ok so 3 of these are composers i am unsure if they should COUNT.... if i removed the composers Interpol, TWICE and Daoko would be on the poll...... but alas i am not removing them i will always be a slave to sdv ost and lotr/hobbit ost being my top two. if anyone remembers my last years spotify wrapped it was the exact same and it is this year too. save me.
THE FUNNIEST PART IS HOWARD SHORE IS HERE BUT I SKIP MOST OF THE TRACKS CUZ I HAVE ALL THE INTENSE BATTLE TRACKS AND SHIT IN THERE TOO AND I DONT WANNA LISTEN TO THEM MOST OF THE TIME.................... i think it still counts tho cuz sometimes i just forget to press skip and i suffer through the 5 or so minutes like ough this is intense....... anyway..........
i think ghost might win. or borislav. so many of you are bg3 blogs still. if its not them its probably concernedape we love cute farming game music on tumblr dot com

Rating: Mature(? (CONTAINS BLOOD AND NAKED)

Words Count: 5,935
Notes: Im so sorry if the english is BAD, originally i speak spanish, may have some errors.
When I got the fight scene in the grove, I fell madly in love with this part, so there were slight modifications to get our wizard in action even for a few seconds heh :)

CHAPTER INDEX
Or... read Bellow
Fresh night air would bring special interest to the Tiefling, now was the moment to practise some magic before packing up when the party clears the way for us to go over the mountain pass.
A waterfall was not too far away from the grove, after being cleared of harpies it was a good place to practice and then clean the robe in case it became dirty.
The light of the moon and stars began to glow naturally as he walked away from the dim torches in the grove; Tieflings can see in the dark, so he wouldn't need to see where he was going to go to reach the waterfall.
The relaxing sound of the crickets and the waterfall would fill him with peace, not denying that it was beautiful and harmless. He would stretch his neck, arms and fingers to warm up and mentally practice the magicmissile spell or something a little more elevating like Shatter.
As he got closer to get some water he might notice something that would catch his attention, immediately he would lean behind the bushes and see if it wasn't an enemy under cover like a few days ago near the lookout point.
Then he would see a female figure in front of the waterfall, soaking her body, directing her thin hands to her neck behind a long and wet hair. In the brightness of the moon and stars, her facial features and her body would be more visible.
Her slightly pointed ears would embellish her delicate face viewed from the side, a straight nose and medium lips that would open for a better breathing, followed by a delicate neck followed by a delicate neck mark, a bite, which looked recent since it looks slightly reddened and her body decorated by freckles in cool and slightly dark tones.
She looked absolutely heavenly, something ironic coming from the thoughts of an infernal. - The woman would gather her hands together to collect water and pronounce a few words in a low voice, in front of her hands she would form flowers made of ice. She instantly reacted with pain in her arm, causing some crimson symbols to appear around her body.
Startled Rolan stepped forward, in an attempt to help, but stopped in his tracks as the woman dropped to her knees with her hands to her chest trying to concentrate on keeping her composure.
Different smells filled the place: chopped fresh flowers, cedar wood and blueberries; It appeared to summon an illusion of peace around her, her magic that was out of her hands would be mortifying her and that would help keep her calm.
The wave would be embracing her terrified heart in comfort.
" Damn tadpole..." he would barely utter that damnation.
Gazing at the woman again she opened her eyes, that eyes were the tip of the crown in her angelic face. Rolan noticed that those eyes with the subtle glow of the sunset he would have seen before, but he could not remember clearly because he was distracted with that body, accidentally he would break one of the branches of the bush, causing the woman to turn around automatically.
In a sudden act, she raised one of her hands to summon a cloud of steam that would obstruct his vision. As the steam dispersed, it was just him and the bright night.
Rolan easily nullified the magic, but his gaze remained distant until he awoke from his own imagination.
" Oh shit... I've been so impolite... I shouldn't have even seen her." he whispered to hymself, raising his hand to his forehead, he would feel a heat surround his face and his heartbeat quicken as he thought about what had happened; She would have seen him, will she recognize him and will tell it to the druids?
