I reserve an entire day for travel, because that's what it takes when you're traveling by train and public transit.
Things feel so short, now: I'm flying back. I have a ride to the airport, so I don't have to call an Uber. I'll be dropped in front of the check-in, so no need to map the airport early. Orlando International Airport is automatic: everyone knows where to walk. I have a ride from there too, so no mapping Lynx buses or Ubering. The AirBnb is ready, keyless entry. But...I can't leave before the flight.
I have to wait. But not awkwardly dozing in a train station. In a comfy warm house. I'm not used to this, but oddly...it feels less cozy. The train station doesn't care what you do, as long as you keep quiet. Here, I feel like I'm being watched, so it's a very tense wait.
I don't want to dump on the people who have been feeding me and housing me for weeks. They're nice, they're giving from their hearts. They're just so normal, seeing the world from inside this warm house or warm hotel rooms and airplanes. They can't really understand my quirks? It hasn't stopped them from basically giving me a room for a month, taking me on family trips and out to attractions, etc. I've been included in their lives, and I didn't have to ask.
I can't smoke, so it's been a hell of fighting off anxiety to sleep instead of getting high to sleep. That's the bottom line: I can't live while hiding my medication, it's very stressful. Quitting is worse, as the longer stretches here have rendered me nonverbal. I'm way better off in Florida, even alone, if I'm not being watched and judged based on my type of medication. They never said anything about the abusable benzos in plain sight. Mike only brought up the cannabis. Their view is myopic.
There was a lot that was rough about me when I blew in, though. I understand the culture shock in both directions. Life here is too unlike home, though: no spicy food, the sun is rare, things ice over. I don't see myself adjusting to life in STL.

Destati High Strelitzia's father walked out on her family when she was a little girl. She hasn't seen her father ever since. Because Strelitzia doesn't know what a healthy relationship looks like, she's afraid to fall in love & doesn't allow herself to get too close to anyone & begins to follow in her mother's footsteps by jumping from one sexual partner to the next. Strelitzia finds out she is pregnant & goes to get an abortion. Before she gets the abortion, her mother calls her father & he shows up after not seeing Strelitzia or Lauriam for a decade. Strelitzia storms out of the house & refuses to speak to him. Ven then convinces Strelitzia to hear him out & maybe they can have a better relationship. She attempts to, but finds out her father has a whole other family & then swears she never wants anything to do with him again.
Hikari University In the 3 year time gap, Strelitzia then meets a girl in college named Kaylynn & Strelitzia decides to actually give dating a chance. Strelitzia's father still hasn't attempted to contact her. Strelitzia begins to feel smothered by Kaylynn & starts distancing herself from her. Subconsciously, it is because Strelitzia is in love with Ven & always secretly has been. Skuld blurts to Ven that Strelitzia does have feelings for him after she breaks up with Kaylynn. Ven confesses to her & the two begin dating.
Lifelines A year after Hikari University, Strelitzia is still dating Ven & the two have moved in together. They are both taking things slowly, day by day & allowing whatever's meant to happen, happen while enjoying their time together. Strelitzia eventually gets her memories back & begins training along with Ven & the other characters, preparing for an epic battle ahead. However, Ariana warns them they must leave the realm they are currently residing in & travel to a secret realm to keep their future children safe from a new enemy, Victoria. They travel to this secret realm & live there for six years. During this time, Ven & Strelitzia get married & have a daughter named Vivian.

CBD products are widely known for their use on humans, but hemp extracted CBD for pets is rising in popularity. If you are interested in this topic, you probably know that CBD can be used for pets in the same ways it can be used for humans. Hemp Derived CBD Products
The Cannabis Sativa plant from which Hemp shares its genus and species contains over 100 compounds, 66 of which are considered Cannabinoids. Cannabis, or Marijuana, is typically known for the THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) compound. THC is the psychoactive compound that is responsible for the “high” experienced from smoking pot. CBD on the other hand is non-psychoactive and does not give users a high. This is an important distinction, because THC can be dangerous for animals. Many Colorado veterinarians have reported an increase in severely intoxicated pets, especially since cannabis legalization. Although possibly lethal, “pot-poisoned” pets tend to exhibit more of the negative side-effects related to THC; including fear, paranoia, anxiety, and dry-mouth.
