they may not have been blood, but from birth, rhaenys had always considered lyara hightower a sister. it was only as they aged ( as their own sisters of blood began to bicker and clash ) that the realities had sunken in — that the strain began to form a wedge between them more difficult to ignore with each passing day until the pair had backed out of their once unbreakable friendship in favor of others. the youngest targaryen had seen the heartbreak in her brother over the separation that formed and while the man had never been one to shed a tear, the girl managed to cry enough for them both. 

with lyara now bearing the targaryen name ( something that had once seemed a dream to the blonde ) had changed much. tensions flared between the forming sides of a war, put aside in favor of the westrosi gathering for the tournament and baratheon outrage. knowing her brother had been dragged away by rhaenyra to discuss exactly how to take care of the unruly stags, rhaenys had made a point to show up at their chambers early. stepping into the space, she spared the servants a brief glance before turning to address the other woman. “ñuha mandia,” she murmured in greeting, a smile on her lips as she offered out a hand. “i thought we might accompany one another to the tourney grounds until my sister releases your husband. if i do not take the opportunity to steal you now, it may be years yet until that beast releases you and i fear we have just as much mending to do.” clearing her throat, lilac eyes dropped from hers almost uncomfortably for a moment. lyara knew well enough of the blondes pining and would certainly hear of it from aenar sooner or later. what harm would it bring to mention it now? “and while i wished to have doubled the joyous occasion, it seems the gods did not smile in my favor and my sister is quite rabid in offering my hand now that the tourney is underway. i should wish for your opinion on suitors, if you will offer it.”

I really need more smps/series to be done with videos because my timezones stop me from seeing the stream and even when I could i'm extremly inconsistent. Also i'm in way too many fandoms to be able to watch the VODs so to allthe peoples that made/make recap videos for servers i love you so much (especially evanmcgaming and the pixlriff/zloyxp/lyara crew)

Like i'm a big content smp fan but keeping up with it is so hard because they post videos every 3 month and I am not able to get on the stream so I end up knowing the lore by reading the live reactions of my mutuals on tumblr..

It has come to my ( @gravitywasneveranoption ) attention that the portrayal of Cain and Lyara was extremely insensitive and problematic. I did not intend for this, nor do I see the exact moment I went wrong, but I am more than committed to fixing this mistake as much as possible. If anyone has any idea on how I should handle this in the future or if I should at all, I would be more than grateful for your feedback. The steps I have taken so far is to reach out to some of the people who might have been at most effect of the fic and to delete it all together. I am also going on a long hiatus to figure out how to do better in the future. So far, I see the future as deleting this blog and AU and letting my friends do with the rest as they see fit. If this seems at any way problematic, please let me know as soon as possible. I sincerely apologize for the stress I have caused, and I fully intend to limit this in the future.

Jaenera Targaryen, daughter of the rogue prince Daemon Targaryen and his wife-niece Valaena Targaryen. She is the younger sister of Aelor Targaryen and older sister to Naerys, Valarr and Baelon Targaryen.

Jaenera was sent to the north at the age of ten and six to marry the warden Cregan Stark who was ten years her senior. Cregan Stark had a son from a previous marriage that ended when his lady wife passed from childbirth. Jaenera and Cregan conceived five children beginning with Elara Stark followed by Lyara Stark, Edric Stark, Osric Stark and Daenora Stark.

Jaenera absolutely loathed Lord Stark when she first arrived to the north. Many believed that their marriage will be fruitless considering Jaenera never let the warden of the north anywhere near her. Until one day almost two years into their marriage when the two of them disappeared on dragon back and returned days later seeming as if they were newly weds, till this day no one knows where they went or what happened that caused the change.
