I see you in the morning rain
Oh, step inside and lay beside me
Tender, can you close my eyes and blind me?
Oh, give me just a smile
Before I fade to silver
Silver blue for you

“Oh give me just a smile...”
I've turned into The Broken One who lost the inspiration. I want to give you all my love like water to a blood red rose. The Passion - I can't deal with her. The Pain - well, I can do without him. And this is like the milky way, an ocean that only grows and grows.
Uffff.... Per Gessle!!!!
Per used to have very strong lyrics in the songs he wrote after Gyllene Tider broke up till Roxette became super famous.
The lyrics above are from (you all obviously know) Silver Blue. The song was a part of Tourism (1992) but it was actually written somewhere in 1987, so Roxette was not in the category of “Super Famous”.
I know no one who doesn’t like “Silver Blue” - Yes, everyone likes romantic songs, but half of them don’t admit it. But when, A. There is a romantic song written by Per Gessle and, B. It is a duet of Per and Marie - One-just-can’t-get-enough-of-it. Silver Blue is one of them.
And thanks to the song, the Color “Silver Blue” has also gone pretty famous among people. Many even have Silver Blue cars and even bicycles.
Tender can you close my eyes and blind me, oh give me just a smile...
Gessle lyrics are still very deep, but somehow the late 80s have a more poetic feel to them. Accidental: maybe? But do you believe in accidents?
And then comes this:
I wrap my arms around your naked shoulders, take cover for the night.
Nothing very deep, just a simple little song lyric - but you felt it, didn’t you?

Tourism in 2017
I was wondering if anyone of you already knew what I'd be writing about tonight, because I've made it pretty obvious. But on the other hand, the new year already feels pretty far behind, when it has only been 4 days. Tourism. When I converted to Roxette-ism, Tourism was the album which I heard every night for almost 3-4 months, in the summers from May to August. I loved it so dearly that I remember listening to it multiple times a day. And every time, "Silver Blue" took my heart away. Per and Marie duets are always something which Roxette fans will never ever get enough. These duets are the songs which gives the complete idea of what Roxette really is. But you know what, it wasn't "Silver Blue" which I waited for the most, it was "Come Back (Before you leave)", which is kind of an underrated song of Tourism. I've heard this song hundreds of times, and before today, I was wondering why did I like it so much in the past. I still don't have an answer honestly. The song is a typical album track, with some real fine strings and a sweet approach in its lyrics. The album is a full package, live tracks, names of cities which interest fans. I guess the only thing missing is "Listen to your heart", which obviously isn't to robe regretted. It has "How do you do!" which makes Germany jump of their seats and so so happy, that it makes you feel proud of Roxette. And hey, did you notice that the album tries its best to have a fade in-fade out feel between songs, to make it feel like a continuation? Yeah? And did you also notice, "Roxette clap-clap-clap Roxette clap-clap-clap Roxette" before "Queen of Rain" makes you feel like the clouds before it's to rain? Wonderful album. Travelling couldn't get the T2 status (tourism 2), but it most certainly was inspiring enough. Love and Peace 4/1/2017
