THE RAMPAGE AND COLOURS PT. 1✨🎨
what is my account but a collection of my thought dumps that makes sense but also doesn't make sense? anyways! i made a list of colours of the rampage in my notes app and its been sitting there for... 7 months...
but! i really like rambling and i want to ramble bout this to you lovely people (or anyone interested enough to read this), i'll try to keep this short and simple❤️ disclaimers, these are all in good fun and are just my opinions. i also don't have access to a ton of exile tribe content, so im basing this of stuff i have watched (pls bear with me🥲)
feel free to share your thoughts. i would love to know what you think :DDD
i'm gonna have to break these up into 2 posts (16 members ahaaaaa) don't know if i'm diligent enough to maintain this one but i'll try my best!!!
likiya - gold (#fdd017)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
of course likiya was going to get gold. for me, it's suitable for him because he's the leader. he carries the rampage from exile tribe. plus, he gives me very lion-esque vibes. his presence is strong, powerful. i also debated of a royal blue, but a warmer colour suits likiya. he's like the sun, makes me feel warm inside.
zin - silvery blue (#7f8e99)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
several reasons for this one. i wanted the leaders colours to be opposites, so if likiya is the sun, zin is the moon. straight grey/silver didn't suit zin - it's too dull for him, so i opted for a bluer silver that reflects how he makes me feel (also kinda matches his h&l character but we won't look into that). his presence is cooler, but not cold. somehow, his vibe is closer to what i think mountains would feel like.
riku - coral orange (#f2946b)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
when i think riku, i think about his beautiful smile and his bright personality. ngl i wanted to give him a yellow adjacent colour too, but i feel like a softer colour closer to orange suits him. it's warm and vibrant but not too summer. i also thought about golden retriever colours but riku, for me at least, has this natural aura that reflects a coral reef on a bright sunny afternoon.
kenta - cool tone black (#121417)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
several options were going into kenta's colour choice like white to reflect his invaderz look or a red. but i knew i wanted to stick to a cooler tone colour. kenta has a very black cat energy in my opinion. though he's a ball of chaos and goofs, there are also occasions where he is quite a loner. so, after some thought, i went "well, black is pretty suiting". to me, black has so much potential. it's versatile, it's mysterious, it's kenta.
rui - lilac purple (#b666d2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
well. if you don't think of purple when you think of yonamine rui, i don't even know what to say (joking teehee). the real challenge was deciding which purple suited rui. i thought about inching the colour picker closer to white to give him a less saturated colour to match his softer side, but i realise that rui is vibrant. his dancing, his smile, his everything.
yamasho - pink (#ed93db)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
now, if i was going to do this before, yamasho would've been more green for me, or blue. but, i've been really interested in his current venture with new looks and makeup. i really admire yamasho for experimenting with his style, because not only does it suit him, but it's so refreshing to see. his creativity, his boldness. they shine in my mind when i think about yamasho. i thought about a more salmon pink, but this one. it's light but bold, just like he is to me.
kazuma - blood red (#8b0000)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
red was my immediate thought when choosing a colour for kazuma. it's the colour for his prince of legend character of course, but it's also the colour of blood, which also makes me associate him with vampires. yes, i know he has been attributed with wolves a lot. however, he has sharper, intimidating features, which immediately makes me attribute him to things like knives, fangs, rubies. kazuma always gave off this overwhelmingly strong red vibe for me. passionate and elegant, but dangerous and intense.
hokuto - pastel yellow (#ebe7a2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i thought about giving him a pastel pink. the more i think about it, the more i find myself giving hokuto a pastel yellow. maybe it's because a majority of his styles had always given him soft blonde hair. but hokuto reminds me of sun, but more like the sun on a cloudier day, or the way petting a cat feels. his vibes are soft and sunny. sweeter and gentler.

Ok, this is not what I originally planned, but I think it still came out cute 🩷 Listen, I just wanted to describe clothes, and let Isaac be happy in her own skin for a moment.
It took Isaac many centuries to figure out what Dracul saw in it. Centuries of tearing herself apart, before gentle hands helped her put herself together. Hands that didn't mind if they were cut or stabbed. Hands that held her and comforted her at her worse. Hands that petted her hair and patted her back in congratulations when she succeeded in making another Devil.
Not that those hands hadn't also hurt her. Dracul was an emotionally driven being, and was hurt very easily, despite how he may appear. That cursed Castle had not been helping matters. It was so possessive over him and would sometimes lash out at Isaac for how close the two were. But Isaac stood its ground with the cursed building, and in the end, got Dracul safely outside of the Entity's grip.
Since the Fated Day, Dracul had been watching it. As it walked or talked on the phone. His red eyes always lit up when she was within his eyesight. Even after centuries of being with him, he still made her chest flutter.
It wasn't that surprising why.
It's hair, a healthy, bright red that now reached her mid back, was currently braided over her shoulder. Her eyes were now bright and vibrant, similar in tone to her Brother's golden gaze. Isaac's body was caressed by the gentle lace of her nightgown, long legs and arms on full display, scars and all. She didn't feel so upset by them anymore. They were simply just a part of her now, marks in her story.
It also reminded her that she has put her hair up to get ready for the morning. It had freshly showered and was getting ready for a simple day out with Dracul, but had gotten distracted by seeing itself in the full length mirror of the room. How could it not?
She was beautiful.
Shaking her head, she headed to her closet. The weather had been dreadful the past few days, with a chill in the air that morning. Isaac may not be able to feel the chill as bad anymore, but that didn't mean she didn't get cold. So out came a simple, but cute sweater Alucard had gotten it when Isaac first came out to him.
It was a tan wool sweater, with a cute teddy bear design and white sleeves. The sleeves ended with bear paw pad prints. Despite it hiding her breasts, it was her favorite of her closet, and she just had to match it with some cute bear stockings. Paired with some simple blue palazzo pants and it couldn't resist the ankle high fur boots. Looking at itself in the mirror again, it couldn't stop smiling.
The Doll in the mirror only smiles back at her.
Turning from her image, she sat down by the vanity and turned its lights on. From there, Isaac settled into the same make-up routine she had been doing for nearly six decades: Foundation, highlights, blush, eyebrows, eyeshadow, and mascara. A routine she perfected by now. Last but not least, the lipstick. Isaac had received a few new colors to test out from Dracul, and so far, Black Velvet was its current favorite. A deep black-purple color with a matte finish.
Now came the piercings.
Opening its jewelry box, it pulled out an Opal bridge piercing. It had three opals on each side, carefully polished and about the size of a pea. There was a small chain that connected to each side, that laid gently on the bridge of her nose. Next came the tongue piercing, with a simple black barbell sliding into place. She picked up a pair of snake earrings, that had eyes made of onyx, before adding the industrial piercings, that spinel on them and a little chain connecting each part.
She smiled at the Doll in the mirror, before putting on a couple of rings, bracelets, and then an anklet.
Next came the final, and most important piece of the outfit. Pulling out a lockbox, Isaac unlocked it, and inside sat a collar.
A beautiful, handcrafted leather collar, with fur on the inside. A large, pigeon's blood ruby sat proudly as the center crystal, surrounded by smaller tanzanite crystals. The o-ring had a tag that read Dracul's Doll on it, as well as a dragon charm. The collar was enchanted by Dracul's blood when it was first created, and the faint traces of it still lingered, tickling her skin like a soft summer breeze.
It marked her as the property of Dracul, better than any ring could ever do.
Isaac stood up from the vanity chair and looked back over at the full length mirror. Damn, she looked really good. Sure, the sweater and pants hid most of her figure, but she still felt so cute. Isaac took her hair out of the braid and fluffed it out more.
The smile only grew wider, and with a split moment, it leaned forward, and pressed its lips against the mirror, leaving a lipstick mark on the surface. One last look, she turned away and stepped out, grabbing a simple over the shoulder purse.
"Dracul? Are you ready to head out?" She called out.
"Yes," she turned her head, as her sire stepped out, "just waiting on you." His eyes took in every part of her outfit, a soft smile on his face.
He had a simple flannel shirt and blue jeans on, with some steel toe boots. Isaac stepped closer, wrapping her arm around his shoulder, leaning down to give him a kiss. One that he happily leaned up and met halfway for.
"You look good," it stated as it pulled away from his lips. She took to his side, and left her arm wrapped around him.
"As do you," he said back, intertwining their fingers together as they stepped out the door.
