A bus ride, what can go wrong?
Word count 748
Tumblr media
         Bus ride.
The bus engine purrs, clocking mile after mile. Passengers from the depot now firmly planted as they await their destination. Luggage stored in the allotted compartments, backpacks and handbags ride with their owners.
Several stops as new passengers alight and find a seat, some depart, mostly though they stay, they are here for the long haul.
Thinking herself fortunate she has a window seat plus the adjoining seat is vacant.
The seats are being occupied with each stop, fingers crossed the seat next to her remains unoccupied.
With her head in book, she barely notices the bus  stop, and that passengers walk the aisle looking for an available seat.
Glancing up she notices a very well dressed guy, looking for a seat.
Please no! No! He is looking at the seat next to her. Not making eye contact, she avoids his gaze.
Any other seat please!
"Is this seat taken?"
"No"
The man then claims the seat, making himself as comfortable as one can on a bus.
Returning to her book, the story is building and the pages turn, one after another.
Shuffling and moving constantly. The man wriggles and squirms.
'Not an avid bus traveler' she assumes. His clothing alone speaks he has means to afford other modes of transportation.
"My vehicle broke down" he offers.
Giving him a wry smile, "sorry  to hear that".
"I'm Donghae"
"Nice to meet you"
Noticing her non reciprocal introduction, "and you are?".
"Look I don't mean to be rude, but I just want to read my book".
Showing him her hardcover of Fairytale by Stephen King.
"My apologies, please continue reading your book".
Totally absorbed with the story unfolding, the passage of time escapes her.
"Do you like dogs?"
Concentration disrupted, giving a sideways glance to the source.
"Yes"
"A fellow dog lover" he replies with a beaming smile.
"These are my babies" he states proudly as he shows photo after photo after photo.
"They are adorable," she admits.
Pages of  her book turn, the wheels of the bus amass mile after mile.  The driver alerts the passengers they will be stopping in ten minutes, bathrooms are available and food for those inclined.
"I'm starving" Donghae tells her "care to join me ?".
"Yes that would be nice, thank you".
Seated in the quaint diner, menu in hand they order. Donghae offers conversation topics that keep them chatting till the food arrives. Not realizing how hungry she actually was till she began eating her meal.
Donghae's meal was large in comparison to hers, he digs in with gusto. "I will regret this later," he laughs.
The bus driver alerts his passengers that they will be departing in ten minutes.
Wheels turn, the engine hums, the passengers all lost in their own individual train of thought.
"Do you play Tennis?" Donghae enquired, "not for a very long time" she answers.
"We should play sometime".
Looking  at him, she just smiles.
Like we are going to see each other again once we exit this ride.
The print on the page slowly blurs, eyelids heavy they reluctantly close.
Awoken by the screech of brakes, her body jerked back and forth.
The bus rolls and keeps rolling.
Feeling like she is in a clothes dryer, she tumbles and rolls in unison with the bus.
Finally the bus comes to a halt, she tries to move, realizing with dread she is pinned under a seat.
Terror takes hold and her body shakes, the threat now is shock.
"Speak to me! Are you hurt? Are you okay?" Donghae asks urgently.
Sobbing, "I can't move!".
Donghae takes stock of the situation.
Speaking calmly to the distressed frightened woman, "I will be right back".
Donghae checks on his fellow passengers, helping some off  the bus carcass, organizing others to help those in need.
The unconscious driver is taken off the bus, passengers busily call the emergency services requesting immediate help.
The shaken and injured mostly cuts and bruises, help those whose injuries are more dire.
"Gas, I smell gas!" One panicked passenger screams.
Mayhem ensues, Donghae once more takes control, telling them to move back.
All the passengers are safely off the bus bar one.
Donghae runs onto the bus, he notices she is unconscious.
With time of the essence, the gasoline dripping, he prises the seat from the unconscious woman.
Gently he picks her up and carries her off the bus safely in his arms.

