I saw some kawaii tights on Pinterest and that for some reason caused me to start thinking about Herta from Star Rail again for some reason. I finally decided to look up what kind of doll she is. I was looking at pictures of her. I was also thinking about my Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. And then I had the sudden thought that what if I’m dollkin…? Specially ball-jointed dollkin. I’ve been otherkin in other things before that had went away (such as inumimi and okamimi and the lythari elf). Is it really okay for me to claim this? What if the feeling goes away again? Would I be considered as faking it or whatever?

Someone please draw Herta doing her Ult. “Ever seen a diamond this big? It’s alll yours!” but the enemy she’s fighting just plucks it mid-air and says/does something to show they’re happy and “you said it was mine”

It was 13:00 system hours in the Genius Society's headquarters. It was a lavish office, more fit for royalty than for an interview to a society of geniuses. Lavish paintings hung on the walls, expensive woodwork, and a design philosophy that could put even the richest in debt, this office had it all.

"You're Herta, right? The Herta? Could you spare a few minutes to get me a glass of water? Slightly cold, or just plain cold will do."

Faisal, a slightly rotund male with slightly messy hair and a black jacket strewn on, asks the puppet genius. A glass of water could help him think on hard questions, or so he heard.

*Herta gives the young man a passive look up and down-- almost looking bored save for a small glimmer of interest in her eyes.*

"Of course it's me! There aren't any other Hertas in the universe, are there?" *The puppet-girl teases, although there is very clearly an underlying edge of bitterness.*

"...I'm a Genius. Number eighty-three, to be precise! I don't 'get' water for mundanites."

*Herta sighs resignedly, sparing the clearly worried man some mercy.* "...I'll send a drone to fetch you a glass. It should be back in a few minutes."

"I'm assuming you're here for the interviews?" *She asks curtly, tapping a finger against her desk.* "Well then. Sit down." *The puppet doesn't await an answer, pulling out a few papers and a pen before lying them in strategic places on her desk.*

BEING SUMMONED BY MADAME HERTA always evokes aa lot of strange emotions within them ranging from defiance, sadness, but also a level of DETERMINATION. right now, they did not feel the last one as they were feeling rather lazy today. they did not even bother to look at the message considering that the moment they laid their eyes on the notification, they already KNEW what she wanted. to test the simulated universe, find if there are any bugs, try to resonate with the aeons from within, & ultimately test out the enemies. the immersiveness of it is fun in the moment but at the same time, certain parts of the universe never fails to give them headaches given the scenarios from within. the familiar environments and opponents that are in there also gets them troubled at times, giving them a false sense of deja vu but they know that they cannot DENY herta. she is persistent and to her credit, she does compensate them.

groaning, they are certain that there is no escape from this which is why they now stand outside of the office of the simulated universe. one of her puppets are bound to be INSIDE and they know they must inform her of their arrival now unless she gets more impatient.