Sure, the city still had plenty that needed to be done, but for the day, Dracul and Isaac could have some time to themselves, without all the responsibilities that came with being God's Champion and the partner of said Champion.

The Wasting (Character Study)
Working on this WIP overhaul, and playing around with a prompt to get to know Cael Ardiin once more.
How would your character react if they were:
Happy?
The weather was perfect for a day spent outside; a brightly shining sun in the sky and a cool breeze pushing the treetops to and fro. A good day for fishing. Or pretending to fish while actually reclining and reading a book. Cael decided to take advantage of this after a long week of rain and tracking a small herd of jethhende.
His steps burst with a pale yellow light, quick and at the balls of his feet as he moves through the familiar forest toward the slowly winding river he most likes to frequent.
Stretching out along the bank, he does put a line in the water, but he keeps a book in his hands. One that Balena, his closest friend, had suggested. It’s an old tale of adventure, of Mage Knights and the building of the first Skyspire. Long ago fantasies that Cael is happy to lose himself in. He tucks one hand under his head, his long, silken hair splayed messily around him.
Sad?
The Brightburn pyre was stacked high at the lakeshore. Atop it rested the body of Varne Ardiin, Cael’s grandfather. They had been close, and now he was going to miss Cael’s coming-of-age trials. The bone-handled knife his grandfather was going to gift him at the end of the trials sat on Cael’s hip in a beautiful jethhende-hide sheath, given too early from one taken too soon.
Cael’s young face, just sporting the dusting of a beard, was wet with tears. His eyes glowed a deep purple and his fingertips were stained with red, little sparks igniting from them every few minutes.
When the women went to light the pyre, Cael sucked in a deep, sobbing breath. This was it; his grandfather would be taken from his world to the next, leaving Cael behind completely.
Amidst the thrum of mournful voices rising up in a heart-swelling dirge, the Brightburn pyre took light. Cael watched through eyes blurred by tears as the brilliant, sparking red engulfed the whole thing almost immediately. It wouldn’t be long before at their feet there lay just ash.
Excited?
Cael hurried along the bridges and pathways of his tree-top city, a trail of yellow foot-imprints slowly dissipating behind him. Balena had gotten her new bow, and they were going to test it out together. Her house lay at the far end of the city, nearest the trails into the western forests, and Cael was doing his best not to shove through the crowds of people out during the busy afternoon.
Warm sunlight streamed down through the heavy gold, red, and orange leaves of fall; a perfect day for shooting. He pressed against the twisted wood railing next to him to allow a group of women to pass, all chattering happily with bursts of brilliant colors dancing along with their words. Their happiness only added to his excitement, and he hurried along once the pathway was clear again.
Finally making it to Balena’s house, he banged a little too hard on the door, and a wave of red rippled over its surface. He bounced on the balls of his feet as he waited for her to answer.
Scared?
The room was stifling even though outside the ground was covered in snow. A fire burned low, nearly just coals at this point in the late night, but it gave enough light to see the woman lying on the low bed. Her once vibrant red-brown skin had paled, and a sheen of sweat gleamed in the firelight.
Cael stood at the entrance of the door, hand gripping the doorframe, and eyes locked on his mother. It was hard to swallow his throat was so thick with worry. Around him hung a soft, radiating blue light, as though his skin emanated the tone. It was cold and only made the room seem hotter still.
When Aniisha shifted in bed, letting out a gasp, Cael finally moved. He strode to her bedside and dropped down to his knees next to her. Her hand was out of the blanket, fingers nearly touching the floor. When she gasped again, sparks of green left her fingertips followed by blooming flowers and leaves that fluttered around and to the floor. A pile of such leaves and flowers sat around her bedside, dead now. Decaying.
Cael’s chest seized, and he grabbed at her hand, holding it near his heart. He needed to find a way to save her, to cure this Withering.
In love?
Warmth blooms against Cael’s palm where he presses it to his lover’s collarbones. Pink and red ripple as he draws his fingertips over his skin, down the bare chest and to the soft navel. Sparks dance as he grabs onto his hip bones.
A laugh passed between lips that caress each other. Breath, warmth, and the yellow of the sun coat their tongues. Their heartbeats synch, and Cael can’t imagine being anywhere but here. They fall into chasing passion together, devouring each other.
The next morning, Cael wakes slowly. The warmth of his lover next to him makes his heart swell. The room lights with a burst of yellow that colors his brown skin brightly. And when his lover opens his eyes, Cael smiles. “Morning love.”
“Morning.”
“Stay here. I’m going to make us some breakfast.” He needs to do something for this man in his bed. Needs to show him how much he cares for him.
“I’m not going anywhere,” his lover responds, and Cael feels as though he could die happily right there.
In danger?
Cael wasn’t often found standing still, but now he stood absolutely frozen. His heart was hammering so quickly, it pushed blood to his ears and made the sounds of the forest drown to the thump of his heart. He choked down the magic that tried to burble forward, hoping the creature would simply pass without noticing him.
The agliferd was large, and they didn’t often roam down beyond the mountains. But lately, with the drought, they’d been tracking food into the Arithian forests and coming too close to the city for the people’s comfort. Had Cael not been alone, they would have hunted it down to keep the city safe, but he was not going to mess with the large, reptilian predator by himself.
The creature paused, its long claws digging into the rich earth and stirring up the smells of decaying underbrush, rich and heady. Large, slitted nostrils lifted and it inhaled deeply.
Cael prayed to gods long ago lost to this world that it did not turn his way. Please, Mogi, make it not smell me. Rithika, keep the wind from casting my scent. He hoped they heard him as he held his breath, muscles burning with the tension of keeping so still.
The agliferd shook out its large body and trundled on, passing by Cael without a glance. It shuffled away back toward the mountains and Cael sagged in relief. He collapsed back against the tree and released his grip on the bone-handle knife at his side. It wouldn’t have done much against that thing’s hide, but Cael wouldn't go down without a fight.
Angry?
Cael’s fists are curled at his side glowing red. He’s sure his eyes are the same garish color as he fights down his anger at them all. How can they not want to find solutions to this? So many of their people were dying, losing their magic! They can’t want to just sit around and wait to die out.
A hand touches down on Cael’s arm then snatches back almost immediately at the heat coming off of him. “Calm down. We will find another way,” Balena harshly whispers at him.
“How? They’ve shot it all down and you’re being reprimanded.” He turns from the Elders, from the crowd who’d voted against them. He knows that Balena follows, can feel the soothing magic she is pushing across his back.
Once they’re outside, Cael takes a deep breath and shakes out his hands. Strands of red light slip away from his fingers and disappear into the air. He turns to Balena and her magic, cool and smelling like mint, washes over him. It settles in his nose and calms his nerves further.
“We’ll figure this out. I promise.”
“My mom isn’t going to make it much longer, Ena.” Anger swirls in his gut again as he thinks about his mom lying on that cot, flowers blooming and dying all about her. “How can they let this happen?”
Balena steps up to him and grasps him in a hug again. “Hold on to that feeling. I have a plan.”

This July, no one can escape the "Barbie Pink" frenzy!
Even before the movie "Barbie" hits the screens, the fashion industry has already gone crazy for it. The two lead actors, Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, embarked on a promotional tour in June, and fashion inspired by "Barbie" has been widely discussed since then. Stylist Andrew Mukamal took pink as the main theme and drew inspiration from Barbie dolls' historical wardrobes to create outfits for the stars.
Barbie has become one of the most influential fashionable IPs in modern times, naturally leading to the fashion industry's frenzy for the movie "Barbie." Brands such as Emilio Pucci, Schiaparelli, and Vivienne Westwood have provided custom clothing for Margot Robbie, while Moschino and Versace have opened their archives for the stylist team to select vintage styles reminiscent of classic Barbie doll outfits.
Chanel, where Margot Robbie has been announced as a brand ambassador, has taken it a step further by not only showcasing its own designs on the red carpet but also incorporating them into the Barbie wardrobe in the movie. Even in relatively relaxed settings like the airport, the brand can find opportunities for exposure, as long as the clothing's main tone is pink. As the release date of "Barbie" approaches, the fashion trend is not limited to brands alone. The dressing style known as "Barbiecore" has gained popularity on social media platforms overseas, with the hashtag receiving over 500 million views on TikTok. As depicted in the movie, this style primarily focuses on exaggerated and dreamy outfits with pink hues.