“DUFRESNE PRAISES MONTREAL POLICE,” Montreal Star. November 8, 1932. Page 3 & 11. --- Director Willing to Compare Local Force With Any Other ---- The new police radio service will not be inaugurated before the end of the week more likely the beginning of next week, Director Fernand Dufresne stated this morning. He is glad to be back in the harness again after his trip to Rome, and is quite well satisfied with the way in which the police force has operated during his absence and the condition in which he finds on his return.
His trip to Europe has filled him with a greater appreciation than ever of his home town and a full measure of pride in the police force over which he presides, If he is given the more commodious quarters that he has asked for, he is prepared to contend that Montreal's police force will stand comparison with any organization of its kind on this continent.
ATTENDED FUNCTIONS During his stay in Rome, in addition to the sessions of the international convention of police heads which he went there to attend, he and his fellow delegates took part in a number of ceremonial functions, principal among which were the laying of wreaths on the tomb of the unknown Italian soldier and the commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the Inauguration of the Metropolitan Police in Italy. Dr. Brendt, head of the Austrian police, laid a wreath on the military tomb in the name of the police officers in convention.
During the gathering, at the instigation of the American delegation, a resolution was passed appointing a committee to meet representatives of the American Association of Police Chiefs, with a view to fostering closer co-operation between American and European police authorities and the maintenance of a fuller documentation regarding international criminals.
It was not entirely a pleasure trip, the chief said. “First, there is the long sea voyage. I am a good sailor. I do not get sick. But there is not much to do on board ship. Then the long train journey. I prefer our trains to those in Europe. And arrived in Rome, a week of hard work at the convention sessions and attending official function which are sometimes hard work, too."
LUGGAGE LOST To make matters less agreeable, the chief's luggage got lost and he found himself handicapped by the lack of his principal trunk during his first few days in Rome. Fortunately, he arrived there a few days ahead of time and the trunk turned up before the convention had gone very far. Meantime, however, he had had to buy a lot of new clothes to carry on with until the baggage came to light.
He did not go sight-seeing. He had no time. All his time while in Rome was taken up with the convention and he had little leisure for pleasure seeking. Everyone was very cordial and courteous, the authorities at Rome and his 'fellow delegates to the convention, who came from all parts of Europe as well as from Canada and the United States. Practically all the European delegates were Government officials, as in most European countries the police force is a Government organisation under control of an officer of the Government.
GLAD TO BE HOME "I am glad to be back home and I appreciate Montreal more than ever,” he concluded. "And I think very highly of the organisation of our Montreal police force, an organisation which I do not take any credit for. It was set up by others long before. If I can get the building that I want for Montreal force, it will stand comparison with any force of any kind anywhere on this continent," he concluded. The chief was downtown bright and early this morning, renewing contact with the business of the police force. Later in the forenoon, he crossed to the City Hall and called on the members of the Executive Committee.

ZOOM H5 Review
Overall, H5 appears to be a popular among Zoom Audio Recorders with many positive features, but there are also some areas for improvement based on user experiences. Here’s a summary of the feedback provided:
Tumblr media
The standard X/Y mic that comes with the recorder is very wind and pop sensitive. And the included foam windscreen doesn’t help much. If you decide on this unit, get a fuzzy windscreen. My friend bought the Zoom Audio Recorder model, it fits nicely and makes the recorder look like a smurf. Or Don King. But it does the job, and is a must for pretty much any recording, inside or out.
Positive Points
Ease of Use: Users appreciate the device’s ease of use, especially the large card slot for SD cards, bright and readable readout, and simple operation.
Audio Quality: The device offers excellent dynamic range and sensitivity, producing high-quality recordings compared to its predecessor, the Zoom H1.
Versatility: I personally find the Zoom H5 versatile due to its various attachment options, such as XLR jacks and shotgun mic, making it suitable for different recording needs.
Portability: It is praised for being a portable and durable recording device, suitable for various recording environments.
Value for Money: Many users find it to be a good value for the features it offers, especially considering its affordability compared to other options in the market.
Voice activated recording with a retroactive feature so you don’t lose the couple of seconds before the recording started.
