I don't get how you can support Ze in that thing?!? Or how can keep supporting him. On which side are you on???
I'm on both sides and no sides at all. Both sides are understandable but both sides fucked up.
And why shouldn't I keep supporting Ze in general?!
Was the comment okay the way he said at infront of the UN? No. But it still holds truth. The whole grain fight benefits Russia and with blocking Ukrainian grain it also helps Russia in the war because Ukraine doesn't get the money from the (non) sold grain for financing the war. Of course, this doesn't make Poland a Russian puppet or anything. Which Ze, btw, never said. His statement was misinterpreted so many times ... . He said the behaviour of some countries is helping to "set the stage for a Moscow actor". Which is essential true, even thought Ze voiced it the completely wrong way.
Maybe Ze actually meant countries like Hungary. Maybe he didn't. In the end, now it doesn't matter any longer. He fucked up royally with that statement and should have known, especially with the tension before, that people would think he talks about Poland. Which he did, with the wording he used.
And if he really feels that way he should have told Duda in private. Send a strong worded WhatsApp or a voice message rant. But don't say something like that during the UNGA, infront of everyone. Especially after Poland just gave a support speech for you.
Same goes for Duda. You can't give a support speech infront of UNGA and be all about "We have to support Ukraine and show empathy and sympathy" and everything ... and then say in an interview that Ukraine is like a drowning man when they literally fight for their survival (because, hello!, genocidial war). And again, yes, Duda's metaphor was fitting but the wording, timing and place was just wrong. Tell Ze to get it together and get a grip in private and convince him, you only wanna help but you can't if the farmers at home start a rebellion in private. But don't take it to a public stage (applies to both of them).
In the end, I think way before Duda and Ze got involved, several people fucked up and said stuff that's not okay. And some point it was no longer about a problem that can be solved by negotiations and talks. It became personal and emotional and some people's ego and pride was way too big.
In a recent interview Ze mentioned that he understand perfectly well the tension the upcoming election causes and this is thr root for certain things happening. Problem is, as it seems so, not everyone gets that. And it started to escalate and escalate until Duda and Ze got involved into the mess other people caused.
That the media or journalists or other politicans are now fueling the fire with fake news, false informations, statements that can be easily taken out of the context ("we send no more weapons") and so on, is not helping at all.
Both sides are in a difficult position. If Poland blocks the grain from their market, they protect their farmers but hurt the Ukrainian economy badly and Ukraine doesn't have the money for the war, which helps Russia.
If Poland allows the grain on their market, Ukraine does get the money, but it hurts the Polish economy badly which causes problems with their farmers and the support for Ukraine in general, which again helps Russia.
So yeah, I understand both sides. I also understand both President's for trying to protect their countries interests and putting them first. Because for Ukraine, this is about surviving and their existence. And for Poland this is about Ukraine and their survival and existence. If Poland allows this now, this could hurt the support in the long term because people could be against it. But if Poland blocks it, it hurts the support right now and (at least in the moment) also the support long term, because of the fighting.
Ze and Duda need to come together, hug it out and find a solution that's fine for both sides and doesn't hurt the support or the friendship.
It shouldn't be "us against them". It should be "us against Russia".
All that being said: Ze fucked up. Yes. So? He's also just human. That man is going through hell for more than 500 days and has probably trauma we can't even imagine. And one bad thing shouldn't erase the 100 good things he did and said. It was Ze, after all, who worked a lot to strenghten that friendship and make these two countries closer again. And he did a lot of other good things (isn't it funny how quickly people forgot the remembrance service with Duda that was literally historical?!).
I wish people would give Ze a break and don't always expect him to be some mystical creature who is the definition of perfection and never makes mistakes.
And honestly, give him some slack. The man travelled to the UN in the middle of a war were he had to face Russia and a bunch of pro-Russian countries and their bullshit, had to try to get UN and UNSC involved, giving speeches in English all the time, holding important negotiations all while preparing the visit to Biden. And God knows what else was going on behind the scenes (Ukraine getting bombed, the war, Olena hurting herself, ...).
Critize him all you want (in a fair way!) But geeez. Let the man breathe and don't cancel him every time he isn't picture perfect.
In the end - we need more of that again:

How is water pollution impacting our lives?
Water, the lifeblood of our planet, sustains all forms of life and is vital to our well-being. However, in recent years, the alarming rise of water pollution has cast a dark shadow over this precious resource. In this blog post, we’ll explore the multifaceted impact of water pollution on our lives and the environment, shedding light on a growing global crisis.
Health Implications of Water Pollution
Water pollution introduces a plethora of contaminants into our water sources. These contaminants can include toxic chemicals, heavy metals, and pathogens, leading to waterborne diseases like cholera, dysentery, and hepatitis. The prevalence of these diseases due to polluted water takes a toll on public health and places an immense burden on healthcare systems.
Environmental Consequences
The devastating effects of water pollution extend to our natural world. Aquatic ecosystems, from rivers and lakes to oceans, suffer greatly. Polluted water disrupts the delicate balance of these environments, leading to habitat degradation and the decline of aquatic species. The disruption of the food chain has far-reaching consequences, impacting both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
Economic Impact
Water pollution comes with a hefty price tag. Treating and cleaning polluted water sources incurs substantial costs, which are ultimately borne by governments and taxpayers. Beyond this, tourism and recreational activities centered around clean water bodies are negatively affected, resulting in economic losses. The agricultural and fishing industries also suffer as pollution can contaminate crops and reduce fish populations.
Water Scarcity and Pollution
Water pollution and water scarcity are intrinsically linked. Polluted water sources exacerbate shortages, making clean water even scarcer in regions already facing water stress. The global water crisis is compounded by pollution, making it imperative to address both issues simultaneously.
Social and Humanitarian Aspects
Access to clean water is a basic human right. However, water pollution disproportionately affects vulnerable communities, often lacking the resources to combat its consequences. This exacerbates social inequalities and raises important questions about environmental justice.
Regulatory Efforts and Policy Measures
Governments and international bodies have recognized the urgency of tackling water pollution. Regulatory frameworks and policies aim to control pollution, but challenges in enforcing and implementing these measures persist. Stricter regulations and better enforcement are essential steps in the right direction.
Technological Solutions and Innovations
Innovative technologies hold promise in the fight against water pollution. Advanced water treatment and purification techniques are continually being developed, along with innovations in wastewater management. These solutions are critical in mitigating the impact of pollution.
Personal Responsibility and Lifestyle Choices
Individuals can also contribute to reducing water pollution. Simple lifestyle changes like reducing water waste, responsible disposal of pollutants, and advocating for clean water initiatives can make a significant difference. Awareness and education play a crucial role in encouraging personal responsibility.
Water pollution is a pervasive and complex issue with profound implications for our health, environment, economy, and society. To address this crisis, collective efforts are required, spanning governments, industries, communities, and individuals. As stewards of our planet, it is our responsibility to safeguard this invaluable resource and ensure a cleaner, healthier future for all. TIME KEEPERS
(Chapter-1)~~Save the orb…
(Episode-1)~~the night staff…
Before we begin I want to tell you about…Time keepers.
Time keepers are those humans who have the power to control time, and they can also make anyone do time travel. They protect a round ball, they call it 'the orb'. They believe all of their powers come from the orb, and if it breaks so the whole universe will be paused….
The keepers live among other common humans with a secret identity. They are not permitted to tell anyone about their true self.
If anyone tried to disobey this rule so he will be punished. They will be sent inside the black hole for the rest of their life as a punish.
Now let's begin the story…
A long ago in the galaxy…there was a planet known as 'hadees'.
It was a planet with only dust and storms…The planet was the hideout of some Raiders.
Raiders are those humans who have an outstanding ability of mind controlling ,telepathy, and a great intelligence. But on the other hand they all are thieves who stole the resources of humans and some keepers.
But they are not strong enough to fight with royal keepers, who protects the castle of time.
The orb and other legendary items are in the castle of time, because it is the most safe and protected place in the whole universe…
The raiders want the orb of time so they can rule the universe.
Raider 1: sir!! I have a really bad news and a good news…
Raider 2: tell the bad one first…
Raider 1: the resources that we stole from the humans are destroyed, but…
Raider 2: You Idiot how???they are destroyed.!!!
Raider 1: sorry sir…but the keepers attacked on our space craft..
Raider 2: those puny keepers…aaaagghhh I will kill them all…aaahhh
leader of raiders: relax hunter, let him tell the good one…
Hunter: how can we relax…we lost our ship and resources…Ok..ok..tell the good one, fast….ghghgh
Raider 1: sir we had known the secret spell to make a portal that connects the black hole to our universe, and opens a passage to cross….
Leader: What!!! It is a very good news…
Everyone there will be a great feast tonight … And tomorrow will be the day to make a step towards our victory…ahahahhaaah.
Crowd of raiders: yeeeaaaahhhh victory will be ours….hahahaha…
Hunter: but, what are the requirements to cast that spell.
Raider 1: I only know the recipe but I could not cast the spell sir, only dark mage ''voda" can cast the spell.
Leader: tell us the recipe, I will talk to voda later…
Raider 3: we need a drop of blood of an inocent kid, and night staff, and some sacrifices…
Now the story moves to a little boy…
Whose name is 'Peter', Peter is a very shy type kid who always play in his own world, the world of his imagination. He always mutters alone… His parents, Mr. Harry Gilbert and Ms. Veronica Gilbert are always worried of him. Because he never go outside and he don't talk to anyone. He don't have any friends though…
Mr. Harry: Veronica don't you think that our son is different…
Mr. Veronica: What do you mean by that?? What's weird..? He is just like a normal kid….
Mr. Harry: No..no I didn't meant that, I am just saying that he never go and play outside… He is in 4 standard now! And he still don't have any friends…
Ms. Veronica: Yeah I see… Should we talk to him.
Mr. Harry: I don't think so… We should spend some more time with him, when will his winter breaks over..?
Ms. Veronica: they are almost over,..
After 1 week…
The winter vacations were over. And schools are open again,
Peter enters in class and bashes into a boy gipson, the bad…very bad boy. Always likes to tease everyone, and fighting and beating is his partime job…
Peter: oh!! Sorry… I'm really sorry.
Gipson: (holding Peter's tie) how you think that I will leave you…you blind kid.
( their teacher enters in the class) GIPSON!!! leave Peter right away I said..
Gipson: (leaving Peter) he attacked on me first, teacher..
Teacher: I don't want any excuses come with me in principle's office right now.!!
Whole class started laughing at Gipson…
Gipson: (staring Peter in an angry way) I will talk to you later blind…
Then Peter goes back and sat on his bench and took his books out. The fist period ended. A boy sitted next to Peter talks to him…
The boy: Hi my name is Garry!. I see how you gave that fat tummy a detention, would you mind be my friend…?
Peter: ok I will be your friend…(in a shy way).
Then a girl came up to him and said.
the girl: hi my name is Matilda. Will you be my friend too….??
Peter: yes I will be your friend too…my name is Peter.
Garry: alright we all three are friends now… Good.
Matilda: Ok then we will meet in 'Orin park' at 5'O clock evening…
Garry: done
Matilda: and you Peter…???
peter: Ok I will come.
Then the class started and it's lunch time, everyone took out their lunch,
Everyone hides some of their lunch…
Then Gipson enters in class and came in front of Peter. He took Peter's all lunch and thew it on the ground. And warns him and then went away and ate other students lunch…
Matilda: don't worry, he is just a bully. You can have my lunch
peter: thank you…
Garry: don't thank that's what friends are for…
Then the lunch time overs and then, the school overs. Peter went back home and hug his mother tight and said in a very happy way, "momy, today I make two new friends Matilda and Garry". His mother was very happy to see his son this Happy. Then Peter said that today he will go to park at 5'O clock. His mother said ok son you may go…(feels very happy inside).
Then the seen shifts to a keeper.
Keeper: (picking up a call) Hello?
mysterious voice: we are in danger head back to castle right now,!!!
Keeper: O….ok..ok( in panic) I'm coming.
Then he rushes to an old temple, and said something in front of a statue. Then everything stops for a sec and a green bright light falls on that keeper, and at another moment Keeper's outfit changes from an ordinary outfit to a legendary socerer's Armor. Then a legendary white crystal clear light falls on the keeper and the keeper vanishes from the earth…
Then the keeper appears inside the castle and two keepers came to him.
keeper 1: sir Hitch, we are under attack raider army attacked on the castle.
keeper 2: my lord, they have some new and powerfull weapons and are way more powerfull than before…
Hitch: ok let me handle this……
Then hitch rushes towards the gate. Then he saw the raiders who are in very big prototype Armor, and with a laser blaster. Then hitch said in a loud way "You all raiders, I'm giving you last warning go back or I will make you pay".
raiders: what can you do stupid mage…
Then Hitch said "orb of time, give me the power" and then he cast a spell and everything stopped including other keepers instead of Hitch, then some green light came out of him. And the time went back to normal. Everyone was shocked that what happened? Then Hitch became an very huge green giant.
And roars at all of the raiders.
All of the raiders got silent for an moment but the they all attacked with an great force…but they have no match. The keepers all attacked they all make their speed faster than the speed of light…
Raiders stand no chance they loose the war and go back. Hitch went back in normal form and then come back to earth in a sec.
But on earth there is only half a sec has passed.
Then all the raiders came back to their leader and said, sir we loose the war.
Their leader laughed very loud. Everyone was shocked that why is he laughing.
raider: sir why are you laughing????
leader: (showing them the night staff) the war was only a distraction, we was supposed to steal the night staff from them. In order to cast the spell.hahahhaa
raiders: hahahahah!!!!!
Willl be continued….. END of Ep.1