In an analysis article, Bloomberg points out that the Barbiecore style has replaced the dominance of the "old money" style and aligns with the resurgence of vintage trends in recent years. However, if we broaden our perspective, Barbie pink has been popular for quite a long time, not just because the movie is about to be released.
The most prominent case is Valentino's "Barbie Pink," which became a sensation in 2022, with designer Pierpaolo Piccioli giving it the name "Pink PP." The intention was to push for an image transformation, but the vivid color left a strong impression amid controversy. On the fashion index engine Lyst, searches related to pink fashion have increased by 80%.
Although this trend has persisted for a long time, leaving a lasting impression when everyone jumps on the bandwagon is not an easy task. It is evident that many brands have simply swapped their packaging for pink. Consequently, many Barbie collaboration series launched by beauty brands received a lukewarm response. Barbie dolls themselves are famous for their rich clothing choices and diverse "dollhouse" settings, with little emphasis on specific makeup looks, and at times, criticized for promoting stereotypical appearances like blonde hair and blue eyes.
On TikTok, a platform full of creativity and fashion, Orolay brand seized the opportunity and launched a series of fantasy-colored down jackets, offering users a visual feast. These dreamy-colored down jackets are full of fairytale-like imagination, each emitting a unique magical ambiance. From soft pinks and purples to vibrant blues and greens, each color represents a different dreamy world, immersing people in a magical wonderland.
In addition to the dreamy-colored down jackets, Orolay cleverly paired them with whimsical and diverse accessories, making the overall styling more rich and varied. For instance, cute pink hats, dreamy pink skirts, and other accessories added a playful touch to the down jackets' styling, enhancing the overall sense of fashion and individual charm. These accessories not only added a sense of fun but also elevated the overall fashion appeal and personal charisma.
Through this series of fantasy-colored down jackets and creatively matched whimsical accessories, the brand demonstrates its unique understanding of fashion and keen grasp of fashion trends, offering users more exciting fashion choices. This innovative approach further solidifies Orolay's position in the fashion industry, allowing the brand to have a wider influence among young users.

Playing With Fire 2
My continuation of a story I posted last week where I incorporate words from a prompt list @lorichu and @gtypewriter made.
<<Previous chapter
Chapter 2: Cords
With a snap, a small flame appeared above the sorcerer's fingertip, followed by another, as the fiery spectacle increased to one for every digit. He then proceeded to juggle them seamlessly, and by some strange circumstance it neither burned nor caused pain. The audience was captivated, and upon hearing their gasps, the magician decided it was time to showcase one of his finest acts. He began his incantation as the fires grew larger and more vibrant with every word.
"Suns of gehenna, bright as gold, I beseech thee to bring forth the wonders of the elements! Like the stars that guides travelers or the nearest sun, let there be known the true beauty of its internal flame!"
After a wave of his arms, the fireballs instantly erupted into a dazzling display of brilliant colors, as each fizzled out in a sea of orange, reds, purples and blues. The crowd watched in awe and astonishment as the blaze devolved into stardust that had begun to drift softly outside the stage. Loud cheers followed which prompted the magician to pause for a brief second to catch their eyes. He took notice of one child who had caught a stardust harmlessly in his palm. The look of wonder in their eyes.... The magician couldn't help but put a smile on his face, for this aided in giving him even more energy to charge up his spells.
As the show continued with even more stunning performances, the number of people gathered tenfold around the makeshift stage. Talk of the show had spread across the village, which brought with it the attention of men who slowly crept into the crowd unawares. The magician sensed their presence mid-spell, for he caught sight of three armored individuals who had advanced to each accessible corner. The emblems on their chests were a telltale sign that these men were not here to spectate.
"I have unfortunate news to give," the magician proclaimed with a hint of a crack in his voice, "but I must make a sudden departure! It was a pleasure sharing the gift of magic to everyone here today! When the time is right, I shall return. But until then, I bid you all farewell!"
One last spell was cast, as the entire stage was bombarded with an array of colorful smoke. Within the smog the sorcerer vanished, but he was unable to go very far. Not long after the guards made their way inside the platform, as they went so far as to topple everything in their path. The sorcerer meanwhile was just beneath their feet as he gathered as many potions and essentials as he could. He winced repeatedly upon hearing the devastation upstairs, as he hid one final knapsack under his hood. His mind raced to find a way to make himself unseen, but during the chaos he failed to see the guard who had snuck up from behind.
"Say... that was a mighty fine show you put out there." The soldier spoke, with a hint of sarcasm in his tone. The magician gave out a spontaneous squeak, though he didn't turn to face him. The guard then lowered his lip and replied darkly. "These be more than just simple card tricks though. Care to explain yourself?"
"Well you see, I can assure you that everything I perform on stage is but an act! I can prove it if you just let me--"
"Tell it to the judges when we take you into trial, witch. I'm sure the they would love to hear your story." The guard was fixing to close in, when the magician reacted in turn.
"I am but a humble magician." He spoke as he pulled out something from under his sleeve. "Just give me one moment to demonstrate!"
In an instant, a flashbang was fired between them which filled the basement with irritating smoke. The royal guard took out his blade and lunged forward, but without clear vision it's edge struck one of the shelves instead. A crash was heard from above, as well as a large yell from a different guard. A faint orange glow penetrated through the thick smoke, which the men took as a signal to follow.
Just a little further...
The sorcerer managed to tumble through the window he just demolished, small ignited wood near the exit be damned. He was about to make the sprint of his life when he found himself completely surrounded by dozens of royal guards who had laid an ambush. The magician took a sharp turn in a feeble attempt to flee, but it had all come to an abrupt end when he was suddenly struck on the back of his head. The magician crashed onto the ground and was immediately apprehended, much to the shock of some of the crowd who remained. The last thing he witnessed before he whited out was the young boy he saw in the audience prior. His smile was replaced with the start of tears as the performer was about to be taken away. The magician was thoroughly disheartened, for he shed a tear himself before his mind faded into darkness.
To spark joy in the hearts of people. That was all I ever wanted..
Some time had passed before the sorcerer came to. The next thing he knew, he was in a murky, haze filled room that he assumed was the state between reality and the unconscious mind. The magician knew that he would likely slip right back into the cloudy depths of fainting before long. Nothing was discernable to him, but one thing was abundantly clear. He was restrained from the neck down by something that had inflamed his already painful wounds. His eyes were still too weak to open, but he was able to make out the voices of those who surrounded him.
"He's a witch!" An angry male voice shouted. "I say we burn him to the stake first thing tonight!"
"We will ALL be burned to ash if you do any such thing!" A woman spoke out, "And I can tell you right now that such tactics will not work against him."
That got a few gasps out of the room. The magician tried his best to open his eyes at that statement but failed to do so. For in the patchy fog of his mind, his magical senses was able to detect a soft, golden light around the person who came forward. It was faint, yet gentle like light rain. Though it was just strong enough for the sorcerer to discern a silhouette from their external glow. They appeared to be a young woman, perhaps, who wore a robe that obscured her face. Another magic wielder... one that he was surprised to learn was treated far differently from the governing body.
"The high priestess.." The other voice, likely that of a guard, spoke. "What do you know of this foul person?"
"I know that the standard execution methods will not work on him. He will come back alive none worse for wear. But devastation unlike any we've ever seen will come to us all! If you even attempt to do more than what was done here!"
"But then, if we can't burn him alive, what can we do? We can't just let this heathen run free! He'll corrupt the others with uncleanliness! He'll--"
"Send him to the edge of the dark forest." The priestess announced. "He will die to the hands of the foul spirits who dwell there. There shall no blood be stained by the hands of our people. Lest darkness will fall upon us all."
****
Among the treetops the songbirds chirped and fluttered, setting the stage of the strange serenity that filled the landscape at dawn. Contrary to the old legends, sunlight did seep into the crevices of the enchanted forest, yet it barely ever reached the forest floor normally. The result was a gentle cool breeze that persisted all year round. One of the many perks of living here as far as Jac was concerned.
The young witch would spend much of her free time perched high atop a thick branch near her tree hollow abode. She soaked in as much of the sun's rays as she could while she breathed deeply in a trance-like calm. As was often the case she would have a visitor, one who for whatever reason would try to conceal his presence even though he could never succeed in doing so.
"Goro-chan!" Jac exclaimed in a childlike tone. "You know I can sense you right? How come you've been staring at me for the past, I dunno, all morning?"
A voice rumbled in the darkness, smaller than usual. "I... you make it sound weird if you say it like that.. I'm just standing guard."
