Reed DID NOT consider giving Franklin up. He thought of it,yes, but it seemed like he didn't want to. Intrusive thoughts? Anxiety? Sue knew that, she was just stressed at the situation. She doesn't want him to change his way of thinking. She was hurt because she was worried.

MCU Reed Richards IS NOT A BAD PERSON.

This has been my rant.

Also: TVTropes puts "Insufferable Genius" as one of his tropes, but he's not insufferable. He lacks social skills, that doesn't make him a bad husband or father. If he was, Sue would've divorced him.
