The music from this region is just so. Crazy even! I have been a few times and cannot wait to get back over there again as soon as Crap-19 takes a hike and leaves this planet already. seventh-floor corridor | remus lupin x reader

“oh my gosh, oh goodness. nope, no thank you, not today!”

you knew it was bound to happen someday, it was inevitable, but not this soon. well, it has been a few years, but to you, anytime would be too soon. the letter from remus had only been an invitation to join them for a small get-together in the gryffindor common room, with the day’s password for entry. but as soon as you read the handwriting that was so obviously his, blood rushed to your cheeks and a wide smile spread across your face.

for the past couple of weeks, you’d subconsciously had the same reaction to each of his friendly gestures, but it wasn't until now that you'd connected the dots. the butterflies when he smiled at you from his place in your shared classes, the urge to dress nicely when he would be around, the blush that overtook your features when he wrote to you. if anyone else was watching, they would’ve seen it. in hindsight, it was so clear, but not all things are constantly visible, and you wished you could’ve remained blind.

you sat down on the soft bed you’d called yours for the past six years, closing the yellow drapes around you. the plants of the hufflepuff dormitories crept in through the openings above, vines wrapping slowly around the simple wooden bed frame, securing it from your dorm mates if they were to walk in.

you remained in silence for a few moments, the only noise to be heard in the room was the sound of your breathing. sunlight streamed in through the windows, casting faint shadows across the dorm. in theory, it was peaceful, an environment many would find to be soothing. but when your thoughts were running wild with the worst possibilities, those same comforts became mere background noise in the zoo of your mind.

ten minutes passed in silence before a knock sounded at the door, awakening you from the nightmare that had begun to form in your mind. “y/n?” said the voice, quickly recognizable as kate’s. she opened the door, the sound of her light footsteps replacing the silence in the room.

she pulled back the drapes to find you laying back against the headboard. you looked distraught, anxious, a state no one would want to find their best friend in. “what happened?”

“remus. remus lupin happened,” you replied quietly.

“what did he do? do I need to kick his arse?”

“just... exist. you don’t need to do anything, he did nothing wrong.”

“then what’s the issue?” kate asked.

“he did everything right,” you mumbled, looking up at her. “I got an owl from him a few minutes ago inviting me over, and I’m uh- I’ve just realized some things.”

“you like him?” she inferred excitedly.

“um, yeah. I guess so.”

“Y/N! finally!”

“what’s that supposed to mean?”

“do you know how many bets I’ve made on you two? it’s about time!”

“sure, kate. don’t get your hopes up!” you warned.

“are you sure it’s my hopes you’re worried about?” kate smirked. “honestly, though, I’m ninety-nine percent sure he’s liked you for a while. just write back to him already!”

“oh, shoot, yeah. good idea,” you said, glancing at the owl sat on the window sill. 

“I’m full of those.”

she got up off the bed, and you moved to sit at the old writing desk by the window. you got yourself a small piece of parchment, then opened the inkwell. you dipped your quill in the black liquid, letting the excess drip off before you placed it to the parchment. your quill danced across the page as you wrote your response, apologizing for responding so late and telling him you’d be there in ten minutes.

you rolled the parchment and tied it gently to the owl’s leg. after giving the owl and extra treat for waiting so long, you sent it off, then performed a quick cleaning charm on your hands to rid them of the ink. waving kate goodbye and promising to meet her at supper, you set off to the gryffindor common room.

the walk through the castle to gryffindor tower had become a familiar one. you travelled it most days, so in just minutes, you had arrived at the portrait of the fat lady that controlled the entrance to the common room. “oh hello, miss y/l/n. did mr. lupin tell you the password again?”

“you know he always does. pumpernickel,” you smiled, remembering how upset she used to get with him whenever he shared the password with you. when she realized he wasn’t going to stop, though, she’d begun to take a liking to you. the door swung open, and you climbed through the portrait hole into the commons.

students were scattered in various places throughout the room, very few fazed by your entry. the marauders were all seated by the fire, along with frank, alice and lily. you were the only member of the group who was in a different house, and while that had caused some issues at first, they, too, had learned to love you just as remus did- but platonically.

lily was the first to spot you, calling your name over the chatter. she beamed as you walked over, sitting in between her and remus. “I missed you,” she said, drawing out the end of the sentence.

“I was here yesterday! but I missed you too, lils,” you laughed. aside from remus, lily was your closest friend of the gryffindors. you’d known her for just a year less than you had remus, but despite this, you’d become almost as close.

“what a lovely welcome for the rest of us, y/n. thank you for coming!” remus joked, sarcasm ringing in his words.

“come on, rem. you know I love you just as much.”

sirius and james looked at remus knowingly, as he spoke again, blushing, “of course I do, and I love you too.”

“so when are you two finally going to sneak off and snog?”

“james! we couldn’t and wouldn’t! besides, if that’s what we’re considering ‘tension’, you and sirius would be right up there with us,” you exclaimed, trying desperately to refrain from blushing.

“who says we’re not in love?”

with each passing day, you were finding it harder and harder to be in his presence. you needed to get away from your thoughts, from other people. so after supper friday evening, you waved kate goodbye and set off to the seventh floor corridor. 

the room of requirement had been a soothing place for you since you and remus had found it in third year, and you often visited it together and separately. normally, you went in search of a place to be comfortable, but you didn’t need the reminder of remus right now. you just needed to get away from the possibilities, so that’s exactly what you thought to get rid of.

“I need to know the truth, I need to know the truth,” you thought, pacing in front of the old stone wall. within moments, a door had appeared for you. you sighed, relieved that it worked. you opened the door, looking around the unfamiliar room curiously as you took a step in. when you finally looked straight ahead, the sight ahead of you stopped you in your tracks.

lily and remus were stood there, closer than they usually would be. remus was facing away from the door, lily looking right ahead at you. their position wasn’t what threw you off guard, but the words that remus was speaking. “I know you probably don’t like me back, but um, I was wondering if-”

“y/n,” lily whispered, panic overtaking her features as you quickly turned around to leave. 

“what?” remus asked, stopping in the middle of his sentence.

“um, nothing, don’t worry about it. I just need to go find her, something’s wrong,” she explained quickly, suddenly becoming antsy.