"I didn't hire you to be my bodyguard, you silly! Why don't you come up here and sit with me?"
"Um... are you sure?"
"Yeah! I'm not going to bite!" Jac chuckled.
After some hesitation, Goro swooped up and reappeared as a young man in what appeared to be some kind of robed garment and a small black hat. Fashion from his homeland, Jac figured. He slowly eased closer to the perched woman before resting just before their shoulders touched. The Beta Wile couldn't help but give off a quaint smile, for despite his initial reaction, he cherished these little moments whenever he could.
"Care to join me to gather fruits and nuts on the east side? I heard the blueberries are in season."
"Of course!" Jac replied. "I could always add to the food stock myself. Though there's never any shortage of it."
Jac looked down and fell into silence once more. Goro tilted his head slightly but chose not to say anything, allowing her room to ponder in peace. The two continued to perch together for some time until Jac felt boredom settle in. Figuring it was time to get a move on, Goro transformed into his avian form, and with the witch securely mounted they took to the skies. They had all the time in the world, so they continued to bask in each other's company all the while.
The berry pickings were plentiful as was expected, but that wasn't the first thing Jac and Goro noticed upon arrival. Immediately, their attention shifted towards the charred grass and singed dirt nearby which had all pointed towards a struggle that carried on across a field. Goro stayed airborne as he followed the burn tracks, while Jac tapped into her senses to scan for any signs of life nearby. They soon felt it simultaneously- a magical essence, fiery, yet weak, that surrounded a human silhouette who was buried deep beneath the earth.
The Tengu Wile swooped down above the exact spot where the magic's essence was at its strongest. Jac and Goro started to claw the debris and leaf litter away, and sure enough they unveiled the mouth of a steep pit. A strange net of some kind, strung together with large cords that were as thick as bamboo stalks, acted as a barricade to keep whoever was concealed within from escaping.
The activity would stir the captive awake, and he instantly locked eyes with the dim light above. The auras emitted from the two were strong, there was no mistaking it. With as much of his strength he could muster, the magician stood up and whirled a flame into being above his index finger.
"H-hello?" Cried a voice from within. "Can anyone hear me?"
Jac and the Beta Wile whipped their heads in tandem at his voice. It was difficult to make out the man's figure through the waffle-strung ropes, but the small fireball helped Jac to discern some of his features. A hood hid all but the edges of the young man's reddish hair, and he wore a purple cloak that was adorned with the elaborate patterns of suns and stars. He was covered throughout what could be seen with mud and scrapes, and could barely stand.
"Oh thank the stars we got here in time!" Jac shouted. "We're going to get you out of there! Just hang on a little longer."
"You're not one of the guards..." The man below spoke quietly, with a sigh of relief right afterwards. "You have... an aura around you."
"Yep! I'm like you, so don't you worry!" Jac replied.
The witch then tried her best to loosen the cords, but it was strung tight and barely budged. The accompanying Wile giant then attempted to break it with his razor sharp talons, but no matter what, the net remained intact.
"What the hell?" Goro spat.
"It's no use." The magician sighed. "Those ropes are protected by some kind of weird magic. It's not easy at all to get rid of."
"What? How?" Jac exclaimed. She couldn't fathom that another magic wielder could even consider working for the human enforcers. But then again, she thought, all human-likes are fickle.
"I don't understand it myself." The sorcerer shook his head. "All I know is that the spell has to be broken a certain way. I tried using my own magic against it, but it was no use."
"Well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try everything we can." Goro stated.
"Couldn't have said it better myself." Jac grinned. "We'll do whatever it takes to set you free. Make no mistake!"
As the sun made it's way across the sky, the two best friends tried as many skills at their disposal to destroy the seal. Transformation spells, relocation spells, shrinking spells, slide through barrier spells... Not to mention the tried and true brute force spells, yet even Jac's dark fireballs did nothing to penetrate the thick binds. This irritated the young witch immensely, for she stomped her feet and swore obscenities at every other failed attempt. Whenever this happened, Goro tried his best to quell her with a brush of a wing against her back. It wasn't enough to completely get rid of the thunderstorms in Jac's head, but it did aid to cool her down somewhat to keep her head straight.
The monster bird had a few tricks of his own, which under usual circumstances would have been considered devastating blows. Expert swings with the katana in human form, wind cutting magic in his true form, and even a bit of blue fire magic of his own. But even the mighty giant was unable to break the barrier that was set in place.
Between their attempts, Jac would gather the harvest from the nearby bushes, which she would then lower to the worn out prisoner. The sorcerer thanked her each time for the offerings, which he devoured without hesitation. Throughout the day, this helped him to gather a little bit of his strength back, which he was even more grateful for. He figured at this point he had enough energy to pull off one spell, but he had to make sure it counted.
The magician was quietly observing each attempt, as he took mental notes of every spell that was casted. One thing that he noticed was between them all, the stronger fire spells would linger the longest. Jac's most fearsome fireballs would set the ropes ablaze for a few minutes before dissipating, while Goro's blue flames wielded similar results.
"Dark magic, Soul... and inferno..." The magician uttered. "The three harmonious pyro crafts..."
"Wha?" Jac exclaimed. "I didn't quite catch that."
"I have a theory." The sorcerer announced. He then gave his findings to the duo, before adding his suggestion. "What if we combine our strongest fire spells? We have the three harmonious flames... so with our forces united, it may just be enough to disrupt the magic flow that's powering the barrier!"
"I have no idea what that means." Jac admitted. "After everything else we've tried, how sure are you that we could pull something like that off?"
"You're looking at a master magician of the art of pyromancy! If anything, I know my fire elemental magic well! Besides, as with everything else, it wouldn't hurt to at least try."
Goro was hesitant. "Wait... if what you are saying is true, wouldn't that pose a risk not worth taking? You are but a few feet away from the entanglement. Something that powerful could cause serious injury in that range."
The magician pondered for a bit, before he raised his head. "We don't have very many options. Besides, I'll be fine. I can use a protection spell if things get a little out of control." Only one spell rung in the back of his mind. To lessen the two friend's worries, however, he chose to keep that to himself.
The witch and the Wile looked at each other in silence before coming to a unanimous decision to go along with the magician's plan. They both took a moment to charge up their power, as the auras around Jac and Goro grew to a vibrant light blue and indigo respectively. Jac was the first to make a move. She uttered a near inaudible incantation under her breath, as was usual per her signature style. The blue fireballs that emitted above her palms grew larger and more brilliant, until at last she was ready to throw.
"Stand Back!!" Jac roared as she tossed dozens of fireballs onto the ropes, setting them ablaze once more. As predicted, the flames remained as it tried its best to burn into the fibers.
"Now! It's your turn!" Jac turned to Goro.
The large avian still remained reluctant, as a mild scowl appeared on his face. There was something about this idea that unnerved him, but he couldn't quite figure out what exactly. The Beta Wile chose to quiet his thoughts by shutting his eyes, as he slowly breathed out through his nose. He then went airborne and spread his wings out wide. With a single flap, scorching hot blue flames in the shape of birds appeared before him and launched into the barrier like tiny missiles. The spell combined with Jac's resulted in a spectacular blue flame which had grown exponentially in size. This left Goro and surprisingly Jac visibly shaken, as the fire was large enough to engulf far more in its surroundings, both on the surface and beneath. Jac raced towards the pit but was held back by the wing of the Wile giant. A voice could be heard from within, which had eased some of her fears.
"I'm okay! I knew you could pull it off!" The magician said, his voice oddly intense and somewhat cocky compared to his previous meekness. "Now! The moment you've all been waiting for! It is time for the epic climax!"
The magician's eyes sharpened, before he closed them shut. He took in a breath while thinking back on that glorious night. The crowd of people cheering at the marvels he made. The sense of wonder in the eyes of the small child. He reminded himself that escaping this hole will guarantee that he will put on another show again. He imagined this to was a performance, one that was treated as if his life depended on it. It was then that his aura grew tremendously, as did the fireballs that appeared above his every fingertip. The flames above obscured his form, but his voice was loud and clear. His fires grew wild at the start of his incantation, as he spoke them with much exhilaration and delight.
"Suns of gehenna, bright as gold..."
Just then, the feathers on Goro's neck puffed up, and his eyes grew wide with sharpened slits.
"...I beseech you to bring forth your power!!" The magician continued with increasing excitement. "Like the stars that guides travelers or the nearest sun, let there be known the true beauty of its internal flame!"