Can look like a USB storage device when connected to a computer, so compatible with any operating system. No special drivers needed.
Threaded mount on the back of the unit works with a standard camera tripod.
Lots of customization settings, if you need them, but sensible defaults allow you to be productive right away and learn the details later.
Ruggedly built, with a solid and professional feel. I have taken it on about a dozen business trips by train, car, and plane, and have even stuffed it into checked luggage. It comes with a protective plastic shell case, which is nicely sized to the device and not overly bulky.
Areas for Improvement
Tripod Socket: Some users from amazon complain about the shallow tripod socket, which causes stability issues when attached to tripods. They suggest making the socket deeper or adding a socket nut to improve stability.
Audio Monitoring: People desire for better control over audio monitoring, such as the ability to toggle monitoring only when recording to avoid confusion.
Microphone Quality: While the device comes with built-in microphones, The quality is adequate but not stellar, especially in comparison to higher-end microphones.
Battery Life: It has a good battery life, but some people mention concerns about battery drain, especially when using phantom power or external microphones.
Menu System: Some users find the menu system a bit cumbersome due to the multitude of options, suggesting improvements in organization or user interface design.
Despite these drawbacks, the Zoom H5 Handy Recorder generally receives positive reviews for its performance, versatility, and value for money.
Who Should Buy the Zoom H5
Podcasters and Content Creators – Good for capturing high-quality audio, even on the go.
Interviewers and Journalists – Great for on-site interviews with its portable and flexible setup.
Musicians and Sound Designers – Zoom H5 will Offer multi-track recording and high fidelity, making it perfect for music production and soundscapes.
Filmmakers – Zoom H5 Can be a reliable tool for capturing professional-grade audio on location.
Who Should Not Buy the Zoom H5
Casual Users – Overkill for basic voice recording; simpler devices would suffice.
Budget-Conscious Beginners – If you’re just starting out, more affordable options may meet your needs without the steep learning curve.
People Needing Simplified Operation – The H5’s advanced features and settings can be overwhelming if you prefer a plug and play experience.
Smartphone Users – If you primarily use your smartphone for recording, investing in external smartphone mics will be a better choice
I have discussed about Zoom H6 and Zoom H4N too in my full blog. Click Here to Read the full Article

Car rental in Australia offers unparalleled flexibility and convenience for travelers exploring this vast and diverse country. Whether you’re embarking on a coastal road trip, visiting remote national parks, or navigating bustling city streets, having a rental car allows you to set your own schedule and travel at your own pace. Public transportation can be limited outside major cities, making a rental car the ideal choice for reaching off-the-beaten-path destinations. Additionally, car rental provides comfort and privacy, ensuring you can enjoy your journey without the constraints of fixed schedules and crowded public transport options.
Choosing the Right Car Rental Service in Australia
Selecting the best car rental in Australia involves considering several factors, such as the company’s reputation, the range of vehicles offered, and customer service quality. Research various rental companies, including international brands like Hertz, Avis, and Budget, as well as local providers that may offer competitive rates and personalized service. Look for reviews and ratings to gauge customer satisfaction and reliability. Ensure the company provides clear rental terms, insurance options, and 24/7 customer support. By choosing a reputable car rental service, you can avoid potential issues and enjoy a smooth rental experience.
Types of Vehicles Available for Car Rental in Australia
Car rental in Australia includes a wide variety of vehicles to suit different travel needs and preferences. When selecting a vehicle, consider factors such as the number of passengers, luggage capacity, fuel efficiency, and the type of terrain you’ll be driving on.
Comparing Prices and Deals for Car Rental in Australia
Finding the best deals on car rental in Australia requires comparison shopping. Use online platforms and comparison websites to evaluate prices from different rental companies. By comparing prices and deals, you can find a car rental that fits your budget without compromising on quality.
Understanding Insurance Options for Car Rental in Australia
Insurance is a critical aspect of car rental in Australia. Most rental companies offer basic insurance coverage, but this may come with high deductibles or limited protection. Carry essential documents, such as your driver’s license, rental agreement, and insurance papers, at all times.