No... he never had seen that face around with the druids.
The thought of who it could be made him so excited in some ways....
Suddenly he would self-inflict a slap and plunge his head into the water. It was neither the place nor the time to think about that, he is not a vulgar man who would start thinking about every naked woman that came his way.
As he broke away from the water he just sighed, staring up at the sky; her magic was... odd and quite dangerous...
"Shit, not now...." His own gaze stopped down below, knowing what his current situation would make him feel like a total asshole.
Clearly the water didn't help...
The night would be longer than he expected by thinking of nothing else than her, he felt ashamed.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning wasn't going to be easy dealing with tiredness, Cal and Lia would be talking to Dammon about getting some stronger weapons, while Rolan would be leaning on the table, completely distant, maybe the sight of the pair of loving Tieflings would have overwhelmed him with the idea of having someone else in his life and his mind might have tricked him into believing that what he would have seen in the night was nothing more than a living dream.
The time passed normally until some heated discussions could be heard near the druids' sacred pit. Rikka an archer of the refugees would be leading children and adults to Mol's refuge, it was clear, the strange party had failed to stop goblins.
Dammon, Cal and Lia would help carry weapons to the gate of the grove.
With the short time of preparation, Rikka led the children with Alfira to Mol's hiding spot, Arabella's parents would hug the girl most affectionately, to say goodbye to her.
Rolan and Tilses led the adults into the secluded chamber through the stone door, though somehow there were less adult tieflings around than before, from the comments between Okta and her son Ikaron it would be learned that the others had been left to their own, leaving them to fend for themselves. Her son would be furious at their cowardly choice and she would chide him telling him to deal with the most important things instead of being angry with them.
"We could've been far away from this place by now." He murmured with a slight feeling of helplessness, but at last he was in this mess, the ""would've"" is useless right now.
Rolan, leaving the secluded chamber ran hastily to the door to find himself Zevlor giving orders to the remaining Tieflings, Dammon would prepare the weapons to give to the fighters, Guex would be rolling the barrels with oil and the others setting up a improvised barricade.
Cal and Lia would approach their brother with a worried expression and nervously lead him towards the hollow of the grove.
"Oh no, I'll be the one who will protect you two from the raid." Rolan said attempting to push his two brothers aside.
"You're crazy, we're not going to leave you there, inside, stumbhead." Lia said in a furic tone.
Suddenly the sound of an arrow shot followed by Zevlor giving orders in a loud voice.
"Wait! Wait! Bows down! -Gods above, we took you for a goblin. Get up here. We need to talk." From Zevlor's tone he looked annoyed, or at least that's what Rolan would hear before he was being dragged away by Cal and Lia.
"Can you let me go for all the hells sake?!" Said Rolan, roughly freeing himself from their grip.
"There's no discussion here, you're going to stay behind." Lia stamped her foot on the ground, tensing her shoulders.
"You asked to stand here, now you'll stand the obvious consequences, child..." Lia gritted her teeth as she listened to Rolan, Cal kept his distance between his two brothers who were arguing again.
"My powers are being wasted back here! I could repel any attack in the blink of an eye." Rolan said in a firm tone, but it would show his clear displeasure that his sister was now the one holding him back.
"Or wipe us in the blink of an eye. Best you stay right here." Lia spread her arms to stop any attempt to get him through her.
"Ridiculous. Someone of my skills should choose their own vantage point, now get out of the way." Rolan snapped with his arms crossed.
"She just means you're our last hope, Rolan. We, eh, may need you to save the day." Rolan just smiled sarcastically and would shake his head. In the distance he would notice a familiar faces approach. Yvainne and his team arrived. He would again turn his annoyed gaze to his worried brothers.
"Look at this place. Like a pen of hogs waiting for the butcher's knife. We need to act !" When Rolan said it out loud, Lia put her finger to her lips.
"Quiet! Some of the children might hear you." Cal would begin to wave his hands when his sister mentioned it in an attempt to quiet them down.