“how do you know that? do you need help?” he worried, afraid that something had happened that he didn’t know about.

“I said not to worry about it! I’ll catch up to you later, remus!” she replied as she ran out the door. she sprinted down the corridor, glancing down each of the branching hallways as she went by. nothing, you were nowhere to be found.

you only ever went to two places when you needed to think, the room of requirement and the hospital wing. considering you had just been at the former, lily set to the first floor of the castle. when she arrived, she found you replenishing potions at a student’s bedside.

“y/n, I swear it wasn’t what it looked like!” she spoke frantically.

“lily, be quiet! they’re sleeping!” you exclaimed in a whisper. “I’ll talk to you in a moment.” you placed the bottle back down on the nightstand, fixed your apron, then turned to face her. “what was it, then?”

“I- I can’t tell you,” lily mumbled, looking down at her feet.

you smiled. “I’m happy for you two, lily. I’m glad you found each other.”

“y/n, are you jealous?” you just looked up at her, and the look in your eyes was all she needed to know. “you are. you are jealous! you like him!”

“why are you happy about that?” you questioned, looking at her like she was crazy.

“just don’t worry about it. gotta go!” she said, then sped off.

“lily! wait!” you called, but she was already out the door. you stood in place for a moment, before turning to madam pomfrey. “did you…?”

“yes, dear, and I think we’re thinking the same thing,” she smirked at you.

“I think I’ll just play it safe,” you said to the young matron. “they looked quite happy when I walked in on him asking her out.”

“whatever you think is best, y/n. you know remus better than anyone.”

saturday went by too slowly for your taste, but you knew exactly why. you hadn’t talked to remus all day, even going to the extent of sitting with the ravenclaws at the quidditch match. he knew something was up; usually, you’d stay together whenever you could. but as much as he tried to get it out of lily, she wouldn’t budge. 

you weren’t in the great hall for any meals, but as the gryffindors were leaving supper, he saw kate with an extra plate of food. so it was true, then, you were avoiding him. when they reached the common room, remus was quick to pull lily aside. “okay that’s it, you need to tell me what’s wrong with y/n.”

“she likes you, and she walked in on you practicing to ask her out, and she thought you were asking me out, and I couldn’t explain to her that you weren’t because that would ruin it for you, and now I’m rambling, and I’m sorry,” she babbled worriedly, scared of his reaction.

“wow. okay um, first of all, she whats?” he asked, somewhat in shock.

“she likes you, rem.”

“there is absolutely no way she does. you’re kidding me, right?” a small smile spread across his scarred face.

“no! she really likes you! I’m sure she has for a while, but you know how she is. you need to talk to her,” she spoke excitedly.

“that’s easier said than done, lils. she won’t even talk to me!” he sighed, unsure of how he could at least get you to listen to him.

“well of course she won’t talk to you, she thinks you’re in love with me. you need to start dropping hints that you like her and not me!”

“I don’t know how.”

“let me tell you something. I’ve known you and y/n for four years, and y/n and I talk about things you’d never be allowed to know. she’s easier to get to than you think. but because I’m a good person, I’ll try to help,” she compromised, knowing she’d have to help anyway. 

“I don’t know what I’d do without you, lily. thank you so much,” he expressed, his features softening.

“of course, rem. I’m always here to help when you need me.”

going to breakfast on sunday was inevitable; kate refused to bring any more food down to the dorms for you. you woke up as early as possible to get up to great hall, in yet another attempt to escape remus. you walked past your sleeping dorm mates and through the common room, you double-checked for your wand before exiting through the hidden entrance.

the walk to the great hall never took too long, but it seemed to drag on for hours with the possibility of having to face him at breakfast. you couldn’t let him know that you’d fallen for him, and if he came over after friday’s incident, you’d have the added burden of his relationship with lily.

lost in your thoughts, it was purely your subconscious that lead you to the right location and around any of the other early risers. that is, until you heard a familiar voice calling your name, “y/n! can you just listen to me, please?”

“no, remus. I’m not in the mood,” you replied, walking away from him.

“you need to hear me out, I promise you won’t regret it,” he pleaded. you turned around to look at him for the first time in days, and finally, you understood. he was a mess, and judging by his reaction to seeing you, you were, too.

“rem, what… what happened to you?” you asked, concerned by his distraught appearance.

“you, you happened. when you stopped talking to me I had no idea why, but lily told me and I just… I don’t know. I really missed you, way more than I should’ve. I know what it looked like, and I can promise, gosh y/n, as much as I love lily, I could never date her. she was just helping me get practice in for if I ever were to ask a girl out, that’s all.

she gave me some advice on how to get you to talk to me, but I uh, I ignored that, and now I’m here, talking to you, apologizing for taking her to our special place. I’m sorry, y/n,” he looked at you with teary eyes as he spoke, and even though he didn’t know the real reason you were upset, it definitely eased your frustration with him.

“rem… I’m so sorry too. I was being stupid, I shouldn’t have overreacted like I did,” you smiled sheepishly at him.

“so we’re good?”

“yeah, we’re good,” you beamed. “care to join me for breakfast, mr. lupin?”

“why of course, miss y/l/n. you needn’t even ask,” he replied, mimicking your posh speech.

when you finally entered the great hall and sat down together at the hufflepuff table, a few more students had arrived, looking confusedly at the pair of you. you only felt relief, though, and honestly, you wouldn’t trade any of it for the world.

another week passed, and nothing happened between you two. well, nothing that either of you wanted to happen. it was normal, too normal, considering the tension that had arisen when remus found out about your feelings. what made it worse, though, was that you didn’t know that he knew. he found humour in it, seeing you trying not to blush or slip up, it was flattering, even. but he still didn’t make a move, he knew you would when you were ready.

that time came on thursday, when you went up to him after supper. he was sitting with the other marauders, as always, laughing at a joke peter had told. you walked up from behind, and tapped him on the shoulder. you waited for their laughter to die down before speaking up, “hey rem? can you, uh, meet me in the seven when you’re done? I’m heading up now, so I’ll be there when you arrive.”

“yeah! yeah, of course, y/n. I’ll be there in a few minutes,” he said, smiling gently at your nickname for the room of requirement.

