Within Your Heart, A Story To Be Told
Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four, Part Five
Pairing: Cardinal Copia/F!Reader
Words: 4.5K/16.4K
Warnings: Vague reference to suicide, but no such act occurs. Intense bullying both verbal and physical. Reader is a Sister of Sin and is written to be quite plump. Lots of swearing, both in English and Italian.

A/N: I’m keeping Primo, Secondo, and Terzo alive. Because I fucking can. However, Sister Imperator is still the only one aware of Copia’s familial connection. Copia knows Imperator is his birth mother, but not that Nihil is his father.
Everything takes place circa 2018-2019 between Terzo getting dragged off-stage (30 September 2017) and Copia being anointed as Papa IV (March 2020).
Tucked away in a short hallway that only led to a janitor’s closet, hiding among discarded crates of merchandise, you struggled to breathe without sobbing. It was not the first time you’d had to utilize this barely frequented hiding spot. You’d been with the Ministry for nearly five years; yet you still remained unable to find your place. It seemed to be a lifelong fault of yours; never fitting in.
Your earliest memory was of being picked last for recess sports in elementary school; of stern-faced priests telling you to stop crying, stop being so sensitive. Boys will be boys and boys like to pick on their classmates. Maybe if you didn’t present such an irresistible target, they’d leave you alone. Always turning a blind eye to your skinned knees and bruised arms.
Middle school was no better. In fact, it was worse. Now, the girls got in on the bullying too. They mocked your chosen hobbies; reading, drawing, singing. The one time you got a solo in the school choir for a special Mass for some important visiting Cardinal, they made farting and oinking noises behind you, whispering and laughing just low enough that the Sister didn’t hear them. You’d faltered in your singing, trying desperately not to cry, your cheeks flaming red. You had worked so hard on this part! It was your favorite hymn! Sister had yelled at you and berated you for not practicing enough on your own. In the end, she took the solo away from you and gave it to another girl who wasn’t as good a singer as you were but was vastly more popular.
And high school? High school was pure torture. Everything that sucked about middle school, but now with hormones and heartache mixed in for a toxic cocktail. Other students now sought to humiliate you by dangling a mirage of hope. Some bold joker would sidle up to you to say something along the lines of: “Hey, my friend over there thinks you’re super cute. You should ask him out.” And naturally, naively you did, hoping against hope that said boy was telling the truth.
Said boy never was.
University life hadn’t treated you much better, although the overt bullying ceased. You tried to keep a low profile. Went to social events even though you were an anxious wreck the whole time; house parties that your exasperated roommates might drag you on, street festivals for arts and crafts by local artisans, concerts in crowded and often smoky clubs.
It was at one such concert that you first saw the band Ghost and had something of an epiphany. If the so-called “good” people were so horrible to you; then maybe the so-called “evil” people would treat you nicely. Twelve years of Catholic school with its mean nuns and creepy priests had soiled much of your interest in faith. You hadn’t been to Mass since graduating from Saint Hubert’s. Not even for Christmas or Easter. When you’d flat out refused to attend a Catholic university, your family had all but disowned you. And sadly, that changed very little for you. They’d never been much interested in you.
Then Ghost had returned to your city, now as their own headliner instead of an opening act. You’d ponied up the money for general admission tickets to the Haze Over North America tour even though the idea of being jostled around by a bunch of sweaty strangers made you feel nauseous. You’d queued up before anyone else even got there. You’d even caught sight of the band and roadies arriving, although you wisely did NOT rush over to them even though you really wanted to. You very briefly caught sight of Papa (still Secondo at that time!) in his full robes heading from a black SUV into the side of the venue.
You’d been all but clinging to the stage, watching them and, more importantly, listening. Secondo liked playing to the pit, often making eye contact with various individuals. He had a reputation of being something of a man whore and you could see where that idea had come from. Despite his papal robes and miter (or maybe because of it?), he exuded a dark and very tempting sexuality. Still, he didn’t see you, his mismatched gaze always seemed to go to someone just to your left or right.
Then came the encore, Monstrance Clock. The quieter instrumentals reminded you of that long ago choir that you had loved so much. You had closed your eyes to take it all in, your heart feeling as though it was expanding to press against your ribs, a shuddery sensation going through you. You were a virgin, yes. But you knew what an orgasm was; and although not quite the same, this feeling was very similar. Distantly, you remembered that many paintings and sculptures depicting a spiritual awakening often called them an “ecstasy”.
Hypnotizing horns of ram Paralyzing pentagram And the eerie sound of the monstrance clock Singing
Come together Together as one Come together For Lucifer's son
You then felt as though you were falling, but you weren’t scared at all. The sensation of a dark and heated cloak being draped gently over your shoulders, wrapping you in warmth and safety, made you feel completely protected and loved. It was a feeling you had searched for all of your life and never expected to find at a metal concert! When you finally opened your eyes, Papa was kneeling on the stage right in front of you with his eyes boring into yours. And despite his very stern and somewhat scary expression, you weren’t afraid. He’d narrowed his eyes briefly then nodded at you, claiming one of your hands and brushing his lips over your knuckles. When he rose to his feet, he looked to one of his ghouls and jerked his head in your direction.
When you’d stayed put long after everyone had left the pit, that same ghoul had darted out to you, explaining that Papa wanted to see you. To say you’d been surprised was an understatement. Backstage, Secondo had already removed his skull paint, although the absence did not lessen his presence. Under the watchful gaze of the Nameless Ghouls, he explained the Ghost Project and the Ministry. As Papa, he had a few subtle quirks that sometimes helped him find those who would be excellent additions to the faith.
And apparently Satan had singled you out. During Monstrance Clock, when you’d been so overwhelmed by the music; that had been something of a test. A test to see how you reacted to His Light, His Presence. A test you passed with flying colors by not panicking or blaming the feeling on some physical malady caused by the festival environment, by accepting the warmth of the Father of Outcasts.
Did you want to join their faith? You would be sheltered and cared for. You would be protected. You would have a job for which you would be paid. You would take classes to further your knowledge. And, oddly enough, your Catholic upbringing would prove to be an advantage. You already understood the ritual and hierarchy and language. You knew enough Latin to easily understand what the prayers meant. You understood nebulous concepts like transubstantiation and substance–attribute theory.
You’d agreed with almost no hesitation.
Everything after that was a blur. You’d packed up your few belongings and quickly been instated as a postulate in the New York ministry. You’d had very high hopes after being lauded for your intelligence and organization skills. You were set up as an assistant in the library, which also gave you plenty of time to study up even more on this new path you found yourself on. As such, for the first few months, you mostly kept to yourself, your hyper-fixation on learning temporarily replacing the bleeding need for companions. When you did try to make friends, swallowing down your fear as best you could, things did not go as planned. Attempts at jokes only got you blank looks. Trying to join in on conversations or activities only seemed to make others around you uncomfortable.