In contrast, CBD does not produce most of the negative side-effects associated with THC, but does exhibit many of the benefits. Some rarely reported downsides to CBD in pets are an increase in appetite, lethargy, and dry-mouth. Those minor pitfalls have not prevented increased veterinary study of how Cannabinoids interact with animals. To better understand why pet owners are turning to CBD, let’s take a look at the endocannabinoid system of our pets and see how CBD interacts with it.
The Endocannabinoid System of Dogs and Cats
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is important for executing numerous physiological functions. Some of those regulated functions include:
Appetite
Anxiety and mood
Memory and cognitive abilities
Sleep and energy
Pain perception
The ECS’s main function is to regulate homeostasis by managing the stress response-system of the body. The ECS cannabinoid receptors discovered in humans, also exists in our four legged friends. This complex system is as critical to our lives as it is to our pets.
Endocannabinoids are neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors in cats and dogs. These neurotransmitters are produced naturally in many ways, including the consumptions of certain fats and oils. One of the most crucial fatty acids for cats and dogs are linolenic acid (ALA), found abundantly in Flaxseed Oil. Cannabinoid molecules also bind to these receptors causing different effects on your pets body; benefiting your pets endocannabinoid system and the functions it manages.
The science of CBD for your pets
Although scientific research is being performed on the veterinary uses for CBD and other Cannabinoids, we are unable to share any medical claims. We recommend exploring the findings of Clinical Sciences researcher Dr. McGrath of The University of Colorado and her findings about Cannabidiol during her veterinary research. Also consider The American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association survey comprised of 1201 respondents. The survey found that:
36.5% of respondents currently use CBD products on their dog or cat
10.1% of respondents have used CBD products on their dog or cat in the past
Additionally, 4,628 pet owners were surveyed about CBD use on their pets. Owners were asked whether they perceived any benefits from the CBD products used on their cat or dog. Overall, 13.8% reported they perceived the product to have “helped a great deal,” while only 8.7% perceived no impact. The survey encompassed 15 different symptoms, of which 13 symptoms included pet owners who reported at least a “little” help with the symptoms monitored.
Despite some positive research findings, many veterinarians are hesitant to applaud CBD products because of the limited body of evidence. However, the known ECS link between humans and animals means a logical inference can be made that CBD can be leveraged in the same ways it can be for humans. Research is beginning to support that hypothesis and we encourage you to seek out these clinical findings. Who are you? I’m just an average 19yo cunt who spends his time either at work or in front of the PC (yeah, yeah no-lifer with no friends), an odd bird who is either goofy or dead serious, but also a highly motivated person to whom yo can always come and ask for help or assign a task, cuz i like helping people and getting sh*t done. Also I have my weird ways of expressing myself by using analogies for example (you may have noticed already)
What do you want to be remembered for? I wanna be remembered as an example of kindness and how regardless of all the sh*t life throws at you it’s possible to remain kind and loving. I want to teach my close friends that you should talk without offending (intentionally), listen without judging, help without expecting anything in return, because I still believe in the good side that people claim is gone. I was saved from a possible suicide by a person who was my torch when everything around me was dark, who found me when I was lost, who reached for me and pulled me up. That saved me from applying a permanent solution to a temporary problem, so now I want to give back to the people, I believe that a life lost to depression is a life time full of missed opportunities and that’s why I want to teach people to be careful with their words and actions and be helpful, because you might never know… you CAN be the force that changes someone’s perspective on life for the better.

Winning outside the pharma and healthcare box. Johnson & Johnson and partners picked up the Grand Prix for Entertainment on Tuesday night for the film “5B.” The film about the nurses who founded and opened the first AIDS ward at San Francisco General Hospital, called Ward 5B in 1983 was picked up in May by Verizon for broader distribution and officially debuted June 14. “5B” was created by Oscar-nominated director Dan Krauss and Saville Productions, known for its branded ad and film work. Saville tweeted in May after Verizon picked up “5B”: “The film is an HIV/AIDS crisis doc, commissioned by Johnson & Johnson, & shows how brands can authentically get behind global issues.” The film also won a Lions Health & Wellness silver statue on Monday night.
