Yesterday, Pantone introduced the Color of the Year 2023: PANTONE 18-1750 Viva Magenta, introducing as well a new era for its brand: the Pantone’s Official TikTok account.

Deeping in the first Instagram and TikTok post Pantone posted, Viva Magenta feels like deeping into the nature from a metaverse perspective, as wishing to live a great “metadventure”.

When you then read the caption of the post, you discover that the visuals is strength enough to support the worlds.

Vibrating with vim and vigor, a shade rooted in nature descending from the red family demonstrating a new signal of strength.

Tapping into the experimental spirit of Viva Magenta, Pantone explores the dynamic between Artificial Intelligence and human creativity to create “The Magentaverse.”

Viva Magenta is exactly a natural adventure into the metaverse, that encourage to be brave, fearless and rebellious, promoting with its exuberance both optimism and joy. It wants to guide you in the future, and in this era always more technologic. It encourages people’s self-expression without restraint, reconnecting them to the original matter.

The color its inspired by the red of cochineal, one of the most precious dyes belonging to the natural dye family as well as one of the strongest and brightest the world has known.

Color, as a visual language and a way to express ourselves, has the power to influence and make a statement, and so many brands through the years understood that a color, or a range of chose colors, can make them recognizable. And this is what Viva Magenta wants to celebrate: the intentionality of who we are, as colors, in our digital spaces, that in the past two years, also due to the global pandemic, become everyday more important. 

Viva Magenta is so an invitation to experiment and to share. This color warms of the natural world with the endless rich possibilities of the digital space. It deeps the modes of self-expression, giving the assurance and the motivation to stay open.

팬톤, 23년 트렌드 컬러로 기대를 모으고 있는 비바 마젠타(Viva Magenta)라는 대담한 핑크 컬러를 공개했다.

팬톤 18-1750 비바 마젠타는 레드 계열로 천연 염료 제품군에 속하는 가장 귀중한 염료 중 하나이자 세계에서 가장 강력하고 밝은 염료 중 하나인 코치닐의 빨간색에서 영감을 받았다.

비바 마젠타는 낙관적인 의미의 축하, 실험 및 제한없는 자기표현을 뜻한다.

팬톤의 전무이사인 Leatrice Eiseman은 "가상 세계가 일상 생활에서 더욱 두드러진 부분이됨에 따라 우리는 자연과 현실에서 영감을 얻으려고합니다."라고 성명서에서 말했다.

마이애미 비치의 아텍하우스(Artechouse)에서 '마젠타버스(Magentaverse)' 전시회의 첫 번째 모습을 공개했다.

해당 전시회에 대하여 아텍하우스(Artechouse)의 공동 창립자이자 전무 이사인 Tati Pastukhova는

"색상의 놀라운 생동감과 에너지를 강조하는 경험"으로 설계하였고, "모든 가능성을 최대한 활용하려면 '시각, 청각, 촉각을 고려해야 했다." 라고 전했다.

Immersive Art - Research Ettienne Viking

In developing ideas, i suggested the electronic composer Jean Michael Jarre. His musical concerts are made using current digital art technology, his most recent "Welcome To The Other Side" recreated the Notre Dame to raise money for it's repair after a devastating fire. During this concert you could walk around the Notre Dame in the audience looking around in VR while he was playing the concert live, there were also additional lights a moving assets that made the experience feel futuristic which in on theme for the artist. I suggested creating a immersive experience to a song similar to this for the dome where we could animate items in time to the music as it moves around the dome.

‌I then went on to suggest the recent build of The Sphere in Las Vegas. The 2.3 billion dollar development was to create the largest immersive experience in the world. on its opening week to showed immersive experiences of the world, galaxy and nature videos filed with 360 view for the audience inside. U2 also played the first concert inside showing spectacular digital art along side their music. this supported my idea for a musical immersive experience for the dome that used animations and assets for the audience.

‌I finally looked at the Artechouse, which provides installations year round. the one that caught my eye was the Magentaverse and Pantone Collection that was featured last year. These experiences you can walk through and see items moving around the room, the creativity of these installations inspired the idea behind the northern lights and galaxy background ideas for the dome project.
