I'm assuming ur talking abt my nyon port town au, need to start tagging those cuz ik my stuff kinda crosses between "falls under a continuity" and "looks like an au" anyway

the AU focuses on flamewar being mentored under kup alongside hot rod who was a previous kup mentee. He's only recently struck out on his own. Reoccurring characters in Nyon are Springer and his couriers: Arcee, Blurr, and Drift who come and go. Other residents in Nyon are Nautica, Perceptor, First Aid, Orion Pax, and sometimes Slipstream.

The world obv extends beyond them, you can assume about every bot is there in some way. I'll get more rambly under the line.

Actually I'm getting kind of lazy at this rate, but just imagine about everyone has a place in this AU I'm just not worried about them since they aren't my main focus or just don't have a gimmick I care enough about to show. Also this AUs just been a fun thing for me to make my favorite characters interact (and I love sea vehicles and I want to make my faves sea vehicles).

i just got a deck of playing cards themed around the original transformers toyline. i thought it might have come out around the same time as the original toys and the cartoon, until i noticed a little watermark that said “(C) Hasbro 2002″, which honestly makes it even weirder. optimus prime’s original boxart is on the back of every card, and the front has a drawing of a different cybertronian’s robot and vehicle mode for each... not a suit, the other thing. like, the number. every 10 has a drawing of Inferno, every 9 has a drawing of Kickback, every Jack has a drawing of Megatron, etc. it seems to be totally random, because Beachcomber of all bots is the Queen, and Long Haul is the King, and Omega Supreme is the Ace. and then Optimus Prime is just the 5. and it’s in the cartoon’s art style somewhat, except they’re all drawn toy-accurately (so Megatron looks really stupid); the exception is Optimus who is basically traced from, again, his original boxart.

i actually already had one. the same one. i got a second deck.

i find it incredibly amusing that two of this strange bit of old TF merch ended up in my possession completely by chance. i found my first one at my grandparents’ house, and then my mom just came in and handed me the second one saying her boyfriend found it among his old possessions and thought i’d like it.