The ten fireballs erupted into a sea of vibrantly colored fire beams, though unlike in his magic shows, it ignited with the intent to burn everything in its path. Goro immediately grabbed Jac and tried to get some distance between them, for his instincts screamed that something horrid was about to take place. And he was right, for at that very moment the three fires molded together and bloomed high into the sky in a pillar of flames. The inferno appeared in the shape of a bird with magnificent purple and gold colors that swirled over its burning plumes. It soared in the air like a slowly ascending arrow before it disappeared entirely from view. Perhaps the flames continued into the land of the stars, but it was impossible to know.
A few minutes later, Goro opened his wing which revealed Jac as she gradually climbed out from under his protection. She took a moment to assess the situation, only to quickly learn that the ropes had indeed been charred to ash, along with a wide range of vegetation that surrounded the hole. Yet strangely enough, no new growth was affected, but every single old and fallen leaves in its path was destroyed at least partially. By sheer miracle, or perhaps due to the strange magic that they just bore witness to, no fire remained lit.
"Master Rikuo needs to know about this..." Goro uttered, his feathers still ruffled on edge.
Jac hurried to the now open pit and jumped inside, seeing that the entire ditch was completely covered with burn scars. Goro lowered his head and carefully pulled the two occupants out by the teeth. Jac then managed to drag the unresponsive magician onto a bed of grass, his body coated entirely with soot. She evaluated his vitals anxiously before getting to work on a quick healing spell. It wasn't something she was particularly skilled at, but it was better than nothing.
Goro remained in a cautious state, for he reared back while facing the magician as if he was a cornered animal ready to retaliate. Jac noticed this and cocked an eyebrow at the giant bird, before the man by her knees began to stir.
"Ahhh... my... head..." The magician spoke weakly. He then did his best to clear his throat.
"Oh thank the stars you're alive!" Jac said, as a slight hint of relief washed over her. "You need serious help. I can try to use my healing spells but it's not my specialty so I don't know how effective or how long it'll last. If only Jillian was here, I--"
"Relax... I'll be okay..." the magician tried to speak the best he could as he sensed the witch's bubbling panic. "I'm fine with basic medic skills... I know I don't look so good, but... I promise, I'll be as good as new soon."
"I can believe that." Goro replied flatly. The sorcerer looked upon the Wile giant with slight hints of fear, though he was too weak to react. It was noticeably far less pronounced compared with other humans who had encountered a Wile for the first time- another thing Jac took mental note of. The magician then said something that completely caught her off guard.
"I'm on my own... a wanderer looking for my own place..." He was addressing Goro. He paused for a moment as he tried to catch his breath before continuing. "I'm not here to cause trouble. Please believe me. Besides... I'm weak. I'm stuck like, this... I can't even change even if I wanted to."
"What do you mean?" Jac asked. Goro meanwhile, understood completely. He still remained wary for a few moments more, until he finally released the tension he had built up with a sigh.
"That... explains a lot."
"What does?" Jac was very confused.
"Truth is, in your current state, your core stands a great chance of not lasting another moon cycle without strong magic." Goro admitted. He then lowered his feathers onto the injured man before continuing. "So I will lend you some of my power."
"That... won't be necessary..."
"You value the life you have now, don't you?" Goro cuts in. "I have plenty of energy to spare, so, don't sweat it."
The magician wanted to say something back but, he was unable to find the words. What was said touched him more than he realized, as tears began to form at the base of his eyes.
"I can't... thank you both enough for everything..."
"Any good magic wielder would have done the same." Jac replied.
The young witch figured that it was best to ask questions later after the severity of the situation had passed. For now, getting the injured to a safe, secluded place was her number one priority. Goro lowered his back as the magician was escorted onto his black feathers. During this time, the magician couldn't help but allow more teardrops to run down his face. The overwhelming joy he felt when everything had sunken in. He knew not another way to express how grateful really he was.
"I'll return the favor someday..." He spoke the best he could.
"That won't be necessary! Um..." Jac looked at him before she realized. "Come to think of it, I haven't gotten your name yet."
"I am... known as the great magician of pyromancy. A showman at heart, one who knows a bit of--"
"Not that! Your actual name! We need it to conduct our healing spells. And also," Jac continued. "I would like to know. Just cause."
"Oh.." The magician normally wasn't keen on giving out his name. But to the two who had saved his life, he was more than willing.
"I'm, Aiden... what's yours?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~SPICE: Allspice berries + Mahlab Spice Complex sweetness makes allspice berries versatile, in both sweet and savory dishes- add ground allspice to Jamaican jerk rubs and stews, to spice cakes, cookies, and grilled fruits. Sweet, Savory. + These pits add an ultra-luxurious almond, nutty, and vanilla flavor with a slightly bitter after taste. Mahlab spice works with baked goods like pastries, bread, rice pudding, honey, and cheese desserts and is frequently found throughout Greece, Turkey, and Egypt. Both of these fit her style of cooking and personality.
~WEATHER: Clear skies after a rain + Sunny days in winter or Autumn The fresh dew on the ground, how the skies clear up after a storm has hit the land. The calming and clean after math of whatever comes, and is ready to be nurtured, or to be rescued from what remains. She comes in the storm, and will do her best to clean up the after math, won't shy away. With the snow, she was born in winter, loves it so, but the sunlight while the exact opposite of her nature as a creature, always looks so beautiful when bringing in that new day in the quiet season. Of course, autumn has always seemed fitting as well. The warmth of life wilting into hibernation, and Halloween.
~PRIMARY COLOUR: Shades of Purple This goes without saying, as purple has always been her sunglasses, and the vibrant pop against the rest of her lower tones. Purple can bring great fortune and luck, as well as an ominous warning when in its darker shades. A double meaning in it's tints, and depends on whom perceives such color. But for Darck she just has always loved it so. Purple is a lot of things. It’s mysterious. It’s magical. It can be playful, but it can also be reverent.
~COLOUR OF THE SKY: Sunsets, and Sunrise The way pastels of oranges and reds, fade into purples and blues, following the sun setting, offering the last rays of warmth before the calm night washes over the land. Bringing with it both rest and warning. Gorgeous colors that Darck loves to watch. But when the night sky erupts, showing the stars in the inky shades above, is much like tiny lights, or flecks of lost paints, that bring out the most of what she is and a gift unto the world. That it is still turning, still a new day will rise in the morn when Sunrise comes, to bring the vibrant colors once more into being.
~MAGICAL POWER: Shadow Step The power to manipulate shadows and darkness came at a cost, one that left lasting scars mentally and emotionally with everything that followed. But now, she relies on this deeply, moving about at impossible speed, ignoring blockades most of the time. And capable of using shadow as a weapon once solidified. Or as an extra limb, on the rare occasion, yet requires great focus.
~SHOE: High tops + Combat Boots Originally, Darck once wore black and white high top converse when relaxing and not out working, when younger. But when out in the world and needing to be ready for anything, Combat Boots with steel toe are the average shoe, always.
~HOUSEPLANT: Succulent + Lavender Succulents mean loyalty and endurance, timeless, love endless either friendship or romantic. Trustworthy and unshaken no matter the drought, a type of cactus but smaller. Lavender flowers represent purity, silence, devotion, serenity, grace, and calmness. As well as the purple hue bringing an air of elegance to it. But can also use this plant for medicine and tea, to both heal you and welcome you.
~BLADE WEAPON: Dagger Darck always has an old Romanian dagger on her person as a blade of choice. It's longer than a combat knife, but just as swift and deadly, this object meant to never be broken. The one weapon she can always fall back on should it stay in her hand, and tied with her family ancestry.
~SCHOOL SUBJECT: Science, History, P.E. As much as she is a woman good with words and understanding other quickly, one might think English. But no, she has always loved different science classes! So very many and she paid close attention as well when a kid. Combine that with her excitement into all sorts of history, the two subjects always go hand in hand. And both have followed Darck into her adult hood and has even helped work in her favor on missions or knowing situations. Of course, P.E. goes without saying, she was always incredibly active and physically interested in things. Since being changed into half vampire, this fact became key.
~SOCIAL MEDIA: ?????? She'd not have a lot of anything. Maybe an untagged youtube account, without any connection to her real name, and a couple email accounts. But things like twitter? Nah, she uses ghost accounts to keep an eye on things, but otherwise she doesn't exist. A ghost in the machine.