Stand up for nontraditional creative. Getting the green light for a brand film targeted at physicians at a pharma company is not for the faint of heart. Even the best ideas face multiple hurdles. AstraZeneca’s Lions Health award-winning "The Attack" film from last year highlighted the risk of repeat heart attacks, but was "that close" to being killed, said Kyriakos Konstantinidis, global strategy director at AstraZeneca. That's what his boss told him later after winning four more global awards and industry impact, feedback and successes rolled in. It helped that Konstantinidis understood the vision that ad agency Havas Lynx brought with its ideas—his father had worked in the film industry and he grew up in and around it. Konstantinidis and Havas' perseverance not only led to the creation of "The Attack," but another new disease awareness film about cardiovascular risks around Type 2 diabetes that debuted recently. That patient-targeted film features a fisherman talking about the dangers of heart disease for Type 2 patients while his boat engine stalls, noting, "That's how dangerous Type 2 diabetes is. It can cause your heart, your engine, to fail." Konstantinidis urged the audience and pharma in general to take risks, albeit calculated ones with a strategy meets creativity foundation. "When you're working in the pharmaceutical industry which has a very conservative approach to these sort of ideas, and you have your colleagues and peers coming to you (after the campaign) to say, apart from congratulations, 'How did you do that? We want to copy that, we want to do the same brief. ... What is the direction I need to take internally to make this a success in order to get the buy in?' Then you know you have created a new area," he said.
Fighting fake news. Panelists from Johnson & Johnson, McCann Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tackled the thorny problem of combating disinformation about vaccines. "It won't be a TV campaign," said Seema Kumar, J&J's vice president for innovation in global health and science policy. Social media might play a role, but it's really peer-to-peer and face-to-face that's most important, the panelists decided. How to make that happen? "I'm challenging you," panel moderator Rajesh Mirchandani, chief communications officer of the UN Foundation, told the audience. In another session moderated by Conde Nast’s health chief Jen Mormile, Self editor in chief Carolyn Kylstra said their research found that while fake health news is not new—snake oil has been around a long time—it’s an issue because of social media and the rapid way disinformation now spreads, exacerbated by the lack of trust in authority figures. To combat it, Self is doubling down on health news editing, fact checking and vetting sources including celebrities. Meanwhile, co-panelist physician Esther Choo said doctors can do their part by going beyond traditional journal model of publish-and-done model. Today physicians need to follow up and make sure other scientists are misusing or misconstruing their work, she said.
VR for VR's sake. Too many pharma marketers are making the mistake of recruiting tech tools for jobs they can't do, or just using those tech tools poorly, said Sam Glassenberg, founder and CEO of LevelEx, which makes mobile games for physician training. For example, method-of-action presentations that used to be on big screens have moved into virtual reality. But zooming around a molecule in the virtual world while sitting still in the real one tends to make people nauseous. "The last thing you want a doctor to associate with your drug is nausea," Glassenberg said. The moral of the story is to use VR only when it's the only way to tell a particular story—and when you do, make it a spectator sport, he said.
Real-world evidence and technology are natural partners, said Alex Gilbert, head of partnerships at app developer Medopad, as he ticked off the ways his company’s working with life sciences companies such as Novartis to help collect the sort of patient data that can help drugmakers add new indications to existing drugs. “We’re now creating a living, breathing document of a patient," Gilbert said. “Your health record doesn’t have to be in the hospital. It’s here, created by you.”
Spending on real-world evidence has hit $1.48 billion, according to Simone Seymour, founder and CEO of the biometric textiles company Supa. Real-world evidence is “really hot right now” for personalizing products but “also for understanding how drugs are actually working.” Companies are tapping Supa’s tech—and its network of app users—to monitor and recruit patients for real-world evidence trials.