“okay, great, I’ll see you soon!” you confirmed before turning around to leave.

when you were gone, james turned to remus, “you think she’s finally gonna shoot her shot?”

“I hope so, I’m so ready,” he laughed.

“we are too, moony. the tension between you two has been unbearably thick this week, we need it to stop.”

“come on, prongs. we aren’t that bad!”

“yes, you are. now get going!”

with that, he sat up from the bench, and set off for the seventh-floor corridor. he walked fast, his long legs adding to the speed that had already been augmented by his anticipation. luckily, the castle and stairs were working in his favour. in five minutes, he was pacing in front of the door, thinking of your usual phrase, “I need to be home, I need to be home.”

the room was a perfectly comfortable mixture of your house and his, and it became even more homely when he walked in to find you on the sofa. he knew that now, you were home to each other. he smiled at you as he entered, and sat on the cushion opposite yourself.

“hey,” he mumbled.

you looked up at him. “you’re making this way more awkward than it needs to be,” you giggled.

he laughed, “you’re the one who invited me here!”

“I guess I’ll get straight to the point then,” you said, adjusting your top anxiously. “I think… I think I’ve fallen in love with you, remus.”

“great minds think alike, I guess, because I think I’ve fallen in love with you too,” he spoke quietly, intimately.

“you have?” you sighed in relief and shock.

“it’s hard not to, y/n,” he blushed. “I’ve done it for three years.”

“really? third year? you really do like me at my best and worst,” you smirked, memories of third year flooding your mind.

“well, your hair was awful, and your makeup was going through some stuff, but I guess I’m just more attracted to personalities!” he chuckled.

“gee thanks, love you too.”

Everyone knew that Remus hated who he was. And no, not the bookworm, honestly kind of a mess, always wearing sweaters teenager, but the werewolf that came out once a month. He loathed the beast that came out and tormented not only himself but others without his control. It wasn’t fair to him, and he thought it unfair to everyone he had to inflict it to. He chose to keep himself away from relationships and people who weren’t James, Sirius and Peter, because they chose to be apart of his life and to help him through the chaos.

Then he met you.

It was third year when you crossed paths in the common room. Everyone had gone home for Christmas holidays, except you. Your family was away on holiday and couldn’t bring you along, so you were stuck wandering the halls of Hogwarts during the cold season. You found yourself in the Gryffindor common room, reading by the fire, when you heard the portrait hole open. In tumbled a boy who looked to be in your year, with sand colored hair and green eyes. He had small scars along his face and when he saw you his eyes widened and he became nervous. “I-I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to startle or bother you.”

You shook your head and waved your hand like it was no big deal- which it wasn’t. “You didn’t scare me at all. Come, sit. I’m sure the couch and fireplace are much warmer than standing in the opening,” you patted the seat next to you, “come on. I don’t bite.” He took a couple steps and sat next to you, picking up a book that was on the table. You stared at him for a moment; he seemed so familiar but you couldn’t put a name on him.The two of you sat in silence before you spoke up again. “I’m y/n by the way. Third year.”

“I’m Remus. And I know, I sit a couple rows behind you in transfiguration.”

“Oh! Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“Likewise.”

You went back to reading for a second before huffing, marking your page and closing the cover, and sitting cross-legged on the couch, facing him. You were curious about this boy and why he seemed familiar, yet you were just now learning his name. “Is there somewhere else I know you from?” You finally asked. He quickly looked up and turned to you, a curious expression adorning his normally shy features.

“You might know my friends? We call ourselves the marauders-”

“THAT’S RIGHT! You’re friends with James Potter and Sirius Black aren’t you?”

“Yes, and Peter Pettigrew. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them really.”

“I’m sure that’s not true. I’ve seen your marks in class and you’re clearly a very bright wizard-”

“That’s not exactly what I meant.”

“Then what did you mean?”

“I would prefer not to talk about it.” He stood up and sighed. You frantically grabbed his wrist and looked at him apologetically.

“Hey! I didn’t mean to cross a line. Please don’t leave, I don’t have anyone else here,” you pleaded. He turned back to you and showed you sympathy, sitting back down.

“It’s alright. I don’t have anyone else here either,” he paused for a moment and looked at you, his green eyes seemingly trying to figure you out. “Why are you all alone here on holiday?”

“Well…”

The two of you talked for hours back then. You laughed and joked and realized that you had a lot of similar interests. By the time that the holidays had ended and Hogwarts was beginning to fill up with students again, you and Remus had established a pretty solid friendship. Sure, there were still plenty of things that you didn’t know about the Gryffindor boy, but you didn’t care; you were friends and that’s what mattered to you. However, that put you and Remus in a difficult position- where would you stand with the rest of his friends?

You were chatting happily with Remus and Lily Evans when you heard the quite loud return of the three long awaited marauders. The entire common room turned to see the commotion only to return to their activities just as quickly as they had looked. The three boys laughed and joked, and upon seeing Remus, they raised their arms and wrapped him in a group hug. You stood back and giggled next to Lily, who simply smirked and rolled her eyes. The four boys laughed together before they pulled apart and already struck up a conversation. It wasn’t until their eyes fell on you that you became a little red in the face.

“And who might you be?”

“I’m, uh-”

“This is y/n. We met over break. She’s pretty great and makes for excellent company,” Remus spoke for you. You smiled and thanked him silently. The three marauders looked at each other before poking fun at the fourth.

“Remus has a giiiirlfrieeeeend!” They sang at the same time. The group of you laughed and exchanged memories early into the morning.

You learned about his little… friend… your fourth year.

You had established pretty good friendships with all of the marauders, although the small feelings you developed for Remus never wavered. You enjoyed playing pranks with Sirius and James, feeling at home and safe with the boys within the magnitude that was Hogwarts. You couldn’t have asked for a better family. You protected each other and made sure to be there for one another through thick or thin. That’s why one fateful morning scared you half to death.

You were finishing potions homework for Slughorn on a morning you had off, when James bursted through the portrait hole, breathing heavily with a scared look in his eyes. You yelped at the disturbance he created within the quiet of the common room, when he seemed relieved to see you. “Y/n, we have to go.”

“Why?”

“Just trust me, please, it’s important.”

“James, what’s going on? What on earth could you need at 6:30 am on a Saturday?” You began, standing from you seat.