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
After the strange discovery of Rose in Adrian’s room, and the conversation that followed with her, I couldn’t seem to get the young dhampir off my mind. Most of the day was spent with other guardians, working over logistics and plans for possibly pursing the Strigoi. Or at the very least, keeping the resort as well protected as possible. It quickly became obvious that the biggest threat to the Moroi under the Idaho’s ski resort’s roof was actually themselves. Their squabbles over the politics that surrounded the attacks, and how best to deal with them, turned into full blown arguments at every turn. Some even resorted to physical fights. It was a mess, and certainly enough to occupy my mind.
Except my thoughts continually returned to her.
The revelation that I was actually jealous of Adrian nearly knocked me off balance. Jealousy wasn’t something I felt often and it gnawed at me constantly, making my insides ache. Fortunately, guardian training came with emotional temperament and I was able to hide all such traces of emotions.
Though Tasha’s hopes of rescuing me away to play pool that afternoon were dashed, she was able to get me away for lunch. It was nice being with her, pretending that the rest of our problems didn’t exist. She could speak so passionately about her views on the world, which always captured my full attention. As she spoke over her half eaten cobb salad, I began to imagine a future with her. What would life be like if I accepted her offer? Surely it was a once in a life time opportunity. I may be young, but the idea of the freedom to be a father and even a husband was thrilling. Maybe because it was something that I had written off so long ago, knowing it would never be in the cards for me. Yet here that future was, presented on a silver platter. All I had to do was accept.
The problem was, when I envisioned myself happy at someone’s side, it wasn’t Tasha. I tried to convince myself that my imagination only inserted Rose because I had already grown accustomed to the idea of working with her in the future. Yeah, even I knew that was a load of bullshit, though. The memory of our heated kiss in the gym, only a few days before the trip, still burned on my lips.
“I should get back,” I said abruptly. From the surprised look on Tasha’s face, I had a feeling that I had interrupted something she was saying. Thankfully, my job and the current climate of affairs made my anxious demeanor make sense. We parted ways and it was back to work with me, doing everything in my power not to think of dark, wavy hair that felt like silk between my fingers . . .
Later in the evening, I was assigned duty at Priscilla Voda’s party. I blended into the background just as I was trained to do. It was dull and uneventful, save for the pompous touting of rich ass wipes that had no clue what they were talking about. Adrian was of course there, drinking and talking to a few royals. We made eye contact at one point, and though I kept any emotion from my face, I was sure he detected my icy warning glare. The jerk actually had the audacity to smirk back as though amused by it.
Then Rose and Lissa showed up. The dress Rose wore should have been illegal. I couldn’t be distracted while working, but the way it clung to her every curve was certainly putting my focus to the test. My fingers felt warm, recalling the feeling of pulling another dress off of her months before. We’d been under a compulsion spell, but I wasn’t naive enough to think that the desire I felt was any less real.
I tried to look anywhere else, look at nothing while seeing everything as the guardians do, but when I glanced back, she was talking to Adrian. Now my fingers burned with a whole different reason. They wanted to punch the jerk-off and his wandering eyes. But before I could dwell, Janine entered . . . And actually dragged Rose away. It was stealthily done, and I don’t think anyone aside from Adrian noticed. Except me, of course, because I could keep my eyes off of her. What a hypocrite! And there I was, chastising the Moroi’s wandering eyes.
Although part of me cheered for her breaking up Rose and Adrian, the rest of me knew better. My heart sunk. I knew that Rose’s relationship with her mother was rocky at best. Janine was as badass a guardian as they come, and though I assumed it would be a great honor to have her as a mother, I was beginning to understand Rose’s resentment.
Knowing that the princess was safe, I left after a couple of minutes later in search of Rose. Our earlier awkwardness ( and even coldness ) was in the past. If I knew her, she’d be alone, keeping her pain to herself, but deeply in need of a shoulder to lean on. I couldn’t explain why I needed to be that shoulder, but instinct drove me straight to her.
When I found her, I could have laughed at how correct my assumption was. Except there was nothing funny about the sight. Rose was still wearing only the tight dress, and it wasn’t nearly enough to shield her skin from the frigid air. She turned to me, and I could see the sadness in her dark eyes. The sunrise illuminated her face in a way that took my breath away. How could I have ever imagined a future with someone else when this goddess existed?
She turned away wordlessly and I figured since no sarcastic and scathing remark about Tasha came, that I was welcomed to join her. I took off my jacket and wrapped it around her shoulders, hoping it would help, then took a seat beside her. “You must be freezing,” was my lame attempt to explain my actions.
“The sun’s out,” she replied, just as lamely. What an awkward pair we make, I thought.
Rather than point that out, I looked up at the sky, taking in the warm rays and the look of the light as it washed over the picturesque scenery. I loved the outdoors and the sunshine, and often lamented its loss while being on a vampiric schedule. Something about the outdoors always brought forth a rush of adrenaline in me. Maybe it was how it reminded me of the Siberian countrysides that I’d grown accustomed to as a kid. Rose could joke all she wanted about it being a frozen tundra, but in the spring and summer, it was like heaven. “It is,” I agreed. “But we’re still on a mountain in the middle of winter.”
She didn’t bother to correct me or defend herself with another sarcastic quip. In fact, the most wonderful thing followed. Nothing. We sat in silence, though there was nothing awkward about it. We were content in enjoying the sun together and simply being in each other’s presence. This was something that Tasha could never give me. For all her promises of a future that was out of reach for most guardians, there was never silence between us. Sure, I loved her impassioned speeches and the stories she told. We could laugh together for hours.
But what I had with Rose was something I’d never felt before. It was an understanding that ran so deep that we didn’t need words to understand one another. Maybe that’s when I knew that I couldn’t accept Tasha’s offer. Obviously life with Rose would always be complicated and far from easy, but it was better than a life without her. Even after the few, short months with her, that was something I simply couldn’t abide.
It was Rose that spoke up first, as though the words broke through of their own accord. “My life is a disaster.”
“It’s not a disaster,” I told her automatically. There was beauty in her life, and I wanted her to see that. I wanted her see how that beauty effected those around her, including me.
“Did you follow me from the party?”
Busted. “Yes.”
“I didn’t even know you were there,” Rose admitted. “So you saw the illustrious Janine cause a commotion by dragging me out.”
I could hear how embarrassed she was by the whole ordeal, and in a way, I could understand. I could guess Janine’s reasoning, but I personally didn’t agree with the action. “It wasn’t a commotion. Hardly anyone noticed,” I assured her, trying to make it sound like it wasn’t that big of a deal. But then my lips kept moving and traitorously said a bit too much. “I saw because I was watching you.” Did that sound creepy? I’m pretty sure that sounded creepy.
Mercifully, Rose ignored the comment. Although part of me had hoped for some sort of inkling as to how she felt about it. Maybe she really was too into Adrian to notice me now . . .
“That’s not what she said. I might as well have been working a corner as far as she was concerned.”
Janine was a very different sort of mother than mine was, but she was still someone I respected and looked up to. I honestly didn’t think that she had such a dark view of her own daughter, but that she had a hard time expressing her honest emotions in a normal way. Honestly, a lot of guardians struggle with that, especially the older ones that had more time to harden. “She’s just worried about you,” I tried to reason. I hated seeing Rose hurt like that, and though I felt completely out of my element, I wanted to help.
“She overreacted,” was the immediate response.
Well, I couldn’t really argue with that. Instead, I said, “Sometimes mother’s are overprotective.”
The look Rose gave me broke my heart. She was a brilliant, passionate, and amazing young woman who only wanted a shred of love, but continually got pushed aside. I felt spoiled suddenly, knowing that even though I hadn’t seen my family in years, that they would always welcome me with a warm hug and happy faces. “Yeah, but this is my mother. And she didn’t seem that protective, really. I think she was more worried I’d embarrass her or something. And all that becoming-a-mother-too-young stuff was stupid. I’m not going to do anything like that.”
Ah. So there’s the problem. “Maybe she wasn’t talking about you.” I must have dropped a hardcore truth bomb, because Rose looked stunned. At a loss for words. And Rose Hathaway was never at a loss for words.
Another silence passed and I knew she was re-evaluating things in her mind. I was happy to sit with her, giving her the time she needed and whatever support I could provide. When she spoke again, it was a statement that seemed out of left field, but couldn’t help but amuse me. “We aren’t fighting right now.”
I glanced at her, arching an eyebrow at the observation. “Do you want to fight?” I asked, enjoying the little playful mood that we had turned towards.
“No. I hate fighting with you.” That made two of us. “Verbally, I mean. I don’t mind in the gym.”
That actually did bring a small smile to my face. “I don’t like fighting with you either.” It seemed an obvious statement, but as the words left me, I knew how important it was that she know that. I hated when I had to be the “adult in charge”. Rose was my equal in so many ways and I reveled in the way we could be so at ease around one another.
We shared an honest, quiet, and warm moment as we locked eyes. That was why her next statement completely took me off guard.
“You should take it.”
At first, I had no idea what “it” was. “What?”
“Tasha’s offer. You should take her up on it. It’s a really great chance.”
Now it was my turn to be stunned. At first I was frustrated that she’d assume that’s what I even wanted, especially with the way I had currently been looking at her. But quickly, I realized what a huge step this was. She was growing up and able to put her own hang ups aside if it meant someone else’s happiness. That was the Rose I knew and the Rose that I was quickly falling in love with. Yet she still took me by surprise with it. “I never expected to hear you say anything like that. Especially after–”
“What a bitch I’ve been? Yeah,” Rose said, cutting me off. I wouldn’t have called her a “bitch” exactly, but things were definitely strained between us. “Well. Like I said, I don’t want to fight anymore. I don’t want us to hate each other. And . . . well . . .” She paused and I could tell this was hard for her say. I was patient, though, silently watching her. “No matter how I feel about us . . . I want you to be happy.”
I could see the pain in her eyes, but all I felt was an overwhelming warmth and admiration. Rose could be petty, sure, but deep down, she was the most amazing person I had met who put everyone else’s needs above her own. And apparently she still had feelings about “us”. I should be discouraging that since there was no way that we could be together, but with the morning sunlight around on us on that private balcony, it felt as though the rest of the world and its problems didn’t exist. It was only Rose, who I learned didn’t care about Adrian more than me. Rose, who had unwittingly found her way into my heart. I knew there was no going back now.
Unable to help myself, I put my arm around her. “Roza.” I didn’t know what else to say as I pulled her to me, getting to be her shoulder to lean on. And honestly, with her, I knew I didn’t have to say anything else. We sat like that for a while, breaking every rule and crossing every line I had set, but it didn’t matter. There was nothing sexual about the way I held her. This ran deeper than that.
It felt like far too soon when Rose was standing up and handing me my jacket. “Where are you going?” I asked, knowing full well that I should also return to my post. Leaving our little snow covered sanctuary was the last thing I wanted to do, though.
“To break someone’s heart,” Rose replied. I didn’t really understand what she meant ( although my gut told me that Mason was about to have a bad night ), but the resolute look on her face wasn’t something I was going to take away by asking for details. She left, leaving me alone in the freezing morning air with much to think about. How was it possible that in just a few days Rose had managed to evoke so many conflicting emotions within me? Pride, lust, aggravation, jealousy, and now adoration.
I turned back to the sunlit landscape, knowing one thing was certain. I had made my decision. I was going to have to break someone’s heart, too. Tasha would survive, but Rose? I knew I couldn’t live in a future without her.