After two years, it was decided that you didn’t fit in at the New York ministry. And while they weren’t kicking you out, they thought you might do better in a different location. One year in Los Angeles later, it was decided you didn’t fit in there either. So, you’d been moved again, this time to the main Ministry in Sweden.
Two years into your life here and you were still longing for that feeling of belonging that you’d experienced for a scant few moments at the festival while Secondo had sung. Secondo had “retired” and it was Terzo’s turn under the miter. He was wildly successful; more personable with audiences than Primo or Secondo, more confident and charismatic. You’d never spoken to him directly. The handful of times you’d made eye contact (during Black Mass or on-site rehearsals) he had smiled and winked at you. But you knew full-well that he did that to everyone. It was a band-aid over a slit wrist, but it was better than nothing.
Abruptly, that had all changed too and now there was no Papa, but a Cardinal was “filling in” while he was also schooled in being the new Papa. You’d only seen him a few times, his red cassock drawing attention amongst all of the black and white of the habits you and your Siblings of Sin wore. He always seemed to be off in his own world, muttering to himself in Italian, probably going over prayers or sermons. Most people thought he was a tad weird. You, however, found him a bit fascinating.
Most of the other Siblings fawned over Terzo, which you could hardly blame them for. He was incredibly popular. Cardinal Copia, though? Something about him struck you with warmth whenever you did catch sight of him or overheard him at rehearsals with the band. You found him very handsome in an off-beat kind of way. Whenever he led Mass, you were more attentive than you ever were for any of the previous Papas. Something about him just called to you.
Whatever that something was, it was obviously one-sided. The Cardinal had never so much as glanced in your direction.
You were still working as a librarian, but no longer an assistant. You were the scribe of the ancient texts; carefully going through delicate parchment of dense Latin and digitizing them so they would never be lost. Being one of the younger members in the Ministry scholary, your grasp of technology was far and away better than that of the other librarians.
You didn’t know what you’d done to draw attention to yourself; but less than a month into your time in Sweden, you were re-living junior high school. A trio of your fellow Siblings; Kaser, Lynx, and Cantata, had decided that you were a fun target to torment; with plenty of ammo at their disposal. You were still awkward and anxious. You’d developed something of a nervous stutter and struggled more than ever to put your thoughts into words. Worse, your body had decided that freshman fifteen was meant to be a challenge; as you had gained thirty pounds, so you were much chubbier than most of the others; wide hips, a sizable ass, a rounded belly, and tits that refused to be contained by most bras. Like the long-ago middle school boys, they liked to painfully snap your bra strap. Or they would trip you in the hallways. Shove you into walls. Tug off your veil when they knew Sister Imperator was near so that she would scold you for having it off.
Their favorite thing, however, was to harass you about the fact that you’d been a postulate for five fucking years! Most postulates became novices within a year and then a full Sibling at three. Were you too stupid to pass the exams? Were you such a loser that even Satan didn’t want you? Were you afraid that Papa would turn you down?
That last one was closer to home than they knew. Part of a postulate’s “graduation” into a novice was to have sex with Papa; sometimes in private, sometimes on the altar in front of everyone. You simply couldn’t stand the idea of any of the Papas taking one look at you and deciding that he was not going to put his cock in someone as pathetic as you. It had never happened before to your knowledge (and you’d looked it up!) so there was no reason to fear such a thing. But fears are nothing if not irrational.
All of which led to your current predicament, sitting on a crate of Ghost merchandise near a janitor’s closet, hiding from your triad of bullies behind a double-stack of the same crates. If the closet hadn’t been locked, you’d have been in it. You sputtered and coughed, choking on your own tears. Were you always going to be so painfully lonely? You prayed as hard now as you ever had as a Catholic… and, like God, Satan was now frustratingly silent. Perhaps it was just time to accept that you didn’t fit in anywhere and never would. Maybe you’d ask to transfer to another Ministry just to escape your abusers; but you’d stay with the church since at least your work was satisfying.
Footsteps approached, prompting you to cover your mouth to silence yourself, not wanting another round of abuse if it was Kaser, Lynx, or Cantata. You curled yourself into the tightest ball you could, cursing your extra weight for making that very difficult.
“Eh, hello?” a soft voice, lightly accented in Italian. Oh, fuck… had they lied to Sister that you’d done something wrong to get you in trouble? They’d done it before; blaming you for something they’d done. Fucking hells bells, what had they done that would prompt one of the elder Italians (of which, there were many) be addressing you?
“I’m sorry!” you burst out, covering your face with your hands. “I was just, um… j-j-j-just… ah, taking a… m-m-moment-.“ Curse that idiotic stutter!
“No! N-n-n-no, sorella. It’s… ah… okay. I only… I mean I just was passing and I h-h-heard you.”
The foreign sound of someone else stuttering made you look through your fingers. At first, all you saw was red. A long, red cassock and black gloves.
The Cardinal.
You were so shocked by the revelation that the man who would soon be Papa was apparently a bit anxious and awkward too, that you didn’t say anything for a moment. You merely stared at him, your cheeks still stained with tears, but at least you were now breathing somewhat normally.
“You’ve been c-crying,” he pointed out as if it wasn’t obvious.
“It’s… it’s nothing, Your Eminence,” you shook your head, finally remembering your manners and lowering your gaze, wiping hurriedly at your cheeks. “You needn’t worry about it. You must have many more important things to do!”
A long silence followed, both of you seeming to size the other up with caution. Strange, he was so confident and eloquent when he performed Mass or gave sermons. And now he seemed genuinely lost as to how to talk to someone one on one.
“C-congratulations, by the way!” you finally blurt out. “If… if that’s the proper thing to say. I’m sure you’ll make a wonderful Papa. I’ve overheard some of the rehearsals and you sound amazing.”
That was at least true. The Cardinal had a beautiful singing voice and a powerful stage presence.
“Oh! Eh, grazie… thank you. It’s a great honor,” he smiled slightly, his black upper lip curling up at the corners in a way you found immediately endearing. “Not to be, eh, too forward, b-b-b-but… what has so upset you?”
“It’s… it’s nothing. It’s stupid. I just… I feel like… I don’t really…” you paused, closed your eyes, and took a deep breath. “I’ve never really fit in anywhere…and even though I’m trying so hard… I don’t seem to fit in here either. Square peg, round hole.” Woah, that was the most pulled-together thing you’d said in months!
You silently prepared yourself to be told to try harder, not be so sensitive, don’t be so weird, or some other variation of unhelpful advice that authority figures always tossed at your feet.
“Sì, it’s very difficult. I understand.”
You snapped your eyes open to meet his uneven gaze head-on.
He continued, “Some people just seem to effortlessly be adored and others… others must work tirelessly to be accepted by even a few.” He sounded contemplative, even a touch sad. “It… it can be overwhelming, I know.”
“Are you saying that… you’ve had t-trouble fitting in? But you’re terrific on stage and at Mass! In fact, every time I’ve heard you talk, you’re always so sure of yourself!” you exclaimed.
He gave an ironic smile. “It helps, sorella, to have a sc-script. At the microphone, I already know what I’m going to say or s-s-sing. I don’t have to anticipate the questions or comments of others because I’m the only one expected to t-talk, sì?”
“Oh,” you said with a note of surprise. You’d never really thought of it that way. “I’ve not really ever spoken to an audience. Or sung. Not by myself anyway.”