“It’s Remus. He’s asking for you and he’s in the hospital wing and-” you were out of the common room faster than he could speak. The words ‘Remus’, ‘hospital’, and ‘wing’, were enough to startle you more than you would have liked to admit.

“Well why didn’t you say so?! Come on!”

You beat him to the hospital wing.

There laid Remus, seemingly weak but alive, with Sirius and Peter on one side of him. When he saw you he gave a small smile, and your eyebrows furrowed in worry. He was covered in minor scratches and bruises, and seemed to be very sore, as he was rubbing his shoulders absentmindedly. “Remus… what happened?”

“It’s a long story…”

“Well I’ve got time.”

“I’m afraid that you might not want to be friends with me once you know.”

“Remus just bloody tell me, I’m not going anywhere, especially not when I’m this worried about you.”

“I’m a werewolf.”

“You’re a… a what now?”

“A werewolf. Have been since I was five. I turn into a beast once a month. I am harmful to people. Many of those people hate me. I-I understand if you hate me too.”

“Remus,” you moved to his open side and placed a soft hand on his cheek. “I could never hate you. I honestly wish you had told me sooner.”

“R-Really?”

“Yes. If I had known then I could brew wolfsbane to help keep your transformations a little more tolerable. But I understand why you kept this hidden as well. It isn’t necessarily something to be ‘proud’ of and you wouldn’t know how I’d react.” He nodded silently. “But, I am proud of you for enduring this as long as you have. You are incredibly brave.”

The lot of you stayed by his side throughout most of the day while he recovered, and you felt a small sense of goodness and peace inside you as you knew that Remus would be safe; for now at least.

He asked you to Hogsmead your fifth year.

You were completely caught off guard and honestly a little confused. “Remus, we always go to Hogsmead together. I was just waiting for Lily actually-”

“No, I mean- ah- uh…” he kept cutting himself off.

You furrowed your brows and held his hands in yours. “Remus are you alright? You’re shaking and you’re turning a little red.”

He took a deep breath and looked you in the eyes, smiling a quivering smile. “I mean, will you go with me. Just us. T-Together. O-Only if you want! Ah, geeze this was a mistake.” His hands were shaking harder.

You felt yourself blushing at the sandy haired boy and his attempt to ask you out. You searched his green eyes and gave his hands a squeeze, rubbing the backs of them with your thumbs. “Remus I would love to.”

“R-Really?!” He seemed so excited. You nodded and he let out a short giggle before hugging you tightly. You wrapped your arms around his neck in response before pulling away.

“I really like you Remus. I was wondering when you’d ask me.”

“Well I really like you too. I guess it just took a little courage.”

The two of you were about to leave but you remembered to call behind you, “LILY! I’M HEADING OUT WITH REMUS! DON’T WAIT UP!”

“GOOD! IT’S ABOUT TIME!!”

You blushed and nudged Remus out the portrait hole.

Hogsmead seemed different now that you were here with Remus intentionally. You found yourself suddenly caring about where you were going, although, you would have gone anywhere with Remus. You giggled quietly as he carefully laced his fingers with yours, keeping his head forward even if you could still see how red his cheeks were getting. That’s not to say you weren’t blushing too- because you definitely were.

Things were lighthearted and fun between the both of you; you shared hot chocolate in the Three Broomsticks and attempted to avoid the cheeky looks from your friends. Wandering around the snow covered village was more fun than you would have admitted, mostly just because of Remus being there with you.

The two of you joked and laughed with each other, and ended the day late into the night, back in the common room like the night you met. Your head was on his shoulder and his arm was around you, as you embraced the warm glow of the fire.

“Remus, can you believe that two years of friendship has lead us up to this point? Finally being together. I don’t know it just… fits.”

“Mmm,” he hummed back.

You glanced upward at him, seeing that his eyes were closed and his ears were open, listening to the fire. You could tell after a few moments that his breathing had evened out and he was asleep. You smiled gently and placed a tender kiss on his cheek. You found a throw blanket lying around and draped it over him.  “Goodnight Remus.”

You pretended not to see his grin.

Your parents heard about your relationship your sixth year.

Needless to say, they weren’t very happy. Your owl had come in through a window in Gryffindor Tower and found you in your dorm during a short break between classes. You instantly recognized the red paper that landed in your lap and you sighed deeply. Why now? You opened the letter carefully and braced yourself.

“Y/N L/N!! HOW DARE YOU! A WEREWOLF OF ALL CREATURES!! YOU HAD ONE JOB: GO TO SCHOOL, BECOME AN INCREDIBLE WITCH, AND LIVE YOUR LIFE IN WIZARD SOCIETY. NOT DATE AROUND AND RUIN OUR FAMILY’S REPUTATION! I REQUEST THAT YOU LEAVE THAT-THAT BEAST AT ONCE. HE IS A MONSTER TO ALL CIVILIZATION. IT’S A WONDER WHY HIS PARENTS DIDN’T ABANDON HIM WHEN HE WAS YOUNG. HIDEOUS AND HEINOUS THING THAT IS. I EXPECT A REPLY THAT YOU’VE DONE WHAT I ASKED WITHIN THE WEEK. END OF STORY.” As the howler ended it’s message you sat stunned and almost near tears.

This wasn’t how they were supposed to find out about Remus. It wasn’t fair anyway- he was more than “just a werewolf”. He was kind, gentle, and the day he hurt you would be the day you were old, grey, and burying him after a long and happy life together. You sighed and gathered your things, heading to your next class. Despite the lecture from your professor, your parent’s words still stuck in your mind.

Remus was waiting for you during dinner and instantly noticed that something was wrong. He placed a kiss on your temple as you sat down. “Love? Are you alright?”

You gave a short nod and picked food for your plate. Remus was still clearly worried, but didn’t push it, still joking around with the rest of his friends. You stared at your dinner, not hungry and as you left the Great Hall, you pulled Remus aside.

“My parents know.”

“Know about what?”

“Us. Our relationship… you.”

“Oh! Oh…”

“Remus I- They want me to breakup with you.”

“I see. So they know about the…” he trailed himself off.

“Yeah. That’s why they want me to end it.”

“But, but that’s not fair. They can’t dictate our relationship.”

“I know I know.”