Krenko’s Guide to Creature Types: Leviathan
Art by Grzegorz Rutkowski
What is a Leviathan (flavorfully)?
...Weren’t we just here? Oh, right, Kraken.
The Leviathan is a huge whale-dragon-fish, the biggest thing in the whole ocean, that I get to eat at the end of the world and you don’t get to have any.
In Magic, Leviathans are huge eel-whale-fish, the biggest things in the whole ocean that are not Krakens or Serpents, and sometimes have other random aquatic features. Most planes have a few Leviathans, but no world has a large population of them.
On Ravnica, Leviathans fly. This isn’t for any sane or reasonable reason, mind you, but because Momir Vig is a mad scientist who can’t be trusted with crabs let alone with sea monsters, and now we’ve got to deal with huge, building-swallowing eels flying around the upper city.
What is a Leviathan (mechanically)?
Leviathans are huge blue creatures, generally designed for the purpose of winning a game that you’ve otherwise clinched with control spells. Leviathans generally start at 5/5, and the biggest Leviathans have double-digit power and/or toughness. Some have flying, which is normal for blue, but what’s particularly interesting is that some have Trample. Trample is not part of Blue’s color pie, generally, and appears on a mere fourteen mono-blue cards, four of which are Leviathans, and most of the others are… old. It’s not a huge part of the Leviathan identity, but it’s definitely interesting to note.
Can I make a Leviathan deck?
Yes, oddly enough. There are four cards that reward “Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents,” and while there’s not quite enough Krakens to really go all-out with these cards, there’s enough of the other three types to make up the difference and make a proper 60 card deck that rewards you for playing Krakens.
I just wrote that recently when talking about Krakens. Just replace the second two “Krakens” with “Leviathans” and it’s the same truth.
In Commander, if you want to make a Leviathan deck, you’ve got a choice to make. If you really want to take advantage of the creature type, Slinn Voda is an obvious Legendary Leviathan that rewards other Leviathans, as well as three other types. There are certainly other options, but if Leviathan is what you care about, he’s the Leviathan lead. He does have the drawback of costing approximately a million mana to cast, but that just means you’ll have to fill your deck with artifact ramp.
Is Leviathan a good creature type?
I was seriously just here with Kraken. I’m just going to repost the whole damn wall of text.
Kraken is almost a good creature type. They serve their purpose well, they’re obvious, they’re iconic, and while they could often be other things, the terminology gives them a major boost. The big problem with Kraken as a type is that Leviathan exists, but the big problem with Leviathan is that Kraken exists.
See, Magic has just completely failed to distinguish a Leviathan from a Kraken. While Leviathans are generally more unified in being more serpentine, there are plenty of serpentine Kraken, and then of course there’s the entire Serpent creature type which serves the same role as Leviathan and Kraken do. If one were invertebrates, one were fish, and one were reptiles that’d be one thing, but Kraken and Leviathan are so varied that there’s really no reason some are Krakens and some are Leviathans.
And Wizards knows this. They know this enough that every card that rewards creature type Kraken also rewards creature types Leviathan and Serpent (and Octopus, though they’re sort of in their own category.) These types are EXACTLY the sort of reason we need fewer creature types. Serpent and Kraken should both be Leviathan (as it’s the least specific of the three words), as a general catch- all for huge Sea Monsters.
There. Same thing. Leviathan should absorb the Krakens and the Serpents, because without them it’s just fighting over design space with two other types that are basically the same creature as it.

Special moves as human fighting moves (Part 1: original season 1)
Beyblades have special abilities, ranging from pretty normal to really weird. Many of these were designed with the bey’s parts in mind. But what if they were like superpowers the bladers could use
Storm Attack (Dragoon Storm): Tyson creates a small tornado at his feet. When he moves, the tornado moves as well. It’s short range so he has to get very close for it to work on others
Vanishing Attack (Dragoon Storm): Tyson moves too fast for the eye to see, making it look like he’s teleporting as he delivers a series of strikes from all directions
Final Attack (Spin Cutter): Carlos dashes towards the opponent at great speed. Getting hit by it feels like getting tackled by a man made out of swords
Phantom Hurricane (Dragoon Fighter): A stronger version of Storm Attack
Fire Arrow (Dranzer Spiral): Kai covers himself in fire and dashes at the opponent. The drawback is that it’s hard to turn tight corners while using it
Spin Fire (Dranzer Spiral): When Kai is in the air, he sets his feet on fire and performs a diving kick
Spiral Survivor (Dranzer Spiral): Kai creates a circle of fire around him. While active, he can’t move so he uses this either to block attacks or to stall for time
Flame Saber (Dranzer Flame): Kai sets his arm on fire and hits you with it (as a jab, backhand, whatever he wants at the time)
Black Flame Saber (Black Dranzer): Flame Saber, but the fire is black and when it hits you, instead of burning it drains some of your life force. When active, Kai can’t use black fire on any other part of his body, leaving him vulnerable
Tiger Claw (Driger Slash): Ray dashes at you quickly. It’s faster and more controlled than Fire Arrow. He can zig zag or do full 180′s in no time
Tiger Fang (Driger Fang): Stronger version of Tiger Claw
Metal Ball Defense (Draciel Shield): Max turns several points in his body into metal to block attacks
Fortress Defense (Draciel Fortress): Max temporarily turns his whole body into metal
Hop Attack (Hopper): Kenny jumps really high to dodge attacks or to perform a diving kick
Nunchuck Shooter (Bruce): Bruce uses nunchucks as a ranged weapon by throwing them like a boomerang
Dark Lightning (Galeon): Lee electrifies his hands and hits the opponent
Black Thunder (Galeon): Lee shoots lightning from his hands. It’s not very accurate and affects a large area (acting more like a bomb than an arrow), so he doesn’t use this if he’s worried about someone getting caught in the crossfire
Cat Scratch (Galux): Mariah temporarily grows claws on her fingers and attacks the opponent with them
Bear Ax (Galzzy): Gary leaps in the air and smashes the opponent’s head
Crazy Monkey Attack (Galman): Kevin creates illusions around him. All the illusions move in unison with him (he runs forward and all the illusions run forward)
Fast Ball Attack (Trygle): Michael throws an object (usually a baseball) at super sonic speeds with impressive accuracy
Water Smash (Trygator): Emily summons water (no one knows how. It just appears) and throws it at her opponent in a large wave
Sting Shoot (Trygle): Eddy channels all of his power into one hand, then Eddy jumps in tha air and strikes the opponent’s head with his hand. When using this, he is vulnerable to attacks everywhere except the one hand he channeled all his power to
Stampede Rush (Tryhorn): Steve rushes forward destroying everything in his path
Tony’s unnamed ability: Tony moves around by rythmically jumping. This lets him dodge attacks
Psychedelic Psychout (Andy): Andy covers the environment in bright colors making him harder to spot by blinding the opponent
Wing Dagger (Griffolyon): Robert flies in the air and dives at his opponent
Earth Shake (Unicolyon): Oliver causes a small earthquake with him as the epicenter. If he moves, the epicenter of the earthquake does as well. This move only works if he’s touching the ground
Twin Head Attack (Amphilyon): Enrique temporarily creats a clone of himself and they attack together (it makes more sense that Enrique having 2 very long necks)
Fire Rod (Salamalyon): Johnny heats up his body. Unlike other fire based moves, this one doesn’t have visible effects besides the burning and melting of anything Johnny comes into contact with
Blizzalog (Wolborg 2): Tala creates ice spikes that raise from the ground. They create a dome. Inside the dome, there is a violent blizzard
Stroblitz (Falborg): Bryan manipulates the air around the opponent and envelops them in knives made of wind
Voda Impact (Seaborg): Spencer submerges underwater before quickly swimming to the opponent and striking them
Sand Bind (Wyborg): Ian crawls underground and attacks you from below
Wind Attack (Matryoshka): Like Tyson’s Storm Attack, Alexander creates a small tornado around himself. It’s stronger than Storm Attack but not as powerful as Phantom Hurricane
Drac Attack (Draculor): Sanguinex uses his vampire abilities to deliver a barrage of attacks from above. This only works indoors or at night
Wolf Storm (Lycanlor): Lupinex turns into a wolf and bites you in a way that can only be described as feral. This move is more powerful in a full moon
Unnamed ability (Shamblor): Zomb has superhuman strength and mild regeneration
Unnamed ability (Sarcophalon): Cenotaph can extend his limbs like Mr Fantastic
Triangle Attack (Blade Sharks): Casey, Trevor, and Stuart form an electric barrier connecting them. They trap an opponent inside the triangle and all shoot lightning at the opponent. This move can only be done if all 3 are fighting together
Yak Attack (Andre): Andre charges at the opponent while increasing both his attack and defense. When using the Yak Attack, Andre can only move in a straight line until he stops
Fever Attack (Waylan): Waylan heats up the air around him. This drains the opponent’s energy by dehydrating them from sweating too much. The downside is that Waylan’s heat resistance, while far above average, still doesn’t make him immune to his own attack
Muay Thai Kick (Tommy): Exactly what the name implies
Wool Defense (Bruno, Doug): They are covered in very durable wool. This helps absorb the impact of attacks. However, it only works for blunt force attacks. Cutting attacks go right through it and the wool is flammable making fire attacks very effective against it
Heavy Attack (Bobby): Bobby charges up a punch and delivers it with impressive force. The Heavy Attack focuses on knockback rather than damage (it’s not much stronger than a regular punch but it will easily knock someone across a room)
Big Kahuna Dive (Chucky): Chucky summons a wave that engulfs the opponent while he rides on top of it
Unnamed ability (Star Stripe): McSneeze, J-Heart, and T-Storm all attack the opponent at once. This move can only be performed if they’re all fighting together
Spintsenity (Canarias): If Mario’s opponent is in tha air, Mario will perform a bicycle kick and strike the opponent while they are in mid-air
Rapid Fire (Jose): He has a gun. He fires the revolver multiple times in wuick sucession. Due to Jose’s superhuman skills, the revolver can rival the fire rate of an automatic weapon
Matador Attack (Pedro): He has a sword. Pedro dodges his opponent’s attack and quickly turns to face them and stab them
Battle Ballad (Miguel): Miguel absorbs part of the impact of the opponent’s attacks and sends them back
Iguana Attack (Diego): Diego quickly runs around you and attacks from behind
Seal-Shark Attack (Fernando): Fernando hits you into the air and before you hit the ground, he hits you again. He keeps doing this until he wins or gets bored
Tortoise Grenade (Axel): Axel covers himself in a durable shell and can break out of it to hit the opponent
Decoy Attack (Pinharias): Frankie creats intricate illusions. Each one can move independently but it’s possible to tell which is the real one as long as you keep your eyes on it
Dancing Crash (Samas): Luiz hits you with a series of rythmic precision strikes. Individually, they’re not that damaging but the damage builds up over time. The downside is that by being rythmic it’s predicatble and the opponent can counter

