#makes more genetic sense since her mother is a twin

So, in case you haven't heard...
Penny, from Scarlet and Violet is officially related to both Peony and Peonia (and, well, Rose too, since he'd be her uncle)! Peony is her father, and Peonia is her sister.
For those unaware, this is Peony.
And this is Peonia!
The woman in this image is (presumably) their mother (unless Penny is a half-sibling or adopted, which I don't think is the case).
And let me just say, this makes me so, so happy, seeing this visual/genetic diversity in a family.
So many people are completely ignorant to how genetics and biracial people can exist and have their genes expressed. Two siblings from a biracial couple, such as a black and white person, can look totally different. One could have curly hair and one could have straight! One could be super light-skinned and the other dark-skinned! Two kids from two parents doesn't mean that they necessarily just get a "mix" of how they both look.
Seeing this represented makes me so happy. I really hope more people realize just how different siblings from interracial couples can look. I really hope people don't erase this aspect of Penny's character, or think that she doesn't look Black enough or enough like a POC.
For a real life example, here are a pair of biracial twins!
(Lucy and Maria Aylmer)
So, basically, the point of this post is this:
Penny is Peonia's sister and Peony's daughter! This was my headcanon for a while, considering her name is Penny and based on Peony, but seeing it confirmed makes me so happy. I want this post to end on the note to inform people that biracial people can look like this. Biracial people can pass completely as white. White-passing biracial people can have dark-skinned parents and family members. Biracial people don't owe you passing as their ethnicity and the ethnicity/race of their family.
Please embrace this aspect of Penny and learn what being biracial can look like! Understand, acknowledge, and accept how biracial people can look! I've already seen people frustrated that Penny doesn't look "Black enough" or saying that her design makes no sense, or that she couldn't possibly be Peony's daughter, which is already a huge issue for REAL LIFE BLACK PEOPLE, who are told this!!! Even if you don't realize it, these thoughts and ideas ARE racist to have. How you view people when they're not real can often be indicative of how you treat them when they ARE real!
I hope that if you didn't already know these things, that you don't feel bad about it, and instead come away with new knowledge and understanding!
Edit: Also she could just be adopted? I meant to say that in this post and forgot. Like, adoption is a thing. Like, we know that Bede was an orphan and all... (I however don't think she was adopted based on her visual similarities)
Additional edit: I'm not trying to imply that their family is Black, either—I mentioned Black biracial families as an example, and also mentioned it at the end because I specifically made this post in response to people saying Penny "isn't black enough" and directing their racism towards Black biracial families. In all likelihood, their family is probably implied to be the Pokémon equivalent of Indian.
Other additional edit: Dialogue in game
Penny also frequently refers to her dad's behaviors that align with how Peony behaves

Things I like to think about for Keegan
(Huge ass ramble, so be aware of a yapping session 🗣🔥)
Even though we don't know what the Ghosts members' parents look like, I like to think that Keegan looks a lot like his mom
Keegan P. Russ, a man born to a beautiful mother and average ahh dad (/j)
I actually feel like maybe Keegans parents were actually pretty good-looking. Or at least leaned towards being attractive, like seriously take a good look at Keegan and tell me he has bad genetics (he doesn't)
Prob got his facial structure from his dad or sum, however genetics work. But his eyes? Hair color? Definitely his mom. So imagine Keegans mom, a rough image of her, then Keegan standing right next to her. Just 2 pairs of blue eyes staring into your soul.
They look like twins, man 💀
Nah, cause imagine blue-eyed Keegans mama holding baby Keegan himself with eyes that are grayish-bluish (babies can have different colored eyes when they're born. I had gray eyes instead of brown in the beginning in my case) and they're both just...staring.
Okay maybe Keegan got his emotionless stare from his dad, or maybe it's the aftermath of the whole Sand Viper mission he experienced back in his early days (bet ya forget the mf is basically old compared to most of us). I think his mom's eyes may have carried a type of confidence, a type of softness in them (that's why his Keegans dad fell in love with Keegans mother fr /j)
And yeah Keegans dad has brown or hazel eyes lololol. Plus brunette or very dark colored hair. (He and his son do look related, he's not completely the odd one out)
Great, now I wanna hold a baby version of Keegan in my arms 😔 (I feel like he was lowkey a very vocal baby. Always whining and babbling, not crying, just making sounds. Definitely loved his mom a lot more than his dad though)
Can't be too sure about his childhood though. I think maybe he came from a semi-broke family, yeah his parents loved him and each other (maybe Keegan even had some siblings. But he strikes me as an only child due to how quiet and mature he is, an only child like me fr). But yeah, I feel like he had a bit of a rough upbringing in terms of a financial situation. Makes sense as to why he would be in Sand Viper as a barely 15-16 year old highschooler.
Speaking of which, how could Keegan even be 16 at the time of Sand Viper? You have to be at least 17 to even be able to join. Like, for the National Guard, you can join as a junior in high school, but only when you turn 17. So, in a way , it doesn’t make sense as to how Keegan happened to be there at an age below 17.
(maybe he got stuck there and decided to fight with the others cause they weren't able to evacuate him like everyone else or sum, or make him go back to the hospital where all the civilians were. I forgot a good portion of Sand Viper)
(And during this time he maybe met Ajax who was of a proper age to even be there, since he was 17-18 or so)
I know the devs didn't pay too much attention to his birthdate, so it's pretty messed up when someone does actually pay attention to everything and his life timeline 💀
Could it be possible that they accidently messed up his birth date (head)canonically? Like, my mom's birth date is messed up on her drivers license, and I'm pretty sure her ID also has the same thing.
Imagine some guy accidently inputted the wrong date for Keegan in some sorta military database and didn't even realize nor bother to change it 💀
Stupid I know but yeah, the devs fault on that part to mess up his age like that cause you literally CANNOT be on the battle field as a 15-16 year old, especially in the USA since I'm pretty sure child soliders don't exist here anymore.
But yeah, that's pretty much it
Thanks for reading

Crack Silm relationships I'd like to read about
It would completely ruin the story and Jirt’s intents, structure, motifs and characters, but at least I could read the Silm without going “No, not the ruin of Beleriand again ! Ah, no, please, not the third Kinslaying, I can’t !”.
Maedhros and Lúthien.
He has trauma, looks much the worse for wear after his captivity, and would definitely piss off her dad as a choice of boyfriend (rebel teenage Lúthien energy). She is the most beautiful (self-explanatory), a unique type of Elf-Maia being (Noldor like novelty and are curious), spends a lot of time singing which I guess would foster a sense of comforting familiarity in one wounded not just in body but also in mind ?
Anyway, they could have a great Wounded Beast who Swore a Stupid Oath and Committed Some Crimes and Eldricht Beauty I Can Fix Him dynamic.
They both hang out in forests enough that they could easily meet. She would take him of a stealth mission to steal the Silmarils. He would borrow his brother’s knives (one knife per Silmaril), and they would be successful. Huan could give a hand out of family solidarity. Morgoth would be to stunned/ashamed/doesn’t really like to move his ass from his throne anyway so nothing much would happen immediately. They would still be at war and Morgoth would make more monsters and bid his time.
Lúthien could wear the three Silmarils on a crown. Maedhros would be very happy and proud. She is canonically the prettiest Elf ever and he is “well formed” so they could have the prettiest babies. And actually, and I’m very aware that is not at all how genetics work, but they would have Lúthien’s canonical descendants as their babies. That’s 7 of them, which sounds like an adequate number of sprogs for a Fëanorian (no need to change the family sigil !).
Eärendil and Elwing would be the elder, a twin brother and sister. At some point in their teens (Elvish teens, they’re in their thirties), they decide to take a Silmaril from their mother’s jewellery box and to go on their own little stealth mission to save the world, after having spend too much time with their Uncle Fingon. Since Elwing is very eldrichty and can change into birds, and Eärendil can (check note) make boats, the missions is of course a total success. Guided by the light of the Silmaril, they eventually land on the shores of Valinor where they immediately start singing a moving song about the plight of Middle Earth. Eärendil accompanies the song by playing Fingon’s harp (he knows how stealth missions work and of course took Fingon’s silver great harp along with his mother’s jewellery), Elwing leads a chorus of seabirds at key moments.
The Valar are of course moved (have we mentioned how pretty they both look ???), they send an army to Middle-Earth, Eärendil and Elwing are given the right to spend their life travelling between Middle-Earth and Valinor by the Valar as a reward. Eärendil choses to do the trips in the sky on his boat (because he can), his mum’s Silmaril on his forehead, the shadow of Fingon's harp clearly visible against the light of the Silmaril. The Fëanorians are totally cool with it, since he is himself a Fëanorian.
Elwing eventually settles in Tol Eressëa where she becomes Queen of the returned Elves, and therefore beats her Aunt Galadriel to the post by about an age at being the first reigning female ruler among the Elves.
Dior would be kept well away from making any sort of political decision. Given his clearly incredible fighting talents though, he would either end up being Celegorms’ favourite nephew and heir, or, my favourite version, he would take over the cavalry and the Gap from Maglor, who would be able to finally go chill somewhere and write some music.
Elured and Elurin would eventually inherit Doriath, just because. Or they would go and live a wild life of hunting and hanging out in the forest with their uncles Ambarussa. They’re still twins.
Elros and Elrond are obviously still twins as well. They are born very shortly after Elured and Elurin, and since that’s a lot of eldricht peredhil twins to have under just one roof (just the weather is wild, people are begging Mae to do something about it), they are given to foster to another family member as per Victorian family traditions. This family member is, of course, Maglor, who doesn’t really get to chill for very long after all. Since he’s no longer in charge of the cavalry or a super-hard-to-defend position, he raises the twins.
Elros of course is now an Elf-Maia peredhel, and doesn’t have to die. He still founds Númenor and becomes their king, because someone with the gift of prescience finally used it for something useful and figured out that these guys could really do with a wise, immortal ruler, who wouldn’t, you know, suddenly decide to go and invade Valinor once he finds the burden of mortality too hard to bear. Elendil is his son. Isildur his grandson. He is kept well away from rings.
Elrond is pretty much the same, but with less people around him having died/disappeared/been killed. But he’s too awesome to be different. He’s still the same “kind as summer” dude. He becomes his father’s heir, because he’s just too awesome. Everybody thinks it’s a great choice, because he is too awesome. He’s bestie with his cousin Gil-Galad, the High King.
That turned out to be a longer post than intended so I’ll post the rest later.

