After a four year hiatus following their softmore album, Bumblebee and Friends would reunite, with there sites set on a new album. And lead singer and guitarist Andy Summers had been cooking up a new album over that four year period.

The album was the story of three teenagers. David, Molly and Jenny Christ. David, upset with his fathers extreme religious beliefs, forms his own cult with Jenny’s help, this part is explored in “Hell is a teenager” his older sister Molly tells him off for this, as stated in “Molly told me to die.” “Dear diary” and “Jenny Christ” explore Jenny’s true intentions of murdering David. “Worst kind of god” is about the rise of the cult from Molly’s perspective whereas “Rabbits like me” is from David’s perspective “Follow the moon” and “Reason my Dad Hates me” are about the ritual they use to avarice David’s father, and “Charming man” and “Tire Swing” talk about David’s death, Charming man from Jenny’s perspective and Tire swing from Mollys perspective

The album is regarded as Bumblebee and Friends greatest work, with the song “Charming man” becoming an instant classic in Midwest emo. The album became subject for the 2014 movie of the same name. A deluxe version was released in 2013, with two additional tracks

Taylor Swift's 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department dives into the lives of victorian women who refused to adopt wholesale the codes and conventions of the male poetic tradition.

Theodore Turner, Thomas Bennet, Paul Wright and David Morgan founded TTPD in 1835 in New York with the hopes of making their way through the world of literature. 20 years later they found themselves being the most prolific publishing house in the city with acclaimed poems and short stories becoming an undeniable force among their female readers. No one could believe four men around the age of 30 could understand the nuances of love, heartbreak, loss and hopelessness as well as they did. But not every story has a happy ending. While the four gentleman became history and their names were positioned next to the biggest names of american poetry of the 19th century there's something that lies beneath that chronicle.

35 Women were the backbone of TTPD writing everything from poems, short stories and even clever and witty jokes that were quite hard for victorian men to grasp. While relegated to the back of the building they tried to fought for their space in the poetry world. Each publication was signed with the initials TTPD and while common readers could interpret that as the well known acronym of the company's founders they believed leaving their own trace would mean something to future writers and women across the country.

The Tortured Poets Department was born out of anger and spite yet kept going for so many years, until the company closed, because the shared love for poetry and expressing and seeing the world in a different way was cathartic for 35 women who from a young age were told to get married fast and not intefere in gentlemen's business.

This album shines a light on those women who died thinking their efforts to become someone were useless. The Tortured Poets Department dives into lives of 35 victorian women who refused to adopt wholesale the codes and conventions of the male poetic tradition and recounts the story as it should've been told in the first place.

thinking about tranquility base hotel + casino today and about how fucking cool it was. like what do you mean you were done writing love songs so you watched a million movies, locked yourself away in your home recording studio (that you named the lunar surface), and wrote a semi-concept album about a hotel on the moon that you invented in your head? where you're both the receptionist and the lounge singer performing two shows a day four nights a week? completely with a taqueria that gets four stars out of five? as mentioned in the lead single that's literally a faux advertisement for the hotel and all its accommodations? in the video for which you play evil twin versions of yourself? and you made a 3d model of the hotel that you singlehandedly, painstakingly put together using cardboard and an x-acto knife? with a sign that literally spins around if you put in on your tape recorder and turn it on? and you made a picture of that model the cover art for the album?

Regional at Best is so special because it feels so exactly like what it is, which is an album made by a young person, younger than I am now, who'd given up everything else to make this dream work and probably had no idea what the hell he was going to do if it didn't. Keep working a normal job? Go back to college? What do you do if the dream doesn't work, when you're an early-20-something who (like all early-20-somethings) has precisely nothing else figured out? What do you do if everyone's right and the art isn't worth it?

Then your bandmates leave. But actually, it turns out perfect anyway, because you end up with this other guy who also has precisely nothing else figured out and no plan B except to be in this very band with you. How rare and precious of a thing that is, to meet someone who believes in your art just as much as you do. At least if you fail you fail together, right?

I think RAB feels like the end of summer and growing pains because it exists in that same itchy, anxious space as your last summer before you graduate high school/college, when it begins hitting you that there will never be a summer like this again because next year you're supposed to be grown up. But the truth is you never figured out how to grow up and you never figured out how to stop dreaming. So many people have to learn that lesson for various reasons, but Tyler and Josh never did because they believed in it so much that I think it truly never could've failed. Even if they never got as big as they did w/ Blurryface, I think they never could've failed because they are for the dreamers.

