can  we  just  talk  about  the  fact  that  ahri's  elderwood  skin  can  pour  her  magic  back  into  nature  to  bring  it  to  life,  and  how  her  coven  skin  can  draw  magic  from  nature  and  utilize  it  as  her  own.
i  already  headcanoned  a  long  time  ago  that  she  draws  magic  from  the  world  around  her  (  though  it's  less  of  a  headcanon  since  it's  actual  canon  now  --  i  just  wrote  it  before  coven  came  out  some  three  years  ago!  )  but  anyway  i  just  think  it's  neat. it's  nice  to  imagine  she  can  do  this  to  some  extent  in  her  regular  canon;  not  necessarily  as  powerfully  because  these  abilities  are  both  so  distinctly  tied  to  the  worlds  of  these  respective  skinlines,  but  if  ahri  can  use  her  magic  to  heal  herself,  why  not  nature?  i  mean,  it's  quite  literally  just  guiding  raw  magic  back  into  the  world  around  her,  and  she  is  already  masterful  at  drawing  it  out—  so. yeah,  ahri  can  make  little  blossoms  bloom  or  bring  little  plants  back  to  life  if  they're  droopy. she  can  also  pull  that  same  magic  out  and  shift  it  around,  even  transferring  it  from  one  physical  source  to  another.
she's  adept  at  manipulating  magic,  i  mean,  that's  what  her  canonical  tribe  was  known  for  after  all:  their  otherworldly  mastery  over  magic  manipulation!

Soooo you ship Red x Orange out of spite? Did I understand that clearly? xD'
(Not mocking you dw)
Also ty for the essay! it was interesting :3
-tulip
I wouldn't describe it as spite, per se, just that Lush Caves got me way more emotional with Red & Orange's dynamics in general than other duos episodes have
Not to imply i dislike Blue/Yellow or Green/Purple. Those ships are indeed cute, but it's like Red/Orange got an extra spice or zap that the other ships don't have because of their quarrel. The contrast makes those moments where they are affectionate shine the more.

i think we all forgot about ‘this land is inhospitable and so are we’
it is genuinely a masterpiece of music, everything about it is perfect, the instrumentation, the writing, the vocals and the arrangement!!
it is perfect and needs more continued recognition and to be remembered for my than ‘my love mine all mine’ which don’t get me wrong is a beautiful song but the tiktokification of it and how you always hear it sped up takes away from the beauty of the original
why can we not recognise ‘bug like an angel’, ‘the frost’ or ‘buffalo replaced’ equally
THE WHOLE ALBUM IS PERFECT AND EACH SONG MAKES IT

VOD UPLOADING HAS BEGUN.... (thanks again to jay for uploading and sophie for editing a bunch of these segmented vods. you two are my heroes forever.) fresh on the channel is possibly one of the funniest streams we've done, THAT TIME I TRIED TO ANSWER A BUNCH OF QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SONIC COMICS BASED ON OVER-A-DECADE-OLD MEMORIES OF READING THEM

Okay so @the-official-account made me listen to three of hearts, and I've only listened about four episodes but I'm enjoying it so far!
My favorite things so far are
1) hosts seem to know what they're doing and balance comedy w/storytelling which is nice
2) they actually care about their characters! Very very nice to see in a trrpg podcast (what is the point of making a special little guy if you don't love him with all your heart?)
3) its really really fun to listen to and reminds me of my tabletops ive played :) its engaging! And pretty well paced so far.
Overall lovely! Look forward to listening to more

oh yeah uhm, same anon from before but i was meaning to ask, like; how do you colour? Its okay if you don't want to answer that! The style is so nice, i only colour in flat colours but i've been meaning to change my style a bit but idk how ^^;;
Hope you don't mind me asking you question! Have a nice day!
Hello again! I don't mind at all, I'm happy to share - I love talking about this stuff! It'll probably get long and rambly so sorry in advance.
I don't always have the most consistent style or coloring method but the one I use the most is closer to how I like to paint with oil, I guess. I tend to put a real messy sketch down, maybe cleaning it up some without doing lines. Then I do some base colors underneath to get a general idea of how I want it to look before painting more details on top of everything (in a new layer or after flattening all the layers). During the first stage I like to throw colors I want to incorporate underneath like you would to "underpaint" in oil painting - just separate layers that I color drop from like this:
Tumblr media
Which is what I used for this:

You can kind of see the base color stage w/ the underpainting on this one (it was just a sketch so I never got to detailing):
And I'm not always happy with the colors so sometimes I play with gradient layers to make adjustments to the palette retroactively.
Other times I do just paint in black and white and then use overlay layers to color after, which is another painting technique called glazing, I like it when I want something to have strong values (or when I'm feeling like painting in b&w):
Tumblr media
Anyway, that's the gist! Feel free to ask more if you have questions or I didn't make sense lol. I happened to have some progress gifs and videos hanging around so it was a fun excuse to post them!
More than anything I think it's fun to just experiment throwing things down and seeing what you think looks cool! Breaking away from what you're used to doing can be hard but it's rewarding when you make something new!

Went to fucking MOA today bc it's the only place with a Lush and got super overstimulated by the mall atmosphere (hate hate hate malls), and then, while already overstimulated, decided it would be a fine time to go into a hot topic for the first time in my whole life fsr, and experienced the emotion of "Oh I shouldn't be in here," not in in an "I'm too old for this" way, but in an "I'm a kid and my parents wouldn't like it," way, despite the fact that I'm 26 and live in a different state??? So, ok.
