Given last chapter preview

Hello~~

That Mafuyu smile – so happy without trace of sadness T_T

Btw it would be nice to get another Mafuyama date on ocean beach… or any proper date honestly XD Although confession from previous chapter was 100% perfect – still I hope we will get more of them talking about future together and simply being cute dorks in love^^

Finally, Given’s debut is discussed properly xD

I really missed all four of them hanging out together and having some fun like in previous arcs – I hope we will get that something akin to that good old times. I must admit that the bars are actually very low for me – that chapter with Haruki and Aki being condescending to Uenoyama left me with a sour taste, so you know  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I just hope we won’t getting anything like that again.

Besides, I am really curious how Given’s debut will be presented – my guess is that it will be portrayed like movie montage – their progress mixed with ordinary daily life. Then maybe story will be flash forwarded to 10 years later – reference to that anniversary illustration where they are shown older – and we will see Given preparing to go on scene for some major concert on tour with some Mauyu’s narration acknowledging how much he worked hard and how happy he is for choosing his path following music and his love aka Uechi ^^

In addition, I am sure Yuki will appear in some form – maybe again as ghost in audience or something like that. Yuki is just too important to Mafuyu and his final appearance would showcase Mafuyu’s journey to heal from that tragedy. Especially, there was similar choice in other Natsuki-sensei manga – Links - where dream about lost person helped protagonist to accept the past and the fact that they weren’t meant to be together – sometimes life is just like that. Still that acceptance helped him to focus on the present and to be happy with new beloved, with whom he wants to spend rest of his life. Imo there will be similar sentiment in Given’s final.

Final page of Links – simple yet beautiful. Maybe we will get something like that with Mafuyu’s guitar who knows^^

Why was she out here? She’ll never know, sometimes the Hellmark would bring her places either for her protection, or because Mephisto wanted something in that particular area. What the devil could want in what was clearly a red-light district was beyond Andi, unless this was some joke, or the bastard expected her to take up pole dancing...

Whether in the States, or what was definitely Japan, crime was still crime though, scum was still scum. How else was she supposed to describe seeing a group of men cornering two women in an alleyway. One woman in a white suit clearly terrified, while a shorter woman with glasses seemed to be giving the thugs a stare-down.

Well, hero time.

Mania dropped down from the top of the building and landed on one man, introducing his face to the asphalt, before slinging a web and grabbing a trash-can to bash against another. 

“Anata wa ittai nanidesu ka!?”

“Aw, what? afraid to pick on someone who can fight back?” Mania growled.

“Sore wa eigodesu ka?”

Mania turned to the two women, having made an opening for them to escape. The one in the white suit bowed her head, quickly thanking the black clad vigilante, before grabbing her friend with the glasses. The one with the glasses saying in English. “Kick their asses.”

And kick their asses Andi did, moving in a style almost akin to a break dancer, or fighting like a beast. One of them made an attempt to run before stopping in front of a new face. He wore a gaudy looking jacket, no shirt, Andi could faintly make out some tattoos on his chest, but the most striking feature was obviously the eyepatch.

“A-ah! Shinamo no Kyoken!” The thug seemed even more terrified now running face first into the stranger.

“What? You the big boss here?” Mania asked, crossing her arms over the distinct spider emblem on her chest.

I have a theory of fragment SEKAI's and card sets: Card sets happen at a fragment SEKAI.

1 - We learn from the first miku colorfes and from the SEKAI Cherry event that Fragment SEKAI's are like glowing orbs/crystals and that they appear by very strong feelings/memories

just like the gacha ones 2 - In Journey to Blom "HOPE" we get an animated version of Haruka's transformation, which in the game was represented by showing a cut-scene with a trained card, there by we learn that SEKAI can change someones clothing and hairstyle (for show purposes ig) like in the live aftershow

3 - Again from Miku ColorFes and SEKAI Cherry event, we discover a special SEKAI, connected to everyother SEKAI. Anyone from various SEKAI'S can access it via a Fragment by touching it

not to say that the orbs in miku's card look like the gacha orbs So it could be possible that after an event story takes place, the characters, when in SEKAI (after the aftershow maybe), could find that fragment and enter it. This is possible for same unit (VBS Len and MEIKO in Cherry event) or diferent ones. 4 - Another evidence could be the fact that this theory explains sets being in related places and card cameos, Trained card cameos, such as:

Oooh yeah i've had this idea for a couple years actually!! while i don't think they're canon, i think they're meant to be fragment sekai. actually i'm assuming this is where the idea of fragment sekai even comes from, since omoi no kakera the in-game wish piece resource came about a little while before omoi no kakera the in-story fragment of feelings (i'm not entirely sure how long the gap between wish pieces being implemented and kanade/mafuyu fes stories being written is, probably a few months to a year). i wonder if they looked at the cards and were like "what if we wrote a story about that".

the artists always talk about how the cards represent what the characters are feeling, and you picked out some good examples. imo they're like fragment sekai that only the player character (that i constantly forget exists) can see, we get to see a little bit about how the characters feel during certain scenarios.

mixed event idea

emu focus. saki and mafuyu four-stars. shiho three-star. wxs kaito two-star.

class 2-b are given an assignment that has them group up in a trio (shihosakiemu) and then be paired with an upperclassman who volunteered to help (mafuyu). while going through everything and preparing, emu and saki start plotting to make mafuyu smile, and drag shiho in on the plan. none of the plots make emu satisfied; despite getting mafuyu to smile, it never looks real to her. eventually, during a break, kaito pops in and offers emu another suggestion. she runs it by saki and shiho, who add on to it and agree to follow through. cut to mafuyu, having a chat with her own luka, who says she should try to relax a little if the younger students are just trying to make her do just that. that dropping of her guard leading to the final attempt working: mafuyu starts laughing after everything falls into place. a real laugh, unmistakable. and while calming down from it, she follows her impulse to join in on emu's little game. taken by the whimsy. kinda like kanade during Standing Next to the Kind and Gentle You.

mafuyu untrained that's just. her laughter. the unfettered joy that escapes thanks to 2-b. emu untrained being a still from the final planning phase with shihosaki on either side of her as cameos. saki untrained where she's being tutored by mafuyu with shiho trying to do the same for emu in the background at another pair of desks. and shiho untrained portraying the game they all play together at the end of the event, maybe shiho having the stupid little grin while saki, emu, and mafuyu enjoy themselves. that satisfaction of seeing it work out mixed with the joy of seeing saki and emu get what they wanted.

no idea what the trained set should be yet... might update later with ideas.

- Tsukasa has cameos with 11 different characters, Emu with 16, Nene with 13, and Rui with 12.

- Tsukasa is losing to Nene and Rui despite being more social than them, which is a neat and subtle nod to the fact that he is annoying and most people who haven’t built up a tolerance to him probably do not want to be near him in a card.

- Tsukasa and Nene have never had a card cameo with a member of MMJ. Rui has never had a card cameo with a member of L/N. Emu has a cameo with every unit.

- Tsukasa shares the spotlight of his cards with Rui over 2x more than he does with other characters, and the same is true with Emu wrt Nene.

- Nene will not share the spotlight of her cards with anyone but close friends apparently, but she will show up in the most random character’s cards.

- A hand holding a phone does not count as a cameo - Emu is holding the phone in Miku’s untrained sports festival card, and Nene is holding the phone in Rui’s untrained canary card, but neither of these count as a cameo.

- representations of wxs do not count.

- there are three animals meant to represent emu/nene/rui in lens trained gleaming stars 4*, which don’t count

- there’s a squirrel and monkey meant to represent nene and emu in Rui’s trained picnic 3* (and the mechanical monkey is probably tsukasa), which don’t count

- the cat that represented Rui in wonder halloween does not count as a Rui cameo. It shows up a lot though. I think it just likes attention.

- The robots rui modified to look like tsukasa and emu in his on this holy night 3* don’t count. This would probably bring up the question of “does nenerobo count as a nene cameo?” To which I say no. that thing has a soul.

- other examples that don’t count (that more closely resemble the actual character): emu’s drawing of tsukasa in her untrained initial 3*, Rui’s balloon tsukasa in his trained SOAD 4*, the little wxs on a log meiko has in her trained this holy night card, the poster of what is probably tsukasa in nene’s untrained fragment sekai card.