"Oh, perish the though they overhear a little honestly once in their short lives..." Lia would clench her fist when she heard Rolan's sarcastic comment.
"Enough! Both of you!" Cal shouted, them would be surprised and turn their attention to him and Yvainne.
"Battle formation. Now." She said with authority tone, something that should work if she was taller, but she's a little shorter than Lia.
"That's to say me at the front while the others stay back and do as i say?" He looked at her with a sassy smile.
"Shut it just for once, you insufferable, oafish!" Lia shouted, who was already a thread away from punching Rolan, Yvainne wouldn't have to suffer from his nefarious attitude.
Cal again shushed the two by putting an arm between them.
"Stop it! Listen to someone else for once." She nodded in gratitude to Cal to shut them up.
"If you want to fight so badly, your brothers will be on either side taking their distance from you. Your thunderwave will hurt them if they get close to you. We will be in the front to give you time to cast spells." He'd look at Yvainne's stance, he wouldn't seem unsure of his plan, but she looks upset.
"There you go, Rolan. - The glory of dying first of us is all yours. Happy?" Rolan would look back at his sister, giving a perfect smile.
"Exceedingly happy. But I won't be dying." Rolan said sassily with a satisfied grin. A final sigh came from Cal, that arguing was over.
Before all would head to the gate of the grove to the battle. Yvainne would grab Rolan's shoulder to get his attention, as he spun around, she would take his hand and give him a strange dagger.
As he touched the dagger he would feel a strange sensation, Something on the blade of the dagger felt like his magic fingers would be fading away.
"You know how to use it, don't you?" Yvainne spoke to him seriously and he would just stand quietly looking at the design of the dagger.
Then she stepped to his side to correct the position of his arm and make him hold more firmly the dagger.
"Lean on your most balanced foot, if someone is going to attack you, you have to raise your arm to block them and use their strength on your side, then thrust hard into the heart to the handle" Yvainne grabbed him by the hand to guide him, although both would feel an electricity coursing through both their arms.
It was something more than the touch of someone with magic in them, but rather there was a residue of lightning magic. He would turn instantly without dropping the knife.
"Well done, and if it's a goblin it won't be that hard for you to evade his strike and strike him in the neck." She give him a small pat on the back before running away without looking him directly in the eyes.
Rolan will look at his hand which She made contact with, it wouldn't hurt him, but it would leave him more intrigued, her appearance leaning to being skilled with short weapons, like a hunter; why she use magic being a hunter?. for him it doesn't make sense, and to be an ordinary mage she shouldn't escape that sparks of magic she would have already used, or at least he doesn't.
But his unanswerable questions he would keep for another time.
Arriving at the strategic location Yvainne would stay close to the battle horn with Zevlor and Gale. Karlach, Lae'zel and Wyll would be on the line outside the gate. Astarion next to Asharak and Shadowheart behind near the barricades.
Yvainne approached to the battle horn, as she blew it, the goblin army would arrive led by a Drow telling them that in the name of "The Absolute" all must die.
"This is it. Everything turns on this..." Zevlor raised his head and glared at everyone with resolution.
"I know that you are afraid... but I also know that you have been fighting your whole lives. We have never been handed the easy choices, or the gentle paths. And this is no different.
These creatures would take our lives, our children... our future. And we must resist!" At Zevlor's stirring speech, She touched her head in pain and pulled a dagger from his pocket, that pain causing her hands shaking until she thrust one of her dagger into her leg lightly.
The drow will point her hands at the door with a evil grin on her face, signalling the battalion to attack.
Spiders, Bugbears and Goblins would rush at a threatening speed while archers held a few back, Karlach Wyll and Laezel would strike down those who came perilously close to the gate.
Yvainne pronounced spells as she shot arrows with thorns that would damage accumulated groups. The wizards Gale and Rolan would conjure to take down some groups a little farther away to reduce lines.
A troll threw barrels at the group freeing goblins from inside which would complicate the group formation, Cal and Lakrissa would finish some of them to keep it from being the biggest of problems
Until some barrels hit her and a goblin would come out to try kill her first.
