What ocs do you have?

i have a lot blushes... i have a tag for them (just "my ocs") but i will list the different settings i have and the ocs (or at least the main ones) i have for them ill put it under a readmore though

the first one is about claire my friend claire. he is a vampire raised as a hunter by a family of vampire hunters who is learning to navigate interpersonal relationships and understand himself after the death of his father leads him to run away and become involved in a conflict between one cities main vampire coven and a mysterious cult that i have yet to iron out all the details for... some of the ohcees from this one are: -claire: main guy (gender neutral) you get it ^

-amber: human also caught up in the conflict while attempting to reconnect with her sibling who is a member of the coven (and she is claires eventual girlfriend)

-ambers siblings jake and (i dont have a name for the other one atm): ambers older sibling was turned into a vampire as a teen and drifted away from their family because watching their younger siblings age and outgrow them was too difficult and caused a lot of tension and conflict in the family. jake is a 16 year old boy and likes basketball and being taller than his adult siblings

-annie: a minor antagonist and claires "sister". she is trying to kill claire because she believes their fathers death was claires fault and has become obsessed with revenge

-zachary: dead father. the patriarch. a proud man who never once gave any of the people who depended on him what they needed

-magdelene: amber and claires mother. a resentful woman who hates her children and what they have become and is manipulating them to further the conflict between them

-opulence: leader of the local coven. french nobility turned vampire who fled the country and eventually wound up in [wherever this is all set] who has made a comfortable life for herself and her coven but is struggling to keep people safe in the midst of the conflict

-apotheosis: leader of the cult. a mysterious man who claims to know the truth to eternal life

there r a lot of other more minor characters... and a lot more that should exist but dont yet because im not a writer and this is more of a setting than the story i would like it to be 💯

NEXT STORY egress/regress. this is the only setting with a title. the description i give people:

A self-contained short story focusing on the lives and relationships of three people several years into a zombie apocalypse.

there are only three characters for this one, though i would like to flesh out their backstories and past relationships at some point:

-cooper: the main character. cooper kills people and feeds them to zombies. he does this because he believes he has to, because of the violence and destruction and pain he has seen committed against others since the outbreak.

-elliot: elliot lives nearby coopers residence, sharing land (but not property) with dahlia. they rely on cooper for protection and safety but his actions and the isolation the three of them experience has led them to become paranoid and distrustful (moreso than would be expected)

dahlia: dahlia is reclusive and does not trust the others, but trades her crops with them in return for safety and assistance with upkeep of the farm. she feels she has to keep the other two in check, but does not consider them trustworthy

-honorary mention: coopers dead father: a strong and very traditional man. raised cooper to the best of his abilities, alongside his hunting dogs

NEXT: i call this one "party story" when im talking about it... a (would be) visual novel following katherin, a young woman who finds herself face to face with the victim of her childhood bullying while at a university party and the conversation(s) they have

-katherin: a uni student in the last year of her degree, kat bullied dorothy as a young teen and outed her to the entire school one day after overhearing a conversation she was having with her "friend". kat has since realised that she is gay and had crazy internalised homophobia that made her a huge asshole and struggles with deeply regretting what she did. shes also a doggirl

-dorothy: dot is attending the same university, pursuing an arts degree. she holds little ill will for kats actions but is still wary when kat approaches her. depending on the choices you make throughout the conversation, you come to learn about the person she has become and about her partners

-aelyn: aelyn is one of dots partners. they are the manager at a clothing store and also makes and sells jewelry as a hobby. she lives with their other partner rebecca

-rebecca: dots other partner. she has an office job. thats about it these two dont have too much detail in the story its really just kat and dot. the other three are demons btw for no reason other than its fun

NEXT: last cohesive setting with multiple ocs! this follows two humans, an angel, and a demon, who are attempting to solve a murder and get into situations along the way

-zoey: a woman who, in the span of 24 hours, lost her job, found out her brother died, found out her brother was a warrior of heaven and that his guardian angel has now decided that she is his replacement, and found out that heaven and hell and angels and demons all exist. she is not happy about any of this and is trying to find the cause of her brothers death

-antares: a guardian angel who is being punished for the death of her charge. antares believes that, seeing as her charge has a twin, that she has a second chance, and is trying to convince zoey to come with her, and promises to help get to the bottom of what happened in an attempt to convince her

-[demon that doesnt have a name yet]: insists that it did NOT cause the death of zoeys brother, intentionally or otherwise. it claims to be able to lead them to the truth, in exchange for them helping it out with various things i havent decided on yet

-[guy that doesnt have a name yet]: pizza delivery guy who has an affinity for attracting supernatural forces and is the most scared guy in existence. hates that he is being led around to find various otherworldly beasts but refuses to leave the protection of the literal angel who he believes is the only way he can stay safe

-zoeys brother: the big question... what happened to this guy? someone who was supposed to become one of the strongest people on earth? what could have happened to him in the few seconds antares stopped watching over him

and thats it for stories... i have a lot more individual ocs that dont have a proper setting or are just one offs etc. or are fan ocs for something :) and one or two more settings that are old and i need to rework such as my superpowers ones. also i have another setting that is a game idea i have but that has less developed characters atm because i havent thought about it in a while. sorry this got so long omg i hope this explains these ones okay at least

Inspired by @auxiliarydetective‘s post here’s my OC’s and their name meanings:

Magdelana- woman from Magdala (I got her name from Saint Mary Magdelene because I wanted some relgious imagery to her name due to her relationship with Gregor and the Inquistion.)