Okay. I’ve had time to process the spoilers for chapter 407: Paranormal Orphan.
Here are my thoughts:
-WTF?! They are twins?! What is it with Japanese mangaka and having unhinged twin relationships?! I’m looking at you, Nightow.
-AFO was born with his Quirk activated. Stealing nutrients from his mother then desperately feeding off of her corpse. Stole her Quirk too and seems to have some sentimental value in it as he still uses it often to this day.
-Low-key, I think there’s a hint here that the genetic change in babies and pre-pubescent kids started as some sort of STD that evolved considering their mom was a prostitute and “contracted” an illness. That’s just me, though.
-The first person he ever had was Yoichi and he held his hand right after birth. Also: JFC THAT’S A BIG BOY
-AFO is a victim of his Quirk like the other villains(Toga, Touya, Tenko). He was born wanting to possess things. I don’t like the whole “he was born evil” narrative. Yeah, he looks like a crazy ass Omen baby, but it makes sense he’d think the way he does.
-AFO is also an unreliable narrator here as this is all from his POV
-He says something to the effect of (we’ll know more once we get the scanlations) how, even though Yoichi can’t give him anything like he wants from everyone else, he’s still “his”.
-So, did he just get up and start walking and taking care of his brother out of sheer will when he was still a baby or did someone pick them up and raise them to the point when AFO wanted something from them and killed them when he didn’t get it?
-Yoichi still believes there is some good in his brother because he held his hand as a baby. 😭 Poor kid
-Poor wittle Yoichi getting kicked because he threw something at AFO. For how they’ve had to live, it makes sense AFO would react that way…in a manner of speaking.
-Yoichi learning to read from comics he finds in rubble/a dump. AFO takes notice and sits next to him. He then likes the part where the author says “One for All, All for One.” He should have had a name prior that he must have given himself as Yoichi has one. Though it would make sense that AFO named Yoichi himself as “first gift” since he was the first thing he ever had.
-AFO being jealous of the Glowing Baby is pretty spot on. All of this seems to hint that AFO and Yoichi were the first to have powers considering how AFO talks about the Glowing Baby and the 50 kids born in India.
-The last page is quite a cliffhanger and it sucks we have to wait 2 weeks for the next part(there’s no way this isn’t a two parter).
-How AFO is thinking about Yoichi leaving him is intensely possessive and reminds me of how Vader choked Padme when he thought she was betraying/leaving him. This also ties into how AFO didn’t know he had killed Yoichi.
-My guess is that AFO lashed out and sliced off Yoichi’s hand in a possessive rage. He was so startled by his own action that it gave the 3rd user time to grab Kudo and Yoichi then speed out of there.
-Is it just me or does anyone else hope AFO kept Yoichi’s hand? Parallel to Tomura having all of his family’s hands. I sure hope he did because I need even more twisted twin obsession.
-It’s most likely Yoichi lived long enough after this(and maybe with his blood) transferred OFA to Kudo. He then died from his blood loss and that’s why AFO didn’t know he had killed him.
-AFO crying over Yoichi’s death maybe the first and only time he’s ever cried. Yoichi did mean something to him, maybe even more than a “thing”, but he didn’t realize it until that one moment. He blames Kudo for his death because of the mental gymnastics he has to go through to convince himself that there’s no way he would have hurt the only person he’s ever actually loved—possessive as it may be. If Kudo hadn’t have taken him from the vault, he wouldn’t have reacted and cut off Yoichi’s hand, and therefore, Yoichi would still be alive.
-If he takes OFA with Yoichi’s soul in it, then Yoichi will be his again and “I totally didn’t kill him. See! He’s still alive!”
-The internet’s hot-takes that AFO is homophobic because he went full possessive Vader over Yoichi is weird. I said it.
-A part of me wants there to be a cliffhanger where we think Bakugo may have defeated AFO. We then get the intense fight between Tomura and Deku. Deku is about to win, however that’s going to happen, but then AFO shows up around the age he was when he kicked Yoichi, and he’s holding Bakugo as a threat, demanding Deku give him his brother back. But that’s just me. Again.
Anyway, I can admit when I’m wrong about a villain’s backstory. It wouldn’t be the first time and I honestly should have expected something like this considering Horikoshi going full on horror during this Final War arc. However, I don’t think AFO being born with his Quirk activated and “wanting to take” necessarily makes him “born evil.” The twins still had to survive on the streets as orphans, anti-meta people believing AFO is a diseased heathen and never wanting to help either of them. So, he took on exactly what they thought of him. It’s actually quite sad when you stop to think about it.
I’m going to be frothing at the mouth for the next two weeks to see how this backstory ends. Since it started with AFO going nuts and thinking Bakugo is Kudo, I’m assuming we’ll get further context of AFO’s thoughts when he’s crying.

I have a theory that Hannah Sparkes is adopted
As the title says is Hannah adopted? I know cartoon logic and everything but Fireman Sam is pretty good about genetics especially when it comes to parents and their kids.
Mandy's skin tone is in the middle of her parents, she has black hair like Helen, and brown eyes like both of her parents.I'll say Mandy looks more like Helen then Mike but she does look a lot like both of her parents
The twins of blonde hair like Bronwyn, yes neither Charlie or Bronwyn have blue eyes but Sam does. So there is a good chance that one of Sam and Charlie's parents have/had blue eyes. I'll say twins look more like Charlie then Bronwyn
It's hard to do this with Norman since he only has his mother. But it's probably safe to say Norman most likely takes after his father
Same for Lily Chen. Since we only see her mother Mrs Chen. It's a bit different for the Chen family since they are the only Asian family in Pontypandy and I don't want to say anything racist by accident.
Now when it comes to siblings in Pontypandy some who look a lot alike such as Sarah and James or Ellie and Jodie and their are sibling groups who don't look a lot alike such as Helen and Malcolm or Sam and Charlie but that could simply be that each take after a different parent (like me and my sister, I look like our dad and she looks like are mom). That's probably the case for Sam and Charlie. Krystyna and Peter do look related but I won't say that they look like (half) siblings. If I just saw photos of them I'll probably say they are cousins
Speaking of cousins, we do see familial resemblances with extended family members. Such as Sarah and James having the same eye color as Sam or that Derek has similar hair color to Dillys. Jerry Lee looks like Elvis but with blonde hair. But not everyone has this strong of the familial resemblance. The twins didn't look like their grandfather Gareth, Mandy doesn't share any traits with Malcolm and Penny and Annie don't look related at all. Which makes sense when it comes to genetics.
Now when it comes to the Sparkes family. The chances of the man with brown eyes and woman with blue eyes to have a baby with green eyes actually has a lot of range, any where from 0% to 25% (different sites told me different things) and for a man with brown hair and a woman with red hair to have a baby with blonde hair is rare ranging form 0% to 17% (once again different sites said different things). I know these things can happen (my sister has blonde hair and blue eyes and the rest of the immediate family has brown eyes and hair) especially since we don't have extended family members for the Sparkes family. Hannah also has a completely different face shape from her parents (this one is hard for me cuz I'm face blind). Hannah just doesn't look like her parents unlike the rest of the kids (with on screen parents) who do look like at least one of their parents (once again looking at you Norman Price). If I didn't really know the show and just saw an episode on tv while babysitting or just because it's the only thing on at the hotel I'll probably say Hannah is mother is either Bronwyn or Penny. Like I'll probably believe you if you say Hannah is Penny's daughter or that Hannah is the older sister of Sarah and James.
Fireman Sam can go many different ways with the Hannah being adopted storyline. Maybe the kids are talking about when they were babies and showing each other their baby albums and in Hannah's it shows when she was adopted. Hannah treats it like it's no big deal and maybe jokes that she wishes she didn't get as an embarrassing dad as she did (Most likely one to be an actual episode). Another idea is that Hannah is excited that her birth mom is coming to visit it can go one of two ways Hannah's birth mom and possibly sibling(s) visit Hannah in Pontypandy or two Hannah's birth mom doesn't show up and Hannah is really upset about it. Hannah and Norman could team up to find their biological parents/father and ask why they were abandoned. Hannah doesn't know she's adopted and finds out by herself and is extremely upset and confused about it she tries to figure out who she really is. Hannah could run away after finding out this family secret and she's really mad at her parents for not telling her. I honestly might start headcanoning Hannah as being adopted but not knowing until she adolescence.
TLDR: Fireman Sam follows the rules of genetics and Hannah is probably adopted
#fireman sam#genetics#I think I’ve mentioned almost every human character with friends members in the show in this post#fan theory#I guess

What’s your thoughts on how Bill got his powers?
At first, I thought that he had gotten them AFTER he destroyed his dimension, but that doesn’t really make any sense because he used his powers to destroy it in the first place.
Do you think he was born with them? Or something else?
Funny you should ask that, because Back In The Day i actually had a full Bill backstory fic planned- never written, but planned.
But in my fic, he was born with them! I forgot what my explanation was, or if I even had one. I guess.... have you seen Nope? The movie, y'know? Or at least heard of it? It's like they said in that movie- what does a bad miracle look like?
I suppose Bill's powers were a bad miracle.
I have my old notes somewhere, all I remember was that he was an Irregular in a family of Equilaterals, he had a twin (equilateral) brother named Caesar, he got corrective surgery to make him look "proper" at some point... uuhhh.... Flatland was divided into two "halves" a la the Berlin Wall, where one side was a lot stricter with the laws and a lot more prejudiced, while the other side was laxer with irregulars and the such, and Bill was on the strict side.
He was also adopted, because I remember a scene where he meets his biological, Isosceles father. His birth mother had since killed herself- tendencies like that ran in her family. I guess his Equilateral family just, adopted him with the intent to get him surgically fixed up once he was of proper age. But Bill, as a "genetic Irregular" was not allowed to have kids.
Bill rarely ever used his powers growing up, and his life with Caesar was fairly mundane, honestly, which was the point. They eventually moved out and lived together? Bill was a prostitute for a while with some irregulars who were being harbored by the guy in charge and it ended with his, uh, "boss" being blinded by him.
There was this subplot where Bill and a wealthy couple make a deal that benefits both of them- Bill, still angry at not being allowed to have kids, wanted a kid. The couple was societally expected to have a child, but didn't want one. So Bill was gonna impregnate the line woman, she was gonna have the baby in secret and tell everyone it was a stillbirth. And that she was so torn up over it that she can't bring herself to try again, no, not just yet, the loss, the wound, it still stings. You get the idea.
It ended very not well.
I swear this all connected WAY better back then. I'm 22 trying to remember 16, man, it's not gonna be a clear image.
ANYWAY point being, Bill was born with his powers and he did destroy his dimension with them in a semi-accidental fit of rage, i.e. he meant to burn stuff, just not everything.
And yes, he killed his brother in this incident. I remember that scene, it was fucking rough. You all should be glad I didn't write this.
And then a bunch of other stuff happened. There was a canon trans character. It was gonna be canon that the caesar cipher was named after Bill's brother, by Bill. He did that.
It probably would have been very not good but who knows? It's not like I was godawful back then. But there's my extremely long-winded answer~

