The first and foremost element that should be considered is to develop a brand identity that is promising and stands out in the market. It’s advisable, to begin by introducing the products you sell in the market. Then, put your brand USPs and what you offer apart from the competitors.

Today’s hot tip is if you’re about to buy a more expensive beauty product, remember to check if the product has a mini/travel version and check the prize in relation to the amount of product you get and compare the two because there’s a real chance that the full size version will cost more per ounce/ml/gram/what have you. It’s not always the case but it has happened to me several times by now and there’s never any rhyme or reason to it as far as I can tell.

(Jacobsbadwig) I’m so disappointed because the packaging is so cute but the color story is just…not hitting it. Also people in the comments of the instagram post are arguing about if it needed red which is does because of the blood typing scene which people are forgetting and the whole James bite like duh. But also the company teased the shadow look with someone in red contacts so…it definitely gave an expectation of more and it wasn’t clear if it was the entire saga or just the first movie especially leaning on the Team Jacob and Team Edward thing
yeah color story is not it for me. tbh i'm really liking some of the matte shades, but i totally agree with you (and IG comments) that there are some shades missing. red for sure - i saw that same post with the red eyes and was so excited there would be this deep carmine color. i also would've loved a warm brown/orangey shade reminiscent of Arizona. or like a gold for Edward's eyes?? (the gold in the story looks too washed out imo). or jewel-tone purple from the flowers in the meadow??? & there are so many colors & different directions you could go... why stick to all greens and blues and greys?
and idc how reputable the brand is, i will always side-eye a promo vid that just shows the swatches but doesn't give us an action shot of swatching. like, we have no idea how many layers it took for these promo swatches to look the way they are. sucks bc the palette was what i was most excited about, but idk. maybe i'll wait for some reviews. wyt?

flower knows 花知晓 lip products.
i found this chinese brand through a beauty youtuber and the packaging of the brand is so extravagant that it caught my interest. i decided to buy some lip products to try out because there’s an official store on lazada and there was a sale.
the brand has many different series of makeup products and each series has a very different design and packaging, but all are so amazing though. i picked three from all the series, after a long time scrolling through the available products, everything is simply so pretty.
cherry love lipstick lip gloss liquid lip tint - G04 almond nips - the pick packaging is very pretty, love the heart thing on the top, this color is very wearable, more like mlbb color and it has a glossy finish. it is quite moisturizing and makes me dry lips look much healthier.
circus series matte lipstick satin lipstick - C05 black tea jelly - i chose a dark brick red color from this series, the pigment is quite beautiful with matte finish, however it works well on my dry lips as it feel moisturizing and kinda blur the lines as well. i quite like the overall look for this one but the lipstick is quite soft, so only gentle touch during application.
strawberry rococo series cloud lip cream lipstick - peachy milk - this is a matte finish lip tint, very fluid and the pigment is quite natural and again, very moisturizing finish so it works for my dry lips. i also liked the color that i choose, making my lips looks healthier even when i don’t wear any makeup.
i am quite impressed on how good quality the lip products are, because all of them doesn’t dry my lips out further, that’s a great thing for me. and just how beautiful all these are, it just look great on your vanity even if you don’t use it often. and the products are very reasonably priced with such good quality and packaging, and very easy to purchase and there’s always sales going on. i also got some free gifts - a eyelash curler and a very cute beauty pouch, just from this first purchase, which is a nice surprise and very kind of the brand. i am definitely getting more products in the future, simply because it is visually pleasing.

Let’s face it: beauty products greatly contribute to the destruction of our environment. While we deeply concern ourselves with looking better, the environment suffers from our irresponsibility and self-centeredness.
Did it ever occur to you where those beauty products go after you use them?

How To Make A DIY Face Cream With Skin-Protecting Essential Oils
Tumblr media
First, the ingredients
Natural doesn’t mean wimpy. You don’t need chemicals to hydrate, even out skin tone, and smooth fine lines; plant-made ingredients can be super potent. “The beauty of using natural ingredients is many of them are easily absorbed into the skin and sometimes way more concentrated,” says Holistic esthetician Daron Hope, founder of EarthTonics Skincare.
Of course, in the beginning, stocking up on all of these skin-nourishing supplies to make your own skincare products can be a little pricey—but if you're committed to going natural, investing in these ingredients will absolutely save you money in the long run, since they're extremely versatile and can be used in everything from DIY body butters to lip balm to beeswax candles to soothing muscle salves.
Here’s a rundown of what ingredients are in the DIY face cream recipe below and why they're so great for your skin…
Shea butter: The super-rich moisturizer softens skin and locks in moisture.
Aloe gel: Healing, calming and antibacterial, aloe helps repair skin and replenish lost moisture.
Rose water: A skin soother that reduces redness and inflammation.
Jojoba oil: A potent skin repairer and anti-inflammatory with plumping powers.
Rosehip seed oil: Superstar anti-ager loaded with antioxidants that quenches dry skin.
Beeswax: A hydrator and emulsifier that helps bind water and oil together.
Frankincense essential oil: A natural healer that can erase wrinkles and hyperpigmentation while increasing elasticity.
Rose essential oil: A proven emollient and anti-inflammatory with hydrating, moisturizing and skin-softening powers.
DIY Skin Smoothing Face Cream
Makes 8 ounces
1/3 cup shea butter 1/8 cup beeswax ¼ cup jojoba or rosehip oil 1/3 cup rose water ½ cup aloe gel 15 drops Frankincense essential oil 15 drops rose essential oil