“You’re not going to leave me… are you?” His eyes were full of worry and fear. You hugged him tightly and you felt his fingers in your hair.

You nuzzled your nose into his chest. “Never Remus. Merlin I could never bring myself to do something like that. I love you too much.”

“Y-You love me?”

“Yes. I love you more than anything.”

“I love you too. Goodness y/n I don’t think I could love another person more than you.”

“As sweet and wonderful as this moment is, I still have a problem. What am I gonna do about my parents?”

“Tell them the truth. They deserve to know it even if they don’t like it.”

“Remus, they’ll disown me.”

“Then I’ll be your family. All of us, James, Sirius, Peter, Lily, Marlene, and anyone else at Hogwarts. We’ll be your family. We always have been, and we always will be.”

You felt tears well up in your eyes as you hugged him tightly. You really couldn’t love another person more than him.

Sixth was your current year, and you began to notice a lot more insecurity within Remus, although he wouldn’t let it show. He began to brush you off after a full moon and you would notice him muttering to himself as he, what you guessed, was reprimanding himself. He would disappear during most evenings. He was thinking he claimed. One night you caught him right before he left, and you asked him to sit with you by the fire. He fidgeted with his hands as he stared into the flames. You carefully placed your own on top of his. You looked at him gently.

“Remus, is everything alright?”

“Y-Yes. Everything is fine y/n.”

“You know I don’t believe you.”

“I know.”

“So, care to share what’s going on?”

“Why are you with me?”

“I’m sorry?”

“Why are we together? Why are you with me?”

“Because Remus, I love you. You’re kind and gentle with everything that moves, and you love your friends more than anything. Why wouldn’t I want to be with you?”

“I’m a monster y/n. I am a monster who should hide and be taken away from all society. I’ve been angry with myself because I hate that I have to inflict this on you, someone who I care so deeply for. I’m always worrying you and I feel like you’re walking on glass around me all the time. I hate that, even if I haven’t physically hurt you, I’ve still caused a strain in our relationship and made things different. If I weren’t like-like, this then maybe things would be different. Maybe if-”

“Remus. I’m not asking for maybes. I’m not asking for things or you to be different either. I love how things are. I worry because I love you. You should be concerned if I stopped worrying about you suddenly. I love getting to help and take care of you Remus. Just because you’re different doesn’t mean that you are different. You’re still a person, and you’re still Remus John Lupin. Let us all be unique together until we realize we are all the same. We all have differences that make us individuals, but at the end of the day, we’re all people, and you’re still a person. Werewolf or not. Don’t ever doubt that. No matter what.”

He looked at you for a moment and you were worried that you made no sense, until he took your face in his hands and kissed you slowly. It was as soft as he was, and you found yourself smiling into it. As he pulled away from you, he rested his forehead on yours. “I love you. Thank you for everything y/n. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

“Please Remus. It’s me who should be thanking you.”

“Why?”

You kissed his nose. “For staying with me that night. I don’t think we’d be where we are if you hadn’t have stayed. What made you do that?”

“I thought you were cute. And I just knew that no matter what happened, we would become friends.”

“Well, thanks for taking a chance on me.”

“And thank you for sticking around.”

“Come on Moony, it’s late and I don’t want you hating on yourself so late at night. Why don’t we cuddle instead and just fall asleep?”

“I like that so much more.”

Just as the both of you were heading up to his dorm, he pulled on your arm to stop you. “Hey, y/n? Maybe we should just, stay here. Like old times?”

“I’d love that Remus.”

The two of you went back to the couch and wrapped a throw blanket over your shoulders. You leaned your back into his chest and closed your eyes, letting sleep and your memories overtake you early into the morning.

Black Clover EP#05 - The Path to the Wizard King: The entrance exam finally comes to a close. The time has arrives for the captains to decide which candidates they want to join their squads.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans Season 2 EP#11 (36) - Stained Wings: The Mobile Armor Hashmal awakens from its 300-year slumber and lays waste to Iok's Mobile Suit platoon. Tekkadan and McGillis retreat from the mining plant, while Iok is forced by his comrades to fall back as well. McGillis reveals that the Hashmal destroyed the nearby fuel depot and Gjallarhorn's third ground base to resupply, as the Plumas that accompany the Mobile Armor are not equipped with Ahab Reactors, warning that the Hashmal spawns multiple Plumas to refuel and repair it. They must act fast to trap and destroy the Mobile Armor, as it will set a course for Chryse and wipe out the city's population. Despite warnings from Mikazuki and Hush of the Hashmal's arrival, Kudelia and Atra refuse to evacuate. As Tekkadan prepare to corner the Hashmal in a gorge, it changes its course toward the public agricultural plant after being fired upon by Iok. Akihiro's unit scrambles to defend the plant, but the Hashmal wipes out a portion of the plant with its beam cannon. Mikazuki arrives in the Barbatos Lupus to save Ride from the Pluma swarm before setting his sights on the Mobile Armor. Meanwhile, Julieta finds and rescues Iok while McGillis and Isurugi are confronted by the Gundam Vidar.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders EP#20 - Death 13, Part 2: Kakyoin's suspicions are confirmed after he witnesses Mannish Boy skillfully killing a scorpion that had crept into his basket, but the baby manages to hide the evidence so that the others do not believe him. After failing to convince everyone with the message on his arm, Kakyoin attempts to attack Mannish Boy, but he is knocked out by Polnareff, who believes he has gone insane. Upon falling asleep, Jotaro, Joseph, and Polnareff end up in the dream amusement park, which Polnareff remembers, and where they are all subjected to the whims of Death 13. Fortunately for them, Kakyoin, who had summoned Heirophant Green before he was knocked out, is able to bring him into the dream world to fight against Death 13. Mannish Boy attempts to use the dream world to his advantage and slice Heirophant Green in half, but Kakyoin manages to instead send his Stand into Death 13's ear, forcing Mannish Boy to heal his wounds and accept defeat. The next morning, as everyone else forgets what happened in the dream, Kakyoin decides to spare Mannish Boy and leave him in a nearby town, making sure that he does not dare try anything again by mixing the child's feces into his food that Joseph later feeds him. As the group crosses the Red Sea, Joseph makes a detour towards an island to meet someone important.