Bria was being seen by the doctor for a checkup. One of the staff members joined her for the appointment since she was not allowed to leave by herself. They were met by Donna and Jason, who had flown in for the appointment. She couldn’t take any of her medications because of the risks to the baby, so her moods and emotions were out of whack. They were being monitored carefully. She had horrible morning sickness, so she was advised to use ginger chews while maintaining a healthy diet.
Her other symptoms indicated the baby was developing the right way. Her blood was drawn to test for genetic conditions like Down syndrome. She was also checked for gestational diabetes. The tech did an ultrasound to determine how many babies she was having. Just one. It was too soon to see the gender, but they got to hear the heartbeat.
Oh my god! Thump. Thump. Thump. It was beating regularly. It seemed surreal for Jason. That was his baby! Donna congratulated him. Was he the father? Yes, he was. Congratulations. Thank you. After getting dressed and wiping the jelly off her stomach, they went back to the examination room. Bria was asked about her moods and how she was doing. She and the staff member answered that. They were encouraging her to be open about what she was feeling.
She was also encouraged to rest whenever she needed to. Even if she didn’t nap, she did a quiet activity in her room. Did she know her family medical history?
“I don’t. I was adopted when I was a baby. I have my adoption records at home.”
“You’re in rehab now. Is it for addiction?”
“No, mental health. Before getting pregnant with this baby, I had a chemical miscarriage. I had a mental breakdown and self-harmed. My friend had me hospitalized for seventy-two hours. I then went into rehab because my friends were worried about me self-medicating or hurting myself again.”
How did she self-harm? She cut her wrist. Did she have a history of addiction? Not her specifically, but she was born under the influence of crack cocaine. Her biological grandfather was an alcoholic with undiagnosed and untreated PTSD, while her biological mother had Borderline Personality Disorder and schizophrenia. What was she diagnosed with? ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, anxiety, depression and PTSD.
Was she getting treated for them? Yes, she was seeing a therapist once a week. Sometimes more if she needed it.
“My PTSD is in remission. I think that’s the right term. I don’t have episodes anymore but I still have the diagnosis.”
“What was your PTSD caused by?”
“September eleventh. I was in New York in a hotel room right by the Twin Towers when it happened. I was monitored until I could qualify for a diagnosis.”
“You were right by it?”
“Yeah. Even now, when someone mentions that day, I remember everything but I don’t react the same way. If that makes sense.”
It did. Donna listened to her. She was very self-aware about her mental health and how it affected her. Her grandchild would likely have genetic mental health issues. They would have to watch out for them as he or she got older. She did not have gestational diabetes, but she had to continue monitoring what she ate. They would get the results of the Down syndrome screening within ten business days.
Awesome. They thanked her. It was all very good news! They hoped the baby would continue doing well. Outside, Donna and Jason decided to meet them back at the rehab center. Awesome. Jason was excited! They were meeting Muto at Mike’s for dinner. They could give them the update while also meeting their “grand puppy.” He could stay for a few days. Mike wanted him to attend a therapy appointment with Bria. He would do that.
Bria was bursting with energy, which went against her tired body. She was supposed to rest, but she couldn’t sit still. The three of them went into her room. Bark! Bark! Meow. Like always, the animals were waiting at the door to greet them. Hi, humans!
“Oh my goodness! Who are these guys”, Donna asked.
“We got Woody and Anya. They’re the cats. Then Missy and Buddy are the dogs. All of them love attention, so you can pet them and pick them up if you want.”
Meow!
“How old are they?”
“Woody is seven, Buddy is five, Missy is three and Anya is a year.”
“You got a new pet every two years”, he jokingly asked.
“Accidentally, yes. Unintentionally. Coincidentally. Whatever word you want to use.”
They laughed. Woody was a senior cat. He was slower than he used to be. His breed lived for twelve to fourteen years. She would need a lot of support when he died because he was her oldest child. Cats were not meant to live forever. They would cross that bridge when they got to it. He yawned and stretched out his paws before licking his lips.
The dogs were still healthy and active, as was Anya. As they continued talking, she calmed down and was able to sit still. They pulled up chairs and sat down while she sat on her bed. Donna wanted to get to know her better, so she asked her questions.
“Mike brought up adoption. I don’t know if he was serious about it or if he said it because he was upset about the pregnancy. He just mentioned it to me as something to think about.”
“Yeah, he mentioned it to me too. I’m comfortable with whatever you decide. Both of us want whatever is best for you”, Jason said.
“Why would he talk about adoption”, Donna asked.
“Because of my mental health and Jason being in Cambridge. He doesn’t want me to have an episode where I can’t take care of myself and I have to be hospitalized again. Because of my genetics, I’m at risk of addiction. That’s also something he’s worried about.”
They would have to ask him about it when they saw him for dinner. Once she was discharged, they would sit down together to go over everything. They promised to listen to her and put her feelings into consideration. She had a right to say what happened to her baby as the mother. Thank you. She wanted to have a choice because her mother never had one. Of course. She thought of a name. What was it? Ami Marie. That was beautiful.
How did she spell it? A-m-i. Japanese? Of course. He laughed. Thank you. What was the other name? May Aoi. Both were very beautiful. What if they were having a boy? Then they were in trouble. They laughed. Why?
She was just joking. If they had a child like her, they would be in trouble. She was hyperactive times ten. Donna joked about being able to handle that because they had two boys. Jason laughed. They had seven months to come up with something. Meow. Anya jumped up onto her lap and lay down. Pay attention to me. She petted her and scratched her head, making them laugh.

The "Evolution" flashbacks show Gabriel with dark brown hair, as does the drawing of Babydrien in "Wishmaker".
Assuming the hundredth collection in "Ephemeral" is after four collections a year since the start of his career, that's 25 years of fashion collections. "Ephemeral" is most likely in 2016 or 2017 judging by "Feast" (making Dubosc 53 or 54), which would put the first Gabriel collection when Dubosc was pushing 30. Possibly earlier if Gabriel did fewer collections a year at first. Mid- to late twenties sounds an entirely reasonable age for the first collection from an up-and-coming fashion designer, honestly. 1963 birth year would make Gabriel 37 or almost when Adrien's born in 2000.
My mother turning forty is about when people's opinions of my parents' reproductive choices, as related by my mother years later, started to include "isn't being pregnant at your age dangerous". (By which I mean she heard that during pregnancy 5 in her early forties, not pregnancy 4 in her late thirties.) So yeah, that's about when I'd expect someone who had never been pregnant, or never gotten pregnant without miscarrying, to give up on the idea and, if desperate to be a parent, start looking for alternatives. Assuming they hadn't done one or both already, which, age 35 is apparently when the medical establishment starts treating pregnancies as higher risk due to maternal age. So.
And if the sentibabies idea came about for infertility reasons, it makes more sense to me that the problem is genetic and on Emilie and Amelie's side, since they're identical twins and would therefore both have whatever it is. The original problem, at least; declining fertility with increasing paternal age is also a thing.
(Also if Chloe is a senti and Zoe isn't, well, Andre is also gray-haired and, assuming Mayor of Paris is a six-year term in ML same as RL even though the elections must be on a different cycle, then as of "Darkblade" he was first elected eighteen years ago, and the youngest person to hold the office in RL since the office came back into existence in 1977 was 44. No clue of Audrey's or Tomoe's ages, or Bob Roth's, though again he's gray-haired, and we have less reason to think XY might be a senti than that Chloe might be. Though if Audrey is indeed supposed to evoke Anna Wintour much how Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada does, well, Wintour's birth year probably doesn't help us, she was born in 1949.)
Okay, serious question: just how old is Gabriel Agreste? Because I mean, his hair's white (unless it's blond, I think he dyes it sometimes?), and Harry Clown appears to be a childhood friend, and his hair is ALSO white, and the person Harry Clown is based off of, Franck Dubosc, is 59 years old, so... did Gabriel become a father in his forties? I mean it's certainly possible, but a little odd. And are Emilie and Nathalie also around that age?