Customer Reviews and Feedback on Car Rental Services in Australia
Reading customer reviews and feedback can provide valuable insights into the quality of car rental services in Australia. Move like the wind: Tired of bulky luggage slowing you down? Lightweight suitcases let you zip through crowded terminals, hop on and off trains, and effortlessly navigate new cities.

Wheels of wonder: Smooth-rolling spinner wheels (four of them) are a must-have. Look for quality wheels that can handle various terrains.
Interior organization: Smart compartments, dividers, and compression straps keep your belongings tidy and in place.

Discovering the Secret to Mental Calm: An Explanation of Travel Insurance
Every trip in the thrilling world of travel promises a mosaic of life-changing moments and endless adventures. But among the thrill is a sobering recognition of the unknowns that can accompany our investigations. The range of potential disasters, from unanticipated medical emergencies to flight delays and misplaced baggage, highlights the significance of protecting our vacations with comprehensive travel insurance.
Recognizing the Fundamentals of Travel Insurance Travel insurance: what is it? Travel insurance acts as a safeguard, providing support and financial coverage for a range of unforeseen events that may arise while traveling. It covers a wide range of advantages, such as emergency evacuation services, medical coverage, protection against travel cancellation and interruption, and reimbursement for lost or delayed luggage. The Significance of Mental Calm The priceless guarantee of peace of mind is at the core of travel insurance. Travel insurance enables travelers to go off on their adventures with confidence, knowing that they are prepared to tackle any unforeseen obstacles that may arise, by reducing the financial risks connected with unanticipated incidents. Travel Insurance's All-Inclusive Benefits and Medical Protection: An International Lifeline Unexpected medical crises might happen, marring otherwise wonderful travel experiences. As a ray of hope, travel insurance pays for medical costs resulting from illnesses or accidents sustained while on the road. Knowing that their insurance plan will protect them from hospitalization, prescription charges, and emergency medical evacuations, travelers may navigate foreign healthcare systems with confidence. Protecting Your Money: Reducing Travel Risks Even the most carefully planned itineraries might be derailed by the possibility of a travel cancellation or interruption. Travel insurance provides financial security by covering non-refundable travel charges in the event of unforeseen illness, natural catastrophes, or other covered reasons. This way, travelers are spared the financial hardship of unanticipated cancellations. Protection for Baggage: Regaining Lost Comforts The thrill of reaching a destination can be quickly tempered by misplaced, pilfered, or delayed luggage. Assistance is provided by travel insurance, which covers loss, theft, or damage to luggage. This guarantees that passengers may quickly replace necessary products or get reimbursed for any lost goods, enabling them to continue traveling without experiencing undue hardship. Emergency Support: A Lifesaver in Adversity Access to round-the-clock emergency support can come in handy in times of need. Travelers can depend on their insurance company to give round-the-clock assistance and direction if they become lost in a foreign country or encounter a medical emergency. This indispensable service guarantees that tourists are never left on their own in an emergency. It does this by organizing everything from emergency medical evacuations to booking flights. Selecting the Appropriate Travel Insurance Policy Things to Take Into Account It is important to carefully analyze a number of aspects while choosing the best travel insurance plan, such as coverage limitations, deductibles, exclusions, and additional benefits. Travelers can customize their insurance coverage to meet their unique needs and preferences by evaluating their own travel demands and preferences. This will guarantee complete protection for the duration of their trips. Options Comparison: Making an Informed Choice Comparing and evaluating various possibilities is crucial because there are a plethora of travel insurance companies and policies on the market. Travelers can choose a plan that provides the most value and peace of mind for their trip by weighing coverage details, costs, customer reviews, and claim procedures. There may be unknowns around every bend in the dynamic world of travel. However, with the priceless protection of travel insurance, explorers may go off with complete assurance, certain that they will be able to conquer any challenge that may arise. Travel insurance ensures that every vacation is undertaken with peace of mind and limitless possibilities by providing comprehensive coverage and unwavering assistance. It prepares the way for remarkable experiences and exciting adventures.