Boudica- Victory (Got her name from the Celtic Warrior who fought against the romans, because I picture her clan being like the Celts plus they both have/had red hair)

Leta- Gladly (Honestly her name just sounded nice)

Yay! I’ve got so many prompts! First up, have you seen that TikTok trend where a kid gets in trouble for sitting in The Boss’ chair, but then they realize that the kid is The Boss’. That, but with Owen! He’d get so cocky and believe himself to be untouchable because of his mother, but then Mama Shaw arrives and puts him in his place.

I have no idea what trend you're talking about, sorry friend. I don't use Tik Tok

But it is really funny to imagine Owen getting way too cocky and Mama Shaw having to put him in his place!

Owen smirked harder as he popped a hard candy into his mouth and sucked hard on it. He leaned back in the large, plush chair he was sitting in and looked across the large, mahogany desk

Standing in front of him was one of the largest crime bosses in London. Normally, the man would be towering over people and striking fear into their hearts

But in front of Owen, the man's head was bowed and his hands were shaking as he balled them up

Owen wasn't going to lie and say he wasn't tempted to make the man kneel before him. But he wouldn't take it that far. Not yet, at least

"Tell me, Brindly, how's business?"

"It's fine, Mr. Shaw." The man forced out from behind clenched teeth. The response only made Owen smirk harder

"Really?" Owen hummed in thought, rolling the candy in his mouth. Nonchalantly, he lifted his legs and propped them up on the desk. "I've heard from a few sources that you've been struggling to pay back what you owe me."

Well, owes his mother specifically. Everyone knew in the UK, if you wanted to do any serious business in the criminal world, you needed to pay a fee to Queenie Shaw

Owen kindly took it upon himself to collect a few of those fees personally

"Not at all." The man hissed. "I don't know what those liars are telling you, but me and my boys are doing just fine."

Owen raised an unimpressed eyebrow at the simmering anger just below the man's skin. It was just too much fun to mess with these stuck up, older criminals. They always had a certain pride that bruised far too easily. Far too tempting for Owen

"Then, I hope that you let me know if these rumors ever become reality." Owen smiled warmly, but his eyes sent a silent warning

The man nodded stiffly before turning on his heel and storming out. Owen didn't hide his snort of amusement at all as he watched the small temper tantrum

"Kim, who's next?" Owen called out, looking over to one of his mother's goons. The woman was always around in London to keep track of the family business when his mother was out of town

"I believe there's someone of a very high status that would like to see you." A dry voice called out instead of Kim's high pitched one

Owen jerked around in the chair and let his feet hit the ground. Standing in the doorway was his mother's right hand man: Jeffrey. Who didn't look one bit amused by the situation

"Give them my deepest apologies then." Owen said smoothly. "I'm quite busy."

"Don't you dare give me that kind of lip, you little whelp."

Owen flinched slightly as he heard his mother's voice

Jeffrey stepped further into the room, allowing Queenie Shaw to step into the room. She looked extremely unamused

"Get the bloody hell out of my chair, Oh." The snapped

"Of course, mother."

I’m on a roll, and made another OC her names Pyra Magdalen and she’s a fire slime who grew up in a volcano in the middle of the city manman and awesome guy live in. She can create tentacles and some makeshift weapons (though not as hard as sharp as other slimes due to being lava) She can also cool her temperature so she can cuddle her gf/give contact to anyone without burning them. Her temperature usually can change depending on her emotions too.

[the man] originally found dog as a newborn right after his mother was dying by a river (bleeding out, unconscious) and was took him with his group because he wanted to be a father again (his daughter was eaten during the first day of the outbreak). but after like a year or two he realized it was more beneficial to treat dog as a tool & raise him to be a good soldier

3. How did you choose their name? (all of them)

Questions about Creating Your OCs.

Sit tight for another doozy.

We'll start with Ayumu and Eriko, since they're sisters (and, coincidentally, Ayumu's first name comes first alphabetically) and were the first two OCs I made. Their last name Király is a common Hungarian surname which translates to "King," a name that fits them, as they are both avid chess players. Of course, the reason their last name is Hungarian is that their father is Hungarian; and the reason that their first names are Japanese is that their mother is Japanese.

In one sense, Ayumu is named after Ayumu Kasuga, better known as Osaka, from Azumanga Daioh, always one of my favorite manga and anime. It also happens that Ayumu's and Osaka's name are written 歩, which happens to be the short form of the shōgi piece 歩兵, which translates to "foot soldier," or more commonly, "Pawn."

