Sam in s8 being like “I get it now Dean. It’s not that you don’t trust me, it’s that you can only trust yourself” re: the trials is equally hilarious and really sad tbh. Like, Dean fully laid it out for Sam with some of the best clear communication skills they’ve exhibited up until this point and SAM MAKES IT ABOUT HIMSELF????

Dean literally was like “hey, I’m gonna do this cause I want to fucking die anyways, and you somehow see a life after hunting and I don’t! And I want that for you! So I’m gonna do these trials and save the world and maybe my life will mean something if I do that, and then you’re gonna go live that dope ass life you think is possible.” And Sam just goes “oh what so you don’t tRUST ME?!” As if 1) this was about him at all and 2) he hasn’t given Dean a reason in the past year to question how much Sam actually cares about him. This man really saw dean trying to do some self-destructive bullshit and went “nope, sorry, I’M the main character. I am the center of attention.”

AND DEAN JUST LETS HIM MAKE HIMSELF INTO A MARTYR AGAINST HIS BETTER JUDGMENT WHILE SAM CONSTANTLY GIVES HIM SHIT FOR NOT WANTING SAM TO DO THE TRIALS LIKE THATS SOMEHOW A BAD THING????? It’s a good thing I am not in the spn universe because I would’ve smacked Sam every time he opened his big rude mouth like smfh, you think you get to make a dumb ass decision and then be mean to your brother because you regret it?! Fuck that, go to therapy you weirdo, and apologize to your brother.

(I’m listening to the motw podcast and they keep talking about how dean’s the emotionally broken one and so does fandom as a whole but like, idk man, Dean’s pretty good at not taking his own bullshit out on other people like 80% of the time when he’s not going through a Perpetual Big Trauma. Sam stubs his toe and is like “damn it Dean why did you put that weapons bag there, god you’re such an asshole” as if he didn’t carry that bag in himself. He do be broken but he’s never stopped to look past John’s inflicted trauma to work on what’s wrong with him just in general lmao)

I keep waffling back and forth the further I get in the show between “Sam truly just doesn’t know anything about Dean as a person” and “Sam’s just doing this because he knows Dean well enough to know that it will crush him.” And I’m not sure where that ven diagram middle part meets, but I think Sam exists somewhere in there at least up until almost s9.

Of course, there’s always the whole thing of Sam projects all his trauma and inner turmoil onto others (usually Dean) and takes it out on them, but fandom is never ready to talk about that.

🤷‍♀️ idk my dudes, I’m a little worried that I won’t be able to make it through s9 on my rewatch. I forgot this bullshit started in s8.

So I've been procrastinating my assignment by re-reading Stubborn Love & your other POV fics & since I've spent the last couple of months jumping from SVU to JAG & back again, after reading them today my brain just went outside POV for Harm & Mac because I think they'd give Liv & El a run for their money tbh.

Like maybe set in S10 when Cresswell comes in & he's already spoken to Chegwidden about the job & gotten the 'do not separate Rabb & MacKenzie no matter what' spiel (because as bad as they are together they Do Not play nice with others) & Cresswell is fine to leave things as the status quo while he settles in. But he knows Rabb by reputation only & Mac from her past in Okinawa & John Farrow so he's curious about them & the scuttlebutt is interesting to say the least even tho Chegwidden swears nothing has happened (Cresswell thinks about the strings Chegwidden pulled for Roberts & Sims & doesn't quite trust his word on that front).

Then he arrives at JAG & Harm & Mac are better then they've been but nowhere near where they were & they throw him because they're not exactly friendly but they have this intimacy between them (communicating without words, finishing each other's sentences & always standing right on top of each other) that he just can't make sense of & the way they work together in court just leaves him like 🤯🤯🤯 Plus they are always together - Cresswell learns quickly that if you are looking for one the first place you look is the other's office.

