In 2014, she received a further MA in Japanese Literature from Columbia University in New York, after which she began her PhD in Premodern Japanese Literature at the University of California, Los Angeles in the fall of 2014. Princess Raiyah bint Al Hussein began her schooling in Amman, Jordan, and went on to receive her International Baccalaureate Diploma from the United World College of the Atlantic, Wales. In July 2009, she graduated from Edinburgh University in Scotland with a BA and MA (Honours) in Japanese Studies, including a Distinction in Oral Japanese. As part of her course for the academic year 2007-8, Her Royal Highness was seconded to Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan where she took courses in Japanese, International Relations, and International Peace Studies.

In 2014, Princess Raiyah received a further MA in Japanese Literature from Columbia University in New York. She then began her PhD in Premodern Japanese Literature at the University of California, Los Angeles in the fall of 2014 and is currently a PhD Candidate working towards the completion of her dissertation. She received several fellowships during her time at UCLA as well as an award for Excellence in Teaching in June 2017.

In 1997, King Hussein bestowed the Al-Hussein Medal of Merit of the First Degree (Gold) on Princess Raiyah. In 2006, King Abdullah II awarded Her Royal Highness the Grand Cordon of the Order of Al-Nahda.

On the 26th December 2006, the Cabinet issued a directive for Princess Raiyah to be appointed as a Diplomatic Attaché with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2011 she was promoted to the rank of Third Secretary, in 2014 to the rank of Second Secretary, and in 2017 to the rank of First Secretary.

In July of 2007, the Jordanian National Center for Culture and Arts, under the patronage of Princess Raiyah, participated in the Okinawa International Festival for Young Audiences– the first time an Arab organization was represented at the Festival. Princess Raiyah held a press conference and gave several speeches in Japanese in order to help promote the event and Jordan’s participation in it.

Princess Raiyah has accompanied King Abdullah II on working trips to Japan in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2010. She also accompanied His Majesty on a working visit to South Korea in 2008.

From 2010 to 2011 Princess Raiyah served as volunteer translator for the NGO Hunger Free World. From 2011 to 2012, she worked in the Middle East Department of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), where she assisted with projects related to Jordan, and the larger region, and also participated in various workshops held by JICA on subjects including eco-tourism, mother and child health, and barrier-free tourism. She also met with victims of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami as well as with various NGOs active in its reconstruction and gave presentations on Jordan at various middle and elementary schools in Tokyo and Tohoku.

Princess Raiyah has been a Story Consultant for the Lucasfilm Brain Trust since January 2019.

Her Royal Highness enjoys reading, martial arts, water sports, snowboarding, volleyball, and writing and has won several prizes for horseback riding.

Princess Raiyah is fluent in Arabic, English, and Japanese. She also reads Classical and Medieval Japanese as well as Classical and Modern Chinese.

21 août 2017 - Au fil des chutes d’eau

Froid. Voilà le souvenir de cette première nuit en bivouac. Je me dis d’abord que c’est dû à l’ « acclimatation ». Mais quand, en sortant de la tente, j’apprends qu’une bouteille d’eau restée dehors a gelé, je me dis qu’en fait, les températures ont dû descendre bien bas…

Petit déjeuner à la fraîche ! La bonne nouvelle, c’est que le soleil est de retour et qu’il brille. Nous reprenons la route et continuons à longer le canyon de la Jökulsá á Fjöllum.

Objectif du jour : Dettifoss ! Sur la route, nous croiserons plusieurs chutes d’eau et cascades, de différentes tailles, parfois accompagnées d’un arc-en-ciel.

Nous faisons aussi plusieurs arrêts ou petits détours, pour aller voir les « centres d’intérêts » signalés sur la carte. 

Comme Karl og Kerling…

… ou Réttardbjarg, où nous ferons notre pause déjeuner. 

Une longue pause sous le soleil, à déguster un excellent gruyère suisse et à disserter sur la similitude du fromage helvète avec le comté français.

L’endroit est superbe : plusieurs petites cascades se jettent dans la rivière et celle-ci serpente entre les orgues basaltiques. Nous laissons nos sacs un instant pour faire le tour des lieux et aller admirer le spectacle de plus près.

Nous reprenons la route. Il nous reste peu de distance à parcourir. Petit à petit, le terrain devient plus minéral.

Arrivés à l’entrée de Hafragil, nous hésitons à prendre le passage plus escarpé, mais certainement plus intéressant, qui longe la rivière. Il y a 6 ans, j’avais préféré rester prudente car je voyageais seule. Cette fois, j’avoue que j’ai très envie de descendre… Après échange et délibération, nous décidons de rester sur le plateau pour rejoindre Dettifoss et de revenir demain matin pour aller explorer ce passage. Notre bus pour Mývatn n’est qu’à 13h, cela nous permettra d’occuper notre temps libre. Gros avantage : nous serons plus « frais » et surtout, nous pourrons laisser nos gros sacs au campement.

L’autre avantage de rester sur le plateau, c’est que nous pouvons admirer les gorges d’Hafragil. Très minérales, à l’ombre à cette heure de journée, il règne comme une petite ambiance “genèse du monde”.

 Peu après, nous arrivons à l’aire de bivouac de Dettifoss. Quelques tentes sont déjà plantées, dont celle d’un gallois qui nous demande quelques infos sur le trajet que l’on vient de faire.

Je vais jeter un œil au parking de Dettifoss juste à coté : il a doublé de volume depuis ma dernière visite et un parking « bus » a vu le jour. Une nouvelle preuve de l’incroyable explosion du tourisme en Islande. Le plus surprenant, c’est la plage horaire de fréquentation : il y a des voitures et des visiteurs jusque très tard le soir ! Les gens semblent profiter à fond des longues journées.

Pour nous, la soirée ne s’éternisera pas : demain, réveil tôt pour retourner à Hafragil et faire un aller-retour en prenant le passage au bord de la rivière.

Akademik Amaçlar & IELTS Hazırlığı için 10 saat İngilizce

6 saat Toplantı ve Seminer Becerileri veya İngilizce Konuşma Becerileri

5 saat Eğitim Becerisi

4 saat Durum çalışması

Eğer Pre-Master’ a başlama nedeniniz; İngilizce skorunuzun düşüklüğü ise IELTS , eğer not ortalamanız düşük ise not ortalamanızı yükseltmek için GMAT almanızı sağlamaktadır. Kısacası Pre-Master Programı ihtiyacınız olan becerinizi geliştirmeyi amaçlar.

Pre-Master Programlarına katılabilmenin temel şartları;

21 yaşında veya daha büyükseniz,

Üniversite Diploma notunuz düşükse veya IELTS Skorunuz yetersiz se,

MBA, İşletme, Hukuk veya Eczacılık alanında Master yapmayı istiyorsanız.