“You sing, sorella?” he perked up, the motion making something warm slide over your heart.
“Yeah, yes. I mean… I used to. I sang in choir all through school and I was in the Mass choir in Los Angeles. I’d like to join the choir here, but they aren’t accepting new singers right now,” you shrugged, biting your bottom lip.
“The choir at the L.A. ministry?” his eyebrows rose. “You must be talented then, sorella. The choirmaster there is very exacting.”
You smiled, despite knowing that your cheeks were flaming red. That had been one bright point of the last few years. The confirmation that you did still have a good singing voice had meant a great deal to you. “He is. The rehearsals were grueling sometimes, but I loved it just the same. Music is just so… powerful. I can’t think of a better word. Even ‘powerful’ feels inadequate. It’s what brought me to the Ministry in the first place. I saw Papa Secondo during the Haze tour and, I don’t know… something just clicked in place.”
“Papa Secondo, eh? Small wonder, he was quite the commanding presence when he was Papa. Still is, actually. But, wait…” he paused, looking up and muttering in Italian. “Papa Secondo hasn’t been Papa since, what 2013? That was five years ago. You’ve been a postulate for that long?”
Motherfucking Christ on a popsicle stick, why did you have to mention Secondo?
“Um… yeah. It’s just… never felt like… the timing was right. And… if I’m honest, I’m scared,” you swallowed tightly.
“Scared?” he repeated with a cock of his head. “What is there to be scared of?”
“If I may speak plainly… it’s the whole… um… sex thing..?” Your words came out more like a question than an answer.
“You’re scared of… sex?” he said, seeming to only want to confirm that he had heard you correctly.
“Not exactly. I’m not afraid of the act. B-b-but I’m afraid of… it’s-s-s-s-stupid of me, I know… but I can’t help but be sc-sc-scared of being… rejected…” you managed to strangle out, eyes glued to your hands folded in your lap. “No one’s ever wanted me before. Why would this b-b-b-be any different?”
“Sorella, it’s not stupid. Fears like that are very… d-difficult to shake. However, being as currently said deed would fall to m-me, I can promise you that I will not be rejecting such a lovely soul.” His voice had gone a little lower and he drew closer to you, kneeling down so you were at an even level, although you didn’t look up at him.
A black leather glove obscured your view, curled fingers tucking up your chin, coaxing you gently into looking up at him. “Sorella, I promise it. I would be more than honored to help you complete your… eh… training, if that is the word.”
You chanced looking up and meeting his gaze. Even at a distance, it was obvious that the Papas and Cardinal all had one ghostly white eye. But this close, you could see that his other eye was a rather pretty shade of green. You’d always liked green eyes.
Apparently, your momentary contemplation of his eyes made him a little nervous, because he looked down, cheeks slightly flushed. “I-if-if you like, of course… I’m not… I mean… eh, Sathanas, no pressure? Is that the, eh, the phrase? If you don’t want to have me as your initiator, it’s eh… it’s o-o-o-okay. One of the other Papas would be happy to serve in my place. I know most people seem to like T-T-Terzo the best. And if I know him, he would never turn down an initiate,” he rambled slightly.
Under any other circumstances, you would have assumed that he was agreeing to make you feel better and then trying to pass you off to one of the former Papas to get out of the chore. But something about the Cardinal’s anxious patter convinced you that he was only trying to give you options, not avoid the task.
Completely on impulse, you clutched at his nervous hands, holding them still. This also served the purpose of stilling your own hands. “You don’t need to advertise the others to me. It will be you, Cardinal.”
He looked up from your joined hands with a half-smile. “It will, eh? Does that mean you’ve decided to go through with becoming a novice, sorella?”
Your breath stopped. You had just implied that hadn’t you? Shit. Shitshitshitshit! “I guess it does, Your Eminence.”
“Bene, sorella. I look forward to it,” he smiled, though his gaze returned to your hands. A small shift and he was able to press your hands into his, palm to palm, with your fingers entwined. The motion reminded you of something…
-Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much, Which mannerly devotion shows in this; For saints have hands that pilgrims’ hands do touch, And palm to palm is holy palmers’ kiss.
The Cardinal chuckled softly under his breath, a rather deep sound that gave you delightful goosebumps. “Shakespeare, sì? Hmm, let me think…”
Fuck! Had you said that out loud? You must have! Random Shakespeare was not going to get you anywhere and of course you’d choose a passage rife with Catholic imagery.
- Have not saints lips, and holy palmers too?
Holy shit on a shingle, he was reciting Romeo’s part now? Oh Satan. Lucifer. Lilith. Hecate. Kelly Clarkson! What was the next bit?
-Ay, pilgrim, lips that they must use in prayer.
-O then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do. They pray: grant thou, lest faith turn to despair.
-Saints do not move, though grant for prayers’ sake.
-Then move not while my prayer’s effect I take.
You’d both been leaning closer to each other and now were barely a breath away. You licked your lips nervously. That small gesture apparently spurned him on. He completed the connection, kissing you so sweetly that you thought you might actually pass out. You’d been kissed before; but those previous kisses felt nothing like this! Your lips felt as though they were burning, the familiar heat of arousal curling low in your belly.
-Thus from my lips, by thine, my sin is purged.
How could he even remember the next line after that! It took you a decent minute and a half to recover your thoughts and remember the next line.
-Then have my lips the sin that they have took?
He smiled, nearly grinned, teeth very white against his black upper lip.
-Sin from my lips? O trespass sweetly urged! Give me my sin again.
You were ready this time, meeting his kiss with one of your own, tenderly mapping the sensation of his lips and the searing path of want as it spread in your veins. Fuck, you already had a little crush on Copia; this would inevitably push it into full-blown infatuation.
-You kiss by th’ book.
You practically moaned that last line as you both paused, foreheads pressed together, hands still palm to palm. He was panting ever so slightly, as were you.
“You understand what I mean about having a script, sì?” he whispered softly. “Neither of us stumbled or hesitated even once. Not what you were thinking when you began reciting, I know. But, for myself at least… I would not yet have had the nerve to kiss you. But with the Bard’s words to encourage… it felt very natural to kiss you.”
You felt your cheeks grow hot, although for once it was not from humiliation or shame, but from pleased embarrassment. The way he was looking at you! No man… hell, no person or ghoul or whatever… had ever looked at you the way Copia was looking at you. There was a hunger in his eyes that made your stomach do flips. But under that desire lurked a sweet, longing kind of affection.
A beeping noise interrupted your thoughts. “Cazzo!” he hissed and pushed back the sleeve of his cassock to reveal an old digital watch. “Perdonami per favore; I seem to be running late for rehearsal. Had I the choice, I would not be leaving you so… eh… abruptly,” he apologized with sincere regret.
“It’s OK,” you replied somewhat dreamily, still feeling a bit floaty from his kisses.
“I will look for your… ehm… initiation papers and authorize them. Then you n-n-nneed only set the date,” he assured you as he rose to his full height. “I must go, sorella.”
“Oh! Yes! Right. Don’t let me keep you. Rehearsal’s important,” you nodded hastily, not wanting to come across as needy even though you wanted to bury yourself in his chest and cling to him like a koala.
“It is, si,” he allowed, before looking down on you with a fond expression. “But you are important too, no?”
He turned to leave and was almost around the corner before he stopped and turned back to you. “Eh, mi scuzi, but… I didn’t get your name, sorella.”
“Huh? Oh! It’s Y/N, F/N L/N,” you replied perhaps a bit louder than you should have.
“Y/N… lovely,” he echoed with a small smile. “Arrivederci, Y/N.”
What? Just? Happened?

