Here's a few author's notes to make the concept of this AU a bit more clear!
The main idea is based on the question ''What If our protagonists were recruited by Tampo at a different time of their lives?'' in this case rather than recruiting a bunch of 14 year old middle school kids, he recruits those same people but as really tired and slighly gloomy college students, which means they weren't involved in saving the galaxy in their highschool years. So the big events in the show (becoming Sendokai warriors , competing in the tournament, saving the galaxy etc etc) still happen, the only difference being that the senkuns are older when the whole thing happens.
Other differences/changes:
-Zak, Kiet, Cloe, and Fenzy have known each other since middle school. However, they don't meet Lon until after the supposed events of season one.
-They meet Lon at a concert that gets attacked by a Yaki
-None of the senkuns are initially interested in soccer whatsoever
-Zak is a communist (based on a inside joke I have with a moot,roll with it) and openly queer in a small spanish town. Take that as you will.
-Cloe asks Zak to pose for her next painting instead of asking him out to the movies.
-Fenzy's conflict is more centered around her relationship with her mother.
-The love triangle between Cloe,Zak and Lon is ACTUALLY a love triangle (Zak has a crush on Cloe since they were 16, Cloe has a horrible time processing her emotions but she has had unrecognized feelings for Zak for a while, Zak feelings for Lon are complicated,Lon has that same weird freudian feelings he has for Zak in the show mixed in with really cryptid love confessions (telling him to Die) , Lon and Cloe are each other's Manic Pixie Dream Girl.)
-Lon really really really REALLY fucking likes The Smiths (trust me this is crucial to his character.)
-Cloe's character arc is one of learning to put herself before others by overcoming her insecurities.
-Every single senkun is queer and neurodivergent in one way or another (because that's how friendgroups really are irl)

When the intro speculates “By the end of the decade [biotechnology] will have outdistanced atomic power and computers in its effect on our everyday lives”, by computers it means the start of personal computers - the centrality of the internet to modern life, the development of social media, smartphones, and tablets were all in the future.
So the prediction was way off. Advances in communications have remained the major technological advance affecting daily life for the three decades since Jurassic Park was published, and while biotch has made advances and remains regularly in the news, any changes it has brought in daily life pale in comparison to those. Additionally, other people did see the same things Crichton did, and the field of bioethics took off in consequence.
The emphasis on the commercialization of molecular biology as opposed to other scientific fields in the introduction is particularly striking, given the absolute centrality of business to the ‘tech sector’ - computing and the internet having become so big that ‘tech’ has come to be understood as referring specifically to them. (Realized that the way this post is written could give the impression that the intro is a sort of topical preface by Crichton rather than part of the story, so to clarify: that is not the case. The intro is part of the story. And I like the way that we’re told the broad strokes of how things will end - the main events will involve a small number of people on an island in Central America over a couple days, many of those people will die, and InGen will go bankrupt - at the beginning, with the suspense in the book coming from the details.)

Outlast researching
Outlast is a 2013 first-person survival horror video game developed and published by Red Barrels. The game revolves around a freelance investigative journalist, Miles Upshur, who decides to investigate a remote psychiatric hospital named Mount Massive Asylum, located deep in the mountains of Lake County, Colorado.
The player can walk, run, crouch, jump, climb ladders and vault over objects. Unlike most games, however, the player does not have a visible health bar on the screen and is unable to attack enemies. The player must instead rely on stealth tactics such as hiding in lockers, sneaking past enemies, staying in the shadows, and hiding behind or under things to survive. Alternatively, the player can attempt to outrun their pursuer. If the player dies, the game will reset to the most recent checkpoint.
If the player records specific events with their camcorder, Miles will write a note about it, providing further insight into his thoughts. Documents can be collected, which offer backstory and other expository information about the facility, including pages taken from the diaries of patients and reports from the hospital staff.
Developer Red Barrels have pointed to the survival-focused gameplay in Amnesia: The Dark Descent as a primary influence on the combat-free narrative style of Outlast. Found-footage horror films like Quarantine and REC also served as influences.
Plot
Freelance investigative journalist Miles Upshur receives an anonymous e-mail that inhumane experiments are being conducted at Mount Massive Asylum, a private psychiatric hospital owned by the notoriously unethical Murkoff Corporation. Upon entering, Miles is shocked to discover its halls ransacked and littered with the mutilated corpses of the staff. He's informed by a dying officer of Murkoff's private military unit that Mount Massive's deranged inmates, known as "variants", have escaped and are freely roaming the grounds, butchering Murkoff's employees.
Moving on, Miles is suddenly ambushed by a hulking variant named Chris Walker, who knocks him unconscious. While incapacitated, Miles encounters Father Martin Archimbaud, a self-appointed priest with schizotypal personality disorder, who claims that Miles is his "apostle" and sabotages his escape by cutting off power to the front doors.
He escapes through the sewers to the main wards, pursued by Walker and two cannibalistic twins, only to be captured by Richard Trager, a former Murkoff executive driven insane. Trager amputates two of Miles' fingers with a pair of bone shears, preparing to do the same to his tongue and genitals. However, Miles escapes to an elevator, inadvertently crushing Trager to death between floors when he attacks him.
In the chapel, Miles finds a crucified Father Martin, who gives Miles a key to the atrium elevator that he insists will take him to freedom before immolating himself. Miles takes the elevator, which descends into a subterranean laboratory. Walker attacks him, only to be eviscerated by the Walrider. Miles locates an aged Wernicke, who confirms that the Walrider is a biotechnological nanite entity controlled by Billy Hope, a comatose subject of Murkoff's experiments.

