THE DARKEST OF PITCH ROMANCES OFTEN BEGIN IN A MORE TRADITIONALLY RED QUADRANT. I'VE SEEN IT COUNTLESS TIMES. thanks for the curiosity! i've meant to post the backstory of it with a comic, but since the questions are popping up i'm giving you guys some relief of mind by resuming some of it.

first of all, it was a very intense brawl. like, one of the worst ones. It likely started with dave catching karkat trying to flee again as the door was still unlocked, and that made him so upset he threatened karkat with a dagger(but it was just that, an empty threat out of desperation.) but karkat thrashed so much, he managed to escape and fled since the door was still open.

needless to say dave was faster, so karkat had the brilliant idea of running.....straight to the woods. he was panicked and scared! he needed to throw dave off to search for help!! but it failed, and dave had him pinned once again. lots more of fighting and thrashing and wiggling around and them SLASH! right at his eye! >:O

dave obviously began apologizing when realizing what he had just done while karkat screamed bloody murder because his right eye was stabbed and there's blood dribbling on his face and it's such a blinding pain he can feel his brain try to shut down while dave's voice annoys him and AAARGGHHH!!!!!!

of course they can't go to a hospital, silly! because karkat is a missing person, and that would not be good for them. so dave does the best he can to patch it up enough so that karkat doesnt die of blood loss or an infection and the rest is history :D

Dave’s leg shakes sometimes and he can’t sit still. Karkat hates sleeping with Dave at first because he won’t stop fucking moving. He’s half asleep and then he feels Dave shaking like an anxious dog.