Budget Airlines: How to Make the Most of Low-Cost Travel
n an age where travel is more accessible than ever, budget airlines have become a game-changer for savvy travelers. These airlines offer an affordable way to explore new destinations, but they also come with their own set of rules and nuances. Here’s how you can make the most out of your travel with budget airlines.
Pros and Cons of Flying with Budget Airlines
Pros:
Affordability: The most significant advantage of budget airlines is their low ticket prices, making air travel more accessible.
Unique Destinations: Many budget carriers fly to smaller, regional airports, which can be closer to your destination and less crowded.
Flexibility: With frequent flights, budget airlines offer flexibility for both last-minute travel and planning inexpensive trips.
Cons:
Extra Fees: Low initial fares often come with additional charges for baggage, seat selection, and onboard meals.
Basic Amenities: Expect minimal in-flight amenities. Comfort and entertainment options are usually basic or available at an extra cost.
Strict Policies: Budget airlines often have stringent policies regarding baggage limits, check-ins, and changes to bookings.
Tumblr media
Finding the Best Deals
Early Bookings and Alerts: Booking well in advance can secure the lowest fares. Sign up for fare alerts from budget airlines and flight comparison websites.
Flexible Travel Dates: Being flexible with your travel dates can lead to significant savings. Mid-week flights often tend to be cheaper.
Off-Peak Travel: Flying during the off-peak season or times can result in lower prices. Avoid holidays and school vacation periods.
Comparing Fares: Use fare comparison tools to check different airlines and routes. Sometimes, connecting flights can be cheaper than direct routes.
Understanding and Managing Additional Fees
Read the Fine Print: Familiarize yourself with the airline’s fee structure. Check their policy on baggage, seat selection, and food.
Pack Light: To avoid baggage fees, pack only what you need. Most budget airlines have strict carry-on limits.
Bring Your Snacks: Purchasing food on budget airlines can be costly. Bring your snacks and a refillable water bottle (fill it up after security).
Check-in Online: Some budget airlines charge a fee for airport check-ins. Save money by checking in online and printing your boarding pass or using a mobile version.
Seat Selection: If you’re not fussy about where you sit, skip the seat selection fee. For longer flights, you might want to consider if it’s worth the extra cost for added comfort.
Packing Smartly for Budget Flights
Packing effectively is crucial when flying with budget airlines to avoid hefty baggage fees:
Know the Limits: Before packing, check the airline’s baggage policy, including dimensions and weight restrictions for both checked and carry-on luggage.
Essentials Only: Pack only what you need. Choose versatile clothing that can be mixed and matched to create different outfits and travel-sized toiletries.
Wear Bulky Items: To save space, wear your bulkier items, like coats or boots, during the flight.
Use Packing Aids: Utilize space-saving packing solutions like compression bags or packing cubes. They can help organize your belongings and maximize space.
Tech Considerations: For electronic devices, ensure they comply with airline regulations. Keep chargers and essential gadgets in your carry-on for easy access.
Snacks and Entertainment: Since budget airlines often charge for onboard snacks and entertainment, bring your own – a book, downloaded music or movies, and some snacks can go a long way in enhancing your flight experience.
Navigating Airports and Check-In Procedures
Efficiently handling airport procedures can make your budget airline experience much smoother:
Online Check-In: Always check in online if possible. Many budget airlines charge extra for check-ins done at the airport.
Arrive Early: Budget flights often have strict boarding deadlines. Arriving early can avoid any last-minute rushes, especially in unfamiliar airports.
Security Preparation: Be prepared for security checks. Have your liquids in a clear bag and electronics easily accessible to expedite the process.
Gate Location: Check your gate number as soon as you arrive and keep an eye on any changes. Budget airlines sometimes use gates further away from the main area.
Boarding Process: Be aware of the airline’s boarding process. Some budget airlines have specific boarding groups, and being ready can make boarding quicker and less stressful.
