Brunch today -Mixed veg sambar,snakegourd curry with roasted and powdered gram dal, homegrown tomato 🍅, curd and black rice. (Recipes for the dishes found in Padhuskitchen.com Many of you keep asking me how I cook these rice varieties. It is the same way as cooking white rice but you need to soak these rice in hot water (preferably boiling water) for 3-4 hours. As soon as I get up in the morning, my first work in the kitchen is to soak dal and rice in boiling water. Wash rice well. For 1 cup of rice, add 3 cups of hot water and let it soak for 3-4 hours. Then cook with the same water. You can pressure cook or cook in a pot with lid. Hope this helps. Sunday lunch - Bisibelebath using MTR Bisibelebath Powder. Usually I make BBB using my homemade B3 powder which comes out super tasty. For a change, today I tried it using store bought Bisibelebath Powder (10rs packet 😉) following the instructions in the pack. Topped with ghee and fried appalam as side, it tasted pretty good 😊👌.
