maybe put some greenery in the center or something.
Another 3D Paper Snowflake- center, both 3″ and 4″ square paper.
Origami Diamond- center left. Easy as heck to fold, kind of tricky to glue together. Thicker paper would make this dead easy.
Note- I used Alieene’s Tacky Glue with paperclips to  hold things in place until they dried on all of these. Hot glue can be  handy too, especially doing the final assembly of the kusudama, but I am  lazy and didn’t feel like getting mine out.
Also amusing, I’ve crafted my way through The Magician’s Nephew (which will never be the first book to me.) and am now starting into The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Part of the cover was the base for the dahlia.

New video up on my YouTube channel about how to make these cute KUSUDAMA flowers! This is a great beginner paper flower origami projects because it requires little folding and is mostly together with hot glue. Great project! Hello everyone!!
It's been a while. Turns out I got measles and went about two weeks without being able to do much more than lie in bed and miss my precious ones. At some point my fever went to 40C!!!! Yeeeee measles was... Not fun.
Apparently there's an epidemic going on in my province atm and I happened to be at the same doctor as someone who got it. Now, I'm not even gonna feel bad for that cause I could die if I didn't go to the doctor but because of measles and because I got it, my entire group home went on quarantine and for about four days when the chances of someone else showing symptoms was highest no one was allowed to leave their rooms.
That... Was no fun either, cause some people are babies. I actually had to stay in my room for two whole weeks without even showering and no one came talk to me but I wasn't being fussy about that. Gee.
Anyway, putting it simply that's why I disappeared for a long time. I know there were clues about me disappearing on my last post but also I had no idea it would take This long.
Honestly, being stuck for this long is misery business. Especially since I had no wifi and like nothing to even distract myself with...
On the days everyone was stuck it seemed that the staff Finally realized how stressful it can be being stuck in your tiny room all day and they provided us with some tea and snacks and origami paper and I made an entire kusudama in like three days. Now That one was fun. I got a little hyperfixated and made the origami flowers nonstop during that time. I'll come show it eventually once I figure out how to make it actually stay round.
So I'm still fighting for wifi and my manager seems like she couldn't care less but at the same time she just doesn't want to make things easy and it's being stressful.
And it's not just hurting me, which is the worst part of it.
I'm not sure of what to do and I got the suggestion of bypassing her and getting wifi anyway but she's not just gonna... Allow that, i don't think...
But I need to be able to talk to my support system.
I miss my friends. I miss my beloveds. And I also miss my blogs.
As soon as February comes I'll get a better grasp on how much a month I'll be getting and then I guess I can try whining again?
-sighs-
I knew from the beginning I wasn't gonna like this person who became my manager she's just...
Frustrating.

Hey guys, I wanted to share this cool flower ball I made out of mostly paper and some tape! It's called a Kusudama ball! It took me SO LONG to finish, but I'm really proud of it. Usually they're made with colorful and designed paper, but I only had regular white printer paper. I'm currently working on making another one with the shreds of paper from the first one! (Image ft. a cute doll I made on one of those doll makers thats circulating around) --- Have you guys ever done anything with origami or paper in general? Send me pics/tell me in the comments!! --- #ohno I don't know how to tag things that aren't cosplay D: #kusudama #origami #kusudamaflower #kusudamaball #origamiflower #origamiball #origamiart #dollmaker #ocmaybe #idkhescute #twitter #tumblr http://bit.ly/2SdrLbK