Lupin the 3rd EP#25 - World Dissection, Part 1: Leonardo is ready to create his greatest masterpiece, the Armonia del Mondo (World's Harmony), and uses a futuristic device to entrap all the Italians inside the Sogno Italiano, replicating at the same time his consciousness in the mind of every inhabitant of Italy. Inside this dream, he defies every italian to beat him in the thing he's most versed: if the challenger prevails, he'll be able to wake up, or otherwise his/her consciousness will be "reprogrammed" based on Leonardo's one, with the final objective to create a nation of genies with the necessary knowledge to create a new world. Lupin, Jigen, Goemon, Nyx and Zenigata manage to defeat Leonardo, but when he arrives in San Marino Lupin discovers that all the other Italians, starting from Rebecca, have instead failed, and soon they'll reawaken with new personalities. Lupin then uses Leonardo's device to replicate even his own consciousness inside Rebecca's mind, where Lupin and Leonardo fight for control.

Hunter x Hunter: The Chimera Ant Arc EP#79 - No × Good × NGL: Upholding their policy of not allowing any kind of manufactured or artificial material inside their borders, the NGL only allows Kite, Gon, Killua and two other members of their party to enter their country, with the rest forced to stand by and await their return. Meanwhile, the second team of Hunters is attacked by the Chimera Ants, whose human DNA triggers in them a sense of individuality that brings conflict among their ranks.

Outlaw Star EP#17 - Between Life and Machine: An unknown client, later found out as Ron MacDougall, contacts the crew of the Outlaw star and asks Gene to meet him at a restaurant to discuss about the Galactic Leyline with its ties to the Outlaw Star and Melfina. Outside the restaurant, Gene, along with Jim, Aisha, and Suzuka are faced against Ron and his dog-like weapons. Meanwhile, Harry attempts to seduce Melfina and steal the Outlaw Star, but to no success.

Cowboy Bebop EP#15 - My Funny Valentine: Faye ends up meeting an important man from her past, and part of her origin is revealed, including the source of her massive debt.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig EP#09 (35) - DU: The Hope Named Despair – AMBIVALENCE: After the failed attempt to bring the ex-GSDA officer in for questioning, Kusanagi decides to hack into the Cabinet Intelligence Agency database to directly determine what Goda is up to. With the help of Tachikomas, who mount an assault on the building's defense barriers, Kusanagi hacks into the Cabinet Intelligence Agency Server Decatonchire to uncover Goda's motives. During her subsequent meeting with Goda, she learns that he once had ambitions to be counted among the powerful, but has since resigned himself to never having that position. He aims to create a new hero for the masses, someone whom they can identify with beyond simply knowing that person's face or name. Goda expects this person to take command of the situation he is currently creating and bring about some type of conflict which he believes will benefit Japan in the long run by returning the country to its former glory. Elsewhere, Batou, Borma, and Togusa are out to stop a suicide bomber, but so far have only been playing catchup, until Batou trusts a hunch and has the Chief check out the local surveillance systems for people thought to be the bombers. His hunch pays off, as the images of the bombers reveal all of them to be refugees, prompting Aramaki to issue warnings to all police districts in the city to watch for refugees acting suspiciously. One such refugee turns up at a subway station claiming she has a bomb. Batou and Togusa arrive to find the woman surrounded by SAT officers. Togusa has nearly convinced her to surrender when Batou arrives and forcefully subdues the woman by shooting her. It is revealed that the bomb is in her stomach, linked to a trigger inside an artificial tooth, and she is taken to a medical center to have the bomb surgically removed.

Chapter 5: Third Year

You were sitting on the train with Draco; everyone else seemed to have disappeared into a different compartment. You wondered why none of them ever seemed to follow him here on the way to school. Maybe they lost him in the crowd and didn't bother searching for him; maybe he told them to leave him alone. Maybe they thought that he didn't travel on the train. He had pretty much stayed silent for the whole ride, while you drew a picture of the scenery outside, both of you tired. Tundra was curled up in Draco's arms asleep, and he was stroking his soft fur absentmindedly. Then everything went cold and dark, and you started to shiver and feel sad, remembering how you felt when you had to move away from Mirkwood. You let out a little shriek when you saw strange creatures outside the compartment. Dementors. Those things scared the life out of you. You felt someone move beside you and grab your hand, and you froze in shock, until a familiar fluffy bundle leaped onto your lap and you realized that Draco had sat down by you and slipped his hand into yours. When the lights turned back on, he moved back to his seat, leaving Tundra on your lap.

When you were in Hagrid's Care of Magical Creatures class, you knew that something bad was just waiting to happen when Draco started acting his usual, unlikable self in class. You were not surprised, or sympathetic in the least, when he got attacked by Buckbeak. You didn't visit him in the hospital wing, since you knew he was up to his usual dramatics, and you refused to speak with him until it all died down. Just as he refused to listen to you telling him that he should forget his complaint with Buckbeak. It was a minor disagreement that you two had, and it was definitely blown out of proportion.

When it came to your Boggart in Professor Lupin's Defense Against the Dark Arts class, you weren't very excited about it to say the least. You didn't know what it would come out as, and that was what you were scared off. When it did come out, it was the image of a Dementor, and you felt your face drain of color. You shouted the spell, and the Dementor supposedly turned into something ridiculous, but you weren't there to see it. You had walked out of the class.

Afterwards, you were found by Professor Lupin, who had somehow known that you would be at the Lake. He sat down beside you and gave you a friendly smile.

"You like it here?" He asked, and you nodded. "I used to come here all the time when I was in Hogwarts."

"What house were you in?" You asked curiously.

"Gryffindor," he replied, a hint of pride in his voice.

"Oh," you say. "That makes sense."

"Anyway," he continued, changing the subject, probably realized that it wasn't that intelligent of him to tell a Slytherin student that he was a very proud Gryffindor student... "I came to talk to you. One of the other students told me where I might find you."

"Draco." You confirmed.

"Yes," he answered. "Funny thing that boy, so much like his father, but so different too. Anyway, I would like to talk to you about why you walked out of my class."

"Go ahead," you sigh. "Take as many points as you can off Slytherin. It's only natural for you to want to, being a Gryffindor and all."