This isn't quite robotification, but it isn't *not* that either? Cyborgs are complicated. This is an interesting combination of two different flavors of programming-based mind control, and the way they intersect and one wins out over the other is a good story, but it doesn't do anything for me at all heat-wise. But if you like that sort of thing and sci-fi settings, this one's likely to be a good one for you. 5/10 spirals

I love reistance play, but the public nature of so much of this is not to my preference. The same basic scene between Ella and Mikayla in a private office rather than a restaurant? I'd personally enjoy it much more. Still, the sense of the absolute loss of control here, even as she thinks she's trying to resist so firmly. It's a lovely sort of internal dialogue, and an eventual admission of surrender, and I love that part quite a lot. 8/10 spirals

Oh, this is *clever* and I like it. It's a different twist on something one of my girlfriends does sometimes - "when did you slip into trance" (or some varient thereof). But they're both getting at the same thing, the sense that someone could be anticipating it so much they never notice the change in state between anticipation and trance. This whole scene is lovely and hot and oh the clear sense of rapport and understanding between these two is absolutely perfect. 10/10 spirals

Cholula is my personal favourite hot sauce, so that specificity made me smile! (it does make anything savory in a tortilla taste better). I have to say, I'm impressed by Ximena's ability to listen to a lecture while also listening to brainwashing. I personally would find that *exhausting* - but then, I've never managed being unaware of someone speaking to me unless I was really deep in trance, so it might be easier for Ximena than for me. I like her Lady (and I love the honorific choice!) and her focus on safety and fulfillment while also focusing on the hot brainwashing stuff. This story feels like a slightly-improbable version of something that could happen, and that makes it better for me. 10/10 spirals

There's a lot of things I like in this story. I really, *really* want to like it. The vast majority of what's in it is right up my alley, but the framing of Jeremy just ... becomes a complete turn off for me specifically. I'm also in a super sappy/romantic mood today, which isn't helping with that. That said, if I ignore the framing of Jeremy at the beginning, this hits on slow, subtle changes in perspective that get rationalized away by the person slipping inevitably into trance, being brainwashed into obedience, and that's *good.* 8/10 spirals

This is a clever induction, with a clever metaphor that builds in a reinduction tactic. The techinques shown here are solid, but for me, having it written rather than spoken makes it less effective than it could be, and I feel like I'm not quite the target audience for this script. Still, this is definitely a good script to study for folk who are still learning. 10/10 spirals on technique alone.