Gale stepped forward to throw a firebolt, before that happened, Astarion stabbed him through the neck with his dagger and pushed him into the void.
Rolan noticed that both of them seemed to be worried for her, something they shouldn't be doing to prevent any surprise attacks, something he also did. The fight intensified even more as the goblins crept over the door.
Amidst magics and arrows several goblins would be felled until a stronger arm pushed through leaving Rolan exposed. A bugbear, before he can react a blade stabbed through its chest, killing it instantly.
Yvainne stood in front of him holding one of her hand crossbows firing with one and her other hand reached out to help him.
"I made a promise with your brothers saving your ass, now get up." She stated with an authoritative voice and Rolan made no protest and grabbed his arm to get up, but before Rolan said anything a goblin arrow was about to hit him in the face, but fortunately it missed and Yvainne without thinking hit him with both arrows from your crossbows.
In the slight breeze her hair would blow to one side revealing some very familiar features which Rolan could barely process, however another of the annoying goblins would rush at them to get her from behind leading the Tiefling to put into practice what Yvainne taught him and throw that dagger into the goblin's eye socket.
However, being unaccustomed to it, the Tiefling will lose his balance and fall on her.
Both would look into their eyes in surprise, no one expected something like this to happen between them, that situation are making the moments in which both would cross each other's gazes feel like an eternity.
Rolan would find familiar that every single facial feature on Yvainne's once there was none of that disastrous hair on his face, was the same angelic face he had seen last night, even the bite mark was on the same side only it didn't look fresh any more.
Both of them snapped out of it when two more goblins came rushing up, she didn't have enough time to reload her crossbows. Yvainne nimbly pulled Rolan aside, to get closer to the goblins and raised her arms in a safe distance between her and the Tiefling still shocked at the shove.
"Detono"
She would push both goblins away with extreme force with thunderwave, sparks of thunder would rip her gloves, It was more than obvious, she was that woman from the waterfall, Rolan would get his wits about him to get up quickly to stand nearby in case someone arrives at her back.
"I recommend that you take a little more distance, it can burn you, or worse." Yvainne would say pulling off those gloves scorched by the uncontrolled magic and quickly loaded her crossbows, and before Rolan turned around again, She would be pushed by a goblin and fall from the top to the bottom of the gate.
Rolan in surprise would slam his staff with all his strength on the goblin's legs to cause it also to fall.
Though they fell the same height from the top of the gate to the scorched grass covered ground She appeared to be alright, although limping from injuries sustained from the height, Wyll would run to pick her up while Karlach would cover him.
In a sigh of relief, Rolan handled a few goblins using his newly perfected Thunderwave and picked up the dagger she had lent him from the dead goblin's eye. His sister Lia would arrive with arrowshot in the distance and Cal would cover her back.
"I'd have thought you'd be dead by now." Lia said with a smile as she saw that he was still alive.
Rolan would just shake his head, but he would show a smile as he saw that his brothers was still alright, encouraging him to continue against the goblins while Yvainne, Karlach and Wyll advanced towards the Drow giving a good fight.
They would be victorious as the Drow would be defeated.
Zevlor and some of Yvainne's companions would help pull them up over the gate for Shadowheart to attend to their injuries. The a few of the tiefling who had fought rested and celebrated by embracing each other.
While the three brothers would just pat each other on the back with a laugh of having had fun after all, they would go down to give full glory to the group.
The Tiefling paladin would look around outside to make sure it was over, in a sigh of relief he would turn to the refugees who were approaching in fear.
"That's... That's was the last of them. Tymora smiles on me... they're dead. We did it! Watching gods, you did it. They name us outcasts. Hellspawn. Foulblood.
But the blood of those who fell today ran as pure as any hero's - so I call us by another name: "We are survivors". We are family. The road to Baldurs gate is a long one yet. But you have earned every stride so far. Make your preparations - we will leave as soon as we're able. There is no hurry." The Tieflings would be cheering the atmosphere with claps, Karlach, Wyll and Gale would be looking happily at the refugees proud of the work while Yvainne, Astarion, Shadowheart and Laezel would be exchanging looks of surprise and surprise at being hailed as heroes.