Airport Amenities: Smaller airports used by budget airlines may have fewer amenities. Plan ahead if you’ll need food, water, or other services before your flight.
Onboard Comfort and Convenience
Even with budget airlines, you can enhance your onboard experience with a few simple strategies:
Personal Comfort Items: Bring a travel pillow, earplugs, and an eye mask to help you sleep better on the flight. A lightweight blanket or large scarf can also add to your comfort.
Stay Hydrated: Carry an empty water bottle to fill up after security checks. Staying hydrated is key, especially on longer flights.
Bring Your Entertainment: Download movies, music, podcasts, or e-books onto your device, as budget airlines typically don't offer in-flight entertainment systems.
Snack Wisely: Pack your own snacks to avoid paying high prices for food onboard. Opt for non-messy, easy-to-eat items.
Dress in Layers: Cabin temperatures can vary, so dressing in layers allows you to adjust your clothing for your comfort.
Combining Flights for Long-Distance Travel
Using budget airlines for long-distance travel often involves combining multiple flights. Here’s how to do it efficiently:
Planning Layovers: Allow plenty of time between connecting flights. This reduces the stress of potential delays and gives you a buffer for navigating through airports.
Research Airport Transfers: If you need to change airports during your layover, research transport options ahead of time. Consider travel time and traffic in your layover planning.
Mix and Match Airlines: Don’t hesitate to book different legs of your journey with different airlines. This can sometimes be more cost-effective.
Check Baggage Rules: If combining flights from different airlines, be aware of their baggage policies. You may need to reclaim and recheck your bags.
Loyalty Programs and Frequent Flyer Benefits
Many budget airlines offer loyalty programs that can provide additional value:
Accumulating Points: Enroll in the airline’s loyalty program to accumulate points or miles for every flight you take. These can often be redeemed for discounts, upgrades, or even free flights.
Understanding the Benefits: Familiarize yourself with the benefits offered. Some programs offer priority boarding, free seat selection, or extra baggage allowances.
Stay Informed About Promotions: Regularly check for promotions or special offers available to loyalty program members. These can sometimes offer substantial savings or additional perks.
Loyalty Across Airlines: Some budget airlines are part of larger alliances, meaning you can earn and redeem points across different carriers. Understanding these partnerships can maximize your benefits.
Safety and Reliability of Budget Airlines
Concerns about the safety and reliability of budget airlines are common. However, budget airlines adhere to the same safety regulations as traditional carriers. Always do your research and check an airline’s safety record and standards. Generally, budget airlines maintain a high standard of safety and reliability.
In Conclusion, traveling with budget airlines can be a great way to explore the world without draining your bank account. By understanding their business model, planning ahead, and being mindful of additional costs, you can make the most of low-cost travel. So, pack your bags, book that flight, and get ready for your next adventure with budget airlines!

The products are also relatively undifferentiated which enables easy price comparison. Bargaining power of suppliers: The bargaining power of suppliers is moderate. The market is highly fragmented with the presence of numerous global and regional players. Players compete based on product design, features, brand recognition and pricing. SWOT Analysis Strengths: The luggage market has seen rapid growth driven by increased travel, upgrade to branded products, focus on multi-purpose designs and expansion of e-commerce. Weaknesses: High dependence on economic cycles and global travel trends. Lower pricing pressures can undermine brand premium and profitability. Large inventory and seasonality pose challenges. Opportunities: Growth opportunities exist in emerging economies, rising middle class and millennial preferences. Digitalization, personalization and sustainability trends can bolster innovation. Partnerships with airlines, hotels and travel firms enhance reach. Threats: Economic slowdowns curtail travel spending. Rising raw material costs and regulations increase compliance burdens. Unauthorized copies dent revenue of established brands. Key Takeaways
The global luggage market is estimated to be valued at US$ 102.83 in 2024 and is expected to exhibit a CAGR of 9.7% over the forecast period 2024 to 2031. Regional analysis: The Asia Pacific region is the fastest growing regional market for luggage globally, projected to expand at a CAGR of around 12% during the forecast period. China, India and other Southeast Asian countries are major lucrative markets. This can be attributed to increasing investment in the travel and tourism industry by governments, growing middle class affluence and preference for branded luggage products in the region. North America currently accounts for the largest revenue share led by the United States. However, Asia Pacific is poised to outpace North America to become the market leader by 2028. Vishakhapatnam Diaries
To travel is to unravel
The greatest mysteries of life.