But someone (maybe Sturgis) says something the first time they are opposing council & Cresswell decides to sit in & just sits there frozen as everything implodes (& he vaguely remembers Chegwidden mentioning something about Rabb firing an automatic weapon in that very courtroom after sandbagging MacKenzie the first time they opposed each other & he feels like he shouldn't be so surprised); following along silently afterwards as they argue (bicker??) thru the bullpen as Roberts plays mediator & the rest of the bullpen ignores them (not true - the new guys are staring frozen watching) until they get to their offices & Mac says something about dinner tonight as Chloe is looking forward to seeing him & Harm says he & Mattie'll be there at 7 & just like that they're okay again & Cresswell feels a headache coming on.

But the new recruits have a lot of questions (& so does he) so he listens the next time they all find themselves at the Roberts' for a get together (& the two of them seem to have disappeared somewhere) while Bud, Harriet, Coates & Sturgis regale everyone with stories of Harm & Mac's past exploits - she found him in the middle of the Atlantic ocean when his plane went down, he found her in Paraguay, she followed him to Russia TWICE, he kept her alive when she got shot that time in the mountains, how they both disobeyed direct orders to stay with Bud after his leg got blown off etc - & Cresswell is just screaming at this point because what the absolute f*ck is going on between these two??? because by now he's seen enough to agree that nothing has happened but at the same time something must have happened for them to be like this & it is driving him insane (at this point his wife prefers them to her usual soaps) & he just. wants. answers!

While I've seen a few eps from S9 & S10 (like the Paraguay arc) I'm only on S5 so I haven't really seen how Cresswell reacts to them (if he does at all) but I couldn't get this out of my head. I might have more thoughts once I finally see these seasons in full but also: Am I ever going to actually write this? Unlikely (so if anyone wants to run with it they can). It was just something entertaining I've been thinking about that I thought I'd share.

I loved Cresswell's arc; I loved bringing in someone who remembered Mac from her John Farrow days and how that threatens the life that she's built; she has worked so hard to grow and overcome her past and then in walks someone who remembers the old her, and doesn't trust her the way Chegwidden does, and that's scary for her. But to see it all from his perspective? For him to see how this woman has grown? But also to know she's fully willing to throw the regulations out the window and hear all these stories about her and Harm.... delicious. I just. Wow I love every word you wrote here

My sweet Scottish Prince: Jamie Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser 

2. who is your least favorite character in 1?

Hmm. I have to say Cage Wallace. All around an evil, selfish bastard. In a show as morally grey as t100, he was straight-up awful to me. 

3. what is your favorite episode of 4?

Ugh. There are so many good ones. If I had to pick a fave, it’d be 2x13. Super intense. The way the team bands together to save Chloe’s life and the emotion of “Unsteady” in the background was so powerful I got chills watching it. 10/10. 

4. what is your favorite season of 5?

I’d say season 2. The early seasons are special to me and I live for the pining between Jim & Pam and their cute friendship. Yes, please. 

5. who is your favorite couple in 3?

Of course it’s the show where I have multiple otp’s. It might be a tie between Jonerys and Braime. I love them both and their endings broke me 😢

6. who is your favorite couple in 2?

That’s easy lol. Jamie/Claire all the way, babey.

Ahh how do I choose?? Praimfaya has Peak Bellarke and that crazy time jump reveal plus Clarke’s 2,199 phone calls so it’s def up there. 

S6 has been such a goldmine for content, this is hard. I have to say Nevermind bc I’m always here for my bitch Clarke getting the focus and the ep was emotional as hell. I loved the mindspace stuff so much! 

8. what is your favorite episode of 5?

The Finale, s9, immediately popped into my head. There’s Dwight & Angela’s wedding, Michael coming back, the last talking heads. Ugh. It gets me crying every single time. 

9. what is your favorite season of 2?

Definitely season 1. I loved the setting with the Mackenzie’s, watching Jamie & Claire fall in love, and the drama with Blackjack in the beginning had me on the edge of my seat. Amazing season. 

10. how long have you watched 1?