"I'm actually not going to take any points off you. I was expecting at least one student to walk out of the class." You sighed. "Why did you walk out? Honestly."

"I was embarrassed," you murmured, your cheeks heating up. "Everyone else's fear is so mundane, spiders, moths, blood, but mine is a silly Dementor..." you frown up at him.

"Nobody's fear is stupid," Professor Lupin answered. "And do you know what it did as soon as you left the room?"

"What?" You asked glumly.

"It turned into a butterfly, it was a funny sight." Professor Lupin smiled. "At least you didn't pass out."

"Pass out?" You repeated. "Who passed out?"

Professor Lupin hesitated. "Harry Potter," he said at last. "Harry had the same fear as you, and he passed out because his past is so bad." He stood up and brushed himself down.

"Why did you tell me that?" You called out to him. "How do you know that I won't use it against Potter?"

"Because I know that you aren't like the other Slytherins." He answered. "I'll excuse you from Herbology, but I expect that you go to your next class, no excuses."

You are working on finishing your drawing of the lake in the library when Pansy walks up and sits down next to you.

"That's really good." She says looking down at your drawing. "Oh, and congratulations on making the Quidditch team, you deserved it."

"Um, thanks Pansy." You reply, wondering if this was one of her tricks. After all, her congratulations were a year late.

"I'm sorry for being mean to you, I was just jealous because you are such good friends with Draco and your talent on the field."

"Sorry? I didn't think you were capable of that word." And I don't want to be your friend, you think.

"Yeah, well apparently I am. Friends?"

"Yeah, whatever." You reply, wanting to return to your drawing. You know she just wanted to get closer to Draco anyway she could, you had seen the way she stared at him every class and always went out of her way to be around him. Not that you cared.

"Want to come to Hogsmeade with me next weekend?" Draco asked you, as you were doing your homework in the Slytherin Common Room.

"I went with you last weekend, didn't I? And I already said that I wanted to go when Blaise asked me." You looked up at him, deciding to delay your Potions essay.

"Blaise asked you if you wanted to go to Hogsmeade with him? And you said yes? You do know he's just being nice to you because he wants you to sleep with him, right?" he stares at you incredulously.

"Yes, I know." You did know this, but it wasn't like the outing was a date or anything, Draco needed to back off.

"And besides, I mean do you want to come to Hogsmeade with me, without the others." Draco rephrased, shaking his mop of blonde hair at you.

"Oh." You paused to think about it. "Okay, sure. I'll meet you at the Three Broomsticks after lunch then." And Draco walked up to the boy's dorms while you finished your homework.

"You're not going home for Christmas this year?" Draco asked you, noticing that you had no bags with you. You shook your head.

"Not this year. My parents are in America for a month, and they are leaving me here. I heard that the Christmases here are supposed to be okay though. Where are you going? Somewhere fancy, or staying at home?"

"I'm going to be at my uncle's house in Wales, if you want I can write to my dad and tell him that I'm not coming home-"

"No Draco," you smile. "Be with your family. I'll be fine; I'll have the Christmas Tree for company." You joke.

"But what about Sirius Black..."

"Draco, I don't think that a murderer is going to get me. It's the Gryffindors that he wants. I'll be fine, now go. Besides, since when have you cared if I was going to be murdered? In fact, since when have you worried about me at all?" He really needed to relax. You weren't sure if he was trying to be protective or something else, but he needed to back off. You could take care of yourself.

"Since you became the second best player on the Quidditch team." He smirked, "But if you're sure..." he said. You just rolled your eyes and nodded.

"I'm sure. And there is no way you are a better Quidditch player than me." You took something out of your pocket and place it into his hands. It was an ornamental golden snitch since Draco was Seeker for the Slytherin team. "Merry Christmas, Draco." You had a feeling that Draco didn't really want to go and see his family at all...

Christmas was over, but at that point you would have been happy to have some homework. You think as you sit staring into the fire.

"Hey Y/N." Draco Malfoy leans over the back of your chair and you look up in surprise. "Here," He handed you a small, weirdly shaped item. "It's a snow-globe of the Lake," he supplied. "I got it made for you over Christmas, since you got me a present and all." You looked at him, astonished.

"It's lovely," you said truthfully. "You've good taste Draco, and it's good to see you."

"I know," he answered. "Now, somebody told me that you had a stash of chocolate frogs that you were looking to share..."

Tell your stupid cat to stop jumping on me!" Draco pushed Tundra down off his lap for the third time.

"He wants you to pet him." You reply without even looking up from your book.

"Well I'm trying to study." Malfoy frowned at Tundra who in turn meowed up at him indignantly.

You and Draco were studying for a quiz that Professor Flitwick was giving tomorrow in Charms. It was almost midnight and you and he were the only ones left in the common room, both of you curled up in comfortable chairs, notes, quills, inkpots, and books strewn haphazardly across the coffee table in between you, candles lighting the dark dungeon. Pansy, Crabbe, Goyle, and Blaise, who had all been studying with you earlier that evening, had all gone to bed. Draco yawned, but turned a page in his Charms textbook. You were really tired, but you had to stay awake. You still had five more chapters to read..... 

You shake yourself out of your stupor and return to reading. Now where were you? Oh yes, the happiness charm.... You were almost completely asleep, eyes closed, drifting in and out of dream and reality when you heard Malfoy get up from his chair, walk to the other side of the room to get something, then walk back around the coffee table to where you lay asleep. You didn't want to wake up, so you stayed curled up in your armchair, eyes closed as his footsteps neared.

He slipped a blanket over you and placed a warm hand on your shoulder, whispering, "Goodnight Y/N." Before blowing out the candles on the table and heading towards the boys' dormitories. You snuggled comfortably warm under the blanket, wondering why he had bothered. In no time at all you were fast asleep.

Platform 9 and ¾ was a busy place. Parents and children were reuniting after the long school year, and friends were bidding goodbye to each other for the summer. You yourself were keeping a lookout for your own family from your perch on a bench. You had ridden on the train with Molly, Mary Beth, and Emma and you had promised to keep in touch with each other over the summer. Some of your classmates however, you were glad to be rid of. Like Pansy, Crabbe, Goyle, and.... Speak of the devil. Draco Malfoy sat down next to you, Crabbe and Goyle flanking him like bodyguards.