Let’s Write About While Watching: LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special (2020)
This is a celebration of Life Day (Winter Veil tiding) only for the Sequel Trilogy. Rey is the main character here, instead of a big mess with the wookiee family of Chewbacca. With freedom restored Life Day could once again be celebrated, so to Kashyyk again we go. Finn and Rey are working on training with a lightsaber, that Rey senses force potential in Finn, and Finn ends up not “letting go” as she tries to read the ancient texts. When traveling down a wrong path, one must find another, a new path. That she is actually challenged. She ain’t a Mary Sue you hacks! There are other parts of the crew post Rise of Skywalker for celebrating Life Day, and Rey continues to study the Jedi texts as she doesn’t know what she is missing. As she is not as nmater in the forc,e of both darkness and light. And this is where I wish that she had a teacher, whether of Light like Luke or Dark like the OC Aliana (not Kylo Ren, he’s shite). And apparently there is a prophecy on Kordoku to help them both with training. That Life Day is today so they have to go. Chewie is knowing about the fact that family and spending time with each other. So Rey is trying to balance training and spending time with people. BB8 leaves and then a sir cries and says “I have a plan” and they know that his plans are terrible. So he resolves to make the biggest party ever with the best food. Rey didn’t take Finn with her to the Jedi Temple on Kordoku. It is a very snowy place with an Aurora Borealis all around it, then again such is probably not the mame for winter lights in general, just for Northern lights or such. Rey looks through the ruins and finds the symbol the Jedi are known for and inside is a green Kyber Crystal wrapped in linen, and with waving it she created a portal. So her and BB8 walk in to explore what’s next. A force gateway to… Empire Strikes Back where Luke was training with Yoda. She found that such is true and she thinks that it is a lot more interesting than it really is. That she could learn something from Master and Apprentice. “Do or do not, there is no try” “Participation trophies for Jedi, there are not” That is an amusing quote, and then there’s a sea monster which is right behind Rey, so they had to get out, and then to the next place. Watch other Jedi masters train their students. Do or do not and I’m going to do, he says. Obi-wan and Qui-Gonn Jinn are together at the start of The Phantom Menace, only for the appearance of Attack of the Clones where they see Anakin and Obi-wan talking about the fact that Anakin loves Padme. Jumping to Luke, where she ends up in his cockpit and they still need to shoot. “Listen to your master, use the force!” The shot goes through, which guiding a shot into the exhaust port is rather odd. Technically Rey did help him blow up the Death Star, and she thought that it was awesome. Switching back to Finn, Chewie, Rose, and… Captain turned general… He ends up burning a porg. Rey reflects on all of the things that she saw with the time traveling Kyber crystal and it was rather intersting, so then she jumped into a new portal caused by the crystal and then there is a monologue from Sidious. Death Star Two is commented as derivative, Starkiller Base was thought of by Vader, “Galaxy’s Best Emperor” only for Vader to be send into the future with Rey to find what happened. Return of the Jedi Vader vs Rise of Skywalker Rey… Interesting. Then the family of Chewmbacca comes and they start getting into a ruckus. Then I findally remembered the camptain turned general’s name is Poe Dameron. “All too easy, now I have the… what is this thing.” Quite humorous, and the fact that they are fighting and Vader didn’t know from what point in time she was so he assumed that it was during RotJ. “Impressive, I almost feel bad having to destroy you.” There are two Darth Vader’s because of there being RotJ Vader and ESB Vader, so they end up fighting. They say that their skills are impressive, only to conclude that they are the same being and agree to kill Rey. Rey runs off along with a Snowtrooper, where the RotJ Vader follows Rey as they appear on Mustafar where Anakin and Obi-wan were fighting in Revenge of the Sith. This is entertaining, only for The Child with The Mandalorian to show up in their adventures so Rey and Vader agree that The Child is cute. Only to continue fighting. Clone Wars have two clones talking about hating traffic duty, they joined the chase with Pod Racers from The Phantom Menace’s Pod Race scene. Then there are some from the ESB Hoth base, space battles, only to appear in A New Hope’s opening shot with Luke Skywalker drinking blue milk and a bunch of people from different points in time fighting amongst each other. Different versions of Jedi and Sith, clone troopers and stormtroopers. Only for Luke from ANH to chase after them and the key is taken by BB8 and then Vader is almost done taking it and the mug… He succeeds so now there’s ANH Luke and Rey in the temple. Kylo Ren is found dancing around saying that he’s Surpreme Leader, and Hux ends up perving on him. Palpatine and Vader are found by him and it is commented that Kylo Ren is a total fanboy. Palpatine doesn’t doesn’t rule anything, so Kylo is told to put on a shirt. Luke and Rey end up talking and Luke is at the point in time where he doesn’t know who Darth Vader is or the fact that he is Luke’s father… Although Vader did hint at that in a conversation. Kylo Ren finishes the story of RotJ to Rise of Skywalker. Kylo Ren speaks of the fact that he didn’t kill his master by Reactor Shaft, but didn’t tell Palpatine that he would kill his master in a different way. So now Palpatine is trying to work on stealing the time to have an Infinite Empire… Switch back to Finn and Poe, Finn sings Huttese Jingle Bells. Rather entertaining, as Poe Dameron. Palpatine likes everything that Kylo says, even things which Vader already said like Starkiller Base being seen as a good name when said by Kylo but when said by Vader it was a ‘lame name’ (earlier in the special). One thing that Disney does know how to deal with is making fun of the movie series along with the fan perception of it, while having cheesy bits like Huttese Jingle Bells, just as in the original Holiday Special Luke, Leia, and Han were on Kashyyyk to spend time with Chewbacca for Life Day. Skywalker is on the forest moon of Endor, so Vader is told to go and get him. Sending Vader down to pick up Luke when it would go to the same chain of events? Well, Palpatine now has Kylo Ren instead of Vader. Voda’s force ghost appears to Rey while she’s moping to herself, and it is noted that failure is important, to be a better student and a better teacher. One for doing a reminder of A Chrismas Tale from Charles Dickens. So focused on the books that she forgot the most important part. Useless knowledge is without connection. That there are friends that people have, and not just the connection between master and Padawan. Luke then talks to Rey about what was being said, while kind of just repeating it. “Had the power al along” So then she alights kyber crystals and they swirl together, along with holding the hands of ANH Luke to create a large portal using those crystals back to ANH. Kylo Ren like having a swirly chair. It is noted that Kylo Ren loves his grandpa so doesn’t want to send him down the shaft, two lightsabers of Kylo and Rey, then there is ANH Luke throwing milk at Kylo Ren, only for BB8 to stop him and then Rey to stop him. Uncle Luke “Uncle” “What did you mean by destroy Vader too?” Stop everyone in a black cape. “All of us, make with the fighty fighty!” So now there’s two versions of Luke around, Kylo, and Rey, as Palpatine is a pain in the ass. “Join me, and together we can rule the galaxy” “Really should’ve seen that coming” Only for Kylo Ren to fall back into his chair and he gets really angsty, destroying his chair with his lightsaber. Now it’s Rey, Vader, Rey, and Luke… “You’ve failed before, you’ve failed again.” I do enjoy the jokes that Palpatine has, only for Rey to stop him by having the help of Vader and Luke? “Luke, do you remember the first Jedi lesson you ever knew?” That she already knows and then Palpatine is still thrown into the reactor shaft. “Hey, what’s with the sweater” only say “Happy Life Day” Then Palpatine reflects on the fact that he a complete asshole and is always so mean, so he gets a Scrooge Reflection while he is falling to his death that being on the Dark Side and ruling the galaxy isn’t that good of an idea. Which is rather amusing but for something to actually come of that would be odd. Where Luke drinks his blue milk and reflects on what just happened, as Rey sends everyone else back to their proper time, puts the crystal back, and then gets back to the Millenium Falcon to the Life Day party. Rey actually sows up and speaks of the fact that she actually made it back in time, only for BB8 to tell the adventure to C3PO. There was a reflection that Finn is ready to become a Jedi and Rey to train him, as for the events, snow on Kashyyyk and Finn accidently destroys the table with the lightsaber. Plus it’s a yellow lightsaber, which is traditionally mainly used by Jedi Temple Guards. Well… That was the end and it was quite interesting. That plus the fact that apparently another LEGO special for Star Wars is a Battle Droid RO-GR which came from Clone Wars to fighting the First Order.

The Rising Sun: Ch 1. Dawn of the Gerudo
Malik roared triumphantly as he walked through Zarazu’s office, the biggest grin on his face in a while. In these years he had a thin beard that Ganondorf kept in some incarnations. The Gerudo Lord was nearly dancing, thrilled with a personal secret. The only thing he told the castle before arriving from out of country was to prepare for his arrival. “The scumbag pirate actually delivered on her biggest contact yet!”
For years now, Malik had talked with the pirate Adda. The Gerudo was his personal captive to do with as he pleased. As awful a woman she was, she was still a Gerudo. And she held Gerudo secrets. Sure, she knew her crew, but she also knew of scattered Gerudo across the world that Malik needed to track down.
"... I really wish you wouldn't work with that woman, Malik." Zarazu was in the middle of a huge stack of papers with a map sprawled out on her desk. There were rumors of another continent. Yet, she could not exactly pinpoint where it could be. There were so little travelers from other places, what other information could be gathered? "She's not exactly trustworthy."
“I hold her life in my hands, and give her sunlight from time to time. She respects power. I am power. So, we have an understanding. But enough about her.” Malik pulled out a map of the Gerudo desert. “It’s time Zarazu. I found not only enough Gerudo now, but the right Gerudo to run and fill this town.”
"And who might that be?" Zarazu knew that Malik really wanted to try to revitalize the Gerudo community. Yet, sometimes, when someone was too eager, mistakes could be made. "Adda is staying in her cell."
“Of course she is. And perhaps it’s best you met one of the women I’ll be working with.”
Malik turned to the door, and with the command of his hand, he waved a Gerudo woman in. She was fit, but not overly muscly. With a cloak over her head, she had rings and earrings made of rubies and sapphires on her person. She looked a little anxious, but swallowed her fears down as Malik introduced her. “I present to you, Gali Kalpaka. Her family has carried Gerudo traditions from generation to generation. Like Cass, they lived as merchants to survive.”
Gali lowered her cloak, the forty-year-old woman smiling to the Queen. “Vasaaq. Lord Malik honours me by bringing me to the Queen of Hyrule. I am Gali.”
"It is nice to meet you, Gali." Zarazu stood from her desk to greet the woman. "If Malik trusts you, then so do I. Rebuilding the Gerudo community has been a task that has been neglected for too long. I am glad that you will take part in this event for the shaping of our children's futures."
“I couldn’t help but spy on the conversation you were having. My mother had a deal with Adda. She’d take in willing Gerudo who didn’t wish to be pirates. I, however, have no relationship with this Adda, so please do not be worried.” Gali finished shaking her hand. “Lord Malik told us all the tale of how Ganondorf came to tame the beast within. How his son worked hard to give the Gerudo a name of honour amongst Hyrule again. And that he himself was a relic from times long forgotten. Currently, there are 27 different families in my caravan alone awaiting a new home with safe borders.”
Malik was beaming with pride at his actions. “Indeed. This has always been my dream. To see the Gerudo rise up once more. I never decided to grasp that dream until I breathed with my own flesh and blood again. But now it’s a reality that seems possible. Zarazu, with my guidance, you’re about to see a boom of revived culture not seen since your brother in law down at the plantation.”
"It seems like the two of you have a lot to accomplish in such little time." Zarazu then asked. "If you require some help shaping this community, I could introduce you to some very reliable Zemljas, Kovinas, and some Vodas if you need to create a well system." She took a look at the map where the new Gerudo village would be located. "We would have to establish a proper road there as well." Pausing, she then suggested. "Malik, might I suggest you take your family there for a while? I could give Asa leave from the forge for a couple of weeks."
“That’s the beauty of it Zarazu. I wanted it to be a surprise to you.” Malik giggled. An honest to god giggle escaped his lips. “I’ve had the help of your people and associates of mine for a while in constructing not only the town, with all its vegetation, housing, and clean water supply, but a road right into Hyrule. Pulled a lot of strings to keep it secret from you, but I think the surprise is well worth it.”
Malik shocked both the women with pictographs of what the village looked like. Stone houses with solid doors and curtains to keep out the elements, an oasis in the middle of the town, multiple wells, a pool to swim at, mighty walls and gates, a small palace, and plentiful market with fruits ready to be given to the new citizens. “I call it Taiyo Town, home to the Gerudo. Soon we’ll even have our old temple ready again.”
Gali was in total shock, never having had a house before in her life. “Sa’oten! I-I can’t- I don’t-“
“I believe the words you’re looking for, is Sarqso.”
“Yes! Thank you!” Gali couldn’t hide her tears of excitement now.
"....?!?!" Zarazu was shocked. Malik was not too good at keeping secrets like this for long. Then again, she was not sure what to think of this. A development of a new community without the knowledge being shared with the king and queen, that was a little... uncalled for. There were a lot of regulations to put into place. Covarog would probably going to shit a brick unless Malik did share this with him beforehand. Either way, this was a lot to take in for now. "I... am happy for both of you, yet there is still work to be completed to ensure a proper thriving community."
“Of course. And we shall all work together to build a bright future. Once the Gerudo refugees are settled, it will bring me great joy to bring family and yours to the town.” What could go wrong?
~
Revan, son of Malik, narrowed his eyes down at Luimaya. So it had come down to this. “Luimaya. You’re my friend, but you have the hottest temper I know. I didn’t want to cross this line, but your disregard for common sense made me have to step over your head. I’m sorry it has come to this... King Covarog, I insist, given the attack on Zarazu and Luimaya from the vampire, she needs to have a full time bodyguard.” Revan was a Tatl Tael, even in his twenties. A mark on his honour to be sure, but a necessary sacrifice. His stubborn friend needed to listen to the only person who might be able to ground some real sense into her.
"I don't need someone watching me every minute of every day!" Luimaya insisted, "And I have plenty of common sense, I just don't want to use it sometimes."
"You are to be the future queen of our kingdom, Luimaya." Covarog told his daughter, understanding her point but also knowing Revan was looking out for his child's future. "Even your mother had a bodyguard for over a decade."
"Yeah, but Mom was waddling around pregnant half of that time." She rolled her eyes. "I'm not married, I'm not pregnant, and I certainly don't need a babysitter."
"You're more reckless than your mother diving off that tower when I first met her." Covarog stated to his daughter in a dry tone. "I believe Revan has a point."
"Well, fine! Then Carsa'sec can be my bodyguard."
"He can't fit in the castle."
"He'll be my bodyguard outside of the castle."
"You need someone inside the castle."
“I volunteer. If it weren’t for my common sense and tactics, that vampire would have taken us down before you can say Bleh.” Revan lifted a brow at Luimaya.
“Unless her royal fire highness objects.”
"While I appreciate you volunteering, I'm not so sure your father or mother would want you to have such a dangerous job."
"It won't be dangerous because I don't need a bodyguard!"
"We could organize a contest to see who proves themselves worthy of holding the mantle."
"Dad! No! Urgh!" Luimaya groaned. "Not another one of those contests like Grandpa used to hold."
"What? He'll love it, those are fun." Covarog grinned widely, loving the look of dismay on his daughter's face. "Besides, consider this your punishment for being so reckless during a fight."
Revan frowned, sighing deeply. Maybe King Covarog was getting too protective with age. “My King, I assure you it’ll be a waste of time.”
"Oh, it will be like old times!" Covarog wrapped an arm around Revan's shoulders and then Luimaya's, earning a loud groan from both of the youngsters. "Get a bit of a crowd going on too. The kingdom will love it!"
"... this is your fault. You and your big mouth's." Luimaya blamed Revan. "I'm going to have my dragon sit on you later for this."
“...Oh King Covarog! Don’t you think Luimaya should get dolled up for the big event? After all, motivation to see the princess they wish to protect might make the battles more engaging if Luimaya pours her heart and soul into seeking the perfect bodyguard.” Revan had the perfect tone to hide sarcasm. He shot her a cheeky smile.
"Don't you fucking dare---"
"Luimaya, language." Covarog chided his daughter. "I do think this should be a family event for sure. We'll all look our best for the tournament!"
"... sleep with one eye open, you prick."
Revan smartly made his way out, giving Luimaya a smartass wink and comment. “My my. Haven’t you heard that rudeness often disguised intrigue? I’m sure ‘prick’ is the most romantic name you can think of in the heat of the moment, but do try to do better next time my ‘sweet’. Till later Luimaya.” Revan turned his back to her, his face immediately shifting to regret and worry as he could feel Luimaya fire daggers from her eyes into his back.