You are pregnant (Headcanon AU Omegaverse) - Family Dimitrescu
Alcina Dimitrescu
- It was an accident! It's hard to have some alone time when a trio of little brats roam the castle and want their mothers' full attention, but when the heat started simultaneously you acted like two hormonal teenagers and locked yourself in the bedroom ignoring your daughters, by the end of the day you are both shaking and panting, too busy to think about birth control while trying to fix the broken bed and not let the girls in;
- The nausea is like a punch in the stomach every morning and it is hard not to notice the growing signs, for the first month you tried to ignore it by lying to yourselves that it is just a virus, but then came the dizziness, bloating, fatigue and mood swings. One morning you wake up to Alcina's hands on the tiny one and a half month old bump, stroking it in complete amazement "We can no longer deny that there is a little child here. It's surreal and scary...I wonder if she has little fingers yet?" She questioned a little confused, not knowing much about babies;
- Bela knew even before you did, she is very observant, but that doesn't mean she dealt with it in the best way, and she couldn't hide her jealousy when you decided to tell her the good news, Cassandra just congratulated you and asked how she could help, Daniela didn't hold back and ran to hug your waist, begging to hear the baby. They reacted in different ways, but they are all happy that the mother is happy and proud of you for continuing the Dimitrescu lineage, the notable family of alphas who are sure that this baby will be one too;
- She knows very well what it's like not to feel comfortable with body changes and when stretch marks begin to appear, your belly expands and your breasts grow the countess increases the compliments she already used to give you, before going to sleep she professes her love for you and every part of your body and every morning she thanks you for carrying her child, that even though it wasn't planned is already very desired and loved. She likes to give you massages, caress and kiss every part while praising you, if you don't fall asleep you will end up sitting on your wife's lap being kissed and touched ardently, Alcina tries to avoid sex in the first months after reading that it is a delicate and risky phase, she is afraid of hurting you or the baby with her size;
- The countess is a very protective and jealous alpha, ten fold more when you carry her child in your womb and is proud of her scent that you possess since early pregnancy screaming to who you belong. Alcina doesn't leave your side, she spoils you, and if she could she wouldn't let you out of bed. Because of the companion mark she can sense when you are not well or the baby is restless, on those days she puts everything aside to devote herself to taking care of the family, she even misses meetings with Mother Miranda, but when she can't get away from those commitments always leaves the girls as lookouts and maidens to attend to your every need and desire. She can't hide her jealousy when anyone other than her and the girls get too close to you and dare to touch your pregnant belly, that's how Heinseberg almost lost her hand and one or two maidens were sent to the basement for a few days;
- Alcina is completely sure that you are expecting a girl and uses feminine pronouns to refer to the baby all the time, no one can tell her otherwise. Bela hopes it will be a girl, she likes the idea of having a family composed entirely of women, Cassandra doesn't mind because one way or another she will teach the child everything, including how to hunt, and Dani wants to have a little brother, she thinks boys are fun and mischievous, the two of them would be so naughty together. Donna, who had to make your new dresses during the pregnancy, jokes that for the size you could be expecting twins and Alcina always replies that her daughter has her own genetics and that is why she is bigger than a normal baby;
- The baby will be so spoiled, the tall woman always spoiled her daughters and it won't be any different this time. When she was four months pregnant you already had the whole outfit put together and she couldn't stop compulsively buying things, there are so many expensive dresses that you don't even know that the child will be able to wear them all until she grows up, there are toys everywhere and she even plans to build a small playground in the castle's garden so that when summer comes her daughters can enjoy their days off from the excruciating cold. She is not only spoiling them financially, the countess is very affectionate far from the eyes of others, especially with the girls, although they are already grown up they are still Alcina's little princesses, who reads to them every night, still combs their unruly hair, gives them kisses on the forehead before bed and even lets them sleep between you during stormy nights;
- The next room is renovated, it is all decorated in white and shades of pink, the furniture is custom ordered so that both you and Alcina can take care of the child, bed linen and towels have been personalized with the initial of the letter of the name she plans to give the baby, and there are shelves full of the toys she has bought and children's books. Alcina took care of everything and didn't let you lift a finger to tidy up, you only saw the room after it was finished and it was a cute surprise all the dedication and effort she put into it;
- Since the girls were adopted and she never followed any pregnancies before, Lady Dimitrescu doesn't know much about but she tries to do her best, in the first months she catered to even the strangest and hard to find food wishes because Bela said that if you didn't eat what you wanted the baby would be born with the face of the food, she was really afraid of her daughter being born with a pineapple face. She gets so excited when she feels the baby start to kick and usually lays her head on your belly to feel it, the baby kicked her face a few times. When the baby's agitation becomes uncomfortable for you she is the only one who can calm the baby down, Alcina used to sing before the transformation and has only started doing it again to get the puppy to let you sleep, her voice really calms you down and both you and the baby fall asleep listening to her. Although she doesn't really know what she is doing she follows her alpha instincts as a progenitor and protector of the family, she senses there is something strange about the night she leaves for an emergency meeting and kisses the top of your head saying she would be home soon, not even dreaming that less than an hour after she left you would go into labor prematurely at eight months;
- Daniela and Bela were with you when the contractions started, they sent their sister to get the mother and midwife of your choice while the younger one gives you support and the older one organizes the maidens for the birth. Your wife came home immediately, hoping that at least the midwife was with you, one of the Countess' biggest fears was that the pregnancy could kill you, the cadou is unstable and there is no way to know if the baby was infected or not, plus the possibility of the baby being bigger than a normal one. She was nervous when she saw that the woman hadn't even arrived and almost cried when she heard a shrill scream behind the heavy bedroom doors, running to find you with a bundle of joy wrapped in your arms with Bela, who ended up having to deliver the baby, assisting you "Hi, Iubiera Mea. You took your time... This is our son." Alcina stood in total shock looking at the black haired, golden eyed, blood stained baby boy, the silence hurt you until you saw her crack a big smile that didn't falter when Dani came out of the bathroom with another baby wrapped in a blanket, cleanly "And that's my little sister. Aunt Donna was right." Lady Dimitrescu spent hours admiring the new additions to the family, she had never been so proud before of the little family that quickly became big with the birth of Eloisa and Filip Dimitrescu.
Bonus:
- They are so small, they look like two rag dolls. He has my mother's nose and she is my copy but the eyes are yours. - she looks at her children's little faces, both nestled against her breasts. Alcina still can't believe you had a multiple pregnancy and it makes her so proud of herself as an alpha - You know, maybe next time we'll have triplets.
- Are you crazy? - you and the girls shout in unison, amused.
Bela Dimitrescu
- Surely the baby was planned, she always had the desire to be a mother and was just waiting for the perfect moment. When that moment finally arrived she went crazy to get you pregnant, taking you every day for weeks and waiting anxiously for the heat when she would be sure that you would be carrying her child;
- Bela notices the signs even before anyone else, she pays attention to every detail and a small smile stamps her lips when she witnesses any nausea or back pain, knowing that this is totally because of her, the blonde waits for you to notice, but that doesn't happen until Alcina comments on the slight bulge. "I already knew. Now my baby is going to have our little baby." She whispered proudly kissing your belly;
- She will simply do whatever you or the baby wants, the woman loves to pamper you, especially now that you are carrying her child. Expect to get a brand new wardrobe full of maternity clothes, little souvenirs she finds with the Duke, and lots of affection. If you ask, she may even carry you back and forth on her lap, after all, you are her omega and it is her duty as alpha to make you feel good;
- You thought she would calm down after getting you pregnant but her libido seemed to double when your breasts started to grow, Bela fell in love with the shape and size they gained with pregnancy, it became routine to have her laying the head on both mounds or sucking and fondling them, which always leads to a hot cuddling session or crazy sex. If she could, she would get you pregnant again;
- Bela reads to your baby every night before bedtime. She often takes you to the library and holds you on her lap, just as she has since the beginning of your relationship, but now she appreciates these moments even more, it is an intimate and important time with her little family;
- She doesn't care about the gender of the baby and likes it to be a surprise, but she will bet with her sisters and her mother, they believe it will be a boy while the matriarch is totally sure that you are expecting a girl, Alcina is looking forward to being a grandmother and proud of Bela for being such a present, caring and protective alpha-mother;
- Lady Dimitrescu adores you and also takes care of your pregnancy, after all, you carry the next generation of the clan. She assigns two personal maidens to take care of your needs and to make sure you have a healthy diet, which is in vain as Bela doesn't leave your side and takes care of everything herself. When your back pain gets worse and stretch marks start to appear it is the countess who gets you herbs, remedies and ointments, as well as advising you during the stages of pregnancy;
- The baby has a room adjacent to your room, so she can protect you and the child at the same time. The whole family works on it, gradually it becomes fully furnished with everything needed to care for a newborn and decorated with all kinds of trinkets. Your wife wants everything to be red, even the layette and the end result is a red room with the furniture in gold details, the appearance is luxurious; (or it looks like a gryffindor room, sorry, I couldn't resist hahaha)
- There is a birth plan, Bela takes care of everything and when you complete seven months of pregnancy a midwife is hired, she stays 24 hours in the castle at your disposal for any emergency and until the moment of birth. Bela doesn't leave your side, she prepares the layette for the birth and reads several books and articles for when the time comes, the blonde usually jokes that she is theoretically more prepared than the midwife herself. When the contractions start and the waters break, she stays annoyingly calm and guides you, makes you exercise to help with the contractions, praises you at every stage and never stops telling you how proud she is;
- Childbirth is exhausting but every minute is better with your wife by your side, she is so proactive and intelligent, she doesn't leave the room at any time and doesn't let go of your hand until the baby is crying at the top of lungs in her lap."Mommy won the bet." She whispers as she cradles your daughter and gives you a kiss on the lips before thanking you for giving her Alicia Lucile Dimitrescu, affectionately nicknamed Luci.
Bonus:
The blonde alpha was completely charmed by her daughter and the little girl wanted no lap but hers. - She sure is an alpha, I can feel it. - she commented distractedly, caressing the baby's fluffy cheeks - And I can't wait to put another one inside you.
Cassandra Dimitrescu
- Cassandra avoids pregnancy at all costs, she is very strict about it and your birth control is regimented, making it clear from the beginning that you don't want to have children and that you will think about it only in the future. But alpha nature acts stronger and she usually knots you up regularly, unconcerned that you are taking suppressants and contraceptives, so many that at some point they lost their effect;
- In the first few weeks she noticed a different smell in your brand of mate, something sweeter and softer that she liked, the brunette couldn't tell or figure out why, coming to the conclusion that maybe it was just the heat hormones messing with her head. The matriarch of the family noticed immediately and figured you guys wanted to keep it private, the signs were so obvious that she didn't imagine you were oblivious to the little being growing between you, and at three months pregnant Lady Dimitrescu decided to give the first gift to her grandson or granddaughter. "It's for mini Cassandra." she commented happily, as you stand confused with the little yellow knitted coat made by herself in hands "Mom, that won't fit me." your wife's two sisters started to laugh uncontrollably "Not for you, idiot. For your child." Daniela managed to speak between loud giggles and the woman next to you widened her eyes before running off;
- You thought she was angry and set yourself up for an argument, from the beginning of the relationship she has made it clear that she doesn't want children and has always been so careful in that regard. Even you didn't understand how it could have happened and Alcina stayed to console you until her daughter came home, half an hour later she wanted to choke Cassandra and almost did, if it wasn't for Daniela saving the sister's neck. You were left alone in the bedroom and the brunette approached with an embarrassed look, there is no trace of anger, from inside the cloak she wears she takes out a small cuddly package, a teddy bear "I'm sorry, I didn't know how to react but we are in this together. Damn, it's a baby, my child that you are carrying and as unplanned as it may be it is our everything now. Everything will be okay, I promise." Cassandra is a proud and protective alpha, you are the most important thing to her and now the little baby too;
- The real reason she avoids motherhood so much is the fear that some enemy of her family or the villagers will hurt you and the child, she could never give you a normal life and it kills her inside, and she also doesn't want to share her mate with someone else, this includes children that take up all her time and attention. But as soon as she found out about the pregnancy it seems that all the jealousy she thought she would have was gone, in fact she was calmer because everyone would see that you were claimed and the baby growing is the greatest proof of your love. She doesn't want you to know because it may sound hypocritical but it is obvious her excitement at knowing you are going to have her child, the previously regular sex has become constant, she takes you at any time and is more than happy to satisfy your gestational libido, her hands always wrapped possessively around the little bump and sometimes she bites the re-claim mark again just to fix her scent on you more;
- Cassandra is secretly very artistic and this is a side that only you and her family know, simply being able to create fantastic paintings and even detailed sculptures, but she prefers to paint and will do so to record every stage of her pregnancy, looking forward to painting you with her baby on your lap soon;
- Like Alcina, she calls the baby by feminine pronouns and faithfully believes it to be a girl, no one dares to go against her. Although she feels and wants a girl, she would love to have a boy, the only thing that matters is that it is a strong and intelligent child, someone to teach everything she knows and carry on the family name;
- She wouldn't even let her family get too close to you, but her sisters are so protective and nanny-like that it is impossible to resist, they don't invade your personal space but help in any way they can. If you are in the mood for something to eat Bela will find a way to get or cook it, Dani likes to have long talks with the baby and it calms you down when you want to sleep or the back pains are too much, the matriarch of the family likes to give you expensive gifts and highlight how happy she is for the new addition, she also wanted to leave maidens at your disposal but Cassandra denied it, wanting to be responsible for your safety and provide for your needs by herself, she doesn't know how to pamper like the rest of her family but she has sweet and intimate moments. She usually sleeps cuddled so she can be with her hands on your belly protectively, she gives you daily massages to relieve pain and swelling, she keeps several drawings and doodles about you in her sketchbook and sometimes draws how she imagines your child will be, one of her favorite moments is when you are alone and she talks to your belly, the baby gets really fussy and loves to hear mom's voice;
- There is a room available to become the baby's room in the future, but she insists that for the first few months or at least for the first year the child sleeps in your room where you can easily care for and protect. She renovates your own room and turns one part into a small nursery with everything you need to care for a newborn and the crib is next to the double bed, she likes to decorate with various teddy bears, pillows and blankets as if she were making a nest for the little one to rest in;
- Cassandra doesn't know much about babies but soon tries to educate herself, she was scared by the whole section of the birth and made a plan for when the time comes, she knows it won't be easy and there could be complications if the baby has been infected by cadou, so even Mother Miranda is put on alert along with the maidens and the midwife. The brunette can't imagine being without you and becomes paranoid about the birth of the baby because it could put the two of you at risk, so she will do everything possible and impossible to make sure everything works out and you are safe. She has set an approximate date for the birth, just not expecting that an intimate moment could end in a messy bed and you moaning between pain and pleasure, before telling her that you think the baby is coming;
- Alcina and Cassandra accompany you during the birth, while Mother Miranda and the midwife are responsible for bringing the baby to safety. Your wife tries to be supportive but she is restless and curious, always questioning and trying to help in the process, which leads to her passing out for a few seconds next to you when she sees the baby's head crowning, soon regaining consciousness to continue the labor. She would cut the tongue out of anyone who tells about this brief moment, as an alpha she has to keep her posture, the same posture that completely falls apart when she holds the little child in her arms for the first time. Olimpia Dimitrescu wrapped her mother in her pinky as soon as she came into the world, after all, she is Mommy's little girl.
Bonus:
Pia, as your daughter has come to be called affectionately, loves attention and of course the whole family is willing to give it to her, especially the grandmother who was so proud of her middle daughte, who always charged too much and is now going her own way.
- She really is a mini Cassandra. - the countess said proudly with the baby in her lap and grabbed the brunette in a half hug with her free arm - And here we are three generations into the Dimitrescu family and I am sure she will be a strong alpha like us.
Daniela Dimitrescu
- She is carefree and doesn't usually think about children or contraceptives, Dani likes things to take their own course, if you are not on birth control it''s not a surprise that you get pregnant in a few months and a little scared because you have never talked about children before, it'-s not a subject she will bring up on her own;
- By the time you found out it was very noticeable, even the maidens noticed and everyone was already caring for the little addition to the family, but your wife never expressed anything about it, you just thought she was ignoring the existence of her own child or too angry to mention it. "Why are you crying?" she asked worriedly after hearing your crying from the other side of the castle "Uh, I... The baby is craving some rare meat but Bela told me that rare meat is bad for babies during pregnancy." she stood in shock for a few minutes and admired you in realization, Daniela lifted you off the ground and almost crushed your bones in a tight hug "Didn't you know?" the redhead denied and you could have sworn you saw her eyes water a little, then you realized there was no reason to be afraid because she loves you so much and now your baby too, but she's a little... slow;
- Daniela is like the rest of the Dimitrescu women, she will pamper you like hell and do all your wishes no matter what and when. She usually takes you for walks around the Dimitrescu estate or the forest, her hands always holding yours, she herself buys and chooses maternity clothes, gives you massages loving every second of this moment and bathes you with baths of salts and herbs, she is so loving and attentive in this period that she doesn't even look like the redhead that could sleep full of blood after a slaughter so sloppy, her alpha mode went into action as soon as she found out she would be a mother, she simply became careful, protective and clingy in a couple of days, trying to be the best alpha for her omega and the baby growing inside you;
- You were always two passionate and fiery lovers, at least until the pregnancy happened, she seemed to avoid you at first and when you were finally intimate again Dani didn't seem like the same woman, she suddenly became so sweet and soft during sex, as if you were made of glass. "What if I hurt you? Besides, the baby will know I'm... You know." you just rolled the eyes and said you would take care of your own, then figured out how to make her do what you want, no one touches what's hers and that includes yourself;
- She loves to make personal gifts and learned to knit so she could make little coats, caps and blankets for the baby, she also embroiders something cute or funny on most of the clothes, on one coat there is a little bloody sickle, it was bizarrely cute, there are also little shoes with small roses;
- Dani doesn't really care about gender and the pronouns vary from her mood or what she is excited about, some days she will just call the litter "little shit" for stepping on your bladder/not letting you sleep and other days she will call the child "my treasure" and "mini vampire", on these days she will purposefully cheer the baby up, they usually start a long conversation with Dani talking softly and the baby responding with kicks, at first it was cute but it can be hard to deal with a kicker;
- It is a fact that Daniela is Alcina's favorite and watching her baby become a mother is exciting, she can't wait to become a grandmother and wants to help in every aspect, she makes sure to be present at every appointment and always notes down name suggestions for the new addition to the Dimitrescu family, the redhead accepted the help of the maidens her mother made available during your pregnancy, not because she really needed help, let's face it she can lift you up with one arm, Dani would never admit out loud that she, an alpha of renown and strength, is afraid to be alone with her fully hormonal pregnant wife. Bela and Cassandra are very supportive during the process, they keep you company during the difficult times of pregnancy and make sure you and the baby have everything you want and need. This thrills Dani, she loves that her family is closer than ever before and everyone is happy for the arrival of your child;
- This girl is chaotic, she has had a thousand and one ideas, but none of them seem to work out, and you have to console your frustrated and dyed-in-the-wool wife, in the end the room is a chaotic mixture of colors and themes, just like an art studio. There are many teddy bears scattered about, she has become obsessed with them. Dani makes sure to buy all the furniture and decorations, she also does all the hard work and will just follow your orders, not wanting you to move a muscle. You are carrying her baby, you are her wife, her princess, and should be treated as such;
- She is still disorganized, although she improved a lot when she found out she was going to be a mother, so there is no such elaborate birth plan, but the midwife has already been chosen and the maids keep an eye on your every step in the last trimester of pregnancy, Daniela refuses to leave the castle for any appointment to avoid being away from you and, like a procrastinating student about to take an exam, she reads several books about pregnancy in the last months and starts freaking out remembering every single thing you have done wrong, afraid of harming the baby. A month before the due date you were walking in the garden at sunset, you didn't immediately notice the liquid oozing between your legs and were confused when you saw your wife freaking out, desperate;
- Dani quickly takes you to the quarters and the maidens start preparing everything for when the midwife arrives, which didn't take long, it was a considerably quick and quiet birth, the contractions were excruciating but were relieved by potions and it was all the more peaceful with such a cooperative and kind wife by your side, she doesn't mind the crumpled hand, the swearing and cursing, she is extremely happy when the little red haired being comes into the world thanks to you. Daniela cried when she held Dorian Dimitrescu for the first time, the next ten times as well.
Bonus:
Alcina never thought she would love a man other than her own father, but she has simply fallen in love at first sight with her grandson and he has become her little world, the countess is truly a drooling grandmother.
- Mom, I want to hold my son.
- You already did today, Daniela. Now it's my turn to take care of him. - Dimitrescu whispered in order not to wake up the newborn and continued walking while nestling the boy wrapped in the blanket.
You just watched the two of them fighting for little Dorian's attention and started laughing at your wife who keeps running behind her mother. It's funny and cute.