~MAKEUP PRODUCT: Foundation and Concealer While she does not wear make up in general, almost never unless special occasion calls for the need- then these two products she will use more commonly if needed. Because it can cover up the darker circles under her eyes when it's demanded, or can hide the odd scars around her skin and neck. Making less questions when needing to hide them.
~CANDY: Elderberry Jam While it technically does not count as candy, in this case for how she eats it, it does. Darck loves Elderberry items in general, loves all of them, but jam specifically she will put a spoon in and eat straight. It's... A comfort food, and a reminder of better days. Hold over from humanity and younger years.
~ICE CUBE SHAPE: Crushed Easier to mix with, and smaller bits to put into things. As well as an easy way to work out frustration, by crushing ice in her hand, or biting down and crunching it, and letting it melt, the cold temp cooling her off. Helps a lot when needing to work in hotter climates.
~ART STYLE: Sketched Lines, Carvings Sketches of people and places to compare things, and keep close always, if photos fail. As well as making carvings and smaller gifts or engravings, just to give others.
~MYTHOLOGICAL CREATURE: Gryphon + Dragon Grphons, with the body of a lion, the wings and head of and eagle; representing the kings of both animals and the birds. They may also bear the ears of a horse. Known for guarding, protection, and loyalty, griffins are protectors from evil, slander, and witchcraft as well. Some symbolism depicts both the divine and the human. In heraldry, griffin stands for courage, leadership and strength. Pictured as fierce, they have gained respect over ages too. A Dragon can mean both good and bad in equal measure, with a similar spirit animal and spirit guide being found in the fierce and protective Lion. Dragon's often times are depicted as destructive, territorial, cunning, and dangerous by it's enemies. Capable of bringing about great pain and sorrow. But for an ally, the Dragon can be protective, representing hoards of what it holds dear, and a deep wisdom for survival and an apex predator. A valiant protector and violent towards its enemies.
~PIECE OF STATIONARY: Writing paper, Letters Papyrus, printer paper, freshly written letters to be sent, typewriters and ink ribbons- anything for writing. As that has been Darck's go to of her open original communication with friends and loved ones when trapped, or too scared and shy to show herself in some instances. A safety net, to still communicate. And even to this day when able to be in person, still with this method come into play, often leaving notes and letters for others.
~THREE EMOJIS: 🦇🕶☕️
~CELESTIAL BODY: Moon + Pluto Moon: emotion The moon is also not a planet by scientific measures—but in astrology, it functions similarly as an influential celestial body. In this case, it reflects our emotions, senses, instincts, intuition, and unconscious selves, says Lang. Pluto: rebirth While it may not be scientifically classified as a planet anymore, Pluto plays a similar role within the astrology space—in this case ruling over regenerative forces in the body, death, and rebirth, says Lang: “It relates to the deep psychological aspect of ourselves and the unconscious.”
interior decorating,
interior decorating,
Interior decorating is the art of enhancing the interior of a space to create a more aesthetically pleasing and functional environment. It goes beyond just filling a room with furniture; it’s about balancing colors, textures, and lighting to bring out the best in any given space. Whether it's a cozy living room, a vibrant office, or a relaxing bedroom, interior decorating can transform ordinary rooms into extraordinary spaces.
The Essentials of Interior Decorating
To create a well-decorated room, there are several fundamental principles to consider:
Color Scheme The color palette you choose for a space sets the tone and mood. Warm tones like red, orange, and yellow tend to energize a room, while cool tones like blue, green, and purple promote calm and relaxation. Neutral colors like white, gray, and beige can offer a timeless, sophisticated base for a variety of accents and textures. A cohesive color scheme is vital for creating harmony in any space.
Furniture Selection The furniture you choose plays a major role in defining the style and functionality of a room. While comfort is key, style matters as well. Opt for pieces that align with the room’s intended use and overall aesthetic. For example, a minimalist space may benefit from sleek, modern furniture, while a traditional room may be best suited to classic wood pieces.
Textures and Fabrics A combination of different textures can add richness and depth to a room. Think of mixing soft, plush fabrics like velvet with coarser materials like linen or jute. Textured rugs, throw pillows, and curtains can also introduce new layers of interest and warmth, making a space feel more inviting.
Lighting Lighting is one of the most important yet often overlooked elements in interior decorating. A well-lit room not only serves a functional purpose but can also enhance the aesthetic appeal. Layered lighting — from overhead lights, table lamps, and accent lighting — adds dimension and allows you to adjust the ambiance based on the time of day or occasion.
Artwork and Accessories Art and accessories can make a space feel personal and unique. Artwork, whether it’s a painting, sculpture, or photograph, provides a focal point for a room and can communicate your personality or interests. Accessories such as vases, books, and candles help pull the entire look together, adding those final touches of charm.
Popular Interior Decorating Styles
Each interior decorating style has its own distinct features, allowing homeowners to choose what resonates with them most. Some of the popular styles include:
Modern Modern interiors focus on clean lines, neutral colors, and a minimalist approach. Functionality is emphasized without sacrificing aesthetic appeal, often incorporating sleek furniture, glass, metal, and natural elements like wood and stone.
Bohemian Bohemian decorating is all about eclectic, free-spirited vibes. It mixes vibrant colors, rich patterns, and a blend of cultural influences. Think of a space filled with vintage pieces, layered textiles, plants, and an abundance of creative expression.
Industrial The industrial style draws inspiration from urban lofts and warehouses, often featuring exposed brick walls, steel beams, and rustic wooden furniture. This style favors raw, unfinished elements and embraces the beauty in imperfection.
Traditional Traditional interiors are timeless and elegant. With classic furniture, warm wood tones, and rich color palettes, this style emphasizes symmetry and balance, often incorporating antiques and fine detailing.
Coastal Coastal interiors evoke the feel of the beach with light, airy spaces and a soothing color palette of blues, whites, and sandy neutrals. Natural materials like wicker, driftwood, and linen are commonly used, creating a serene and breezy atmosphere.
Tips for Successful Interior Decorating
Plan Your Layout Before you start decorating, map out the layout of the room. Consider the room’s size, shape, and how you want to use the space. Furniture should be arranged in a way that encourages flow and maximizes both function and comfort.
Incorporate Personal Touches Don’t be afraid to infuse your personality into your decor. Family heirlooms, travel souvenirs, or unique items you’ve collected over the years can make a room feel more personal and authentic.
Use the Rule of Three The rule of three is a design principle that suggests odd numbers are more visually appealing than even numbers. Grouping objects or decorations in sets of three can create balance and harmony within a space.
Focus on One Focal Point Every room needs a focal point, whether it’s a beautiful piece of furniture, artwork, or a striking light fixture. This gives the eye something to rest on and helps the room feel more cohesive.
Don’t Overcrowd Less is often more when it comes to interior decorating. Avoid overcrowding a room with too many pieces of furniture or excessive decor. Give each element room to breathe, allowing for both functionality and aesthetics to shine.
Conclusion
Interior decorating is an exciting journey that allows you to express your creativity while making your home or office a more functional and comfortable space. By keeping in mind the principles of design and understanding the different styles, you can create a space that reflects your personality and meets your practical needs. Whether you're starting from scratch or just looking to refresh a room, interior decorating offers endless possibilities for turning any space into a work of art.
Gemstone Engagement Rings: A Unique Choice for Your Forever
When selecting the perfect engagement ring, many couples opt for the traditional diamond. However, many people are choosing gemstone engagement rings for their individuality, color, and unique beauty. Gemstones can offer a variety of meanings and aesthetics, allowing couples to select a piece that speaks to their style and values.
Tumblr media
The Beauty of Gemstone Engagement Rings
Gemstone engagement rings are as diverse as the stones they feature. From the timeless elegance of sapphires to the vibrant richness of emeralds and rubies, gemstones offer a wider range of colors and styles compared to diamonds. This makes them a perfect option for couples who want something distinctive.
One of the key benefits of gemstones is their wide array of colors. Whether you’re drawn to cool blues, deep greens, fiery reds, or even soft pinks and purples, there is a gemstone to match every personality and preference. The possibilities are endless, allowing couples to express their individuality through their engagement ring.
Popular Gemstones for Engagement Rings
While there are countless gemstones to choose from, some stand out as particularly popular choices for engagement rings due to their beauty, durability, and symbolism.
1. Sapphire: The Classic Choice
Sapphires have long been associated with wisdom, loyalty, and nobility. Known for their stunning blue hues, sapphires are not just beautiful but also incredibly durable, making them an excellent choice for everyday wear. The most famous sapphire engagement ring is the one worn by Kate Middleton, which was previously owned by Princess Diana, showing that sapphires can carry a touch of royal charm.