With a sigh, he took a deep breath to relax as he shut the door behind him. Despite being three years older, herself only about three to four years shy of thirty, Luimaya still could have the same temper she held since ten. "Note to self. Look out for the skies."

Asakonigei had everything perfect. Dinner was Malik's favorite dish, the peach cobbler was cooling, and the side of vegetable medley with herbs smelled wonderful. It was his first day off in a while, and she missed him greatly. His work was important, but sometimes, she wished he would take on less responsibilities and enjoy his time at home. Revan and Donoma were out with friends, so this evening would be some one-on-one quality time... another aspect of life the two of them had been lacking lately.
Malik entered the house, a red cape trailing behind him. Carefully, he took the garment off, folding it gently and placing it on a rack. Smelling the air, he smiled. "Smells good."
Asakonigei had on her prettiest outfit, and even a touch of tribal paint on her eyelids. She wanted to look beautiful for her husband and hopefully, later, entice him. Smiling widely, she told him, "It's your favorite. You've been working so hard lately, so I wanted to surprise you. The kids are out, so it's a date night; just me and you."
"Oh." Malik cleared his throat, trying not to dampen the mood. "Yes. Thank you for the lovely surprise. I do appreciate it Asa, I do, but I need to leave in the early morning."
Asakonige's smile instantly vanished into a dark frown.
"It's your day off tomorrow." The Kovina was. Not. Pleased. "What do you mean you have to leave?"
"There was an incident at the temple. Turns out some of the new warriors haven't even seen monsters before. No casualties, but there were injuries." Malik kept speaking as he dished himself a plate up. "I came here to grab old drill instructions so I can teach them how to be effective fighters. I don't need any blood spilled due to inexperience. So I'll need to save my energy for the trip back through the valley."
That was the last straw for Asakonigei.
"Are you kidding me right now?!" She slammed her hands hard on the dinner table, causing the dishware to rattle. "You want to know how much you've been home within the past months, Malik? Nine days. Nine days, day and night, here, with me and your family. You want to know how many dinners you've actually sat down and ate with us instead of looking at your paperwork? Five. Five dinners. You want to know how many nights you've slept beside of me in our bed instead of in your office on the couch? Three nights." The Kovina stated firmly. "I am tired of this. I understand you have responsibilities for your job, but you also have a duty to your family!"
“I have a duty to my people as well. A duty to make up for my failure in protecting them in my first life.” Malik narrowed his eyes at her, slowly gesturing to the chair. “Would you like sit down and have meal number six?”
"You have one life, Malik. One. You don't have to devote all of it to making up for the sins of the past. Whether you want to spend some of it with your family, with me, that's up you." Asakonigei took off her earrings, her beaded necklace, and used a cloth to be rid of the tribal paint. "Eat your dinner by yourself. I'm going to go cool off before I really lose my temper." Tromping out of the kitchen, the Kovina walked out the back door and headed to the forge. She needed to hit some metal to feel better.
“Unbelievable...”, Malik muttered under his breath.
Outside, to the surprise of Asakonigei, she heard light talk coming from a training yard. Revan didn’t think anyone was around, so he was training with a latex mask around his head, jabbing his fists at a dummy. He wanted to test his new sneaking suit out. “Ha! What’s the matter? You late for the scumbag convention? Don’t worry, jail makes a good substitute.”
"... if you're planning a raid or a robbery, my son, I think you'd be able to breathe better with cotton material instead of that... thing." Asakonigei chuckled when Revan jumped slightly, being so focused on the dummy, he didn't hear her approach. "Though, if you need someone to hide the loot, I'd suggest the cellar."
“Oh my god...” Revan stopped, his movements, clearly embarrassed. “It’s not a mask of a villainous bandit, but a masked hero. I wanted to wear it at the tournament I’m going to attend.”
"A tournament?" Asakonigei asked, interested, trying her best to suppress a grin of amusement at her son's mortification. "Like the arm wrestling tournament you tried in Uskar to win a year-long supply of mead and ended up with a sprained wrist?"
Asakonigei looked her son up and down.
"Well, I don't see any burnt skin, so I'm surprised that Luimaya didn't try to roast you." She quirked an eyebrow. "I know how she is. She hates someone constantly looking over her shoulder." The Kovina then asked her boy. "And... I'm assuming you're going to enter this contest to guard her?"
“That’s the plan. I rather she has a friend look after her than some blockhead.”
"I think that's admirable of you, Revan. Your father did protect our queen all those years ago." Asakonigei recalled that was a much easier job for her husband than this folly he was doing now. Though, Luimaya was very stubborn like her father and grandfather. She figured Revan would have his work cut out for him. "Might I suggest if you really want to do this, that you take a moment and think about the future?"
“In what way?”
"You might want a family one day, or even a life of your own away from the castle." Asakonigei gently reminded her son. "I want you to do what makes you happy. However, if you are the bodyguard of the future queen, it's not like you'll be able to leave your occupation anytime soon. You will have to guard her until she produces an heir and that heir is mostly grown, or capable of protecting his or herself. That is years, Revan. It will be difficult if you wish to marry, to have children, to travel, if you are tied down by your job." She then asked him. "Are you prepared for your life to take a backseat for the sake of the kingdom?"
“I don’t need to guard her long term. Just until she can learn to take care of herself better. Or better substitute than me comes along.” Revan took his mask off, raising a brow at her. “Why you out here and not pouncing dad at the moment?”
"You will be there for a long time, Revan. Luimaya, as much as I think she's a sweet girl, is reckless just like her father." Asakonigei then snorted. "Your father has to leave. Again. Eat, pack, and go."
“Oh.” Revan wasn’t too surprised by that. “Can only imagine his town project is going well. Donoma says it’s pretty.”
Out of the whole family, only Donoma was allowed to see the town in its construction twice or thrice. “Maybe if I dyed my hair red and put on woman’s clothing I could sneak in. Who knows when he’ll let in outsiders and men. Hopefully soon.”
"Supposedly." Asakonigei was not too enthused about this project taking so much of her husband's time. Especially in a town full of women who would be drawn to a Gerudo male. She knew her husband would not betray her that way, but she didn't trust the women there. "I wouldn't worry too much about the town, sweetie. If you want some help training, I'll pull out my puppet knights."
“Why not pick up a sword yourself ma?” Revan grabbed a sword, twirling it in his hand. “I’m planning not using my powers either in the tournament.”
"Oh, you want to sword fight with your mom like you did when you were little?" Asakonigei recalled the days of when Revan would hold his tiny wood sword and just tackle her legs, declaring he 'got her' and he 'won'. It was adorable. She gushed, "You were so cute when waved it around declaring yourself the champion."
"That's because I was fantastic." Revan smirked. "Your move mama bear."
As Revan was practicing with his mother, Malik was already preparing his horse for the trip back to the desert. He glanced over to hear the sounds of laughter and heroics. It seemed he was training for something. Odd. The older Gerudo made a silent pray for his son’s success, then continued onwards.
Asakonigei was all for theatrics when training with her son. She was nowhere near his level of skill, but still enthusiastically practiced with him. She then tossed down her sword and got her boy in a headlock, messing up his hair.
"I got you now! I am going to... mess up this hair," Asakonigei declared and then gave him multiple kisses on the cheek. "And give you cooties!"
Revan just laughed, reaching his hands back to tickle his mother’s chest. “And I come back around with the surprise attack!”
"Oh no, he's got me!" Asakonigei dramatically flopped over on the ground, before swiping Revan's feet out from underneath him, causing him to fall over too. "But I got you back!" She snickered and then took a huge sigh. "I think you'll do well, Revan. Just don't be too eager. Watch your opponent closely."
“Will do.”
Revan’s laughter finished when his attention was caught by the near silent clop of his father’s horse next to him. He rode a monstrously large black horse named Phantom. It could carry ten times its own weight. Strapped to the sides, Malik had supplies and a round device next to him. Armoured up, it seemed he was ready to leave. His father looked down at both of them, seemingly not tired. “Would you like to join me?”
"...?" Asakonigei had a quizzical look on her face. "Join you?"
“I’m leaving back for the desert. I packed a spinner for you travel quickly back. I thought we could all catchup on the way to the border.”
"... well, I don't know," Asakonigei was still mad at him and crossed her arms, laying on the grassy ground. She stopped to look at Revan. "Our son might need his mother in the stands, yelling for him to kickass. Or perhaps, my husband can tell me exactly why he wants me to go when this invitation has not been extended before?"
“The stands?”
Revan nodded to collaborate his mother’s statement. “I’m attending a tournament to become Luimaya’s personal bodyguard.”
“Really? That’s not a bad occupation. She certainly needs protection. When is this tournament?”
“King Covarog didn’t give a date, but I’d imagine soon.”
“I see.” Malik then turned his attention to Asakonigei. “Because you’re my wife. If we can’t spend time together here, or have you see the importance of my work, perhaps it’s time to start opening outside elements to the Gerudo people. Starting with the beautiful woman who gave birth to our sun, Donama. There are some who are curious about you.”
"... very well. I'll go with you." Asakonigei added one stipulation. "But I'm taking Nubi'ahlus. There's pretty of monsters in the desert and while I know you can protect us, there can always be an extra eye."
“As long as they keep to the sky. I can warn the people about them later so they don’t fear for their lives.” Malik made a gesture for them to both hop aboard his stead. As the family unit finished climbing aboard, Malik took off with them. Both Asakonigei’s and Revan’s dragons were alerted and flew from above in the early night.
“So Revan, do you feel prepared for this tournament.”
“Of course. I’m going to handicap myself and not use my powers.”
“Really? Impressive. You’ll have to tell us all about it if we can’t make it.”
Revan nodded, hands tight on the horse. “It won’t be anything impressive to see anyways. Except maybe to see Luimaya lose her cool when she discovers who won.”
"Now, now, you need to tell Luimaya you're going to enter." Asakonigei was so ready to get off of the horse. She hated the constant bouncing, but was trying to amuse her husband for the time being. "If she finds out later, she might just find a way to throttle you."
“Maybe that’s I want~” Revan teased.
This only got a sigh out of his father. “You know, if you’re going to put so much energy into tormenting a girl’s feelings, maybe you should do it to someone you share interest in.”
Revan felt his heart get emotionally stabbed by that. “Ouch dad.”
“I’m just saying. You told us yourself you got over your crush of Luimaya. Why torture yourself?”
"Sweetie, look, Luimaya sees you as a friend. Just because you're nice to her and have known her for a long time, doesn't mean she's going to marry you." Asakonigei had to give her son some tough love. "She's not required to do that. Now, if you want someone who is going to love you for you, then it takes patience. I know a certain cutie who does like you, but she's not going to pursue you because she thinks you're still hung up on Luimaya. And you are."
“Yeah, I know that, I’ve accepted that.”
“Then why don’t you and Nakeso stop fucking around with your feelings for one another?”
That turned Revan bright red, and he actually fell of the horse as they took a leap over a small bump in the road. “God damn it that hurt! Dad! That is NONE of your business!”
Malik turned the horse around, Phantom gruffing as they spun about. “Orana asked the same thing of her daughter once. You’re both compatible, you both enjoy one another’s company.”
"Malik, you've stunned the boy stupid." Asakonigei sounded exasperated as Revan hit the ground with a thud. "Look, Nakeso isn't going to chase you around like a lovesick puppy. She's got standards and morals. If you want to pursue her, that's up to you, but she's not going to wait forever."
“Oh. So it’s on me now is it? You two don’t even know what you’re talking about.” Revan brushed himself off, whistling for his ride to come down. “Nakeso is a good friend. I have no idea where you picked these false flags up from.”
Malik said nothing, raising a brow slowly.
"... he gets that denseness from your side of the family." Asakonigei told Malik dryly. "I know it."
“Absolutely not.”
Revan started to storm off, getting out to an open area for his dragon to safely land. “Have fun at your girls Gerudo club. I’ll mail you a post card of my new job status.”
"And he definitely getting the sulking from your side of the family too." Asakonigei stated as she pulled her locks back into a tail. "At least he got my fabulous hair."
Revan jumped aboard As’wana, but before he could fly off in a pout, Malik spoke up. Best not leave the conversation on a teasing note. “Revan. We only love you. You know that. Just focus on acquiring your position for now. I believe whole heartedly you can do so.”
Revan took a deep breath and exhaled his angst. “…Whatever father.”
With that, he flew off back home, leaving his father and mother alone.
"He'll be okay." Asakonigei watched as her son flew back in the direction of Hyrule. "Revan just needed to hear what he did not want to hear. Luimaya will never see him the way he wishes for her to."
“Last thing I need is a young man having his feelings twisted by a whole village of attractive women because he can’t focus his heart.” Now more alone, Malik’s hands held Asakonigei close. “You still mad?”
"... a little." Asakonigei admitted, feeling awfully small when Malik held her. "You've spent so much time away from home. I was afraid for a while, you were bored of me."
“Why would I ever be bored of you?”
"Well, you were gone for so long, paying attention to your project, and we... um..." Asakonigei blushed lightly. "It's been months since we've even made love."
Malik tilted his head. Looking around, he suddenly surprised her by getting off his horse, and grabbing her with a haul over his shoulder. They started to walk to a nice smooth cave.
"H-Hey!" Asakonigei did not appreciate being carried around like a sack of potatoes. What was her husband thinking now? Wasn't he going to be late if he did not stick to the schedule? "What are you doing?!"
Although Malik gently set her down, his arm and legs pinned her, and he looked down at her with intense passion. “I’m going to spend the next half an hour making love to my wife.”
Now that certainly caught Asakonigei's attention. There was a faint blush on her cheeks, but then she raised an eyebrow. "Only a half hour?"
“I do have a schedule to keep, and we don’t want to your scent being picked up.” Malik’s voice grew as low as the days he was Klinge. His metal hand clawed down her pants, his tongue licking his lips. “So perhaps I should change loving making to fucking to get more enjoyment of our time.”
"Oh? My scent? What about yours? It's usually a little more... potent." Asakonigei nipped at his lower lip with her teeth. "And I'm not sure about that, love... it's been a long while. Sure you remember the difference?"
“I’ve never forget.” Leaning closer, Malik reminded Asa of his devotion with a firm kiss to the lips. Perhaps the jackals hollowing in the night would hide their passionate cries.