This story is a sequel to "The Joker" - from 2011, almost 250 stories ago! - and brings back Jo, Chantelle, and Madam Columbina. It makes me wonder just how it would feel to be caught by a hypnotist skilled in sleight of hand, who attaches triggers to cards and makes the ones she wants to appear when and how she chooses. Though I'd want a much more private demonstration; I'm not really much of an exhibitionist. Still, it's a lovely story, and I'm glad that Jo and Chantelle are so clearly happy with each other and Madam Columbina's control. It's a bit too much of a voyeuristic story for my personal preferences, but that's my only quibble 9/10 spirals

Huh, this one is ... it doesn't really feel like mind control as I think of it? I can see why it is, but ... it just misses the elements I like. It comes off as just a nerd getting inside someone's head and playing on internalized homophobia (or, more likely, biphobia) to get him to agree. If you like more subtle persuasion as control, though, you'll likely enjoy this one? 6/10 spirals
Vertigo

Sometimes, Jukebox paints a picture maybe a bit too well. This is one of those times. I don't *get* dizzy. I don't get vertigo. The descriptions in this story made me feel *both.* Which is fine, it passed quickly enough, and maybe some of that's because "Habit" got to me a little and I'm reading these in a block of a few, but either way, If you're prone to kinesthetic hallucination, maybe tread with caution on this one. (Or just have something firm and solid you can rest against that will ground you; it worked for me!) The setup on this story is solid, the trap she's in exceedingly well. I just wish there was a bit more payoff to it, a bit more sense of *why* whoever has her in this predicament put her in it to begin with. 8/10 spirals
Uh Huh

Oh GOSH this story is so sweet and tender and cute but also hot and just ... it reminds me of some of my own "firsts", in a parallel but not really exact mirror sort of way. My reasons for being hesitant were different, of course, but I had some of those same hesitations and was lucky to have a partner who took just as much gentle care, if in a different way .... *anyway,* enough projecting my own memories on this story. This story is just *wholesome* and if you like sweet, romantic hypnokinky stories, this is absolutely one to read. It's also trans-positive (affirming? I want to say affirming, but I'm not sure, not being trans myself) and just it's good, y'all. 10/10 spirals

Extravaganja, A Celebration Of All Things Cannabis, Is Coming To Franklin County
Extravaganja, A Celebration Of All Things Cannabis, Is Coming To Franklin County | Chowdaheadz
Greenfield, Massachusetts is located in Franklin County's northwestern-most and least populous county. That will all change come April — for one day at least.
The 2020 Extravaganja Fest, a celebration of all things cannabis, will be held at the Franklin County Fairgrounds on Sunday, April 19 from noon to 8 p.m.
The event is always held on the weekend closest to April 20 — a nod to the number 420 (or 4:20) which is closely associated with marijuana in pop culture.
Not only is this the first year that all cannabis is legal in MA, the 2020 Extravanganja celebration also comes with free admission, a welcome change from the $5 per person charge when the festival was held in Northampton.
The event is organized by the Cannabis Reform Coalition who expect a more open, relaxed celebration this year.
The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission has approved 14 licenses for marijuana businesses in Franklin County alone and more than 80 recreational marijuana shops statewide. With sales over $470 million since November 2018, business is booming!
Now in its 29th year, Extravaganja expects as many as 6,000 to 10,000 visitors if the weather is good. The 29th annual event will feature food, live music, arts and crafts, displays of marijuana products as well as CBD and hemp, political discussions related to marijuana law, and open use of marijuana products.
Learn more about the upcoming event at the official website.
All activities at this political rally are done in the name of Civil Disobedience, and by attending you are in no way exempted from the law. By attending this event, you consent to being filmed, recorded or photographed.

As a growing country, India is now slowly and gradually growing in the field of education. And here mentioned are some important details and information on UGC Approved Online Courses in India.
UGC Online Degree Courses Introduction
From the recent act of UGC, the committee has taken out the recent and approved list of Online degree courses available in India. Under the University Grants Commission (Online Courses or Programmes) Regulations, 2018, the UGC approved online degree programs in May 2018. With the help of this historic ruling, higher education institutions (HEIs) are now able to provide degrees and other programs entirely online, in addition to other online courses and certificates. Six institutions were able to start offering UGC online degree programs beginning with the 2021 academic year by January 2020. The list of online degree programs that have been approved by the UGC is presented below.
UGC Online Degree Courses Admission Process
Requesting online learning Applying for an on-campus program or UGC Approved Online Courses is not all that different from applying for a bachelor's degree, master's degree, or short course. You will perform the same actions and offer related paperwork.
However, one major benefit of online degrees is that there is no deadline and that you can apply whenever you choose. Additionally, compared to on-campus degrees, application standards for online programs are typically more lenient.
There are frequently no selection criteria that emphasize excellence. Additionally, you can enroll in open universities regardless of your academic background. What a cool thing!
Here are the basic 4 steps you should keep in mind before enrolling in UGC Approved courses.
Step 1: Choose the colleges and programs you wish to apply
You are an intelligent student, and you are aware that you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket. Make a list of the three or more online programs and colleges you wish to apply to in order to improve your chances of being admitted.
Step 2: Verify the application deadlines
A distance learning master's program may have four or five submission deadlines per academic year, compared to the typical two admission sessions per year (if not only one!) for a regular master's program.
You can even enroll at any time of the year for some programs! Naturally, this improves your chances of acceptance and opens up the application process.
Step 3: Complete the online application
Fill out an online application form, which most likely requires you to create an account with some personal data. Additionally, the electronic versions of the following files must be uploaded:
Documents Required
Academic resume
A photocopied passport
Copies of your prior credentials and academic transcripts
Recommendations (from former academics or employers or both) (from former professors or employers or both)
Any additional documentation relevant to the academic program you've chosen or your chosen educational level
Step 4: Now you can simply check in the enrollment procedure and get done with your Online Degree course Admission.

