Everyone looks a little sad at the end, for good reason. The way they made Rogue look like younger Rogue the way Johnny only knows her, because he's the one in the "driver's seat" in V, yet still having age markers that show she's not the same Rogue he used to know, is so beautiful.

I cannot emphasise enough that Rio lets Billy go. Agatha, a person who is going to die someday, dying in the place of someone who is taking a second life doesn’t even out the balance. Not really. Rio needed something to use as a reason to let this boy, who reminds her love so much of their son, live.

She lets him go after Agatha dies. She doesn’t take back what is rightly hers and she lets him go find another who has broken the rules. She loves Agatha so much she gives her more time again.