The History Of Alcohol
Throughout recorded history there has always been some kind of alcohol, think about this, when you sit down on a Friday night with your vodka and coke or your Pernod and your lemonade, don't you think that drink exactly how not. born. Below is a history of some of the most popular drinks enjoyed today, such as vodka, gin, pernod, and cachaça.
Pernod
Pernod is an anise wine that has been popular in France for about 200 years as an aperitif and as a spicy cooking ingredient. In Babylonian times, anise seed beverage was known as an elixir with unique qualities for curing a variety of stomach and digestive ailments. It has long been recognized that when you combine wormwood and anise, it contains certain medicinal uses and is known for its effects on mood.
Cachaca
Cachaça is made from raw cane sugar and the main difference is that the lighter rum is usually made from what is known as molasses, (a thick syrup created when the raw sugar is refined and has light brown to dark brown color). -The product boils sugarcane juice to extract as much sugar as possible. It is made from fresh sugarcane juice that is fermented and distilled. Cachaça is Brazil's national spirit and the main ingredient in the classic caipirinha cocktail, the history of Cachaça dating back almost five centuries when plantation owners began serving Cachaca to their slaves after found it increased their vitality. Over the next few years, better varieties of cachaça were distilled and soon people started drinking them in colonial Brazil while dining at home. Soon after, this slavery was banned in 1888, when Brazil was declared a modern republic.
Gin
Gin The earliest confirmed date for gin production is the early 17th century in the Netherlands, although there have been claims that it was produced earlier in Italy. In the Netherlands, it is produced as a medicine and sold in pharmacies to treat stomach ailments, gout and gallstones. To make it more palatable, the Dutch began to flavor it with juniper, which has its own medicinal properties. British troops fighting in the Netherlands during the Thirty Years' War were awarded 'Dutch Courage' during long campaigns in wet weather due to gin's warming properties. Eventually, they started taking it home, where it was usually sold in pharmacies. Distillation is done on a small scale in England, but it starts on a larger scale, although the quality is often very questionable. The new drink has become a favorite of the poor. In 1730, London had more than 7,000 shops selling only spirits. The abuse of alcohol by the poor became a major problem, which was resolved by the enactment of the Gin Act at midnight on September 29, 1739, which made gin seriously expensive. The Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole and Dr Samuel Johnson are among those who oppose the law because they argue that it cannot be enforced against the will of the people. They were right. Riots broke out and the law was broken widely and openly, the Gin Act was finally repealed in 1742 and a new policy was introduced with the help of distillers: reasonably high prices, reasonable excise tax and licensed dealers under the control of a judge. This is essentially the situation that exists today. Since then, many companies have become rich producers, and gin has become a high-quality drink.
Vodka
Vodka is a drink originating from Eastern Europe. The name comes from the Russian word "voda" which means water or, as the Poles say, "woda". The first recorded vodka production in Russia dates back to the late 9th century, but the first known distillery in Khylnovsk dates to about two hundred years later, as recorded in the Vyatka Chronicles from 1174 Poland claims to have distilled vodka even. earlier in the 8th century, but since it is a distilled spirit, it would be more appropriate to consider it a raw spirit. The first recognizable Polish vodkas appeared in the 11th century when they were called "gorzalka", originally used as medicine. In the Middle Ages, distilled alcohol was mainly used for medicinal purposes, in addition to being an ingredient in the manufacture of gunpowder. In the 14th century, a British ambassador to Moscow first described vodka as Russia's national drink, and by the mid-16th century it was considered the national drink in Poland and Finland. Because of the primitive production methods, vodka often contains many impurities. To mask them, distillers flavor their spirits with fruits, herbs, or spices. The mid-15th century saw the first appearance of pot distillation in Russia. In the past, seasoning, aging and freezing were all used to remove impurities. At this time (450), vodka began to be produced in large quantities, and the first recorded export of Russian vodka was to Sweden in 1505. Polish exports of "woda" began a century then, from the major production centers in Posnan and Krakow. . Product Type Includes: Acorn, Anisette, Birch, Calamus Root, Calendula, Cherry, Chicory, Dill, Nut Ginger, Horseradish, Juniper, Lemon, Mastic, Mint, Rowan, Oak, Peppermint, Peppermint, Raspberry, Sage, merel , right and watermelon. In the 18th century, a professor from St.Petersburg discovered a method of filtering alcohol by filtering charcoal. Felt sand and river sand were used for some time in Russia for filtration. The popularity of vodka continued to spread throughout the 19th century, aided by a presence in many parts of Europe's drunkenness and by Russian soldiers participating in the Napoleonic Wars. Increasing popularity has led to an increasing demand and to meet this demand, lower quality products have been produced mainly based on distilled mashed potatoes. After the Russian Revolution, the Bolsheviks confiscated all private distilleries in Moscow. As a result, a number of Russian vodka producers have emigrated, bringing with them their skills and recipes. One of these exiles relaunched his brand in Paris, using the French version of Smirnoff. From there, after meeting a Russian ŽmigrŽ from the United States, they established their first vodka distillery there in 1934. It was later sold to an American beverage company. From this small beginning, vodka began in the 190s to gain wide popularity in the Western world. After the Russian Revolution of 1917, a number of Russian refugees brought their skills and love of vodka to many parts of the world. In the 1930s, one of these exiles immigrated from Russia via France to the United States, bringing with him the recipe of one of Russia's top vodka brands. Through a connection with another Russian, the first vodka distillery in the United States was established in the 1930s. Although initially not particularly successful, the business was sold to an entrepreneur who finally made a splash in the 1950s with his vodka cocktail - Moscow Mule. Vodka did not experience a major explosion in popularity in the West until the 1960s and 1970s, when many other brands were launched in the United States and United Kingdom. The time coincided with the cultural revolution in these countries - the "60s". With a younger generation more affluent and a lifestyle often more laid-back, with an emphasis on adventure and experimentation, vodka's diversity has made it immensely popular and growing. Vodka cocktails are almost as numerous as gin concoctions and are found in the same exclusive circles and stylish bars around the world Read the full article

On Sept 20, cyanide leaked into Bečva river. Reporters proved that the source is a chemical company DEZA, owned by Agrofert holding connected to prime minister Babiš. The minister of environment since 2014, Richard Brabec, was previously a CEO of Lovochemie, another chemical company owned by Agrofert. Brabec is also member of the board of Association of Chemical Industry. The official investigation of the leak is slow, experts and local fishermen point out discrepancies. Czech environmental inspection lets Agrofert companies break the law for years without consequences. The ties between dirty business and government elites are obviously not limited to Czech Rep. From fossil fuels to intensive agriculture - the destruction of health and the planet bring profit to those who are drinking Evian as a precaution and planning to escape to Mars later. Politicians use many excuses - they can't fight pollution because air and water travel across jurisdictions, they need to protect jobs and if they make the rules too strict, the capital will move elsewhere. The scenario happens over and over, and often in a much bigger scale. From Bhopal to Deepwater Horizon - corporations cut expenses and take risks, accidents happen, people and animals die, but the laws remain mostly the same and nobody takes responsibility. Even heartthrobs like Justin Trudeau talk about ecology only to later say things like “No country would find oil in the ground and just leave it there” or back plans for the world's biggest coal mine. Political power is limited by borders that the capital can cross and since people like to hear about new jobs and competitive economy rather than climate change, the laws are friendly to the corporations' plans. Ethical consumption is not enough to change the big business or the laws. But activism sometimes is. The grasroots resistance can do wonders, if it wasn't for massive protests at Standing Rock, there would be an oil pipeline today. We also need expert ecological organizations that raise awareness and lobby governments and corporations. Keep recycling and buying metal straws, but don't forget to also support eco activism and organizations like @arnikaorg.

CZ:
20. září unikl do Bečvy kyanid.

Cloak’s Constructs
Some more information about my Master OC and his ‘puppet magic.’
Eyes: Wooden carvings in the shapes of eyes, used entirely for surveying things from afar.
Geckos: Little lizard-like puppets, often deployed to scout out areas more effectively, or in some cases infiltrate buildings.
Sentinels: Life-sized human-shaped puppets that Cloak keeps in his workshop. Primarily used as a security measure. They possess knives strapped to their hands, making them decent at close-range combat.
Pellets: Small wooden balls that Cloak keeps in a pouch at his side. These are his go-to weapon of choice when forced to fight out in the field. Cloak will grab a handful of them, pour some of his magical essence into them, and toss them up into the air around him. There, they will hover in stasis, but can be launched at high speeds toward a target like small bullets.
Voda: Cloak’s ‘ultimate creation,’ and the primary reason he wears his namesake in the first place. ‘Voda,’ as he calls it, is a three-foot long puppet carved vaguely into the shape of a Chinese dragon, which he keeps wrapped around his midsection. This puppet is very agile and possesses a small metal blade at the tip of its ‘tail.’ A secret weapon only to be used in sticky situations.

