Sorry to be 911 critical during a positivity event but it really is such a poor writing decision for Madney’s second baby, their first since they got married, to be an accident. They should have decided together that having a child was worth the risk instead of having fate decide for them. Maddie’s story has always been about her own agency and taking her own life back so the ability for her choose to have a second child would have been so much more powerful than the contrived drama of her coaxing Chimney into giving her permission to have it. It just feels like a major misstep out of line with where Maddie and Chimney should be at this point.

#Madney #911 critical #someone said 806 was the best episode of 8a and I have to strongly disagree because every single storyline disappointed me #as someone who loves all these characters #Eddie’s mental self sabotaging problems should not have been solved with a dance number #Madney’s baby should have been planned #and Buck and Tommy should have had a more satisfying conclusion to their romance #one that didn’t give us all hope that they’d come back that was quickly and cruelly crushed by journalists with obvious bias #getting to interview Lou AND frame the narrative #despite one of them being a literal fan site with no journalistic cred #and that person being a leaker and apparently laughing at Lou with the other interviewer afterwards #that was just a cruel cherry on top

As much as I don't want this to happen for them because they deserve another baby so much, what if Maddie has to have an abortion for medical reasons?

It could be such a powerful storyline, especially with the way American politics is going, and it would give both Kenny and Jennifer a really good opportunity to ACT.