Self-titled is complicated and beautiful and core to everything else they would do after, but RAB is the beating heart of what tøp was always meant to be imo. It's embracing the fear of getting older because you have no other choice, while acknowledging you're still a little afraid of the dark. It's a night light for the grown-ups who are still scared of long dark hallways they can't see the end of (and work email chains). You turn 23 and discover you probably don't actually want to die as much as you used to, and also that you still think pokémon cards are fucking rad, and both of those things are okay. And maybe you'll never get out of this goddamn town but it never hurts to dream

In the winter of 2000, 20 year old Jane Freedman and her 18 year old brother Carson discovered a mixtape that there late father, Jesse Freedman, recorded sometime 1995. There father, who was 28 at the time, loved the unique sound of the smashing pumpkins, and recorded several songs using only his guitar. He attempted to get it recorded in a studio, but never had the time to do so.

The siblings, wanting to honor there father after taking his life, following the death of there youngest sibling, Rex, who was only 16 and was murdered by his bully, 17 year old Tom Lucas Miles, about nine months before there fathers death and a two years after Jesses divorce from his wife, Holly Peyton.

Many of the songs that were written by Jesse were emotionally charged. Writing about his break up with Janes mother, Cristina Garson, his best friend Alan’s suicide attempt, his Mother abandoning him and his dad, his complicated relationship with his dad, and his many failing relationships.

Some of the songs were on a more light hearted note. The song “For Jane” was about the happiness that his young daughter brought him. Forever and always was about his relationship with his future wife Holly, While it was emotional for the siblings to record. And Raccoon man come home was a humorous retelling of his experience with a bad roomate

The most emotionally challenging song for the siblings was “Body Horror” Jesse struggled with bulimia and other eating disorders for the majority of his life, and this caused great trauma not only for himself but also his three children.

Having some guitar experience, and Carson having some experience in a band during his junior year of high school, they decided to form a band to re-record the tape, entitled “Recording no.1” They enlisted the help of Rory Chase and Felix Waters to help, Rory on drums, Felix on bass. The two of them worked at the same record store as Jane.

The siblings wrote the two bonus tracks “Bully” and “Via Airplane” themselves. “Bully” was meant as a direct message to there brothers killer, and Via Airplane was about the death of there father.

The album did not chart, but it did gain enough popularity and critical acclaim to result in a second album for the band, entitled “Lost bird” which’s title track would chart at no. 8 in 2003

and it's just him CLEARLY checking you out while also being so catty. he can't even match his tone to his words, he sounds like a lovestruck fool. you're so smooth, so calm and collected bc you have proper MEDIA TRAINING lmao

he just gasps, both of your aesthetics have always clashed, but that's what made the upcoming collab even more iconic. you were graceful, he was a goddamn mess.

then his manager chimes in all quickly like,

he rolls his eyes, a smug smile manifesting as you and his manager just look at each other, smiling knowingly.

"You're definitely adored by the fans no doubt, but It's no secret you're a bit... Eccentric on and off stage... You know, like that one time when you held up the concert discussing different methods to off yourself? Or when you were an hour late because you spent so much time changing your bandages and then came out black out drunk on Sake?"

Dazai just groans like the bratty manchild he is, as if it were untrue.

"Ohhhhh come onnnn... It's for rock n roll!"

you giggle and lean in, arms crossed as you bat your lashes.

"And now it'll be for Pop. And for me, hopefully?"

"Whatever. Maybe. I don't do anything for you, even if your hair is so shiny and your makeup is effortlessly done... Those insanely flattering outfits do you no favors until you walk out of the dressing room, it's honestly so lame."

he just goes on and on while you just admire him quietly with a wide smile. you know what he means, even if he denies it. you feel it too. before you're called to set, you simply clear your throat and toss your hair over your shoulder, your voice soft and firm.

"I have to go now, Dazai... But I guess you'll just need a time and date to express your grievances further? My manager will talk to yours. Bye for now~"

you turn to saunter away in a whirl of lingering heavenly presence and he just stands there, standing a little taller than usual, cheeks uncharacteristically red. He turns to his manager and mumbles as if still in a trance yet the corner of his lip twitches.

"... I think I have a new idea for a song. Set up that meeting soon? 'kay?"

YOU LEAVE THE MAN SPEECHLESS, ITS NO WONDER YOURE SO ADORED... he's secretly looking forward your little play date. he's been dying to have you one on one despite the odds against you both.
