i know everyone said 'replies from sideblogs could go bad' though personally i was excited for them (for topic specific sideblog running purposes) but i do think we should be able to send asks from sideblogs too tbh. it could also get exceptionally ugly very fast but i think that for all the topic-specific blogs like ask blogs, for systems who have headmates with diff sideblogs, and for people who want to make friends in smaller communities focused on niche topics unrelated to their main i feel like it would be worth it

this was an anti-zionist blog that allegedly was run by a group of people, but also seemed to be just one person. there was no information regarding members of this group and they did have a kofi/patreon/whatever those are i don’t use them that was updated maybe twice and still collected money. they demonstrated a very limited understanding of judaism and israel, and relied on antisemitism to discredit those that disagreed with them (mainly any perceived zionists which ended up being every jew on this website to them).

so OG TOR was nuked across platforms. I’m talking twitter, facebook, insta, and here. every account just… poof. i thought it would be funny to take the url because tikkun olam is a jewish value that i witnessed get used against us and make it the exact opposite but after making it i realized it would be better to maybe not make a joke out of this.

OG TOR’s disdain for the hostages hurt me the most. i don’t know any jew—zionist, antizionist, or non-zionist—that would ever stoop to that. i know all three of these types of people in real life and not a single one has disparaged the hostages. the previous TOR did.

i know for a fact someone made a lovely post that explains OG TOR issues a whole lot better than i just did and uses examples from the previous blogs posts as well. if someone is willing to link that for anon here i’d love you.

honestly i should start collecting all the shit OG TOR posted and put it into a folder for later but i’m lazy and hated them so much the thought of seeing any of those posts again fills me with rage and i am not an angry person, i like to think i’m polite.