Hi Liv! How is life treating you? Well, I hope.
I was mindlessly scrolling through fics and reccs but nothing seemed to hit the spot when I realised, right now I’m probably craving stories where Harry and Draco are so in love with each other that rather than an admission of it, you can see it in their actions.
Like every little thing they do just has such well intentions behind it, and it can have any kind of vibe to it, ranging from nobody else except this person matters to just simple I love you and would do anything for you.
I absolutely love the buildup from hate to love but as of now, it’s the more of being in love/ liking the other person and that sort of intensifying kinda vibe I’m looking for.
Please please help me, if you have any such reccs. Thank you so much.
Hi anon! I’m okay, just a bit tired after two very busy weeks at work 😩 what about you? I think I know what you mean, something like friends to lovers with domesticity and gentle pining where all their friends already think they’re together? :) I hope these work!

Draco's a father, Harry's in love with him, and it's really hard to take things slow.

All who know them are convinced that Harry and Draco are a couple. But that's just ridiculous.

Harry is up to something. Why else would he keep giving Draco presents?
Life goes not backward by @shealwaysreads (2020, T, 9k)
Harry still isn’t used to gifts, but this one is different. A story of coming home, finding safe ground, and the wild courage of putting down roots.
A Song, Incomplete by RurouniHime (2013, E, 11k)
Draco’s photograph took up the entire top half of the Prophet’s front page. Below the photo: DRACO MALFOY DEFENDS SON OF FORMER LOVER. As if that were breaking news.

Harry had accepted that he would pine silently for Malfoy forever, but one, humid summer might change that.
Countdown by dysonrules (2013, M, 14k)
When the Wizarding world is plagued by random outbreaks of Dark Magic, the Ministry assigns Curse-Breakers to assist Auror teams on their missions. Harry shouldn't be surprised when Draco Malfoy is assigned to his team, but is Malfoy a Curse-Breaker, or a curse-bringer?
Take the Moon by MA (2022, M, 15k)
Harry Potter has always wanted a family of his own, and when a deadly blood curse forces him into a marriage bond with his best friend Draco Malfoy, it looks like he might just have found one. Living with Draco (biscuit-lover, no work/life balance, good hair) and his son Scorpius (also biscuit-lover, colour-codes his bricks, proud bearer of plastic swan-shaped garden ornament) gives Harry the routine and companionship he’s always craved. There’s also the matter of the really great sex (because what’s a marriage of convenience without a little fun, after all?)
Another Heart Whispers Back by @slytherco (2020, E, 53k)
At twenty-five, Harry Potter is still a virgin and sorely lacking in options to change that state anytime soon. To help him find a plus one for Ron and Hermione’s wedding, and maybe kill two birds with one stone, Harry’s friends set him up on a series of blind dates. The only problem is, there’s something not quite right with each of their candidates.