The druid Halsin would arrive through the gate, watching all that had happened to the grove, but proud that everyone had survived, the Tieflings would approach excited for his return, with him in the grove it would give them enough time to prepare everything and leave in peace.
The three brothers would rest briefly, reclining against the wall, talking about that fight, which had inspired them as never before.
"The roads ought to be safer now there's a few less goblins skulking about." Cal wiped his face in relief.
"Speak for yourself! I don't think rhere's a bit of me that isn't hurting after that fight. Worth it, though." Lia would stretch her muscles to relax them as she spoke her words.
"Pfft... I'd barely call that a fight." Rolan said in a bragging tone.
"That's not what Cal and I saw. You seemed like you enjoyed being on top of Yvainne after all." Rolan reddened in discomfort, he had no idea that his brothers saw that moment, he wanted to forget all about it, it was not only a complete humiliation for him, but he flinched because of that. His brothers would laugh with complicity.
Between conversations and giggles, Yvainne's group arrived, Cal and Lia would chat excitedly with everyone until the moment came for Yvainne and Rolan turned their gazes to talk, possibly about what had happened.
"I suppose it was decent of you to return.... Who knew that just a low percent of power and a butcher's blade would be enough?" - He paused slightly at his comment.
"My thanks, truly. You managed well enough." He leaned slightly at his comment, his would look sincerely. His siblings would look at him mischievously, and they might exploit such behaviour. She would give him a smile and nod before leaving them alone to continue on their way to the druids' sacred pit.
"Well, it was a miracle that our personal ogre wasn't a jerk at last." Lia would mention, leaning on Cal's shoulder to grin mischievously at him. Rolan only rolled his eyes at the comment which had no effect on him.
"My lovely sister, you must stop confusing friendship with flirting, that's the reason why you are single." Lia would give him punch on the shoulder. Cal laughed loudly at the comment.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
As nightfall approached, the refugees would start to arrive for the celebration of their survival and to cheer for the heroes.
Rolan would be dragged by his brothers to the party, even if it wasn't to be his taste. But he didn't want to deny them going to the party.
To his surprise the party wasn't too bad, the wine would keep Rolan in decent mood enough to address at least two more words to anyone who approached him. Some of Yvainne's party members would be talking to each other and some others would be talking to the refugees.
As Yvainne was chatting with Astarion and sharing their wine between them, the elf was seemingly attempting to flirt with her, approaching like a cat frolicking with a mouse.
"Hey, make a dragon!" Lia exclaimed excitedly, Rolan would be snapped out of his thoughts as he listened to his sister.
"No, no, an Owlbear!" Cal interrupted Lia with the same excitement, they looked like children in his eyes, reminding him of the times when they asked him to do impossible things with magic in their chindhood.
"Toddlers are easier to please than you lot" Rolan would give his glass of wine to Cal for a moment. At that point Yvainne would approach with curiosity about what was going on between the three brothers.
"Patience... Have you no respect for showmanship?" He would stretch his fingers in readiness, with a most confident smile.
"Having performance issues, Rolan?" Said Cal mockingly, he would make a gesture of mild desperation.
"Hush, you. And... BEHOLD!" Rolan held out his arms, summoning a sphere of light so brilliant that it would fade into little shining spheres all around, the four of them would admire the beauty of those lights.
Yvainne clapped her hands, it was a small performance, it was beautiful anyway, Rolan would turn his gaze with his unwavering smile of self-confidence.
"Adoring applause? You're too kind!" Rolan would give a big bow to his humble three-person audience.
"Remember when he could barely cast that? " Lia said with a little mockery.
"They grow up so fast..." Cal replied with Lia's same expression to tease Rolan.
"Never have I met such troglodytes. Now, pass the wine." The confident smile was still visible on Rolan's face as he took his glass of wine.