Fire Emblem Fates: Reclass Relation to Characters
Had this in the drafts, so I thought to finish it. All of it is under the cut.
Azura, Ryoma, Sakura: Sky Knight. The Hoshidan fam’s genetic class to tie them together is Sky Knight. Since Azura grew up with the fam, she has this class, too. Could also represent Ryoma’s serenity, Azura’s grace, and Sakura’s purity.
Hinoka: Spear Fighter. Hinoka is a prominent example of Hoshido’s strict societal gender roles (before it was washed over in localization), and naginata were the common weapons that housewife warriors used to defend the household in historical Japan. Is also likely representative of her naginata training before becoming a Sky Knight.
Takumi: Spear Fighter. The family black sheep is the only one who doesn’t have Sky Knight. Wants to surpass Ryoma in any way possible, so he’s apt in the naginata as well to get an advantage. Could also represent his stubbornness, his patriotism (since Spear Master always has the Hoshidan Flag accessory), and his connection to Hinoka as well.
Xander, Elise: Wyvern Rider. The Nohr fam’s genetic class to tie them together is Wyvern Rider. Could also represent Xander’s immense canonical strength, and Elise’s tenacity.
Camilla: Dark Mage. Most likely represents her dark past within the Nohrian court. Might also imply that she was an original contender for inheriting Brynhildr, and/or that her mother was proficient in magic as well.
Leo: Troubadour. The lonely genius child is detached from his family, so he doesn’t get Wyvern Rider. Leo has huge issues with his masculinity (this was more apparent in the JP version) that compounds with his fear of ‘shaming’ the family, so he gets the traditionally girly class. Also, he represents the series’ traditional Troubadour that falls for a sibling, with Camilla being his first crush and his S support with Corrin revealing he started feeling that way for her as well.
Felicia: Mercenary. A natural talent on the battlefield. Also represents how she defects from whatever side necessary for her to stay loyal to Corrin.
Jakob: Cavalier. Corrin’s personal retainer, and most retainers in the series are of the Cavalier line. Was also personally trained by Gunter.
Kaze, Saizo: Samurai. Samurai in history represent unwavering loyalty to the master they dedicate themselves too. Could also reference how they were trained in the same way at the same time by the same person since they’re twins.
Silas: Mercenary. Mercs are guided by self interest over loyalty to country, so it makes sense why he chooses Corrin over Nohr.
Shura: Ninja, Fighter. Kohga was famous for its ninja, and it was probably his original class. Fighter represents how he was forced to live a life of banditry in Nohr after being rejected from Hoshido.
Izana: Samurai, Apothecary. Samurai could imply his strict adherence and devotion to his Kingdom’s tradition of neutrality and aversion to violence. Apothecary relates him to his fortune telling, since divination in Hoshido is related to potions, fortunes, and ingredient based practices.
Mozu: Archer. She’s an incredibly skilled hunter.
Rinkah: Ninja. Prefers keeping to herself due to her clan’s policy of isolationism.
Hana: Shrine Maiden. Connects her to Sakura and could also be relevant to her status as a noble. May also be a sign of her more feminine interests that contrast her tomboy lifestyle.
Subaki: Samurai. His family has served the royal family for generations, and samurai pride themselves on being loyal to their masters. Could also represent his adherence to his family’s strict teachings with regards to him being perfect.
Orochi: Apothecary. Proficient in potions and salves, especially since Hoshidan divination makes use of those.
Azama: Apothecary. The best dealer in Hoshido /s Since apothecaries lead into the merchant class, this represents his grounded absurdist approach to life that juxtaposes his religious upbringing and class. Could also imply a proficiency with medicine due to him being a healer.
Setsuna: Ninja. Her absentmindedness translates to a unknowing talent to conceal her presence, making her a better hunter and was outright noted in her supports with both Kaze and Ryoma.
Hayato: Oni Savage. Insecure about being seen as just a kid, so of course he has the buff manly man class as a secondary. May also represent a connection to Fuga’s wild influence, or to his being native to a tribe.
Oboro: Apothecary. Born to a a family of merchants. Also has an odd temperament.
Hinata: Oni Savage. Uncouth, unkempt, and always looking for a fight.
Kagero: Diviner. Has the class of Orochi, her best friend. Could also represent Kagero’s distinct taste in art and other aesthetics.
Reina: Diviner, Ninja. The classes of Mikoto’s fellow retainers, Orochi and Kagero. The former may also symbolize her noble status, and the latter may symbolize her obsession with death since ninjas in Fates are akin to assassins.
Kaden: Diviner. Kitsune are mystical creatures in Japanese myth, possessing spiritual and paranormal powers.
Scarlet: Outlaw, Knight. The former symbolizes how she rebelled against Nohr, the latter represents how Cheve is renowned for producing skilled knights.
Yukimura: Samurai, Monk. He shares the classes of the two people he was closest to, Sumeragi and Mikoto.
Gunter: Mercenary, Wyvern Rider. Mercenary can represent his status as an incredibly skilled fighter and lacking loyalty to Garon. Wyvern Rider can represent his strength and the surprisingly cruel ambitions he had in mind after Garon ruined his life.
Arthur: Cavalier. The typical ‘hero look’ in most fairy tales involve a sword wielding knight on a noble steed.
Effie: Troubadour. To contrast her strength and bulky class, she actually has a delicate, gentle demeanor... At least, she did UNTIL TREEHOUSE RUINED IT, UGHHHHH-
Odin: Samurai. Not native to Nohr and was originally a sword wielder.
Niles: Dark Mage. Has a turbulent past and a sadistic worldview.
Nyx: Outlaw. She’s an actual criminal on the run.
Selena: Sky Knight. Not native to Nohr, and symbolizes her ever present connection to her mother.
Beruka: Fighter. Grew up as a thug in the Nohrian slums.
Laslow: Ninja. Not native to Nohr. Being a dancer, his movements are quick and precise. Could also symbolize his shy attitude whenever he feels uncomfortable.
Peri: Dark Mage. Terrible past that resulted in her becoming a serial killer with a vicious, childlike morality.
Benny: Fighter. In spite of his best efforts, this gentle giant has the face of a thug. Therefore he gets the class of one, too.
Charlotte: Troubadour. Can flip between her vulgar, brutish side and her cutesy, flirty side at the drop of a hat, so it makes sense she has a class typically associated with femininity.
Keaton: Fighter. Werewolves are savage beasts who usually kill people with brute strength more often than any kind of mythical powers.
Flora: Dark Mage, Mercenary. The former is the class of her father, and can be said to represent her dark feelings of jealousy, inadequacy, and self-hatred. The latter symbolizes her skilled nature with most tasks, connects her to Felicia, and signifies her status as a betrayer.
Fuga: Oni Savage, Monk. The former represents his love of fighting as a way to test people, the latter represents his wisdom and spirituality.
Anna: Troubadour, Apothecary. The former represents her utilitarianism, the latter represents her merchant lifestyle.
The 2nd Gen inherits classes from their parents, but some have distinct exceptions.
Shigure: Sky Knight, Troubadour. He starts as a Sky Knight because that’s Azura’s secondary class, and symbolizes his connection with Hoshido. Troubadour was Arete’s class, and is also the parallel class of Songstress.
Midori: Apothecary. Kaze’s willingness to help people resulted in a daughter who does the exact same with medicine. Could also symbolize how making Kaze medicine would be an excuse to spend time with him, and help keep him safe if her medicines are effective. May also be a neat reference to how Kaze’s first action as a playable unit was giving Corrin a vulnerary.
Shiro: Spear Fighter. Wants to kick his dad’s ass and chose the naginata to do it, with all that 4th wall, meta goodness.
Forrest: Troubadour. Unlike his father who’s ashamed of his femininity, Forrest embraces his.
Percy: Wyvern Rider. Arthur gave Percy a Wyvern egg so he wouldn’t be lonely in his deeprealm! Mega cute!