To travel is to explore
The hidden YOU in you.
Well, I haven't been out of my state until my school decided to take us out on an excursion to Vizag, Andhra Pradesh. I was literally excited when it was announced for the first time.
I was in the ninth standard when I went out so far for the first time in my life. I wanted to pack a lot of things for the first time as I had no idea back then and still, I do the same sometimes. Well, luckily, my husband is more perfect at organizing luggage than me. Ooh! Lucky me. Anyway, my parents helped me in packing my stuff. I got a new pair of glasses as well as my old one was half-broken at that time.
Finally, the wait was over and I alongwith my friends, teachers, Sisters and the School Principal boarded the Express Train from our nearby railway station. It was also my longest train journey for the first time in my life.
I was super-excited. As I boarded the train, I was, as usual, teased by some 'friends' of mine. One among them in particular asked me if I bought the new pair of glasses with the silver medal which I won that year at my school for remarkable improvement from the first term exam into the second term exam. I was dumb struck at the moment as I was not outspoken at that time in comparison to now. Timidly, I just stared back at her blankly and took some moment to answer that it was bought by my father as the old one was not in a proper shape. Well, she barely pretended to hear my answer as before that only she started laughing and mocking at me along with the others. I felt very low at the moment. But then my usual habit of forgetting all the bad stuff came in to play and I started looking out of the window at the greenery passing by as the train moved on and on.
I gladly watched the green pastures on huge areas along with some people working by in the fields or some children playing around or the huge trees moving backwards as the train moved forward. I enjoyed the whole scene, ignoring some of the classmates who were busy playing a fool or playing antakshari (singing songs which start with some letter that the prior competitor's song ended in). Meanwhile, teachers and Sisters came over to check in on us and serve meals.
We reached Vizag the next morning and reached the hotel by afternoon. On the way to the hotel, I was amazed to find the streets all slanted and steep, surrounded by high mountains. I wondered back then that if I would walk on those streets, I may fall and roll over down into the endless street or pit. It was so weird because I kept thinking the same thing over and over as I passed the streets of Vizag.
After we reach the hotel the freshened up, had lunch and boarded the bus arranged by our school for a short trip to the Rishikonda Beach nearby. We clicked photos and roamed around for a while, guided by our teachers, who were telling us about the geographical importance of the area. Then we visited the Ramakrishna Beach. It was a great one indeed with its violent waves ushering upon the huge mossy rocks. A huge wall was there boundarying the Submarine Museum by the beach itself. We went inside the huge submarine and I literally felt congested in there with so many things around. It was quite a different experience all over. We came back to the hotel and relaxed. After dinner, we tried to sleep but as usual some of our friends decided to have fun by knocking at each other's doors and trying to haunt sometimes with the torches in the dark. But our teachers were strict. So, it couldn't continue any longer and all went back to sleep.
Next morning, many of us got late and had our breakfast in a rush. Then we went on our journey to the famous Borra Caves. It basically smelled like bat shit as bats dwelled there. It was all dark in there. We carried flashlights to find our way. The huge rocks caught our eyes the whole time. Then we went to Kailasagiri on the high mountains. We were in awe seeing the beautiful, magnificent sculptures of the Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. It was really interesting a place over the mountains. A huge park is set up there to enjoy a great deal by all, especially the kids. In the evening, we were taken to the CMR Shopping Mall to buy any kind of souvenirs we desired. We were back to the hotel by late evening, had our dinner, said our prayers and went off to sleep. Next morning, we started for our home, boarded the train with heavy hearts and bid our goodbyes.
We enjoyed the short trip thoroughly and wished for more like this.