"We're finally getting along? this is most impressive." Cal turned his shocked gaze to Yvainne who also seemed in the same way, that it didn't escalate into an argument as it had in the grove. Maybe it's the effect of the wine. Lia would hand the bottle of wine to her brother so that he could get even more wine.
Yvainne approached to talk with Lia.
"Look at them. How happy they are. We did that. " Lia smiled sincerely to Yvainne, after all, if it wasn't for her the whole grove would have become a cemetery.
"How about the three of you? Having fun?" Yvainne leaned against the wall as she asked, Lia wouldn't look away.
"Yeah. Don't tell Rolan, but his magic show might be the highlight. He's been doing them since we were little. He'll make it big in Baldur's Gate, I know it." Yvainne might look at Rolan at Lia's confession.
"He isn't so bloody exasperating; He has his charms, I suppose, he's had his conquests." Lia would shake her jug in search more drink.
"I think the drink is making you say more than you should." She said with a sigh of disbelief.
"I'd better get Cal to get another bottle before they run out of all of them. You know? I hope we meet again at Baldur's gate, I really need a friend." Lia would then grab Cal's arm and lead him away, leaving Rolan and Yvainne alone.
"An adoring crowd, fine wine... - I daresay this place is almost civilised." Rolan broke the silence as he swirled his overflowing wine glass.
"I didn't think you'd come. it didn't look like parties beneath the stars was your idea of fun." Rolan gave a faint smile at her response.
"It isn't, but Lia and Cal were so excited for tonight, I thought it cruel to leave. Just look at them, oh...." Rolan interrupted himself as they saw his siblings starting to dance with other tieflings.
Yvainne give a little giggle as she saw that they both were getting a little more drunk than expected.
"I have seen your qualities in battle and... I'm quite intrigued with your magic; could you show me? - Anything that involves not watching these dumbsts make fools of themselves would be good for me." Yvainne turned away in surprise at Rolan's invitation. "Ugh, please? I don't want to be dragged into a pitiful dance." She would nod at his invitation, both walking not too far away from the party.
The wind would lightly rustle the trees and bushes, the moon shining subtle enough to give a charming ambience.
"So... you're actually a magician, but that thunderwave seemed a bit out of control, what do you have to say about it?" She stretched out her arms with a lengthy sigh, at Rolan's question.
"I haven't practised magic in a long time, so I can't really measure the intensity of my spells, and the teacher that i had... - Well. teached me some tricks and spells, but at the end I've dedicated myself to be a good huntress as you may have seen. -- Yvainne pulled from her pocket a dagger with a distant look that seemed to decide whether to tell her whole story or not.
He would notice important holes in her story, an ordinary wizard, even if he did not know how to control his strength in spells, did not inflict that much damage.
"Well, to have that kind of problem at this point, you had a terrible teacher." She tightened his arms in discomfort.
Rolan would drink from his wine glass and set it aside to approach.
"Well maybe it's a simple spell, but that could help you learn how to measure your intensity. Consider it as a thank you" Rolan would clasp his hands to cast that spell of lights again, but this time it would be in front of them to study her posture in hands and back.
She look at him a bit frightened as she looked at his face, with the illumination of his own magic highlighting every fragment of his expression, he is just too calm, something more was causing her to see it and he would be focused enough to notice it. Rolan would gesture for her turn, she would try to settle herself properly.
Yvainne cast the spell, but the light came with a blast causing her to lose her balance, Rolan would quickly hold her by the shoulders to prevent her from falling. Rolan would rest both hands on her back to straighten her up.
"It could have been worse." Rolan would lower his posture to think, Yvainne would start playing with her hair, she felt embarrassed for having failed at such a simple thing.
Rolan would raise his finger as a sign that he had the idea.
"It's simple, probably your teacher tried to teach you powerful spells as a beginner by skipping the initial steps. technically you learned backwards" Yvainne tilted her gaze in confusion.
"What did he teach you first?" She looked down at her hands remembering a fatal spell that she wouldn't know where her master got the scroll to learn it from.
"It's bad idea, just that..." Rolan would exhale at Yvainne's response. A powerful spell in this place could result in serious injuries or worse.