Despite SC setback, Voda Idea is resolutely fighting till the end - business news
Vodafone Idea Ltd’s future hangs by a thread, now that any concession from the courts may have been ruled out. But as the saying goes, as long as there is life, there is hope. So, the company is putting its best foot forward, despite the many odds it faces. While the markets had begun pricing a bankruptcy situation after the Supreme Court’s adverse ruling on Friday, Vodafone Idea said on Saturday it will make a part payment to the government based on its assessment of available funds. The company owes about Rs 44,000 crore, which is required to be paid before the Court’s next hearing on 17 March. In end-December, the company had cash and cash equivalents worth Rs 12,530 crore. But this may have depleted to about Rs 10,000 crore by now, based on the rate of cash burn in the past two quarters.A moot question is how the company will survive if the cash in its hands is less than a fourth of dues payable in a month’s time. “It looks like Vodafone Idea is hoping for some reprieve after an initial payment. The logic seems to be that by showing its intent to pay, it stands a better chance of getting relaxation in the form of a moratorium,” says an analyst at a domestic institutional firm, requesting anonymity.Meanwhile, the company’s Q3 results also show that it won’t give up without a fight. The company reported a 2.3% sequential increase in revenue to Rs 11,089 crore in the December quarter, the highest growth since the merger between Vodafone India Ltd and Idea Cellular Ltd in 2018.According to the analyst mentioned above, there were large shifts in IUC (interconnect usage charges)-related revenue and payments last quarter, after Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd started charging a fee for calls made outside its network. Adjusted for this, subscriber revenue rose by more than 3% for Vodafone Idea, which is only slightly lower than Jio’s adjusted revenue growth of about 3.5%, he said. This is significant, given the backdrop of a far bigger balance sheet and stronger network of Reliance Jio.Also note that for the first time in many quarters, Vodafone Idea reported an increase in its post-paid subscriber base, as well as the number of data subscribers. What’s more, Vodafone Idea’s adjusted operating profit rose more than 16% to Rs 1,280 crore. While all this is good, Vodafone Idea’s balance sheet is getting progressively worse. Its net worth has fallen from Rs 69,540 crore a year earlier to merely Rs 17,623 crore at the end of the December quarter. In other words, it stands on thin ice, even if the immediate regulatory dues are taken care of.Clearly, Vodafone Idea’s survival in the long run will depend on many more things falling in place, starting with adequate recapitalization of the company. BARCELONA: Hit by steep competition unleashed by Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea are likely to team up in the optical fibre space, which will increasingly become the backbone of future network expansion. Airtel chairman Sunil Mittal said on Tuesday that he has “invited” Vodafone-Idea to be a partner in his fibre company Telesonic, and the two can pool together assets.
“We have given an invitation. We did that in towers, and if you remember, Indus Towers was created. On the same lines, we have asked Vodafone-Idea to come and join the fibre company.” Asked about the reaction from Vodafone-Idea, he said, “Warm response.” The partnership with Vodafone-Idea will help Airtel save costs by cutting down on duplication in expansion of the fibre network.
The Airtel chairman said there will be synergies through the joint venture if the two companies decide to come together. “They have a lot of fibre, we have a lot of fibre. Though we have lot of overlaps, both of us will gain about 25% capacity and new routes which we don’t have… So, you stop wasting money.”
The statement by Mittal comes a day after Vodafone group CEO Nick Reads said that telecom companies “need to collaborate and share network” the worldover to offer better coverage and manage costs efficiently. Asked whether he would also invite Jio to the proposed mega fibre formation, Mittal said, “From my point of view, more the merrier.”
However, he added, “First let’s get the Vodafone-Idea thing going, then we will see after that.” An Airtel-Vodafone-Idea combine will be the first major rival block to Jio’s high-pitched challenge in the telecom space. It will come months after completion of the merger between Vodafone India’s business and Idea Cellular. Mittal also said that to broadbase offerings to customers, Airtel is open to partnerships with players such as Flipkart and Amazon. However, he has ruled out participation in 5G auctions, saying reserve prices are too high and it “makes no sense” to buy now.
The Airtel chairman is against the general view in the market that older telecom operators are going down due to Jio’s onslaught or may default on statutory and bank payments. Mittal said he will not only survive, but thrive. On troubles in the telecom sector where companies are reeling under heavy losses and large debt piles, Mittal said the government needs to support the industry or else the companies may go down the way the aviation sector collapsed. However, he added that companies that can sail through the current tough times, may get to reap the benefits of a large consuming market in the long run.

Don’t worry, it’s written on our skins like it’s written in the stars
Title: Don’t worry, it’s written on our skins like it’s written in the stars
Rating: Teen and Up Audiences
Characters: Victor Nikiforov, Yuri Katsuki
Pairing: Victuuri
Summary: The first word your soulmate will tell you is written on your skin in the language they'll say it. And don't worry, you'll eventually meet, in this lifetime or another.
(As a writer I need to spam my works wherever I can)

Italian version
The first time Victor is a young prince at the Czar’s court and Yuri’s an artisan in some Japanese unknown village, both barely aware of the existence of the respective countries. They don’t meet in this life, carrying on a pitiful existence as the mark on their wrists, written in an unknown language, cast on them the stigma of prejudice. Victor marries a fellow noblewoman and uses a golden bracelet to hide the strange symbol on his fair skin. They told him it’s the writing used in the Far East, from where the soft silk came. He marries for political reason knowing his true soulmate is a person who speaks a language he doesn’t understand and will never be able to find. He carries on with his life not knowing that on the other side of the world a Japanese man drown in solitude, as people throw stones at him and cry “Go away, oni’s son!”
The second time things don’t change much, only that their roles are reversed. Victor’s a poor farmer and Yuri’s the member of a powerful samurai clan. It doesn’t matter. Victor’s can hardly write down his own name, let alone read the strange signs on his shoulder, the ones the priest burns saying they’re a mark of the Devil. Yuri’s mark, on his side, is transformed in the clan tattoo crest.
“Forget about it!” his grandfather orders him, as ink poisons his skin and happiness.
***
The third time Yuri’s a plump Japanese nurse and Victor’s a wounded prisoner in the Japanese-Russian war. The man’s burnt face is almost unrecognizable and when he speaks his voice is low and creak. “Water” is the first thing he asks, in Russian. Yuri, whose name in this life isn’t Yuri, complies, too busy to think about that four letters that read вода in the crook of her left knee. She doesn’t think about how her parents were planning to save money to send her to Russia, hoping that a year would be enough to find her right soulmate.
“Better?” she asks. As the man nods, his eyes go wild with realization. He grabs her wrist with the force of desperation and jerks his head to the side, tilting it toward his forearm. The woman’s hands tremble as she pushes the pyjama sleeve up to the elbow to reveal a scattered mark in familiar hiragana. She feels tears filling her eyes as she writes down her own mark on a piece of paper and put it under the man’s nose.
“Voda” he gurgles on the verge of death. “Mizu.”
This lifetime they meet, but they don’t have time.
***
The fourth time Victor’s a ballerina, silver hair held in a tight bun and lovely calves aching on the stage, and Yuri’s a flute player, under the very same stage. They’re so near they probably have already exchanged some quick glances, in the rush that precedes an important show. If it were visible, they would even see the red, thin string connecting their pinkie fingers together. This time they are open-minded and acculturated enough to understand what is written on their skin. “No,” reads in Russian the one on Yuri’s right hip and it’s strange to know he’ll start his soulmate relation with a negation. Meanwhile Victor caresses the Japanese letters on her ankle, before wrapping her pointed shoe laces around it. They spell “hurt”.
They both plan to travel around the globe; they both practice till their feet and fingers and lips bleed to be on the world’s most famous stages, hoping to meet their other half in the crowd.
They don’t really meet in this lifetime. They pass next to each other in the hallway of the theatre, shoulders brushing, but in the rush they don’t speak. It should be easy, as they already know what they’re supposed to say. Yuri would ask, “Are you hurt?” in a polite voice and the Victor of this reality would answer “No”.
It doesn’t happen and when realization hits them, it’s already too late.
***
The fifth time they are both males again. They don’t remember their precedent lifetimes, so the surprise of having foreign words on their skin is the same of the first time. “Your name?” Yuri reads in Western alphabet, twisting his head to see the mark on his upper back, strong muscles flexing in the mirror. It’s not very useful when you’re a prostitute and potential client always, always, ask your name. Yuri hides behind a pseudonym most of the time, when he’s not saying something cheesy like “I can be whomever you want.”
And besides it’s not use, when all his clients are Japanese men like him. Some of them are gentle; they treat him like a porcelain doll. Others are rough, but not cruel. Others still care only to fuck his body.
This is why when the owner of the house introduces him to two European guests, Yuri’s heart makes a backflip down in his stomach. One of them, silver fringe hiding his left blue eye, asks his name and for once Yuri doesn’t feel the need to lie.
“Yuri,” so he answers. The stranger shows him the palm of his own hand. “Yuri, like this?” he questions in broken Japanese. Yuri nods.
In this lifetime Victor’s some kind of businessman always travelling for work. He’s been married for already ten years when he meets Yuri and despite all he doesn’t feel like abandon his wife. In the end he doesn’t even cheat on her, and just spend the night drowning in Yuri’s pleasant words. After all the idea of visiting a brothel has been Chris', not his.
In the end Yuri receives in a night the money he normally gains in a month of work and Victor promises to come again. He does it. This lifetime they meet again and again, lingering in the dream of what their life could have been.
***
The sixth time everything seems to be perfect. They are girls, with different names and different hair colours, studying elbow-to-elbow in the same chemistry course. They know they’re soulmates, no doubt about it, and together they plan both their career and private life. They walk down the college aisles, hand in hand, beaming with love, mouths giggling.
They argue about wedding dresses and wedding rings. They wish for a house full of dogs – and maybe a kitten. They dive deep in learning the respective native languages. They have fights and they make up. They’re basically the epitome of the perfect couple.
This time everything seems perfect, but seems is the key word, as they have not considered a drunk driver on a cold October night.
***
The seventh time Yuri’s again a girl, while Victor’s back to be a boy. The seventh time they die very young and simply don’t meet.
The eighth time their roles are reversed and for a strange trick of Fate, they are Web pen pals for a while. The problem is that the soulmate mark must be a spoken word, not a written one and in this lifetime they never speak. Eventually they forget about each other. The ninth time is so dull it isn’t even worth telling.
***
The tenth time Yuri knows Victor way before they meet in person. He spends his afternoons with eyes glued to the screen, captivated by Victor’s smooth skating. Sometimes he dares to daydream about Victor Nikiforov being his soulmate, when days seem too grey and fantasies are a nice way to escape the anxiety that tightens his chest. He grows up with Victor's face plastered all over his bedroom walls.
In this lifetime Victor doesn’t have any soul mark. His body has been thoroughly scanned, only to confirm the fact that there isn’t a word on his skin, not even a letter. Markless people are rare, but they exist, usually destined to be bound to someone who is mute.
Growing up, every time someone doesn’t answer his attempt to start a conversation, Victor always asks to see their soulmate marks. He knows it’s rude, but he can’t stand the thought of not knowing who his soulmate is.
On the other hand, under Yuri right foot it’s written “a commemorative photo?” in English.
The first person to ask him it isn’t Victor, though, but a young man in Detroit Yuri dates for a while. However soon things start to get ugly, until Yuri insists to see that mark the other is so adamant in hiding. The words he reads aren’t his. They break soon after.
The experience is still lingering in some place of Yuri’s mind, poisoning him with the idea he’ll always be mistaken about finding his soulmate, when Victor offers a commemorative photo. This is why Yuri turns his back on the Russian man, who by this point has already got tired of the habit of checking the mark of every person he meets.
But in this lifetime, Fate is determined to sort things out. So they dance together during an otherwise boring banquet and when Yuri considers retiring, it’s in the hand of three six-years old girls to adjust the strings of destiny.
When Victor knocks on Yuri’s door, the younger man is too surprised to even think about that first small dialogue they have had some month before. As months pass and their relationship blooms, Yuri finds himself torn between the hope of dilating his time with Victor ad infinitum and the dread of its inevitable ending.
“Tomorrow I’ll ask him,” he says, as he looks in the mirror, but then he continues to procrastinate. Yuri believes Victor’s soul mark to be probably in some private or difficult to reach body part, as he hasn’t still seen it despite having bathed together.
He sets on giving back Victor to the world when the season would’ve ended.
“Just for this moment,” he prays, as he slides a golden ring on Victor’s ring finger. “Just for this moment,” he thinks as he climbs his way to the GP Final.
That missed quad flip is like being stabbed in the chest.
“Let’s end this,” and while saying it, Yuri isn’t referring only to Victor’s being his coach. No matter how much his own heart is suffering, he has no right to pretend Victor is his soulmate. He’s determined to do it, no matter how much Victor will protest or how much it will hurt.
“Yuri, I know what your soulmate mark says. I’ve seen it when I helped you stretching in the hot spring,” Victor replies instead. Yuri shakes his head.
“It doesn’t matter. You’re not the first person to ask me a commemorative photo before saying anything else.”
Victor pauses for a while, tears still wetting his pale cheeks. “Yuri, do you want to see my mark?”
Yuri nods. “I’ve always wondered where it is, since I’ve never seen it despite having seen you naked a lot,” he adds, with a little chuckle. He blushes when Victor moves from the window on the bed and slowly undresses his bathrobe. “Come! Let’s see if you can find it,” Victor invites him and the request’s so absurd and embarrassing, Yuri can’t help but complies. His fingers trail every centimetres of Victor body, his armpit, his inner thighs, the shell of his ears, and the soles of his feet.
“I can’t find it,” he surrenders, realising the absence of words even on Victor’s sex. You don’t have a mark,” he dares to speculate. Victor’s lips curl a little upward, almost as he’s waiting for Yuri to put together all the pieces. When Yuri finally does, it’s like the time has stopped.
“I can’t believe it. Gosh, it’s … I just can’t believe it,” Yuri babbles, as Victor’s smile become a grin.
This time things will go well, they have no doubt.

