I just want to put it here for the record that I wasn't making stuff up when I said that the anime series director, who also decided on the title (like cutting Todoroki Shouto Rising) and production decisions like added scenes (fire wings) or cut scenes (the Magesaki kids cheering on Shouto, Compress & Geten, etc.) was an Endeavor simp.

She tweets regularly about her personal fetishes relating to Endeavor. Which I didn't care about until it clearly affected her ability to faithfully adapt the series and in the process she robbed us of Shouto Rising.

Ao as it stands and pivoted toward, these are our main characters endings seem depressing af. and i dont want to watch shoto going to dabi's funeral in some passing page that wont be given much thought to. also the concert thing was bad and tone deaf/fanservice-y.

Yeah, it's not the most uplifting ending tbh.

I'd rather see Shouto getting some headpats from Class A and meeting the Magesaki kids or something heartwarming like that.

Is the latest movie's gonna have an OC character like Melissa, katsuma and mahoro and rody?

I wrote a post here of my speculations based on what we know so far.

Melissa and Rody were either introduced or implied already in the first teaser visual or first poster. Katsuma and Mahoro however only appeared on the third poster, so it's not excluded that we get something like that.

For sure, we will have the "OC Villain" who was alluded to in the first teaser, so he will have a big part this time, I assume.

Since this takes place sometime between Deku's return to UA and the start of the final war, there is an evacuation camp full of refugees that the kids can protect. I personally would hope that they'll focus on the known characters from the manga, there are plenty: the kids' parents, their siblings, the Magesaki kids, the kid who was yelling at Deku not to return, the star-headed dude from Episode 1, Eri, Kota, the Ordinary Woman, etc. If they'll make the movie for the existing fanbase, this is the right move to expand on the story.

The only reason to create an OC to protect is, if like with Rody, they want to use a popular star VA to get more / new people into the movie theater (not that there aren't many popular VAs already part of MHA) who are not already fans.