"Hello Malfoy." You say nonchalantly, scooting over to make room for his eagle owl. "Hello L/N." He smirked at you, "Doing anything fun this summer?" 

"No, I'm just staying home." This was a lie. You were going to Mirkwood in June to visit your mother's family, but there was no way you were telling him of all people you were half Elf.

Get A Witch Or Wizard Card

This is for finding a hidden chamber on the 4th floor. When you enter the fourth floor corridor, there is a crystil ball. Light the ball with Ron’s Lumos Duo. A beam of light will be emitted from the ball, hitting the eye on the opposing corridor. this will open a secret chamber contaning a card!

Quidditch Ball Case

After your Third Potions Class, Ron will overhear Draco Malfoy and a Slytherin Prefect. They say they switched the regular Quidditch balls with jinxed ones. So if you don’t find the Quidditch Ball Case in time, Slytherin will win the Quidditch Cup! So walk out to the Grounds, and you’ll see the Ball Case behind the Clock Tower. As Hermione, use Buckbeak to fly into the Courtyard behind the Clock Tower. Fast – because you’re being timed. Then, when you’re in, use Glacious to Freeze the puddle of Water, and you’ll turn it into an Ice Cube which you can Climb on. Climb again onto the next block and you’ll face a Dragon Statue. Use the Draconifors spell and the statue will turn into a live dragon, and use it’s fire to burn the rope which the Quidditch Ball Case was hanging from. Run down to get it. Then, quickly fly on Buckbeak again to the Quidditch Pitch Doors. Enter the Doors as Hermione and there will be a cut-scene that says that Gryffindor has won the Quidditch Cup!

When you see a bookshelf like the one in the north wing or the one on the 4th floor. Go to one and as you can see the shelf is divided into somewhat like sections. Play as Ron and go to each section and press the A button. Ron will search the shelf for things. You could find potions and beans there. Thats an easy way to get lots of beans. Oh, and when you see a colomn with a vase on it, cast flipendo at it and a bean will pop out. And you could find cards and pages of the book lupin gave you in the trunks of Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Go up to their dormitories and their trunks should have their initial on it, when you reach Harry trunk, play as Harry and go up to the trunk and press the A button. Do that with each character and their trunks, you could find pages of the Folio thing and cards.

Glacious Monster

On the Glacious Challenge, you must defeat one last monster before you return back to class. As Hermione, you must First fire Flipendo at the Monster. When it turns it back, keep firing Flipendo. Then, it will turn around, face you, and open it’s oven a.k.a. mouth full over fire. Quickly use Glacious until it closes it’s oven. Then, it will look as if it’s going to explode, but instead, its torch a.k.a. arm will come soaring at you like a torpedo. Dodge it, and use Glacious on the torch. If you don’t, the monster will get it back. Repeat until you Defeat.

Rememberall

After you have turned in the Prefect Badge, the Notice Board in the Gryffindor Common Room will then have a note for a missing Rememberall. To find it, go through the doors to Hogwarts Grounds and go across the bridge. There will be a large circle with different sized Stones around it. Near it, you can find the Rememberall. Return it to the Notice Board in the Gryffindor Common Room to earn 10 house points.

Dementors

This is how you can defeat the Dementors at the lake. Use short bursts to clear a path across the lake. Alternating between X and A. When the way is clear hold down X (or Y depending on where your Patronus is) until the spell builds up. Don’t let go because when its fully charged the spell will release on its own. Now use A to get your Patronus to charge across the lake into the Dementor attacking Sirius. It will take about four charges to defeat him.

Carpe Retractum Monster

There is one last monster you have to defeat on the Carpe Retractum Challenge before you go back to class. The “Knight” will spin around trying to attack, and Flipendo is useless currently for it is guarded with many large shields. So as Harry, use Carpe Retractum to take off a shield when it has stopped spinning, and you’ll find out that the shield itself is a monster. So just keep firing Flipendo at the shield-like-monster. Then, the it will get up on two feet at roar. Quickly use Flipendo at the the Green Spot on it’s stomach to defeat the shield-like-monster. However, the Knight has more shields, and you have to repeat the same process until it has no more Shields left. Once there are no more shields left, you can fire Flipendo at the Knight until there’s a cut-scene where the Knight gets alot of Swords. When the Knight is spinning around very fast with the Swords, use Carpe Retractum to take his head off. Congrats, You have Just defeated the Knight!

Buckbeak

When you unlock Buckbeak, get on him and fly around. You can land in places you can’t normally walk to.

Getting Fairy Wings

Have Hermione repair the dragon statue with Reparo. Then, shoot Draconifors at it to light the bush in which the fairies are hiding in. The fairies will get mad and attack you. Then, have Hermione shoot them with Flipendo then use Glacius on them while they are on the ground.

Character Special Abilities

Each character (Harry, Ron, and Hermione) has a special ability. Use Ron to find hidden passages. Use Harry to jump long gaps. Use Hermione to crawl under small spaces. This is useful when getting spellbooks or escaping Trolls and Prefects.

Unlocking The Locked Door And Chest

In order to unlock the locked door on the Sixth Floor and the locked chest in the Muggle Studies area, you have to find and return all of the lost objects from the notice board in the Gryffindor common room, until you find the key. It is located behind the statue on the First Floor. You can now open the door and chest using the lost key.

Hidden Collectors Cards

Using Hermione, go to every fireplace around the school, including the Gryffindor common room fireplace, and use the Glacius spell on them. By doing this, a Famous Witches or Wizards card will appear. Also using Hermione, purchase the Snufflifores Spellbook at Fred and Georges shop for 50 Beans. Using this spell, you can turn flying books into mice, which will run away into a mouse hole located within that room. When the mouse enters the hole, either a rare card or Bertie Bott’s Beans will appear.

Easy Beans

You can get lots of beans and Wiggenweild Potions in Fred and Georges bathroom. Play as Ron and go to the back room. Go up to the robes and press A for both sides. Beans and sometimes Wiggenweild Potions will appear. Go through the secret wall, then go back to Fred and Georges. Go to the robes and do the same thing. Keep going back and forth and you will have plenty of beans. Also when using Harry, Hermione, or Ron, fire your attacking spell at a bush. A bean will appear. Continue to do this as many times as desired.
