Complete guide to Flickr and why you should use it

bc I got some things wrong but it’s still a very good website that we should all use instead of Instagram

1: Flickr isn’t tied to Meta or any of that Facebook bullshit, from my knowledge it doesn’t share your contacts so no one will get a notification that you joined, it’s safer that way and more private than Instagram.

2: It’s built for photos. Instagram kills quality of photos, if you’re an artist, especially a digital one, uploading to Flickr would be way better for people to actually see detail and the color.

Going on with this because it’s built for photos, while it can host video, it doesn’t have TikTok/Reels and lives which is soooo nice. Like I don’t hate that stuff, but I like that Flickr isn’t trying to catch on the latest trends.

3: There isn’t likes. Flickr is mainly for sharing and LOOKING at photos. The most interaction you can get one on one is commenting, following, and favoriting. Favoriting is basically the public saves, no one really faves things on there unless it’s a recipe or for a reference or something.

4: Groups. Flickr does have an option for communities to make groups in where you can share similar interests MOST OF THESE ARE DEAD BUT WE CAN BRING THEM BACK!!! (IM BEGGING)

5: The bios are unlimited ( I think ), I copy and pasted the entire Bee Movie script three times along with my own bio that was already in there. I’m always pissed when I have to trim my bio, so bitches who like to put everything in their bio this website is for YOU

6: It’s in chronological order. Everything. You can even look up when certain posts where made by year, month, even fucking day. The archives of Flickr are so fucking fun.

7: Its not a contest. The main reason as to why I fucking hate Instagram (other than they took away chronological order and being able to see the recents under a tag) is that it focuses too much on “#aesthetic” even on the casual Instagram side people are still posing and trying to make an aesthetic of it. Flickr is just for photos you like, which yes can be aesthetic, but it’s mainly for daily life. You will see older people just posting what they are working on, maybe a cat they saw at the store, nothing planned. Just a quick unprompted click.

8: Organization, Flickr let’s you have Albums which is where you can organize all your photos in much like Pinterest. Most do it by year but others do it by topic too.

9: You can upload photos in bulk. You don’t have to upload them one by one, or at a limit of ten, you can upload a FUCK ton of photos at once.

10: if you don’t like ads and want more storage space, the pro version is extremely cheap compared to Netflix. Netflix without ads is fucking $15.49 and Flickr is $8.25 a month. There are also two other payment plans if that’s still too much for you.

11: It allowed adult content. In like. Every form. Enough said

CONS

1: You can’t DM (this is not a con to me and I hate when people complain about this just fucking use a email it is so fun to email people please for the love of god)

2: You can only upload 1,000 images before you run out of space. (You can always delete images later, I personally like to delete images at new years for a fresh start and archive them somewhere else)

3: it’s dead. No one really uses it.

4: to upload your bio you have to use a desktop version of the app.

finney, gwen, and robin hcs (bc i miss them)

a few of these are sad. oh well. some of these we mentioned in conversations with friends or inspired by others.

part 1

Finney mainly fights when it’s for gwen and robin. he releases all his pent up anger while fighting some older kid for pushing gwen, he broke three kids noses that day.

Their mom used to make them wear matching outfits when they were younger.

Robin started wearing his bandannas bc his mom said his dad always worn them when he was alive.

On their mother’s death anniversary, they spend the whole day doing the things their mother loved. Baking, playing piano, singing, dancing, etc. When the day is over they go to their respective “safe house” Finney going to Robin’s house and Gwen going to Susie’s.

Robin and his mom welcome him in with open arms and Finney allows himself to think of her as his separate mother figure for the time being.

When Robin was taken, Finney spent the whole day with his mom. Staying the night with her as she cried the whole time.

Robin does kicking boxing in high school.

Adding on to the hc of Robin being of scared of bees, he’s just genuinely scared of bugs. His tough boy facade melts at the sight of a spider.

Gwen is an incredible liar and usually only lies to get out of trouble in school.

Finney is the type to talk his way out of a situation. He’s either talking or running. Small chance he’s fighting but it’s still a possibility.

Robin just doesn’t care all too much about the consequences.

Gwen forced them to watch Greese with her when it first came out. Robins uncle agreed to take them.

They all eat, sleep, and breathe sarcasm. it’s their second language.

Robin learned sarcasm before he learned english.

When Gwen first learned how to drive she was way better than Finney.

Gwen my loves horror movies and usually watches them with Robin.