I think something low-key funny in the faller gene au is the fact that they had twins in the first place. Because from what I remember (and I can't stress enough how long it's been since I learned about this stuff), while being more likely to have twins is something that can run in a family, it's very much dependent on the mother.
So while I don't really think Zisu necessarily has that gene in her family, I do headcanon that it runs in Ingos (I think the bloodline of the legendary twins being prone to having twins is just dope. Also the genetics thing is for fraternal twins so Ingo and Emmet being identical is still just as uncommon in their family as in others) and despite it really not mattering in the case of his kids, he and Zisu managed to have twins anyways.
Ingo just looking at his two newly born twin children, and suddenly getting the faintest snippet of memory- of himself and the man in white as children, each wearing matching clothes. Ah, he thinks to himself... they were twins. That makes sense. He always thought their faces seemed very similar.
But I just love the idea of Ingo (or Emmet!) having twins! It's just cute to me. Especially if between them they have one set of fraternal twins and one set of identical twins. Both options unlocked! Everyone wins!
#asks#faller gene au#good thing zisu is zisu though bc giving birth to twins in ye olde hisui must be ROUGH#especially since they would have no way of knowing she's having twins until she actually has them

@kinnoth hehe hello! i remember when the news dropped thinking 'omg skjdf my fave thorki meta writer who also loved sekiro is gonna be so thrilled' so imagine my surprise that it just didn't land for you!
i totally see your point too though, i do think fs didn't really build it up at all before the dlc dropped, if they were indeed intending to do this all along - if it was, as is said, grrm's plan from the beginning. there's always been a lot of responsibility on the fanbase to make sense of the story and connect the dots in fs games, elden ring even more than bloodbourne or ds (imo) just because of the sheer size of the world and number of npcs involved in the story + the fact that it has multiple endings. but even knowing going into it that we were gonna have to get a shovel and dig and polish, it does still really feel like we came out with a pile of gold labeled 'dlc content only'. i am sure over time we're gonna see youtube video essays with like 'THIS obscure item hints that there was a possible connection between raya lucaria and the haligtree all along!!!' and it's like... yeah, man... they were siblings. they all knew each other, of course things might hint at their knowing each other. but there wasn't anything hinting that radahn and miquella had some kind of long-standing formal marriage contract! i can use logic to connect the dots in a way that doesn't contradict canon, but that's not the same as having things in-game that support my reading. all i can do is say 'well there's no reason this COULDN'T be true, so.... maybe...' and that sucks to build a ship on. i'm still gonna do it though. i am too much of a sucker for weird codependent brocon couples with heavy-handed mythological themes and sprinkles of the effects of toxic parenting and imperialism. which describes exactly one other ship ever, but it's fun that it happened twice.
re beast radahn: i wonder if anyone has tried bringing miquella's great rune to malenia's two fingers to see if they share a pair like the omen brothers do. if his great rune is unable to be activated by her two fingers, then he must either have his own pair or else he has somehow in the process of divesting himself of his flesh and fate changed the makeup and abilities of his rune. it's frustrating not to know! if miquella's two fingers exist (and aren't malenia's) they would be somewhere in the lands between and the dlc (afaik) didn't give us any new lands between areas to explore - meaning if we didn't find them in the base game, we won't ever find them. miquella's great rune is also a reusable item unlike everyone else's runes, so once again unclear if it's because he's somehow special or because fs chose to do something weird.
the reason i bring all that up is because iirc, ranni's shadowbound beast was given to her by her two fingers and approved by rennala. if miq didn't have a pair, or his pair was dead or mia in some way, or his pair just... decided not to give him a beast for some reason (perhaps assuming he was too weak to ever be a threat to his mother, or that he didn't have a divine fate to disobey and therefore didn't need someone to keep him in line) or even that he and malenia would be presumed to inherit malekith since they were genetically perfect copies of marika, then i don't know if radahn as a shadowbound beast makes sense...
however, the more i think about it, the more i am actually obsessed with the idea. it makes me wonder if the cause for radahn's madness was ever confirmed to be scarlet rot or if that was just the assumption, because if he WAS miquella's (and maybe malenia's) beast, there's a chance he went mad the way blaidd did at the exact moment that the two fingers realized miquella had let himself be kidnapped from the haligtree in order to usurp his mother. that gives another reason why the twins (and possibly radahn) felt they had to kill and resurrect radahn rather than just having him agree to marry miquella whenever would be convenient. if they all always knew that at some point he was gonna lose it and they'd have to do something about it one way or another, it paints the caelid fight in a very interesting light.
i am absolutely gonna be turning this over in my mind... if nothing else, it's good au fodder.
The fuckin garbage thing is that radahn/miquella should have been a use-the-force-luke guided missile right up my specific fucking alley, I mean:
- fatalistic ideologue + devoted vassal? 👍
- literal star crossed lovers?? 👍👍
- gods cursed to fates they simultaneously strive for and yet do not fully understand???? 👍👍👍
- brotherfuckers?????? 😮
And yet there is so little substance to this ship that I can't even make up something to do with it. It's just. A dead end of zero buildup, zero interactions, zero environmental details, just a couple item descriptions that are totally exclusive to the AU bubble of the DLC and not foreshadowed or hinted at anywhere else
Like it would not have been difficult to include .... Literally anything that tied radahn personally to miquella in the base game. Give him a single haligtree crest on his armour somewhere, have him use even one of miquella's miracles, sneak in there somewhere that he's got mysterious beef with mohg, have him wearing a golden lock of mystery hair in his-- like, fromsoft, this is literally your whole deal, this is the reason your games have a whole category of games named after them, if you are not supposed to be the kings of environmental storytelling, who the fuck is?
Like I still cannot reconcile the HUGE FUCKIN PLOTHOLE that is radahn NOT throwing the fight with malenia. Like if he was a willing participant in this 5D chessmaster plan, surely the whole point of the whole war was that radahn ACTUALLY DIES at malenia's hand. But he doesn't fucking die. Radahn resists malenia for real and he doesn't fucking die. He does not throw the fight, he does not let her kill him. Like how are we supposed to reconcile that very concrete plot point with "radahn agreed to die so he could be miquella's consort"? He didn't fucking die!
Headcanon: everything related to radahn in the DLC is miquella's propaganda campaign to paint a pretty story ahead of his ascension to godhood and radahn's forcible ascension as his elden lord

Twst Species headcannons
Beastmen:
-Palms and bottoms of their feet are rougher and more padded, as well as a slightly darker shade than their normal skin tone
-Legs are built similar to the hind legs of animals (with the sharp angles and little bumps)
-Start “walking” as children on all fours because it’s more comfortable due to the way their legs are built
-Many have scars under their bottom lip due to accidentally biting it bc their fangs were longer after losing their baby teeth
-Similarly, they also have small scars across various parts of their bodies due to their claws
-They can see in the dark to an extent
-Their eyes also do the glowy thing in the dark, as well as on camera
-Beastmen have very thick and coarse hair, which makes it notoriously harder to cut
-Many lion beastmen especially do not cut their hair often, as their hair symbolizes strength within their communities
-Cutting ones hair is a sign of trust in beastmen communities, considering how guarded they are with who touches their head (Patting a beastman’s head is a quick and easy way for them to get their guard down, and it takes them off high alert) as well as their ears being within constant danger near scissors.
-Beastmen do shed, a lot, like, a lot a lot
-They have been known to growl and purr like their animal counterparts, as well as hunch their backs and snarl when threatened
-Baby beastmen will bite you, as a sign of affection. They also wrestle with their caretakers from a young age to show affection as well. Grown beastmen will let the younger beastman win, regardless of species
-They also play wrestle with mates and potential mates to show their interest and affection. Not too hard, but enough to jostle the mate around. They will be absolutely smitten if the mate does it back.
-Beastmen grow up using the same sounds their animal counterparts do, as its similar to being taught a first language that the rest of your family speaks. Most aren’t taught English (Or commonspeak since England is nonexistent in Twisted Wonderland) until later in life
-Beastmen can understand similar dialects and tones of other species, and can further understand and speak a little bit of other beastmen languages
-They cannot eat certain foods that their mother species can’t. Canine beastmen cannot eat chocolate, onions, etc, feline beastmen cannot eat onions, garlic, grapes, etc etc without having issues afterwards. (This makes them a target for pranksters on NRC’s campus. Ex: The incident of Heartslabyul’s Ace Trappola switching out all the tea for coffee during the unbirthday party and Chenya unfortunately missing the cues and drinking the whole cup)
-They are very territorial to anyone besides the clan they reside with. The only people they aren’t territorial with are young children, although they are on high alert if the child’s guardian is nearby
-Beastmen will adopt a child if they see it doesn’t have a clan to stay with, regardless of species. It’s not unheard of to see a beastchild of another species or a young human in beastman clans
-I saw a hc that said that Rook is mixed beastman/human so I’m gonna roll with that for the next one: Beastmen and human mixed babies can have the same attributes as beastmen but on a tamer scale. Their vision, hearing, sense of touch and smell could be higher than a human’s but not as high as a beastmans. The ears and tail are the more dominant gene but it’s not uncommon to see a mixed beastmen/human child with more human features
-Beastmen grow larger than most humans, with the average beastmen (under the right conditions) ranging around six ft at full height. Female hyena beastmen grow taller than their male counterparts
Mer:
-They’re hypersensitive to sunlight at first and have to wear sunglasses or something shading their eyes their first few weeks on land
-They also get dehydrated very easily even in human form, so they have to carry around water bottles
-Their skin dries out quickly, so their hands and feet especially will be very dry and potentially cracking unless they moisturize often
-They have a lot of back and leg pain because they’re not used to gravity pulling them down
-Can also see in the dark very well due to living at the bottom of the ocean
-Their hair is also very thin and silky, but separated into thick chunks, almost looking like scales from a distance. Furthermore most Mer don’t like having longer hair due to the amount of effort it takes to maintain it, with currents twisting it up and the high chances of it getting stuck between rocks and coral
-Most mer have the habit of picking up whatever’s nearby and eating it raw, due to the fact that their bodies can process it. It’s not uncommon to see a mer picking a crab off the side of their house and plopping it into their mouth.
-They have no problem with eating the fish they are associated with, and they do not consider it cannibalism since they aren’t exactly the same species. (Meaning the Tweels can eat eel and Azul can eat octopus without any problems)
-Baby mer can swim around at a very young age (from just a few days old), and mature faster than most other species in the first few weeks of their lives
-Azul has horizontal, rectangular pupils
-Aside from cecaelia, most mer do have slanted pupils that change shape depending on the danger in the area.
-Mer communicate under the water using clicks and chitters similar to echolocation, and could choose to not learn commonspeak as they don’t interact with humans as much as beastmen
-They are born with teeth and can eat smaller fish from birth (or hatching, depending on the species)
-They’re not mammals, so they don’t have nips I think
-They don’t choose to wear clothing or accessories unless it’s for a formal event or a family heirloom
-Back to the birth thing I think mer eggs are very easy to lose due to the harsh climate of the ocean. Many mer settle for only having a child or two due to how hard it is to raise a child there. Jade and Floyd also hatched from the same egg, meaning they were on the smaller side as babies
-Mer babies also bite to show affection, and will wrap their tail around their guardians when they feel scared or nervous
-Cecaelia babies are well known for sticking to their guardians for the first few weeks of their lives, and are very difficult to pry off due to the strength of their tentacles (And when they do theres little marks left across their backs, stomachs, shoulders, etc from the suction cups) (I’m sorry i cant stop picturing tired momma ashengrotto walking around w little marls on her and baby azul still stuck to her like 👁👁)
-I know this is a little far fetched and is nowhere near mentioned in the game or comic but I have a feeling the tweels have a hard time seeing out of their gray eye? Like coming from the same egg they maybe took some features from the other or they had a difficult development while in there (or maybe I just know nothing abt twins)
-Incredibly territorial, especially towards members of different species.
-Most mer have skin pigmented similar to their tail color as well as thick layers of scales (if their species permits) around their throats, their sides, their arms, and around their ear fins (It throws me off how Azul and the Tweels are the only ones with different skin tones- like you’re telling me you have two teal mer and a black and white mer but the guards at the museum had just blue tails and absolutely no other signs of being a mer??? Give us green Rielle pls and thx)
-Mer grow much larger than humans and beastmen, and don’t stop growing until their twenties.
-They also have markings on their torso, tail, and face that’s similar to others in their families. Normally you can tell which mer is from which family depending on the markings said mer has
-Similar to beastmen tails and ears, mer can be read by their fins. In extreme emotion, mer’s fins will flare out or flatten against their body when they feel threatened.
-They don’t know how to drink things when they get to the surface. I think they’d struggle with the idea since you can’t drink underwater or else the liquid will go everywhere (but then how’d Azul make those potions???)
Fae:
-Also hypersensitive to sunlight, which results in many fae being nocturnal.
-Older fae have been known to go days without any sleep with little to no repercussions. Younger fae have more difficulty with this.
-They have a stronger immunity to magic, and often potions crafted by them are well known to be more potent due to this fact
-Fae speak many languages, with many smaller species talking in little chirps and bell like noises, with bigger species talking in low growls and hissing noises. Fae on opposite sides of this cannot understand each other, but each species of small fae can understand other small fae, and larger ones can understand other large ones, even if there’s a difference in language.
-All of them can practice transformation magic without the use of a spell or potion, regardless of genetic makeup. It’s not uncommon to see large dragons or other reptiles walking the streets of the Valley pf Thorns, nor is it too uncommon to see small “floods” or floating fire balls in more secluded areas of the woods
-Fae grow the largest out of all the groups, but have control over their size due to their transformation magic. They don’t stop growing until they appear the same age as thirty (but is actually a much longer time considering their lifespans)
-Because of this fae take much longer to mature from birth/hatching (I like to think 1 normal year= 80~ years) (So An 80 y/o fae would only be equal to a one year old in any other species)
-Very reserved in their relationships with other fae and especially species. I think the cultural differences between other fae is enough to create a large gap between them, and most fae understand the difference in life span between them and other species, so they actively go out of their way to avoid forming relationships with them. (I feel like this is a part of why Sebek is so abrasive towards humans. I mean, his life span has to be different even if he’s only half, so he might be using his anger to deflect his own feelings about eventually having to lose his human father and Silver, as much as they bicker. Poor guys just in denial and trying to protect himself :(()
Human:
-Humans who grew up around magic users have more resilience to magic and potions (meaning Mc/Yuuken, who grew up in a world without magic at all, is more susceptible and will be effected longer by the side affects of potions and spells, or the spells will pack more of a punch and be potentially more dangerous)(Meaning they could take a sleeping potion meant to give the user a full nights rest and be out for a week straight)
-The chances of a human’s unique magic leaning in one direction depends on the area they live in and what resources they have available (I can’t think of anyone else’s unique magic who does this but Kalim’s oasis maker is a big example. He mentioned they had difficulty getting water on the Land of the Hot Sands so maybe that could have been a factor that altered the makeup of his magic. Like a demand and supply type deal?)
-Magical human’s pupils also change shape when they’re using their magic. I like to think that whenever it’s being used their pupils are blown wide to the point where you can hardly see their actual eye color
-Either that or their eyes glow
-Magic using humans are typically stronger, but have lower endurance than non magic users. This is due to the strain that’s put on their bodies even when magic isn’t in use. There are potions they can use to lessen these effects, and many choose to naturally boost their endurance through various activities, but they have to work harder than non magic using humans