Eriko's name, on the other hand, just happened to be a Japanese name that I found rather pretty. I cannot think of a character from an anime or manga with that name, which may be part of the reason that I chose it.

Once again, I will speak of Giacomo Martini and Chiara Rossi together. More detail here. Both characters were developed out of a silly desire of mine to have an Italian duo named Martini & Rossi, after the famous brand of vermouth and wine (which I do quite enjoy).

Chiara's name simply came from the most popular fan name for Nyo!South Italy (or Nyo!Romano, most commonly) from Hetalia.

Giacomo's name evinces a common pattern you'll see henceforth: Biblical names. Specifically, St. Joachim, husband of St. Anne and father of Mary. Another pattern: my specific reason may just be, "It came to mind first, and it sounded good." Being able to bestow the nickname "Jack" upon him (given that he currently studies in Scotland [where they speak English, allegedly]) is a bonus; it can be a reference to my family's first pet, as well as to the playing card (and you know how much of an enthusiast I am for gambling).

Chunying Su's name probably just came from a quick lookup of common Chinese names. It helps that we can nickname her "Sue," the name of one of my favorite Fire Emblem characters.

Elizabeth Collins, of course, is named for St. Elizabeth, relative of Mary and mother of John the Baptist. Collins, I thought, would be sufficient to mark her as Irish without having to go into "Mc" or "O'" (or even "Fitz"!) territory, lel. That may still be on the cards, however.

I've always liked the name Erin, it's quite pretty. As for Staunton, that comes from Howard Staunton, one of the great chess players of the 19th century, and namesake of the Staunton chess set, which the vast majority of chess tournaments, from club to the world stage, use exclusively.

Fernando Vicente Olivares y López just sounds decently Hispanic enough. Any other names could have worked, probably, as long as they weren't Raúl. (Remember him?) On closer evaluation, Fernando Vicente probably comes straight from Vicente Fernández, the late, great Mexican musician.

Judyta Fiszer... named after Judith from the Bible, of course! As for Fischer, being named for Bobby Fischer obviously comes to mind. Perhaps I was really trying hard to go for a Jewish-sounding Polish name.

Katarina is a cute name, and is used decently enough in Norway. Håland was just the first Norwegian surname to come to mind that didn’t end in “-sen.”

Kazimieras, of course, is named for St. Casimir, patron saint of Lithuania. I believe that the surname Lukša is derived from Lukas, Lithuanian for Luke.

Kōichi is named after Inspector Zenigata from Lupin III. His last name, Uehara, like Katarina’s, was simply the first surname to come to mind.

Madeleine is named for St. Mary Magdelene, of course. I don't quite remember where Métraux comes from, but it is a common French surname (probably).

Miriam is named after the sister of Moses and Aaron. L��wenheim comes from the character of Lorens Löwenhielm from the Danish novel and film Babette's Feast. It just stuck out to me.

Peter August MacGregor sounded phonetic enough. I knew that, when I made a Scottish character, he had to be named MacGregor. Got to represent. His nickname “Wally” also rolls easily off the tongue, and is based off the Scottish slang phrase “you look peely-wally,” or “you seem unwell.”

Rafael Domingo de Guadalupe-Pérez... finally, someone named after someone in my family. Rafael was the name of my paternal great-grandfather, whose last name is my family name. Domingo, Sunday, the Lord's Day, good enough. And de Guadalupe, how much more Mexican can you get? Pérez is probably lifted straight from Sergio Pérez, the F1 driver from Mexico.

Reina María Ramos-San Martín... If you meet a young girl in the future whose first and middle names are María Reina, that's probably my kid. For some reason I want to name my daughter that. On the silliest side, if I have a son and daughter, their names will be José María and María José. (I'm mostly being tongue-in-cheek.) But, more seriously, I've always liked the name Reina. It helps that Mary is Queen of Heaven. As for Ramos, it's just a common Hispanic surname, while San Martín might be less so. I believe that Martin de Porres, the Peruvian saint whose patronage includes mixed-race people and racial harmony, as well as innkeepers and the poor, is the specific namesake.

Sara Hernández y Ortiz. Again, Sara is a cute name that I like. Hernández and Ortiz are also common Hispanic surnames.

Sayaka Asakura. Sayaka is definitely named for Sayaka Yumi, the female protagonist of Mazinger Z, one of the anime that my dad watched growing up in El Salvador. Asakura probably comes from Akio Asakura, protagonist of Wangan Midnight.

Vittoria Savio. Another name I like, Victoria. Savio comes from St. Dominic Savio, of course.

Last, but not least, Yuliya Serhiivna Bonarchuk. Yet again, Julia is a name I like. Her father is Serhii, so she will often be addressed as Yuliya Serhiivna. Now for Bonarchuk: that's the name of one of my favorite teachers in high school, who happens to have Ukrainian parents and no love for Lenin or Stalin.

Hopefully that was a fun read. It was quite fun writing this answer.
