It's extremely funny to me that people consider Shadow to be the oldest living Sonic character because he was asleep for 50+ years, when in actuality he's intellectually the youngest.

He was MAYBE out of his conception tube for like 6 months before all that with GUN happened. He was then put to sleep, woken by Eggman 50 years later and the entirety of SA2 happened over like, maybe a week. Depending on how you choose to view the Sonic timeline between Shadow 2005 and now, Shadow's only been active for a couple of years.