May I request some La Squadra childhood headcanons (upbringing/family/habits/demeanor) :)) Maybe Mista and Abbacchio too if it’s not too much trouble since we already saw a bit of baby Bruno and it made me so curious about the other two! I always imagined Abbacchio to be a bit of a teacher’s pet as a kid lol. Your writing brings me life tysm!!!!
warnings for abusive family, human experimentation, misogyny, illness, hospitals, death, etc!
Risotto’s family did not care much about him. He’s the middle child of five - they grew up in a rural part of Sicily, in a house that used to be a farmhouse but was merely a house by the time Risotto came along (aside from a flock of chickens constantly in the gardens). He had a traditional Italian family full of people - various aunts, uncles and cousins - but his cousin was his favourite, seeing in Risotto’s quiet nature something similar to his own. Risotto was uncomfortable with there being too many people around and found his home life cramped and uncomfortable and loud. At the local village school he was often hunted out for games of sport (his height and muscle growing in at an early age), but he shied away from making friends, not sure how to handle himself around people who shouted and laughed, envying his siblings for everything seeming so natural. He often stayed with the cousin, and it’s through them he discovered metal music and his now signature look. His parents didn’t have time for him, but his cousin always did, becoming a makeshift father figure where Risotto’s failed. He grew very attached, and as we know, his cousins death hit him hard.
Formaggio grew up with a single father; his mother simply disappeared in the middle of the night and he never heard from her again. He was always loud, brash and cocky - his father was much the same way. They moved around from place to place, his father taking odd jobs to sustain them and never really getting the hang of them. His father was fairly young and a perpetual teenager, and Formaggio was much the same way. Despite living in occasional poverty, he always had a smile and he and his father were close to one another. He did not really make friends - other children were aware of his unwashed clothes, the fact his lunch was not made as neatly as theirs, the fact that his address was a one-bedroom apartment on the bad side of town - so he turned to acting out and violence, gaining a reputation as a Badly Behaved Child. His father fell into Passione in the need to support his son, and like father like son, Formaggio followed in his footsteps at fourteen (finding a camaraderie and sense of responsibility he never had at school and subsequently just stopping going there).
Illuso got into Passione for the money and the power. He was an only child and he had a nice upbringing, honestly - he just found himself not special at anything, and he desperately wanted to be. He flitted from hobby to hobby and interest to interest; he was clever and he noticed things, and neither of his parents really knew how to deal with their sharp-tongued child. He was a bit of a bully at school, but not the kind that is ever found out - Illuso’s bullying was quieter than that, whispered words and rumours that never seemed to find their way back to him. He was well-acquainted with blackmail before he turned sixteen. He knew how to sniff out weaknesses in other people - he was always surrounded by people, but it was a lottery as to whether they liked Illuso or whether they just didn’t want to be on his wrong side. Always willing to volunteer for things, too confident for his own good - eventually, he stopped caring about being ‘special’ at something, and just worked on being the ‘best around him’.
Melone’s backstory can be found here. Both of his parents were academics and lecturers in genetic science, and he’s the eldest child by eight years. His family moved around rather a lot. He has two younger sets of twins as siblings; one set of boys, and one set of girls. Growing up, his parents considered him less interesting and a little slow - he turned to science and genetics as a way to get their attention and praise; despite the fact he showed a natural affinity for it, by this time, they were far more interested in experimenting on their younger children and Melone was ignored. His nature is curious and insistent - he learnt to insist or to be ignored. He had to look after his younger siblings a lot growing up; they were home-schooled where he was not, and the strange separation of them and him and all of the children at school (Melone not quite fitting into either group) meant that he always seemed just a little off.
Prosciutto is a mafia man through and through. His family are entrenched in old bloodlines and uninvestigated deaths - unfortunately, though, they are a family that had somewhat fallen from grace by Prosciutto’s birth. The definition of faded glamour and keeping up appearances; rooms in a big, drafty old house that have an old bed and a falling apart dressing table. His father always talked to him about how it was his and his brothers’ job to keep the bloodline going - a traditional chauvinist of a man. His mother was very quiet and pretty; she encouraged him to small interests like old music and fashion, but was always silent around her husband. He grew up knowing his life was expendable. Youngest son of two; his elder brother died within months of finally being given his assignment within Passione and honestly, Prosciutto knows his father would rather he have died. A quiet little boy who did not make friends (he had a tutor) and had too much of the weight of the world on his shoulders in the knowledge of how many of his mother’s jewels were pasteboard, where the guns were kept, and just how many people he saw regularly were murderers. At his assignment at sixteen, Prosciutto had to learn exactly how to blend in, because many of the mafiosos he was suddenly surrounded by did not appreciate what they saw as his superiority.
Pesci was an only child of a single mother; his father passed away when he was young. He was rather sickly growing up, and it made his mother indulgent - despite growing up fairly middle class, he never wanted for anything, and they lived well beyond their means. His mother fussed over him, always afraid that he was going to have a relapse into his childhood illness - very much a child wrapped in cotton wool. It gave him his own complex about taking risks; he didn’t want to get hurt. He didn’t want to be rejected by other children. He was slow at his schoolwork but devoted to his mother, and other children saw him as a prime target to bully. He was kicked around a lot at school and it eventually made him too easy to subdue when he suddenly filled out and shot up and became a threat; found himself, too often, a henchman to more articulate, meaner children. Grateful to be accepted, he went along with the flow, despite feeling in the very core of his gut that he was disgusted by them. He ended up in Passione because his mother needed medical treatment and in trying to sort it out realised just how much debt they were in.
Ghiaccio just had a normal run-of-the-mill described as ‘average’ by everyone upbringing - both of his parents, an only child, a mother with a professional job, middle-class. His father was partially deaf - in my experience, people with deaf parents either speak very loudly or very quietly, and Ghiaccio has gone for the former. He learnt LIS at a very early age, and it’s part of the reason he can be so anal about pronunciation and language as a whole - he’s utterly fascinated by it, and that fascination started in early childhood. His parents were also indulgent of him, but having a younger brother meant that he didn’t get the full brunt of that indulgence - his brother was a little more of a ‘rough and tumble’ boy. He liked football and weights, and when he took up a sport Ghiaccio’s parents decided Ghiaccio should learn to do something too and asked him what he thought - they were surprised when he said ice skating, but figured he would go into ice hockey or something. He didn’t. For a while, he was fairly well-known in the competitive figure skating under eighteens circuit. It gave him two things; one, a competitive need to win and be good at things (and a propensity to tantrum when he lost) and two, a taste for flashy, expensive things (have you seen this man’s car). His parents eventually didn’t know how to deal with his arrogance, and he fell into Passione based on a ‘sponsor’ he ended up embroiled with at nineteen when his parents didn’t want to fund his ‘hobby’ anymore (they kept pouring resources into his younger brother, of course - Ghiaccio always felt a bit like they didn’t take him seriously). He left ice skating competitively behind, but he couldn’t leave behind the nice things or the anger issues he accrued.
I’ve written about Sorbet and Gelato’s childhood/backstory here! But a brief, shorter version:
Gelato had a loving family and a privileged upbringing. Always enough money, always enough to eat - an only child, who perhaps was a little rowdy at school but whomst his parents were very proud of. Both of them were traditional types; thinks a man should be strong, should be the real driving force of all relationships - they were extremely proud of him going into the army. Cleverer than people tend to give him credit for, sharp-eyed, a constant humming need to be doing something with his hands.
Sorbet was orphaned at a young age in a house fire and taken in by a church orphanage. He’s quiet but equally clever; his cleverness tends to be a little less in your face. He was a comforting presence to other people and took care of the younger boys (even now, he feels a sense of duty to some of La Squadra) - being low-voiced, soothing and commanding. He spent a lot of time reading. The church orphanage was poor; Sorbet has learnt to appreciate luxury where Gelato takes it for granted and it’s part of the reason he’s so concerned with finances even in his forties.
Abbacchio grew up in a houseful of women. His father left when he was still young; he was . . . not a nice man, and Abbacchio has vague memories of his mother carefully applying concealer over black eyes. It’s part of the reason Abbacchio became a police officer - knowing that he was still out there, not paying for what he’d done . . . Abbacchio wanted to ensure other people did not go through it. He had a little sister (by six years) who adored him, and his grandmother (who had once been an opera singer and still had a touch of that old-time glamour). He was fairly well off; at least, after he and his mother went to live with her mother again. His grandmother was EXTREMELY indulgent of her serious pretty-eyed grandson (his affinity for opera comes from her) who wanted so hard to be a Good Man. He was made fun of as a child for being a teacher’s pet and a nerd, you’re right - he adopted being a goth and dressing like that fairly early in his life. Nobody was going to threaten to punch him in leather and black lipstick, he thought - and nobody, too, needed to know that his CD player was blasting Monteverdi and not heavy metal.
Mista was the only child of an unreliable mother and a father who left when he was four (he kept very vaguely in touch; Mista has three little sisters who he sees occasionally but keeps quiet about his employ to. After the events of VA, he’s established a fund for each of them, but he wasn’t really permitted to see them much growing up). Even after his parents leaving and his neighbour’s loss of an eye (and the subsequent setting in of his fear of the number four), he was an easy-going child who made friends easily and smiled at all and sundry; he was never particularly book-clever, but he was good-natured and had many friends. His mother’s lack of reliability meant that he became very fond of simple things other people took for granted - when she died, he was sad, but his life did not change much. He’d already learnt to fend for himself when it came to food and the like; often coming home to an empty house and simply making do. (The lack of food in the house is part of the reason he gained such an affinity for things he saw as luxuries like wines and cheeses). He learnt to use his dark eyes and charming smile and warm nature to win sleepovers with schoolfriends and evening meals with their parents. Always a little bit behind his peers in having cool gadgets or interesting stories, Mista was content just to have a simple life and good health.

