Based on the OC height post... Had to draw Maurice and Machuriel meeting. I can tell you, Maurice would be TERRIFIED of this strange glowing figure.

 the next emergency commission i completed last year was this one, for the fantastic @angryducktimemachine who asked for his and his friend’s beautiful ocs, machuriel and hiram. 

 this one is my favorite from the entire bunch, hands down. i think it turned out wonderful, and some parts took plenty of thought, but i think it all came together for a very smooth whole. i’d been daydreaming about drawing machuriel’s hair for weeks before i got to ed’s order and by fuck, it was as fun and satisfactory as i thought it would be. ed, working with you made this far better than it would have been otherwise. thank you for your love and support!! <3333

i got a bit carried away but heres a drawing of me and @angryducktimemachine oc’s Nebula and Machuriel 🌟

I also thought it'd be quite the fun exercise in drawing people interacting with each other - and it certainly was!

Round Two of "when in doubt, doodle characters just kinda existing", OC edition. Oh we're mixing all the sources together here, Machuriel an old star wars oc, Friederick being a storm cleric with Jeremy as a Redemption-Paladin-Detective and ending with Kiesel, an Outer Wilds OC.

Drew a few of my OCs (+ a guest OC by my dear friend @cheraxny ) in outfits of mine.

Hiram (belongs to my friend) and his partner Machuriel, our favourite little rogue Matthäus and last but not least: Friederick.

They're also all in scale to each other with Machuriel being a bit over 2 metres while Friederick just about missed the 1 metre mark.

Short Grumpy Men and their Tall, Fancy Partners stay winning.

After working on Polly I of course had to give it a go at Machuriel and well... I can't just leave Machuriel all alone like that so @cheraxny 's Hiram was next. You can't quite tell in the photo but his armor parts were seperately cut and glued on with a bit of space to the base.

Machuriel is a Diathim with shoulder length, curly hair which is made out of curled paper stripes. Their eyes are blue and they're wearing a blue shirt and a little pink necklace.

Motion (your pick on the oc)

Machuriel moves pretty light on their feet! They like to have a little bounce in their step and they tend to swirl around when working somewhere like in a kitchen! They usually wear long and flowy clothes that doesn't really hinder their movement at all! They're decently flexible but nothing out of the ordinary. They're quite graceful when moving around!

They also aren't afraid to take up space and talk with open gestures or stretching out their wings!

Love talking about my OCs but realized other people or people who just followed me don't know shit about them so here's an overview of the current most important ones:

Matthäus: three headed rat folk, a pathfinder rogue, specifically the kind of rogue who commits mischief by just showing enough confidence to get away with anything in broad daylight, mischievous but charming. Loves his friends maybe a little too much for some people.

Friederick Steinbacherl-Nomme: Gnome Storm Cleric (recently turned Warlock in our now on hiatus campaign), trans guy who decided to simply cut off his old life by going to sea, AroAce and divorced, a bit awkward socially and doesn't like to hang out with people

Jeremy Goodgrove: Halfling Paladin of Redemption, works as a detective, was part of a three-shot-campaign but was so much fun I'm promoting him to proper brain Blorbo, tries to be calm but fails

Machuriel: Diathim, star wars oc in theory but me and star wars had a divorce and I kept them, complicated relationship with twin brother, left home planet to see the galaxy, makes people uncomfortable because they tend to see their loved ones in their face when not focusing on them visually, calm and curious, light-hearted presence

There are so, so many more OCs you'll find scrolling through my blog but these are the ones I'm currently working on the most :3

Hey hey hey, random OC question:

Prompted by the post about Friederick formerly being a whaler - which of your OCs sing? I bet Friederick at least knows some sea shanties...

Ohh!! Oh I bet he does, yeah, although I'm not sure if he enjoys it a lot, but you might catch him humming a little song or two under his breath! I think Jeremy has a lovely singing voice for sure, as does Machuriel. Matthäus might be the one who sings the least, although I don't think he'd be too bad at it!

Tbh I'm someone to which singing and singing along to songs is such an integral part of life I can't imagine characters who DON'T sing in some capacity. Even if it's only in private, they all sing one way or another :3

Oh that definitely sounds like something Machuriel would do, both read and write it! I think Jeremy enjoys it as well and might try to write poetry at some time, I think he'd enjoy it very much. The other two (Friederick and Matthäus) I don't think are gonna be much into poetry. I can see Matthäus trying to write poetry and/or songs once because he's curious but it's not going to become a "serious" hobby for him.

what are your OCs favourite seasons? and who wears the warmest, softest clothes in winter?

Ohh oh!!! Matthäus favourite season is spring I think, he feels like a spring child, enjoys all the smells of flowers for sure. Friederick likes summer I think, at least when he's on sea (which is almost always) because there's less storms to fight. Jeremy likes just when summer goes over into autumn. (Leaving Machuriel out because while I can justify the other three living in a world that has similar seasons to where I live, Machuriels home planet has probably a whole different thing going on. I think on earth they'd really enjoy spring though.)

Winter Clothing wise they all have different strategies I feel. Friederick is going for lots of layers, equipped with scarf and hat although they don't necessarily have to go together as long as they keep one warm. Jeremy on the other hand is not quite as outdoors-y and I feel like while his winter outfits might look more like a fashionable coat, they might not keep as warm long-term. Matthäus of course has the added benefit of a layer of fur for extra warmth, but at certain temperatures he surely would have to bundle up too! I picture him to be not quite as heavy on layers as Friederick, he might enjoy wool as it'd be great to keep him warm and comfy so that last point might go to him!

Machuriel runs very warm, more so than humans do and even in colder environments they often simply put on a sweater and leave it at that.