Finney always gave Gwen the [only] umbrella that’s big enough for one person, he comes to school soaked every rainy day.

Until Robin saved up to get him his own umbrella.

When Finney and Robin go off to college, Finn takes Gwen with them. Even though their dad doesn’t want him too. Finn refuses to leave his baby sister with him.

Oh now that's interesting- perhaps not roomates in the traditional sense, but maybe like- Dream babysits for Tubbo because his parents travel a ton? Lets go with that. Its still basically roommat dynamic but also with a splash of older brother

Now Dream actively sabotages anyone who tries to apply for the job as well because he likes Tubbo so much

They play video games together and are really good at beating each other at different ones

Tubbo's a god at mario cart and Dream's unbeatable in smash bros

Sometimes Dream wakes up and Tommy or Ranboo- once or twice it was Wilbur/techno- will just....be there.

Tubbo just likes to invite random friends over whenever and sometimes that whenever is midnight

Dream has occasionally had Sapnap or George come over for work or to hang out.

George and Tubbo have a heated Mario cart rivalry.

Sometimes they get a whole bunch of both Tubbo and Dream's friends and play epic long board games

Once Dream couldn't watch Tubbo for a month and when he got back, the first thing Tubbo did was hug him for like five minutes

Tubbo: They didn't tell me anything and i was really upset because i thought they just fucking fired you!!!

Dream: aww you missed me?

Tubbo: YEAH I MISSED YOU DAMMIT YOUR THE ONLY ONE I CAN TRUST TO PLAY OVERCOOKED WITH ME

Some nights they both fall asleep on the couch watching movies. Tubbo always mysteriously wakes up back in his bed though.

Tubbo got Dream a mug with a smiley face on it and the words "be happy" on it, but Tubbo had crossed out happy and wrote "glad i tolerate you" instead.

He got Tubbo a matching mug with bees on it and similar graffiti of the words "bee happy" to now "bee glad i haven't snapped yet"

They love their mugs

Tubbo's parents don't

They don't care as long as Dream keeps the job.

Once Dream actually did get replaced only for Tubbo's parents to call him two weeks later saying that they needed him back

Tubbo had appently been such menace to every other sitter they called that they couldn't even leave their home to work anymore because sitters would back out so fast

Tubbo: fire ants under the toilet seat, yes.

Luna does it make sense when I say that Techno gives off like old vibes but it’s very contradictory? Like you have multiple friends and colleagues of his who watched his vids before (Tommy, Wilbur, Dream, Ranboo) and looked up to him but he’s only 22. He’s been in YT since 2013, and he was only a teenager during that time. Techno speaks as if he’s been around for a decade (well close to) and seen tides change and witnessed channels rise and fall and he’s still really young. And his deep voice and cadence doesn’t help. For me it’s easy to forget he’s only 22 b/c of that. It’s very weird but also interesting to me b/c I feel like that’s such a rarity. To have someone that young who was part of the OG MCYT years. Yeah, honestly Techno does totally give off old vibes.

Like, so many of the CCs that actually know him thought he was way older than he actually is! Notably that one Quackity clip where he freaks out at the fact that Techno is only a year older than him.

As well with the whole “Who is the older twin, Wilbur or Techno?” So many people said Techno even through Wilbur is, like, notably older than Techno!

He just has the vibes of just knowing shit bc he’s just been around that long, probably because in internet terms he has been around for quite a while!

I think the fact that so many CCs look up to him as a mentor/fear-worthy op veteran plays into this vibe a lot too.

It probably also doesn’t help that chat has tried to claim him as a dad figure for several years now KEKW

Man’s just radiates mentor/dad (apparently)/older brother vibes.

It is very funny though, to see very old Techno clips and hear baby Techno swear up a storm with a tiny little kid voice.

he definitely didn’t change any of her mannerisms for the sake of the isle , he’s still very much rude when he needs to be and he does not have time for any royals that don’t want them there.

has definitely gotten into a few fights alright , i’m sure. 

ace is able to conjure some blue fire from his finger tips , though he doesn’t tend to show it off often.

his skin is also always super hot. he naturally runs a temperature.

anyway so after caleb got back he was rly withdrawn n depressed. he shut lana out n was kind of harsh to her a lot of the time, always telling her to leave him alone or pushing her away. it didnt help either tht lana had a rly traumatic experience w some of her dad’s colleagues at the label when she ws 16 n he was away n she cldnt even tell him abt it once he was bk bc of his own traumas. she kind of jst shut it all in n kept it to herself