2. Emerald: The Symbol of Rebirth and Love
Emeralds are prized for their rich, green color, which symbolizes growth, renewal, and love. As one of the “big four” precious gemstones (along with diamonds, rubies, and sapphires), emeralds are both luxurious and meaningful. Though emeralds are a bit softer than sapphires, they remain a popular choice due to their stunning color and unique character.
3. Ruby: The Gemstone of Passion
Rubies are often seen as the gemstones of passion and love, with their deep red tones representing fire, vitality, and desire. A ruby engagement ring is perfect for those looking for a statement piece with powerful symbolism. Rubies are also relatively durable and can withstand the wear and tear of daily life.
4. Aquamarine: The Ocean’s Tranquility
Aquamarine may be the perfect choice for those who prefer something light and refreshing. Known for its pale blue color, reminiscent of the ocean, aquamarine is said to bring peace and calm. Its delicate, serene look makes it an elegant alternative to the classic diamond engagement ring.
5. Amethyst: The Purple Beauty
Amethyst, with its rich purple hues, is often associated with tranquility, spiritual growth, and clarity of mind. It’s a striking gemstone that appeals to those who want something both colorful and meaningful. Amethysts are durable and perfect for anyone seeking a more affordable yet still luxurious engagement ring.
Why Choose a Gemstone Engagement Ring?
There are many reasons why couples are opting for gemstone engagement rings over traditional diamond rings:
Personal Expression: Gemstones allow for personal expression. Whether it’s a favorite color, a meaningful stone, or a piece that reflects your unique relationship, gemstone engagement rings let you infuse more of your personality into your selection.
More Affordable Options: While diamonds are beautiful and timeless, they can be expensive. Gemstones offer an affordable alternative, allowing couples to find a stunning engagement ring without breaking the bank. Many gemstones are more budget-friendly than diamonds, making them an accessible choice.
Variety and Customization: Gemstones are available in a range of shapes, sizes, and colors. This provides ample opportunity for customization. Couples can select a stone that complements their tastes and preferences and create a truly one-of-a-kind ring.
Symbolic Meaning: Each gemstone carries its symbolism, often tied to positive emotions, birthstones, or cultural significance. By choosing a gemstone engagement ring, couples can select a stone with a personal or emotional meaning that resonates with them.
Considerations When Choosing a Gemstone Engagement Ring
While gemstone engagement rings offer many benefits, there are a few important factors to consider before making your purchase.
Durability: Gemstones vary in terms of hardness, which can affect their durability. For example, diamonds are the hardest known substance, while stones like emeralds and opals are softer. If your gemstone is softer, it may require extra care to avoid scratching or damage.
Stone Treatment: Some gemstones are treated to enhance their color and clarity. It’s important to inquire about any treatments that may have been applied to a stone to ensure you understand the potential impact on its longevity.
Setting: The setting plays a significant role in protecting your gemstone and enhancing its beauty. Choose a setting that complements the stone and protects it from damage while allowing light to highlight its natural brilliance.
Conclusion
Gemstone engagement rings from Royal Jaipuri are a beautiful, meaningful, and unique choice for couples seeking something beyond the traditional diamond. With their wide range of colors, symbolic meanings, and affordable prices. Whether you choose a sapphire, emerald, ruby, or any other gemstone, you’re sure to find a piece that feels as special as your commitment to each other.
Seasonal Flowers in Pearland: What’s Blooming Now?
Have you ever strolled through Pearland florist and noticed how the scenery transforms with each season? Seasonal flowers play a huge part in making this city a vibrant, ever-changing tapestry of color. From the bright yellows of spring to the rich reds of fall, there’s always something blooming in Pearland. Let’s take a journey through the year to discover what’s blooming now and how you can enjoy or even grow these gorgeous flowers yourself.
Tumblr media
Spring Blooms in Pearland
Spring in Pearland is like nature’s grand opening act. The cool air and gentle sunshine bring an explosion of color to gardens and fields.
Bluebonnets are the show-stoppers of spring. These iconic Texas flowers blanket fields with a sea of blue and are a photographer's dream. Alongside them, you’ll find daffodils, with their cheerful yellow petals that seem to announce, “Spring is here!”
Then there are the azaleas, known for their stunning clusters of pink, red, and white flowers. These blooms thrive in Pearland’s mild spring weather, making them a favorite for landscaping and public gardens.
Summer Blossoms to Brighten Your Day
When summer rolls in with its sweltering heat, you might think flowers would wilt under the pressure. Not in Pearland! This is when the hardy, heat-loving blooms take center stage.
Hibiscus flowers are tropical beauties that thrive in the Texas sun. Their large, vibrant petals bring a touch of paradise to any yard. Similarly, sunflowers are summer staples, standing tall and proud with their bright yellow faces turned toward the sun.
Don’t forget zinnias! These low-maintenance flowers come in nearly every color you can imagine and keep blooming all summer long. They’re perfect for adding a pop of color to your garden or even as cut flowers in your home.
Fall Flowers in Pearland
As the temperatures drop and the days grow shorter, Pearland undergoes a cozy transformation. The flowers of fall embrace warm, earthy tones that complement the season perfectly.
Chrysanthemums, or “mums” for short, are the quintessential fall flower. They come in shades of orange, yellow, and deep red, adding an autumnal touch to gardens and porches.
Then there are marigolds, with their fiery orange and gold hues. These blooms not only brighten up the season but are also known for repelling pests, making them a gardener’s best friend.
Lastly, pansies emerge as a cold-weather favorite. With their delicate petals and vibrant colors, they’re a great way to keep your garden lively as fall transitions into winter.
Winter Wonders: Blooms for the Cooler Months
Winter in Pearland doesn’t mean the end of flowers. In fact, some hardy blooms thrive in the cooler months, bringing life to an otherwise dormant season.
Camellias are winter show-offs with their elegant, rose-like blooms in shades of pink, red, and white. These evergreen shrubs can brighten up any garden during the colder months.
Snapdragons also thrive in the winter, offering a range of colors from pastel pinks to deep purples. Their unique, dragon-shaped flowers add a whimsical touch to flower beds.
Finally, violas are small but mighty. These delicate blooms withstand chilly temperatures and provide a splash of color when most plants are hibernating.
Tips for Growing Seasonal Flowers in Pearland
Want to bring some of Pearland’s seasonal beauty into your own yard? Here are a few tips to help you get started:
Choose the Right Flowers for the Season: Select plants that thrive in Pearland’s climate and seasonal conditions. Spring flowers like daffodils and bluebonnets require cooler weather, while hibiscus and zinnias love the summer heat.
Prepare the Soil: Good soil is the foundation of a thriving garden. Use compost to enrich the soil and ensure proper drainage to keep roots healthy.
Water Wisely: Each flower has different water needs. Summer blooms might need more frequent watering, while winter flowers like violas can handle less.
Protect from Pests: Keep an eye out for insects or animals that might damage your flowers. Marigolds, for instance, can act as a natural pest deterrent.
Keep It Simple: If you’re new to gardening, start with low-maintenance flowers like zinnias or pansies. They’re forgiving and rewarding for beginners.
Conclusion
Pearland’s seasonal flowers are more than just pretty sights; they’re nature’s way of marking the passage of time. Each season brings its own palette of colors, textures, and fragrances, turning this Texas city into a year-round floral wonderland.
So, why not take a stroll through Pearland’s parks or visit a local nursery to see what’s blooming now? Better yet, grab a trowel and some seeds to start your own garden. Trust us—there’s nothing more satisfying than watching your yard transform with each season.
Tumblr media
Platinum has long been a symbol of sophistication and luxury, prized for its durability, natural brilliance, and timeless appeal. While classic platinum rings remain a popular choice for those seeking understated elegance, adding gemstone accents takes their allure to a whole new level. Platinum rings with gemstone accents are perfect for individuals who want to make a bold statement, celebrate personal style, or incorporate a meaningful touch into their jewelry.
This article delves into the world of platinum rings with gemstone accents, exploring their unique charm, popular gemstone choices, and tips for selecting the perfect piece.
Why Choose Platinum Rings with Gemstone Accents?
Gemstone-accented platinum rings blend the purity and resilience of platinum with the vibrant beauty of gemstones. This combination offers several benefits:
Enhanced Aesthetic Appeal: Gemstones add color and personality, creating a striking contrast against platinum’s brilliant white hue.