I reread Shadow Kissed and Blood Promise as part of my reread (the last post on Frostbite is here)...
VA and FB are great, but SK and BP are the highlights of the series for me (not looking so much forward to SP and LS).
Before I get into that... I did reconsider something on Frostbite: I really rather hope that they have Rose manage to convey some information on their location to Adrian when he visits her dream (or even she has a second dream). And, I would like for she or Mason to suggest to Christian and Mia that they drink from their human captors- I can see Christian being totally reluctant, and them reassuring like “we won’t let you kill them and turn, but you need to be able to move”- even if Christian still refuses, I would like for Mia to at least consider it. These are things that are maybe a bit controversial (taking blood from the unwilling is not a Moroi trait), but I feel like the escape could have used just a bit more dark pragmatism. Eddie’s out of it on endorphins and blood loss, meanwhile Mia and Christian have to basically carry him despite being really feeble themselves (especially Christian after his magic use) while Rose and Mason are trying to clear everyone out. They’ve just realized after like four days, hey wow, we should have used magic sooner, I would think they would question some of their other ingrained lessons.
OK, now Shadow Kiss.
I said before a combined season for VA and Frostbite, and I still actually stand by that. But for SK (and BP) I want a full season (honestly 13 would be preferred to 10 but I’ll take what I can get).
I think one realization I had this time that maybe I hadn’t had before was that in chapter 8, when Rose and Christian go to the Feeders, it’s busier than usual- including Brandon Lazar (a member of the Mana)- I remembered well enough that Mason always showed up after a Mana “initiation” but I don’t recall putting together that it was why Brandon, and Jesse and Ralf, were all there at the time. I also realized: the rumors that everyone was hearing about Rose and Adrian? I don’t think those arose naturally- I feel certain Jesse and Ralf (as participants in Mia’s VA campaign) were compelling people to believe Rose/Adrian were a thing, and Ralf may have passed that tidbit on to Priscilla Voda. Jesse was the first to bring up Rodrian in Christian’s culinary class, Mason (who threatened them into coming clean about the earlier rumors) has just died... it seems to me like a petty vengeance thing. And if I’m right, that’s the type of plotline that they should make more apparent in an adaptation.
Adrian... is more pushy and discomforting than I remembered. Like, rich, white guy trying to pull this shit will rightly get criticized by show fans if they keep him as written. I’m not saying rush all of his character growth, and I have to admit I love the “Rose is in red but never in blue” scene but they’re going to have to do better with him. One solution is to focus on his and Lissa’s relationship as much as they can, because I honestly really like that friendship/fraternal relationship too and it brings out the more justified reasons for Adrian being there. Also, I’m just going to reiterate (here and elsewhere in the post) genderbend Adrian please... but if not, at least make him less “creepy young adult lurks on campus of school he didn’t even go to to hit on Rose.” Genderbending would create issues for “Tatiana wants to engage Adrian to Lissa,” unless they instead frame something like “Tatiana wants Adrian to be Lissa’s new best friend, replacing Rose and maybe helping Adrian clean up his act”, and I do buy that it could work- it doesn’t work quite as neatly at making Christian irrationally jealous when Ralf informs him of Tatiana’s wedding scheming (and the subsequent Adrian & Christian fight during the Mana initiation) but... idk, get Aaron back or something, since he comes back in BP anyway (and maybe Jesse compelled them to fight each other when he was breaking the rumors to Christian).
Moving on, I’ve always had a soft spot for the Bromance, of sorts, between Rose and Christian. This is the best of the books for that and I love it so much. Whoever plays Christian would get so much more mileage out of these scenes. The same goes for Eddie, who probably gets to shine more in SK than in any other VA book (and even in Bloodlines, where the focus on Sydrian deprives him of the page-time he deserves). Those guys are going to have some great stuff to work with, including the little bit of hurt Christian feels at Rose’s reluctance to have him as her probationary protectee. I hope she apologizes to him for that one, honestly, while I also hope she gets to throw in a one-liner about how he and Lissa aren’t allowed to ever have a nooner again (because that was a part in why she was so upset that morning and honestly... she deserved to be pissed).
Let’s see... I’m curious how they’ll portray Rose “absorbing” Lissa’s spirit darkness. Like, I wonder if they might start showing us scenes of Lissa practicing auras and then we do get Lissa healing Rose from Adrian’s perspective as he’s studying the healing. The ghosts are also going to be... intense- especially the scene on the plane. And then when Lissa breaks from the torture, Rose calms her and absorbs it, and then she goes crazy. The actresses are going to have some real challenges that I’m excited for. Including later when Rose is grieving. This book honestly has the biggest action pieces and I’m excited for it all: the visit to Court (Ambrose and Rhonda! Mia! the trial!), the Guardians’ practice attacks, the “initiaton” (uggh) and Jesse’s compulsion and then the Cabin, the Invasion (ooof- they’re going to have to trigger warning for that one), and then finally the Cave. I think the Initiation Night, The Invasion, and The Cave will each have to have their own episodes, and I think I would end the Invasion episode right before they go into the Caves honestly (though I would advise releasing those episodes together even if they do a weekly release schedule).
So my pet projects, as pertains to this one:
alive Andre? ok, I’ve given up on this one Scratch that, though I really was ready to; have him at Court (maybe Tatiana’s plotting on marrying him off to Adrian) and build up what that might mean for Lissa’s future... also if he overhears Rose mentioning this “water user from the lower school named Jill Mastrano” let us get our hints about her paternity
I really need full focus on Rose’s mental state in this and how much “they come first” is destroying her at this point; especially in contrast to that brief Mia appearance (which does have to happen) where Rose observes that the best in Mia has come out; also how special that manicure is to Rose
the aging up: I realize it makes Lissa and Lehigh work less well and it also means that instead of Rose leaving on her 18th birthday, her departure date would seem more arbitrary (even if it’s her 21st), but it’s still feasible and still what’s best from a responsible storytelling aspect
ah... this is dark... but a potential departure from the books: Rose decides to visit Jesse before she leaves (yes I realize she wasn’t even going to say good-bye to Lissa but) and makes sure she lets him know that the wards failing were his fault... that he and Ralf looked down on Christian for being the son of two Strigoi, but that when Christian had been deprived for a week of blood he still never considered betraying the dhamphir with him in Spokane. Jesse was so willing to try to compel others to lay their lives down for him... he’s a monster, not Christian. And now the man she loved, a better man than him, and about 20 people overall, are dead because of him and his actions. And she’s going to hunt monsters- he better never cross her again, or she will stake him like any other monster. But... she doesn’t realize: she accidentally killed Jesse during the Initiation rage, and Lisa (not even realizing it) resurrected him... he is now also shadow-kissed... he steps out of the gate at some point to sob, and while the wards are down... he sees spirits of those whose lives he cost
And now Blood Promise
um, I am hornier than Rose for Strigoi Dimitri and I realize this is wrong of me, I just feel the need to put that out there before I continue; also note that Dhamphir Dimitri is not at all responsible for the Strigoi’s actions and if we get that far and people start hating on Dimitri overall and pretending that he himself is an abuser I will be defending Dimka
THIS BOOK! Look, SK destroys me, but this is on another level...
for one, HI SYDNEY (my daughter) KATHERINE SAGE, you’re here and beautiful and oof I am sad about you and food but I am so happy you have Red Hurricane and your handwriting is proper and you are light and life
Ok, now: the biggest problem with this book is something I forgot about: Richelle messes up the time alignment on Lissa’s segment. Like, Rose leaves Baia on Easter Sunday when Lissa has already been at Court for a little while (even though it’s only supposed to be a weekend trip)... and then Rose has been in Novosibirsk for at least a week but Lissa and them are only just leaving Court (and it’s not multiple trips because Jill’s there the whole time). Like, they’ll have to do better with distributing plot and timelines. And granted, I get that Rose stopped looking in for a little while there (because of pain and then her addiction) but it’s a major ??? that Lissa’s weekend lasts so long (if they wanted to portray it as Spring Break, that could work). Also, please give Eddie and Christian something to do at St. Vlad’s, I miss them- if they went with the Jesse thing that could even be an element to the story (and if Jesse wakes up after kissing Aaron... lmao). I am curious how they’ll handle the differences in location in this book.
The Baia segments, and Rose with Dimitri’s family, are so fantastic, but I need Sonya to have more of a role, because I wait the way Rose kind of looks down on her <3 Also, I get that Mark and Oksana weren’t exactly eager to leave home, but I’m pissed that I don’t remember ever seeing them again in the books (also Rose could have asked Sydney to let Denis, Tamara, and them know she was alive). Actually, you know what I want? A standalone episode from, say, when Dimitri was a senior novice, maybe visiting home for a short summer break, and we see Robert Doru hanging out with Mark and Oksana, and we get some Abe and Janine interaction (and some Tatiana- why is this 60 something year old holding it against a woman 20 years her junior having a relationship with Abe?! I guess her dumbass relative who is Dimitri’s father can show up, though hopefully to get beat down), and also maybe this is around when Galina got turned in Prague... I want a flashback episode for this setting, maybe in an episode while Rose is lackadaisical in Galina’s estate, and seeding in the idea that maybe spirit can save Dimitri... but Rose doesn’t know that when an episode or so later she stakes Dimitri... (lol... sob)
Speaking of flashbacks, I would prefer if they could move Rose tending to Dimitri’s wounds during the novice-guardian practicum into the actual Shadow Kiss adaptation (because I do love the scene and we deserve that softness sooner), and instead they can do a scene of him talking about the gilded books in his mom’s house back in Baia. But I really want the snow angel scene. I can imagine the gifsets comparing it to them in the garden at Galina’s estate already. I’m curious how they’ll do the the final showdown against Avery since so much of that is... mental-ish? Hints of auras in mindscapes? Also, I kind of feel like they’ll have to give Rose a manifestation of herself that’s trying to get through to her when she’s high on the Strigoi bites. The Dimitri and Rose actors are both probably going to have some really challenging material (his will be more the physicality and coldness of Strigtri). I am looking forward to the various fights and Rose being a badass taking Strigoi down left and right, I can’t lie (I also really look forward to Nathan’s death- I will enjoy that a bit sadistically... I still want to know his last name).
As for the Lissa arc, let Andre be alive like I’ve said (even if it hasn’t really paid off until this point), and then she shows up with Jill and Andre has the very sad news for her... Dad was a cheater. Hits her spiral harder (which is a challenge considering how bad she was spiraling). Also, there’s more weight to her being annoyed with Jill rather than the irrational assumption that Christian has a thing for the poor babe, but Jill’s still blameless and ugh I feel for her in this book. I hope training with Mia was worth the trip to Hellsylvania with creepy Reed.
Oh, also I really liked Adrian in the second half of this one- I think it was because his savior complex was out in the second half for Rose and he was less “let me hit on her relentlessly.” Anyway, Janine content was also excellent (her offering to take over as Lissa’s guardian, the visit to St. Vlad’s, though why would she come from Nepal for like 4 hrs maybe of hanging out? idk), and the “I’m Zmey Jr, Zmeyette?” from Rose is one of the best lines Richelle ever wrote in this series. I want to see it delivered.
Idk, I love BP but I have fewer thoughts on its adaptation except that I want it.