Not long, actually. I got caught up when s5 was still airing. I’ve been in t100 fandom for a year now. It’s been such a wild ride already, but I feel like I came in at a good time. Kind of wished I watched from the beginning, but oh well. 

11. how did you become interested in 3?

My dad pushed me into it, but come on. GoT is everywhere. Can’t really avoid it, so I caved. After that hideous ending, oh do I reget it. Yikes. 

12. who is your favorite actor in 4?

Tom Ellis is a gem. He plays Lucifer with such charisma and danger and vulnerability. The combination is thrilling to watch. I love his performance in every episode and he’s gorgeous too! 

13. which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5?

T100 has taken over my life, so yeah that’s the winner. I’ve re-watched The Office more and it’s special to me, but Clarke & Bellamy are my babies. I gotta be a loyal hoe.

I think 3. GoT has 8 seasons. 

15. if you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?

Chloe Decker. She’s a badass cop and Lucifer Morningstar is in love with her. Her life is pretty great haha. 

16. would a crossover between 3 and 4 work?

That’d be interesting. The settings don’t match at all, but I’d love to see Lucifer in King’s Landing so why not? 

17. pair two characters in 1 that would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple

So my pick for a crack-ship? I feel like Clarke x Gaia could work. Idk how unlikely it is, but they both love Madi. Or Clarke x Emori. Hell, Clurphy is hot too, not gonna lie. 

Idk man. They’re all attractive people and have good chemistry (with a few exceptions 😉). I’m open to Murven, Murphamy and Octavia x Gabriel. 

18. overall, which story has the better storyline, 3 or 5?

The Office. Could have been GoT but they fucked everything up so. The Office was true to its characters, consistently funny and gave the show a satisfying ending. Not that hard to beat GoT there. 

19. which has the better theme music, 2 or 4?

Outlander’s theme music is hauntingly beautiful. Hands-down.

for vn, it probably more due to the producer in charge of the series leaving the company. that's why everything feels abrupt. that producer was also the one responsible bringing in more female routes, so some wlws have been wary abt the app. for l&l, the non-general routes are ending in s9. alain's kind of end early since the wq has been defeated in his s5. helena's still in question, but from the looks of it, she'd get a s7 at least. sp has slowed down to a crawl, though.

also, i think lovestruck has read the opinion about the kids, so not all l&l lis would have it. at least, august s9 (his finale season) doesn't end with them having kids. iseul has a really bratty one, though, and his s9 is really frustrating to read lol. the jury is still out on the other ones.

Whaaat? See, I very obviously am terribly out of the loop since I only hop on occasionally to read two episodes then leave again for a couple weeks since I have to let the tickets recharge and forget to return when they do. I’m sorry I’m so ignorant about what’s going on. I had no idea the producer was leaving, but it’s a shame there couldn’t have been a better way to wrap things up.

I hope there continues to be a steady stream of female love interests and it doesn’t end up being one female for a bunch of male love interests in a given series going forward.

I never read Alain’s route and I’ve heard it’s an absolute trainwreck so it’s probably for the best it ended sooner rather than later, I imagine. I hope the Witch Queen gets to be defeated in Helena’s route and she can get the closure from that that she wants.

I don’t know what was going on with the other love interests in Starship Promise, but as far as Nova’s route went I’m not sure how much milage was left in it once they defeated the... Thing, whose actual name I’m forgetting. That thing that they decided to create some super child for.

Yeah, I’m glad about that since so far it seems a few have ditched the children (thank god) like maybe Helena’s since kids don’t really seem to come up in conversation too much, it wasn’t mentioned more than once if at all in Lorelei’s route when that was a thing (but who knows what was going to happen with that since it was abandoned now). It makes sense for Mackenzie’s route if it goes on long enough for kids to come into the picture, so I’d be okay with that, for example.

Oh no, I’m sorry to hear that for the Iseul readers! I hope the other characters who do have children, aren’t stuck with insufferable ones.