Symbolic Meaning: Many gemstones carry symbolic meanings, making them a meaningful addition to your ring.
Durability: Platinum’s strength ensures that gemstone settings are secure, making it ideal for long-term wear.
Versatility: Whether for engagements, weddings, or everyday wear, these rings cater to various styles and occasions.
Popular Gemstones for Platinum Rings
When selecting gemstones to accent platinum rings, the possibilities are endless. Here are some of the most popular choices:
1. Diamonds
Diamonds are a classic choice for platinum rings, often used as central stones or as accents to enhance other gemstones. Their brilliance and durability make them a timeless favorite.
Why It Works: The white sparkle of diamonds complements the natural sheen of platinum, creating an elegant and luxurious look.
2. Sapphires
Known for their deep blue hue, sapphires symbolize loyalty, wisdom, and nobility. Platinum sapphire rings are a sophisticated choice for engagements and special occasions.
Style Tip: Pair a central sapphire with diamond accents for a stunning contrast.
3. Emeralds
Emeralds, with their rich green color, exude elegance and sophistication. They represent growth, prosperity, and love.
Why It Works: Platinum’s neutral tone highlights the vivid green of emeralds, making them pop.
4. Rubies
Rubies are associated with passion, love, and vitality. Their striking red hue creates a bold and romantic look when paired with platinum.
Style Tip: Choose a ruby-accented platinum ring for anniversaries or as a statement piece.
5. Amethysts
The purple hues of amethysts symbolize clarity, calmness, and creativity. They add a regal touch to platinum rings.
Why It Works: Amethysts offer a unique color option that stands out while remaining elegant.
6. Aquamarine
Aquamarines, with their serene blue tones, evoke a sense of tranquility and harmony. They are a perfect choice for modern, minimalist designs.
Style Tip: Pair aquamarines with platinum for a fresh, contemporary look.
Popular Designs for Platinum Rings with Gemstone Accents
Halo Rings A central gemstone surrounded by smaller diamond accents creates a halo effect, adding depth and sparkle to the ring.
Three-Stone Rings Featuring a central gemstone flanked by two smaller stones, this design symbolizes the past, present, and future.
Pavé Settings Small gemstones are set close together, creating a continuous sparkle that enhances the central stone.
Bezel Settings Gemstones are encased in a platinum rim, offering a sleek and secure design that’s perfect for active lifestyles.
Mixed Gemstone Rings Combine two or more gemstone types for a vibrant and eclectic look, such as emeralds with diamonds or rubies with sapphires.
How to Choose the Perfect Platinum Ring with Gemstone Accents
Consider the Occasion: Select designs that suit the purpose of the ring, whether for engagements, weddings, or everyday wear.
Think About Symbolism: Choose gemstones that hold personal or emotional significance.
Prioritize Durability: Opt for harder gemstones like diamonds, sapphires, or rubies for rings intended for frequent wear.
Focus on Quality: Ensure both the platinum and gemstones are certified for authenticity and quality.
Match Your Style: Whether you prefer vintage designs or modern minimalism, choose a ring that resonates with your personal aesthetic.
Caring for Platinum Rings with Gemstone Accents
Regular Cleaning: Clean your ring using mild soap and a soft brush to maintain its brilliance.
Professional Maintenance: Have your ring checked periodically by a jeweler to ensure the gemstones remain securely set.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Remove your ring when using cleaning products or engaging in activities that may damage the gemstones.
How to Choose the Perfect Ink for Your Fountain Pen
Fountain pens offer a unique writing experience that many enthusiasts describe as luxurious, expressive, and personal. One of the key elements to achieving that perfect writing experience is choosing the right ink for your pen. The right ink not only enhances your pen's performance but also reflects your style and preferences. With hundreds of inks available, it can be overwhelming to select the perfect one. In this guide, we will walk you through important considerations and tips to help you choose the best ink for your fountain pen.
1. Understand Ink Properties
Before diving into different brands and colors, it’s crucial to understand the properties of fountain pen ink. Fountain pen ink is water-based and can have different characteristics that affect the writing experience. Some of the key properties to consider include:
Flow: How smoothly the ink flows through the nib onto the paper. Inks with good flow provide a consistent line, while others might feel too dry or too wet.
Dry Time: How quickly the ink dries on paper. If you're left-handed or use specific types of paper, a fast-drying ink may be preferable.
Saturation: How deep and vibrant the ink color appears. More saturated inks are intense, while less saturated inks may appear softer or lighter.
Shading: This refers to the variation in color intensity within a stroke of ink. Some inks produce beautiful shading, where parts of the letter appear darker or lighter based on pressure and flow.
Sheen: Some inks develop a reflective, metallic look once dried, especially on certain papers. Sheen can be striking and add a unique flair to your writing.
Water Resistance: Depending on your needs, you may want an ink that is waterproof or one that washes away easily. Some inks are more water-resistant than others, making them suitable for legal documents or important notes.
2. Consider Your Fountain Pen
Fountain pens come in a variety of nib sizes, shapes, and designs, and the ink you choose should complement your pen's performance. Broad nibs typically lay down more ink and can handle more viscous or slower-drying inks without causing issues like feathering or bleeding. On the other hand, fine or extra-fine nibs might perform better with drier inks that don’t overwhelm the thin lines they produce.
When trying out a new ink, always test it in your specific fountain pen. Some pens may react differently to certain inks depending on the nib design and feed system. For instance, vintage pens with older feeds might be more sensitive to modern, highly saturated inks.
3. Paper Choice Matters
The type of paper you use also plays a significant role in determining the best ink for your fountain pen. High-quality, fountain-pen-friendly paper, like Rhodia or Clairefontaine, can handle wetter inks and offer smooth writing with minimal feathering or bleeding. If you use regular office paper or cheaper notebooks, you might want to opt for a drier ink to avoid unsightly smudging and feathering.
Inks that have a sheen or heavy shading often look their best on smoother, higher-quality papers where the ink can pool slightly and show off its characteristics.
4. Choosing the Right Color
Ink colors go beyond the standard blue and black. Today, fountain pen inks come in an incredible array of colors, allowing writers to express their personalities, moods, or specific purposes. When choosing ink colors, consider the following:
Traditional Colors: Blue and black are classic and are perfect for professional settings, official documents, or everyday writing.
Earth Tones: Browns, greens, and grays offer a more subdued and natural palette, perfect for journaling or creative writing.
Bold Colors: Bright reds, oranges, or purples make a statement and can be used for headings, editing, or just adding some fun to your notes.
Pastel and Light Shades: Light pinks, baby blues, and other pastel shades can provide a delicate, airy feel but may be harder to read on white paper.
5. Specialty Inks
Beyond the basic properties, there are specialty inks designed for specific effects or purposes:
Shimmering Inks: These inks contain tiny particles that add sparkle and shine to your writing. They can be stunning, but it’s important to clean your fountain pen more frequently when using shimmering inks to avoid clogging.
Iron Gall Inks: Traditionally used for important documents due to their archival quality, iron gall inks are permanent and darken over time. However, they can be more acidic and may cause damage to certain pens if not used and maintained properly.
Scented Inks: Some inks are infused with pleasant fragrances, adding a sensory experience to your writing. While these are fun, ensure they don’t contain additives that could harm your pen.
6. Brand Considerations
There are numerous reputable brands known for producing high-quality fountain pen inks. Some of the most popular include:
Pilot Iroshizuku: Known for their beautiful, well-behaved inks that offer a variety of colors with great flow and shading.
Diamine: Offers a wide range of colors and properties, with both standard and shimmering options.
J. Herbin: One of the oldest ink brands, producing a wide range of colors and specialty inks like shimmer and scented varieties.
Noodler’s: Famous for their bold colors and permanent inks. Noodler’s inks are highly saturated, so care must be taken with pen maintenance.
7. Test Before You Buy
If possible, always test an ink before purchasing a full bottle. Many fountain pen shops and online retailers offer ink samples that allow you to try out a small amount before committing. This will give you a chance to see how the ink performs with your pen and paper.
Conclusion
Choosing the perfect ink for your fountain pen is a highly personal decision, but it’s also a fun journey. Whether you prefer traditional black or an eye-catching shimmer, the ink you select will shape your writing experience. Consider factors like ink flow, paper choice, and nib size, and don’t be afraid to experiment with different brands and colors. With the right ink, your fountain pen will feel like an extension of your hand, offering a writing experience that is uniquely yours.