For the “if they had a kid” thing... you know me so here it is: Emma and August. I really REALLY had to drop my ask. Also you already used one of my fave names for any Pinocchio child, how did you know??? Jojo (I’m not here, not really sadly, just passing by for a way too short moment♥️)
SADGSKJAFJAJGKFJJ hello to you too, you absolute terror 💞 don't worry, even a small appearance like this is an extremely pleasant surprise to receive...even if you ARE a danger to society, yes.
If They Had A Kid Meme
Okay, you know what Charming genetic trait didn't show up properly in his family tree? No, not the True Love thing - the fact that he was a twin! Neither of his children is a twin, and neither is any of Emma's own kids, or Henry's daughter, and while my biology grades were underwhelming to say the least, I know that familiarity plays some part in all kinds of multiples. And anyway this show makes no sense in anything it does AND these would be the offspring of an overgrown puppet and a fairytale princess, so at the end of the day, I don't give a shit.
Name: Olivia and Hazel Swan-Booth (yeah, sorry, Amelia la strega che ammalia was already taken in this meme hsagdhagf)
Gender: Female (monozygotic twins)
General Appearance: Dark hair, blue eyes, tall for their age.
Personality: They're both pretty quiet and reserved, but they make friends easily and are generally well-liked. The main difference is that upon being slighted, Olivia is more of the "revenge is best served cold" school of thought, while Hazel will take the matter in her own hands and she will do it IMMEDIATELY.
Special Talents: See, remember when we were first talking on Ao3 and pondered on August having some kid scattered somewhere around the world, conceived during his wild years? And we said that it would be fun if they had some sort of truth/lie related sixth sense? Wouldn't it be even more likely with Emma as their mother, since she has a whole ass superpower that sees through lies? What I'm getting to is, how fucked up would it be to be your average Storybrooke citizen and be confronted on the regular by identical little girls who either can make you believe anything or will never let you get away with anything but the truth? Just some food for the thought.
Who they like better: Henry. Sure, their dad is fun and their mom is badass, but how could they ever compare to an absolutely batshit chaotic big brother that's so much older than them?
Who they take after more: Physically August, but they have Emma's willful streak and "give her a piece of my mind kind of girl" attitude. The stubborness is a shared trait in both family lines, though, so who knows where it comes from in them.
Personal Headcanon: They have DEFINITELY swapped places to help in their shenanigans at some point, and mostly got away with it because they're usually well-behaved enough to wave away all suspicions. Their parents can reliably tell them apart, but others...others really don't * grandpa David and Archie have entered the chat *
Face Claim:
Devin France in Wendy (yes, the sneak reading scene was a conscious choice on my part <3 just like writer dad and Author stepbrother)
#jojo asks#ask meme#ouat#wooden swan#emma swan#august booth#it's not really my main ship for either of them as you very well know#but still...it's fun to dream#and I need to contribute with at least SOME august content every now and then

Gabriel Agreste is the Sentimonster Theory
Ok, so we've all seen the Adrien is a sentimonster theories, but I got to theorizing and Gabriel is, in my opinion, the more likely sentimonster.
Think of what we know about sentimonsters: They're created from an emotion with a specific purpose. They are just as complex and have feelings like a normal human.
Gabriel is single-minded in his pursuit to bring Emilie back. It's basically all he does, save for a few appearances and some designing. We can infer that Emilie is in her coma/death/stasis because she was using the broken peacock miraculous. It's not entirely clear what broke the miraculous*, but we can assume that Master Fu dropping it in an area that was later consumed by lava could have broken it.
That's the problem with the senti!Adrien theory: judging by how long it takes Nathalie to fall sick from using the broken Peacock, Emilie would be dead much longer than a year if Adrien was a sentimonster. Not to mention that we have no canon evidence that a human sentimonster could grow like a normal human. But making a senti!Gabe would be infinitely easier because he's an adult and his appearance is pretty static.
We don't know a lot about Emilie, but this is what we can infer (yay English class for making me learn what that is). She likely gave up her acting career to take care of Adrien, and she wasn't in the public eye when she was alive (given that Gabriel Agreste superfan Marinette doesn't know anything about Adrien's mom). Her and Adrien were/are entirely dependent on Gabriel for their income and lifestyle. She definitely played a part in Adrien's childhood being the way it was, we know this from the events of Wishmaker and the fact that Adrien only attends school after her death. From this, I drew the conclusion that she was dedicated to keeping her son protected and safe through their wealthy lifestyle, much like the Gabriel that we know in the show.
What if Gabriel Agreste gets sick, and Emilie panics because without him she and her son would lose the life they currently have. (sheltered, priviledged, safe, etc.) What does she do to avoid this? She uses the peacock to create a senti!Gabriel with the purpose of keeping their family together and safe. The sentimonster learns Gabriel's mannerisms, abilities, habits, etc. and stands in for ailing Gabriel in any appearances he has to make. This would be very taxing for her using the Peacock miraculous, since she would likely have to feed the sentimonster lines during gatherings and such, which requires using the miraculous. But, if she caught Gabriel's illness early enough, it would be a seamless switch and no one would know any better (even Adrien). She would bury Gabriel's body quietly and use the sentimonster to keep up appearances.
However, I can't imagine her not confiding in anyone. That's one hell of a secret to keep. And I think she confided in her sister because of the events in Felix. Amelie wants the rings, that much is clear from the get-go. Which begs the question: What sister-in-law would want to take her dead sister's wedding rings from her grieving brother-in law? Family heirloom or not, that is one hell of an ask. Especially from someone who also lost their spouse recently. Maybe a sister-in-law who knows that her sister isn't really dead, and that she can control famous fashion designer Gabriel Agreste through them.
That's right, I think that the amok is in the rings. For one, they're something that either of them would have on them at all times. Also, they're referred to as the Graham de Vanily Twin Rings, and in Felix when Gabriel is polishing both of them, we see that they can stick together to be one ring. So, it would be possible to put an Amok in the rings. And, as we know from the Crocoduel akuma, when the object with an akuma/amok*** is broken/separated, both pieces have to be put together and then destroyed for the akuma/amok to be released. Meaning that putting the amok in the twin rings would offer extra protection for the sentimonster, because it could only be controlled or destroyed if somebody had the two rings. And the countless shots focused on the ring have to mean something, right?
Ok, you say. That makes sense, but why would Gabriel be sick and die? Well, Amelie's husband died around the same time that Emilie did. And Adrien and Felix look uncannily similar, yes? That genetic similarity would make more sense if they were double first cousins**, meaning that the two Graham de Vanily sisters married two Agreste brothers. And if the condition that killed Adrien's uncle was genetic, it would make sense for it to affect Gabriel as well. Gabriel appears to be in his 40s-50s, which is when a genetic disease would reasonably strike (since his ancestors would have kids before the disease struck, passing it down generationally).
Also, in the episode "Adrien's Double Life" Adrien remarks that ever since the disappearance of Emilie, Gabriel is a changed man. Now, that can be chalked up to plain ol' grief, but considering that Emilie's illness was present before her death, wouldn't he have at least been able to prepare for it enough that such a drastic change would be implausible?
There's a few more small things that add up a little too well. For one, whenever Gabriel talks about Emilie, it's almost always either a) about bringing her back or b) platitudes like she loved her family, she was dramatic. No specific memories, no flashbacks to their wedding, Adrien's birth, the film Solitude, or anything. Adrien's the only one who has a flashback to his mother, during Wishmaker. He also recalls in Feast that she used to make him laugh while playing piano.
Also, in Optigami, Gabriel knows that human sentimonsters can wield miraculous from the get-go. How does he know that? Even if he's taking a gamble, that's a pretty big gamble to take! Imagine if the sentimonster couldn't wield a miraculous, his whole plan would fall apart. Theoretically, he could have tested it at home, letting a human sentimonster use the butterfly miraculous, but Nathalie is incapacitated and also testing the butterfly miraculous on a sentimonster would lead to an interesting akumatization, to say the least****. Perhaps Gabriel knows that sentimonsters can wield miraculous because he himself is a sentimonster and wields one.
This isn't complete, it's really just a theory, and if anyone has any thoughts, feel free to add on!
*Chat Noir's cataclysm is the only thing known in canon to break Miraculous
**They could also be biologically twins, but raised as cousins. If Amelie or Emilie had fertility issues, and the other offered to surrogate, they could have decided to place one twin with each family. Gabriel could have died of something else. Or the Adrien/Felix thing isn't actually that deep and it's just lazy animation. Sometimes cousins look similar.
***As far as we know, akumas and amoks function the same way in regards to the objects they inhabit. I'm assuming that remains true for separated objects with the amok.
****Theoretically, it could have been done quietly, but I feel like that would have been shown as part of the planning (like how Optigami's creation was). It's also such a hilarious mental image that I can't imagine dignified Gabriel doing it.