Greenwashing and DDT
During our last lesson on this subject, a topic that was mentioned was Greenwashing. This practice is when companies try to establish their image as environmentally friendly, but in reality, they are doing the opposite and causing harm to the environment. This is a very interesting topic because different companies have different motivations for doing this practice. Currently, there is a huge trend in sustainability, and the government themselves are requiring companies to be sustainable and start their initiatives. Many consumers are starting to become environmentally conscious as well and might prefer companies with sustainable practices. Today, this is the main motivator on why companies result in greenwashing. I guess you can say that these companies just want to utilize the trends or perhaps at least comply with regulations. Some companies are more direct with their motivation. Companies simply lie because they want to sell their products and make more profit. 
In a vacuum, greenwashing is already bad because companies deceive themselves, and their customers, and ignore its effects on the environment. Besides these negative effects, greenwashing also undermines genuine efforts to promote sustainability. False and inaccurate reports also affect the overall key performance indicators of the country when it comes to achieving sustainable development goals. Not only do these companies not help with sustainability efforts, but their inaccurate reports and false advertising have negative effects on the overall agenda. 
I come from UPLB where I took a BS in Agricultural Biotechnology. Since that college is a college dedicated to different fields of agriculture, the students including me are very familiar with certain historical events involving our fields. One of those events that is very significant when it comes to greenwashing is the release of DDT or Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane. For me, this is a very serious case of greenwashing, and it happened in the 1940s when sustainability trends were not that serious yet. The motivation behind this event is purely greed and profit. DDT is a powerful insecticide. Considered groundbreaking during its time, its ability to control insect-borne diseases like malaria and typhus was unprecedented. When you spray this substance on your clothes, your clothes will continue to kill any insect that lands on them for weeks or even months to come. Not only did the manufacturers of this product hide the fact that the product has negative effects, but they promoted it as safe and effective for many years. 
Many stock footages exist where DDT is being sprayed in huge quantities in cities. It even includes videos of trucks spraying the substance in crowded places where old people and kids alike have direct contact with the substance. It was many years later when enough evidence was gathered to show that DDT has significant negative effects on the environment and our health. The first serious damage that it caused was the reduction of birds in any area where it was sprayed. The substance in DDT caused the shell thinning in the eggs of birds causing a significant decline in their population. Populations of fish and insects that are harmless are being reduced due to the substance. A controversial book called “Silent Spring” was written and its all about the effects of this artificial substance. The title of the book is based on the fact that many areas where the substance was used became silent due to the lack of birds and animals in the areas. DDT is so persistent that its traces last a long time in the food chain and the environment. 
DDT also has significant health implications. It is carcinogenic and linked to an increased risk of several types of cancer. It causes endocrine disruption and is also classified as a neurotoxin. Lastly, it affects our immune and reproductive system causing infertility and even miscarriages. Despite the heavy evidence against the substance, it was still marketed as safe and was used for a long time. This is one of the greatest examples of greenwashing that I know so far.