Analysis: White guilt, apologies and why Hollywood is a cauldron of race issues at the moment
New Post has been published on https://appradab.com/analysis-white-guilt-apologies-and-why-hollywood-is-a-cauldron-of-race-issues-at-the-moment/
Analysis: White guilt, apologies and why Hollywood is a cauldron of race issues at the moment
Despite complaints about “cancel culture” and racist insistence that people who talk about these important issues are “playing the race card,” Hollywood can’t seem to get away from conversations about race and diversity.
And while hopefully those discussions can lead to progress, lately they have led to controversy for some.
Osbourne said she didn’t necessarily agree with Morgan’s comments, but defended his right to make them. She herself was accused of being less than respectful when she berated Underwood for appearing to get emotional and insisted that if anyone should be crying over the conversation, it should be Osbourne herself.
Her perceived “victimhood” not only didn’t go over well, but the incident led to both an apology from Osbourne and an investigation by CBS into happenings on the set of “The Talk.”
Chris Harrison: “The Bachelor” franchise and its issues with race have long been discussed.
From its lack of diversity to last year’s outrage over “Bachelorette” star Hannah Brown using a racial epithet while jamming to a song, it’s safe to say the reality show has generated some headlines on matters of race.
But things came to a head this season after the casting of the first Black “Bachelor,” Matt James.
Longtime franchise host Chris Harrison has had to step aside from his duties after controversial comments he made during an interview with Rachel Lindsay, the first Black “Bachelorette,” who has been working for the TV show “Extra.”
During the chat, Harrison appeared to defend contestant Rachael Kirkconnell for being photographed at an antebellum plantation-themed fraternity formal event in 2018.
Harrison apologized, and James ended up giving Kirkconnell the final rose but then broke up with her over the controversy.
Billie Eilish: This instance was not so much an apology aired but rather yet another time a White artist has felt compelled to acknowledge a Black artist when an institution — in this case, the Grammys — did not.
Last Sunday, Eilish took home the final award of the evening, the prestigious record of the year, and used her acceptance speech to explain why rapper Megan Thee Stallion, one of her fellow nominees, really deserved it.
“You are so beautiful, you are so talented,” Eilish said. “I root for you always. You deserve it, honestly.”
If the moment felt familiar, it was because we had seen it happen before.
Adele tearfully gushed about Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” album deserving to win album of the year in 2017, instead of her album “25.”
Three years before, White rapper Macklemore apologized to rapper Kendrick Lamar for winning rap album of the year instead of the Black artist.
Race and identity politics can be complicated, but what’s not hard to understand is that these incidents happen because disparities and a far-from-level playing field absolutely exist in this world and in Hollywood.
Until that changes, someone is going to end up feeling sorry for it, or at the very least need to acknowledge it publicly.
For your weekend
Three things to watch:
‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’
Calling all superhero geeks.
The time is now to finally see how the Justice League film fared in the hands of Zack Snyder, thanks to the release of this extended director’s cut. Joss Whedon had stepped in to complete the 2017 film after Snyder left the project due to personal tragedy.
“The result of this fresh take, strictly from a creative and filmmaking standpoint, is fascinating: How did two different directors — Whedon, who birthed the ‘Avengers’ franchise on screen; and Snyder, who tackled adapting the famously unadaptable ‘Watchmen’ — approach the same material?” is how my Appradab colleague Brian Lowry described the project.
The movie premieres Thursday on HBO Max (which is owned by Appradab’s parent company).
‘Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal’
Ripped from the headlines, as they say, this film uses re-enactments to tell the story of the college admissions scandal that landed several wealthy parents — including celebs Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman — in legal trouble.
The story dominated the news for months, and now you can relive it all by heading over to Netflix, where it’s currently streaming.
‘Minari’
Now that the Oscar nominations are out, you may want to check out some of the nominees.
“Minari” is up for six categories, including best picture. The drama draws on director Lee Issac Chung’s childhood to tell the tale of a Korean American family trying to survive in rural Arkansas in the 1980s.
The film is currently available to stream on several services including Apple TV and Amazon Prime.
Two things to listen to:
Justin Bieber recently told Billboard there is a message behind his new music.
“I just want to be somebody who can say, ‘Look, I did some things that I’m not too proud of, but I took a look in the mirror and decided to make some changes, and you can too,” he told the publication. “There was a time where I really did have my identity wrapped up in my career, but I really do have an overflow of feeling like my purpose is to use my music to inspire.”
His sixth studio album, “Justice,” drops Friday and is Bieber’s second album release in 13 months. (“Changes” came out on Valentine’s Day 2020.)
With marriage to model Hailey Bieber and more private time — thanks to quarantining and no cellphone to limit who can get a hold of him — the now 27-year-old former teen idol appears to be at a new stage in his life and career.
Last year, Lana Del Rey announced she would be delaying her new album, “Chemtrails Over the Country Club,” for a few months.
Now, we get to see if it was worth the wait.
The studio album from the singer is the much-anticipated follow-up to her critically acclaimed 2019 collection, “Norman F**king Rockwell,” and expectations are high that she will continue to deliver her special brand of artistry when it drops Friday.
One thing to talk about:
It’s not breaking news that award shows and their voters appear to be out of step with the general public.
But this year’s best supporting actor category for the Oscars is even more confounding.
That’s because the two stars of “Judas and the Black Messiah,” Lakeith Stanfield and Daniel Kaluuya, are both nominated in the category.
Which begs the question: “Which one is the actual star of the film if neither scored a best actor nod?”
I reached out to the Academy about this and a rep declined to comment. So we’ll just have to be content with the fact that the two won’t have to compete with the late Chadwick Boseman, a best actor nominee who is favored by many for what is believed to be his final on-screen performance in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.”
Something to sip on
Looking for something to watch? We asked some of our friends around Appradab what they binge-watch to decompress.
Fredricka Whitfield, Appradab Newsroom anchor
Not at all uplifting, nor did they help me decompress, yet I indulged in “Killing Eve,” “The Undoing” and some “Lovecraft Country.”
Michael Smerconish, Smerconish anchor
“Call My Agent!” Who’d have thought I’d get hooked on a French TV show with subtitles — but I love it.
Kate Bolduan, At This Hour anchor
How can I limit it to just one?! Now, a year into Covid, here are some of the favorites that have gotten me through — “The Queen’s Gambit,” “Succession,” “Billions,” “The Spy,” “Kids Baking Championship (seasons 1-9),” “The Men Who Built America” and “The Mandalorian.”

2022 movie of the week: masterlist
if you’ve known me for any time at all, you should know by now that i will not watch very many movies this year. i’ll aspire to, i’ll think it’s a good idea, but it’s just not that likely to happen. however, that shouldn’t stop me from the fun of trying! and this year i’m aiming for a slightly different type of goal.
my plan is to watch one movie a week. if i happen to watch more than that, great, but it’'ll be a bonus and won’t count for a following week. i’ll review my weekly movie same as i review all the movies i watch, and check them off my watchlist as i go. 1. Un projet personnel et professionnel
a. Qui suis-je ? Je me présente
a. Quelles étaient mes compétences formelles ?
- M’exprimer à l’oral
- M’exprimer à l’écrit (mail, courrier, … )
- Réaliser des plannings
- Vendre (étapes de la vente)
- Gérer des conflits
- Réalisation de tableau de bord
- Établir un bilan d’opération commerciale
- Utiliser des outils informatiques
1. Ma formation actuelle
Aisance orale
Animation de réunion
Non atteints
Parler Anglais
Faire mon stage à l’étranger
Être dans la classe 100% anglais
c. Mes compétences (MGE1, MGE2, Césure)

