I don't normally have a lot to say on social media, but recent events have made me feel more like I have something to say. I've been thinking a lot lately about what it means to follow your visions of your true self. In my life, while I have always felt provided for and cared for, I have had a lot of things that should have brought me down stand in my way. Then, I remember all of the reasons why I am still standing here, still moving forward. I have an incredible community of supportive women and men surrounding me, loving me, and encouraging me. I have a loving Father that no matter my struggles has always been the backbone of what I believe and who I am. And I also have my own mind that is always complex, learning, and moving forward. It saddens me that I cannot be where I want to be today, but it spurs me forward to know that people and communities can band together in the pursuit of making this a better world for everyone.