"Well the old way then, you'll have to repeat the spell with less intensity every time, a pity that this is an "express class"- You'll have to practice by your own after all. unless you want destroy your gloves every time you try" Rolan's words would inspire her to try again.
It would take her a few failed attempts until one of her failures would push her slightly.
"That's better, try once more." He said in a serious tone, grabbing her shoulders for some support. Yvainne nodded and Rolan would take his hands off her shoulders to give her another chance.
Once again she would take a deep breath to concentrate and pray that her magic would not unleash again. But she would make it successfully; The lights glowed like fireflies, without explosions. She would turn excitedly to see Rolan's reaction, who was already looking at her proudly.
Both would stare at each other in silence, lost, without realising they were slowly approaching each other.
"Can you really see with all that hair in your face?" Yvainne stopped dead in her tracks at his question, moving her hand to her hair.
"It depends, i'm doing it to keep a low profile, no one notices a puny person with messy hair like a tramp, so i can do my job better..." She said directing her gaze to the ground, taking slight steps backward to get out of the way. But Rolan doesn't apart his look from her.
"Just for the magic you shouldn't keep it in your face..." Rolan removed part of the hair with his fingers, and the moment seemed endless and tense, uncertain if it was because they really had a feeling or if it was the wine and that moment doing its job.
"You should pick up that long hair.." Both of them were already dangerously close to the smell and almost the taste of wine, the heartbeat would increase as they would slowly get closer and close their eyes.
But a noise instantly alerted them, causing them to abruptly pull away from each other. It was Rolan's brothers laughing so hard that they even threw themselves on the ground, already quite drunk.
"Shall I call myself cupid, cheers to a night that we won't remember!" Lia said laughing.
"Don't be sure, maybe Rolan ran away from her, he hates any interaction with anyone." Cal laughed anyway until he saw that Rolan and Yvainne standing a few steps away with a mortified look on his face and she with surprise.
"Oh shit." Cal muttered as Lia stood up and would see them as well.
Rolan's face had flushed even more, this was a situation even more embarrassing than they had imagined, however after all in such a small party anyone could know if something more elevated happened.
Cal and Lia ran off where they came from, and Rolan would only slap his forehead.
Rolan muttered a damnation in infernal.
"What a such lovely family..." Yvainne broke their awkward silence with a nostalgic tone while taking a seat on the floor to pour some wine, and Rolan would sit down with an embarrassed sigh.
"These two are my world, even if they're exasperating." Rolan held his gaze steadily to the ambience. Without looking at her again.
"I want to thank you for this night, you have been so kind this whole time we have been at the party." Yvainne spoke looking at the sky. Rolan would bring his wine glass to his lips to drink, still thinking of that embarrassing moment.
"You deserved a decent treatment after you flattered my show, I suppose - I can always be obnoxious again." She laughed at Rolan's sassy tone again.
"Which route will you take to the city?" Rolan drank the wine until he had finished it.
"We're not quite sure, we'll discuss it with Halsin in the morning, but we're thinking of going through Underdark, I'm interested in making another one with the Sussur tree bark." Rolan turned to look at her, he had read in a book in Elturel about the native tree from the depths, he pulled out the dagger she had given him.
"Keep it, it could be very useful on your journey." Rolan looked at that dagger again, it is not an ordinary weapon.
It's strange in that the edge can cause all magic to be nullified from both of them. Why she'll have a weapon that will affect her if she cuts herself by mistake?
He would keep it very carefully.
They would both drink from their wine glasses looking out over the horizon, they would not touch the subject of that moment about the two of them.
Eventually they both stood up as they heard the party's noise die down without anything more to add.
"Well, I've already dedicated this moment to you, now I'll spend the rest of it with Lia, Cal and a good restful sleep before the journey to Baldur's gate. - If we meet again, well you'll see a mighty wizard, have a good sleep." Rolan would have left the secluded spot to search for his siblings, wearing an expression of false peace; deep inside he was angry about what he heard from his brothers.