Directions:
1. In a double boiler, melt shea butter and beeswax together. After oils are melted allow them to cool slightly.
2. While shea butter mixture is melting, combine jojoba or rosehip, rose water, and aloe gel in a large glass measuring cup. Warm up the liquid in a double boiler (this will help it combine with the oil mixture).
3. Using an immersion blender or hand mixer, blend the heated aloe mixture until mixed completely (it will turn milky) and continue to blend while you stream in the melted shea butter mixture.
4. Blend for a few minutes until cream starts to emulsify and becomes thick and fluffy.
5. Add the essential oils and mix until combined.
6. Using a spatula, transfer cream into a large freezer bag or piping tube. Cut the tip and pipe into sterilized glass jars (four 2-ounce glass jars). Cap jars and store cream in fridge for up to one year.
7. Slather over face and luxuriate in the heavenly scent and natural ingredients.

Makeup Packaging: How the Packaging Influences your Makeup Shopping Decisions
Tumblr media
Evolution of Makeup Packaging Makeup packaging has come a long way from the simple metal compacts and paper boxes of the early 20th century. As the needs and preferences of consumers have changed, so too has the design and functionality of makeup containers. Early on, manufacturers focused primarily on protecting the product and providing basic information. Over time, additional elements were incorporated to attract customers and influence purchasing. Let's take a look at some of the key developments in makeup packaging over the decades. In the first half of the 1900s, powder and rouge came in simple tins or cardboard boxes with minimal graphics. Lipsticks were cylindrical tubes or pots with a color swatch on the label. As mass production gained steam post World War II, plastic containers replaced metal for lower costs. This allowed for molded compacts in fun shapes and larger palettes. Glossy advertisements brought vibrant colors to magazines, creating demand for new styles. The consumer revolution of the 1960s ushered in disposable income and self-expression. Makeup went pop with bright packaging to match the youth culture. Revlon launched its trendsetting Pop Art nail polishes and lipsticks adorned in painterly prints. Clear plastic emerged for lip and eye products to better showcase shades. Sleek metallic tubes conveyed luxury for higher-end brands. Advancements in printing birthed graphic designs and bold typefaces in the 1970s-80s. Eyeshadow palettes took off as a way to build kits for different looks. Signature brand logos helped cultivate customer loyalty. In the 90s, limelight for gutsy colours like turquoise brought out futuristic finishes. Lightweight plastics and minis became portable must-haves. The 21st century saw Makeup Packaging pushed to new limits. From glittery exteriors to holographic shifters mimicking the products inside, flashy exteriors drew consumers to shelves. Sustainable bamboo and recycled tubes entered the scene. Customizable compacts allowed personalization. Complex molds created multifunctional components like built-in brushes or mirrors. Meanwhile, technological interfaces blurred physical and digital worlds. Impact of Sensory Marketing Advances in materials science and manufacturing now allow unparalleled creativity and interactivity in makeup applications. Whereas appearance was once the main focal point, sensory elements are equally important in engaging target audiences. The feel, sound and even smell of a product all influence the shopping experience. Brands employ these techniques to build emotional connections at points of sale. A well-designed container can enhance several senses on its own. Smooth plastic that's cool to the touch may translate quality, while premium metallic finishes signal luxury. The satisfying click of a compact or satisfying twist of a lipstick potentially triggers positive responses. Some go farther with touch-activated lights, music or voice memos inside. Layered fragrances on compacts may match scent to specific lip, eye or face palettes. On shelves, standouts make first impressions through vibrant palettes that jump off in peripherals. Glossy, holographic or textured exteriors catch attention where seconds matter most. Meanwhile, satisfying sensory aspects encourage handling time crucial to consideration and education. It's no surprise high-tech packaging coincides with top-selling prestige lines. Brands realize an immersive unboxing fosters attachment and increases lifetime customer value. Sustainable Innovations As environmental and ethical concerns rise globally, forward-thinking companies innovate with sustainability in mind. Post-consumer recycled plastic is a growing standard while bioplastics create plant-based options. Some new packaging utilizes recycled cardboard envelopes that fold flat for shipping. Refillable compacts reduce single-use waste by allowing replacement of powders or creams over time.

Entry 21
The red wine test strikes again... this time, it was a bottle of liquid lip/cheek tint that I bought because I was curious about it.
Either the specific brand I bought wasn't the finest of its sort, or this type of product just isn't for me, but I wasn't at all heartbroken about accidentally dropping and breaking the bottle.
Don't celebrate for me just yet. I do still have two more bottles of tint (different shades) to go through. I've come to like blending them on my cheeks with a damp sponge; the diffused, barely-there look is well-suited to my features. But it's still easier and (for me) a less aggravating sensory experience to achieve this with a regular old powder blush, so the liquids will not be a repeat purchase.
Together with the lipsticks I got as a gift, I'm beginning to have a better understanding of my tastes. There was only one method of application that I liked - mixing or layering the lipstick/tint product with my clear lip balm or clear gloss. Now I'm aware that the only things I really want on my lips are glosses and tinted lip balms... so I'll just keep on mixing, and when my mixing media (balm and/or clear gloss) run out, I'll only replenish those. I thought I might be interested in the hip new thing (lip oil), but now I realize I don't particularly like runny formulas, whether they are watery (tint), oily (lip oil) or something else (whatever the heck liquid lippies have going on, I don't know, I'm not a chemist).
Peace and Love.
