Jesse never considered himself stupid, although sometimes he probably was, for example, when it came to anything that includes redstone. Still, the boy was almost sure that the explicit hints of his friends should've been a sufficient reason to reflect on their intentions.

    «Hey, shorty, are you stuck there or what?» — red-haired girl shouted from the other side of the river, waving at the green-eyed man — «We stole time from your busy schedule for a lovely picnic, not for you to stand on the bridge!»

    «In other words..» — the blondie guy gave her a silly look before returning his gaze to his boyfriend — «You fine over there?»

    Sighing, the Young Hero cheerfully shook his head, smiling — «Yes, I'm doing just great, nothing more than simple memories from good ol' days when your elite flirting was incomprehensible to me.» — giving one last look to the river, Jesse went to catch up with those who he loved most in the world.

    «Your eyes are as green as grass, will you be my pass to the stars?» — Lukas suddenly said, holding paper stars on strings in his one hand, while also holding a ladder with the other. The Star Festival was about to begin in less than two days, so he and Jesse were decorating the main hall in the Order's Temple.

    «Aw, Lukas, what's that? Are you training your romantic skills on me again? Flirt with a pun? That's more Petra's thing, than yours.» — Young Hero grinned, securely fixing the stars on the ceiling while the blond man held the ladder. Didn't they used to say that only close people should be trusted with the ladder you're standing on?

    «It was worth a shot. Be careful with this spot by the way.» — Lukas muttered, slightly blushing and looking away.

    «Do you know what they call charming people who don't understand hints? Like at all?» — Petra asked suddenly, on her way to put up a fence around the flowery alley behind Order's Temple.

    «What they call them?» — green-eyed boy asked with sincere curiosity, looking up from planting flowers.

    «Jesse.»

    «Yeah?»

    «They call them Jesse.»

    «Why Jesse?»

    «You-.. My Notch, nevermind, let's get back to work, shall we? Others soon will be here and we didn't finish even a half.» — the girl sighed, looking as disappointed as possible.

    «Lucas, look over there! An artist has come to Beacontown! I heard of him, he is painting cute couples of his choice VERY good. I love his works.» — the boy waved his way to older man, examining beautiful works, while the owner of the leather jacket came from behind, adoring cute face of his companion.

    «Good afternoon, young people. I'm glad to finally meet our saviors. Name's Michael, do you want me to draw you two?» — the man turned to them, holding a brush in his hands.

    «O-oh, no, no, we're not-» — the brunette blushed, about to refuse, but Lukas interrupted him.

    «Of course, with pleasure, we will be very grateful! He's a fan of your works.» — Lukas cooed enthusiastically, smiling politely and taking the green-eyed man by the hand.

    «Lukas, we're not a couple.» — Jesse whispered softly, stealing a glance at the artist as he prepared to begin work.

    «We can become one.» — the blond man casually threw, sitting down at the place of posing with the brunette.

    «For the sake of one painting?» — the Hero muttered in surprise.

    «For the sake of one painting.»

    «Petra, this festival is simply amazing! How did you find out about it?» — Jesse asked, looking at the village with sparks in his eyes.

    «Gabriel told me. He travels a lot, after all.» — the red-haired woman said lazily, throwing funny glances at the Hero from time to time.

    «I'm sorry, young people! Don't you want flowers? We have special discount for couples today!» — said the woman behind the counter with large bouquets, loudly enough to attract the attention of the duo.

    «Yeah, sure, why not? A bunch of orchids, please, for my boyfriend over here.» — Petra winked, grabbing the brunette by the hand and dragging him to the little flower counter.

    Jesse could feel his face burning — «Petra, we're not-» —but again the poor guy was interrupted.

    «Although, you know, add more roses there. They will go well with his green eyes.» — she smiled mischievously.

    «You know, Jesse,» — blond man murmured lazily, resting his head on his friend's shoulder.

    «Mhm?» — brunette growled questioningly, flipping through a new draft of Lukas' book.

    «For someone so great, you're pretty dumb. Pretty AND dumb.» — the blue-eyed man suddenly said.

    «Heck yeah, he is,» — Petra added, putting her arm around the boy's shoulders — «unimaginably stupid and charming.»

    «I- um, did I do something wrong?»— the Hero muttered, feeling his pulse quicken. Could he have forgotten about something? Didn't he pay enough attention to them? Did he say something offensive? Maybe it was that one time-

    Sighing, the redhead hugged Jesse closer to her — «We like you, Jesse. A lot. Both of us do. And it would be nice to give you a chance of choice and all that sort of things, but you know you don't have one, deal with it.»

    «I would say it differently, but she got the point across. We care about you a lot and wonder if you feel the same way?» — Lukas raised his penetrating blue gaze to Jesse.

    «Oh.. oh, uh, I'm.. I mean-» — the boy began to get confused in his own words and thoughts, feeling the redness reach the tips of his ears.

    «Take your time, shorty, otherwise you'll explode like that.» — the redhead said, laughing heartily at her own joke. The blond man only silently spread soothing circles with his thumb on his friend's hand.

    «Oh my Notch..» — Jesse really felt like he was going to explode.

    «Yeah, you couldn't come to your senses that day for a long time!» — Petra exclaimed, spreading a blanket in the clearing so that they could get settled.

    «Your reaction was very sweet, although funny.» — Lukas added, taking out the groceries they had brought with them from the basket.

    «You guys could've been just a little bit more obvious with your hints.» — Jesse chuckled, falling wearily onto the grass, — «But, you know? I'm glad things turned out that way. I really am.»