Yvainne meanwhile would be meeting to talk to some of her companions, who would kindly give of their time. She had already befriended some of them.
Rolan and Ikaron helped to take Cal and Lia once the party was over for a rest before heading with the refugees to Baldurs gate.
They would leave at dawn and Rolan was excited to go and face his destiny as an apprentice of Lorroakan and give his siblings that life that the three of them would have wanted when they were just children.
And everything would be perfect.

Last Six Sentences
@magicmissiled tagged me to share my last six sentences, which did make me momentarily buffer as I'd just been working on something. Admittedly, this is not the most recent last six but that's because the newest batch of writing is only 2 sentences long. Anyhow, a tiny fraction of my deeply self-indulgent AtLA AU ft. a swamp-born waterbender Avatar (why is Sokka here? AU reasons)
She almost asked him if he was scared of going to the city, but their weeks together told her he wouldn’t admit it if he was. So instead she said, “thank you for coming with me. You didn’t have to come all this way, you know.” “Life debt Moh, remember?” Sokka said. “Besides, you need me to read the map.” “I know,” Moh said, because arguing the first point wasn’t going to work, and she couldn’t argue the second. “But still, thank you.”
tagging, should they be interested, @quantumghosts, @quilleth, @teaandinanity and @faejilly and anyone else who wants to play along is more than welcome to do so.
#moh is my baby#i love her so much and she's tailored so specifically to me lol#anyhow sokka was not meant to be here at all ever#but their dynamic is funny so#here he is#swamp songs paths#that's the fic name#this fic really grew legs it is#so long#and it has planned sequels#madness#and obvs now that i'm back at school i have the writing bug again#couldn't have had it when i had endless feckin free time nooo#awaylaughing writes#tag game

@askweisswolf tagged me in the last sentence challenge! RULES: Post the last sentence you wrote (fanfic / original / anything) and tag as many people as there are words in the sentence. I’m in BG3 hell (and enjoying every second of it). I have been developing Eva’s backstory as we lead up to the BG3 big bang challenge, so this is from that!
But instead of changing into her usual work clothes, she remained in the borrowed garments, opting to cling on to the first moment in a long time that made her feel happy rather than cling to dingy mundanity.
Ooh, let’s see if I can meet the challenge now (sorry if you don’t have anything, I’m just trying to meet the challenge because I am a competitive walnut): @molliehaswords @ysali @haarlep @mightymizora @a-rogue-tiddy-bot @a-rogue-oc @magicmissiled (i think you’ve already done it or been tagged, but have another tag to inspire you to write more!) @raysoffrost @roguelioness @roseategales @drakonovisny and anyone else who sees this and wants to do it!
#bg3#baldur's gate 3#paws speaks#my writing#my wips#oc: eva#i failed the challenge#social anxiety got the better of me XD

Last Six Sentences
Share the last six sentences you've written.
@foibles-fables tagged me for this, thank you so much! Well timed too haha, I've been steadily chipping away at the second chapter of my platonic-Vaggily-turned-platonic (???)-Chaggily fic Bear One Another's Burdens:
“Oh! Yes, of course.” “Great.” Immediately Vaggie’s hands were on Emily’s shoulders, and Emily was abruptly reminded of the fact that they were two very different kinds of angel because Vaggie may have been shorter than her, but the strength she channeled into her touch to make the seraphim sit down absolutely didn’t match her smaller stature. “Stay like this and try to spread your wings as much as you can, this is gonna take awhile.” The thought of trying to spread her wings again made Emily wince, but she was bracing herself for doing it anyway when Charlie gently squeezed her shoulder, looking at Vaggie. “I have an idea I think could help,” she said, then met Emily’s gaze. “If you’re okay with me touching you too?”
Tagging @the-darkness-does-not-bargain, @magicmissiled, @ohmypawsandwhiskers, @camillathe6th, and @the-rebel-archivist. And of course, anyone who sees this is free to join in!

literally caused mental illness within me. i think i developed a new disorder. this book made me more trans and more autistic. this book made my desire to be non-human even stronger. i want to go to area X