Over 100,000 students took the UPCAT 2019.
I mean, who wouldn't want that, right? Sa sitwasyon ko, I promised that in case I pass UPCAT, I'd really push myself studying at UP.
Besides, the title that one gains when he becomes a graduate of the university is sure a privilege that he'd be proud of with forever because he achieves it through the odds.
Unfortunately, I did not pass the admission test.
Masakit, oo. Before, I looked up too much to our seniors because they passed the CAT and for once, I told myself that I'd be one of the Cagayanos who'll be studying at that university. Someday. It's a big dream of me, actually. Masyadong mataas kung tutuusin at masyado ring imposible mangyari, considering my academic performances.
I thought I already gave my best. I realized it's not really about giving the best. Rather, it's about being at your best.
My classmates from Aquamarine knew how much I wanted to pass UPCAT and with that, I felt so much pressure then. Everybody expected too much from me. Days and months before the results were suffocating me with anxiety and nobody knew what's really going on in my mind.
As a consequence, nagulo ang plano ko kaya kailangan kong bumalik sa zero ulit. Kung ano ang susunod kong gagawin. Studying at CSU is my second option. I passed the entrance test but none of the course choices indicated I will want to pursue later on.
I do not have concrete plans. If I did, it all crashed down after I failed UPCAT.
On June 13, I jotted this in my planner...
Here's the list of things in my mind before entering college [DRAFT];
Magparecon sa UPLB since pasok ang UPG ko na 2.591 sa recon cut-off na 2.800. Besides, kapag mag-retain at hindi magbago ang percentile score criterion per subtest noong 2018, I'll probably apply in the following courses;
BS Agriculture, BS Mathematics and Science Teaching, BS Developmental Communication, BS Forestry. Depende pa raw ito kung may unfilled slots sa mga degree programs indicated in my application dahil sa ilang passers na hindi nag-confirm ng kanilang admission.
Kapag nagkataon na maipasa ko ang appeal for recon, minimum percentile score requirements per subtest, at interview, I'll consider studying at UPLB for good.
If makapasa man sa whole process of reconsideration pero hindi rin sa isa sa apat na courses abovementioned, hindi ako tutuloy sa UP. At kapag din nag-upgrade ang Recon guidelines ng UPLB, especially the minimum percentile score per subtest at hindi pasok ang scores ko, goodbye UP na talaga
Plan B ko ang CSU. My first and second course choices are RT and Chem. Eng. respectively.
This is because I am crossing over a bridge of uncertainty. Maliban doon, ito ay para ma-secure ang slot ko sa ChE in case hindi ako pumasa sa evaluation bilang waitlisted applicant ng DVM by the first week of July.
Ang kaso, ChE is rushing every one for settlement and finalization. Worse part is, kapag hindi rin pumasa sa DVM, I'll be endorsed to other courses na available (na iniiwasan kong mangyari).
My friends were asking about my plans but I couldn't give them concrete and final frames of it. Not yet.
The past few weeks taught me something. My visions of the ending were foreshadowed. I lost focus on the possible conflicts in the middle of it. I got too delusional about the feeling that I'd passed UPCAT.
Ang mali ko, I chose UPCAT as my Plan A kahit alam kong dehado. I was too inconsiderate of my capacity.
But that's life.
P.S. Kung may mali man ako sa facts about UPCAT Recon, please spare me.

CCTV all around China
What’s the case with China? What’s happening in China? Are the citizens of China living peacefully or frighteningly? Let’s explore more in this week’s blog!
In China, there are 802 million active internet users, representing 57.7 percent of the population, which in comparison, the United States only has 300 million internet users approximately. Yet, the Chinese government, President Xi Jinping, has made the world wide web not so wide as there are several issues (McCarthy 2018).
The Great Firewall of China
The Great Firewall of China has created barriers that limits the flow and exchange of information, in other words, the foreign websites and news agencies such as Facebook, YouTube, Google, Twitter, Reuters and BBC are barred from entering China’s internet (Maags 2019). Instead, China had their own version of Google, called Baidu, WeChat that is equivalent to Facebook and YouTube that is substituted by Youku. Furthermore, Dennis and Kahn (2019) asserted that the Chinese government restricted nine types of information, comprising post that might disrupt social order, and information that might harm the state’s dignity and interests. Additionally, Maags (2019) stated that public belief likewise influenced subtly by governmental social media accounts or “”50-cent army”, the state-employed bloggers that post positive news and comments about the government online to convince and influence public opinion. Nevertheless, there are Chinese citizens that refuse to believe and blindly follow the official propaganda. They responded using metaphors and code words to condemn the government and the lack of freedom of speech by accessing the internet via virtual private networks (VPNs) to avoid the Great Firewall (Maags 2019; Heaven 2019).
Censorship in China
Censorship in China is another issue faced by the Chinese citizens. Kristof (2019) noted that President Xi Jinping that is anxious and insecure regarding Hong Kong protesters, religion and Winnie-the-Pooh related topic, has lead him to be frightened that real information will penetrate the Chinese echo chamber, undermining his propaganda department’s personality cult around a kind “Uncle Xi”. One example of censorship is the banning of Winnie-the-Pooh at China’s movie theatres and internet, due to commentators that suggested it looks alike with the overweight President Xi (Kristof 2019). According to Kristof (2019), President Xi wanted to censor information in China as well as the discussions and forums in the West these days.
China’s Social Credit System
youtube
(Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOk27I2EBac)
Moving on, the China’s Social Credit System is a ranking system that helps monitor the behavior of its vast population by ranking all of them based on their “social credit” (Ma 2018). According to Ma (2018), the citizens’ score will decrease or increase depending on their behavior. This is a new technology that controls its population in a creepy and terrifying ways, which will be implemented in 2020 to ensure a safety living in China (Matsakis 2019). Each individual is given 1000 points and is consistently observed and rated based on their behavior via the pilot system (Jones 2019). They can earn points by doing good deeds such as helping the needy, donating money and praising the government on social media. In oppose to that, those behave badly such as criticizing the government, smoking in non-smoking zones, and stealing will lead to a decrease in the points. Rewards and privileges for the citizens with good behavior include receiving priority for children’s school admissions and higher opportunity of promotion at workplace. In contrast, the citizens with bad behavior will be punished by prohibiting to book train or flights ticket, public shaming, restriction in getting the best jobs and banning citizen’s children to study in the excellent schools (Ma 2018; Jones 2019).
Is China’s AI technology the answer to the future?
Personally, I think yes. This can be supported by O’Meara (2019) statement as AI technologies promise advances in communications, health care, transport and fundamental breakthrough that can potentially shape China’s future directions and reap the most advantages. For example, AI technology, incorporating huge patient data sets for training software to predict disease that needs research and development has created a distinctive opportunities and great potential workforce for China’s researchers (O’Meara 2019).
Does China’s Social Credit System help the citizens to behave well and ensure a safety living?
I think it helps the citizens to behave well and ensure a safety living, at the same time, the citizens will live frighteningly as well. Implementation of China’s Social Credit System can assist in reducing crime, so citizens can live peacefully. Citizens with good score will be given privilege and rewards. In contrast, it will also permanently affect the next generation that is innocent and this is unfair for them in the future especially when they wanted to enrol in the best school but restricted to do so due to the previous generation’s bad score. Also, imagine Chinese citizens walking on a road with thousands or millions of surveillance cameras tracking them, they have no privacy and completely transparent as all the personal data is controlled by the government and there is limit in freedom of speech on politic issues.
That’s all from me, thanks for reading!
