This man has the temper of a wild bear, as well as the size and appetite to match. Stealing his food generally goes down about as well as you'd expect.

When Luffy reaches again for what's on his plate, the pointed ends of a fork bolt down into the table's wooden surface, leaving the utensil suspended upright and inches away from his outstretched rubber hand. Had he moved any faster, the metal prongs would have bit straight into his flesh. It isn't clear by his enraged expression if Kid had intended to miss his appendage and only ward him off, or if he really did plan to hit him, and just missed.

He's all but barking the command at him. He never even spoke to his own dog like that, when he was still alive.

Her body felt light compared to it's normal stature . Locks tussling in the breeze , causing patches of skin to waver as if she were trying to keep a solid form . Her magic was limited , and while bits of it were used to create cloud-like pillows she often exerted herself without realizing how much had actually been drained . Lifting her head , staring at the half-eaten plate of food she uttered a soft hum before burying her face back in his shoulder .

One. Obviously excluding Killer, out of all of the Supernovas, Kid is most naturally drawn to Luffy. He would never admit this; in fact, he would deny it vehemently should Luffy ever attempt to press him on this secret. He could never live it down if this truth were to be exposed. Regardless of his immense embarrassment, Kid does like Luffy; if nothing else, he's undeniably interesting, and never fails to be a valuable source of entertainment. He's wild, eccentric, unapologetically himself, and unquestionably charismatic. These are all traits Kid can't help but take notice of. They're rivals before everything else, so he wouldn't be inclined to refer to Luffy as being his friend, but he at least finds him more endearing than the rest of the Worst Generation.

Two. Luffy was the first and currently only pirate to speak of becoming the Pirate King with the same conviction that Kid has used to make the same claim. They both share a similar level of assertiveness, and an unwavering determination. When Kid had spoken of his ambitions in the past, it had been met with ridicule; to hear Luffy recite the same lines with equal resolution was both refreshing and startling. He was the first person to ever mirror his own unwavering ambition, and though that did automatically pin him as the rival he would need to be the most cautious of, it also resulted in an unspoken degree of understanding and connection. They both want the same thing, and never has Kid met anyone so equally determined to get it.

Bonus. Kid finds the fact that Luffy's body has the properties of rubber to be kind of weird, and he's slightly grossed out by that sometimes. He doesn't always address it because he doesn't want to come across as being a wuss, but there have been a few times where Luffy has demonstrated a particular ability his elasticated body can perform, and Kid has internally thought "Ew, that's nasty."

atieno huffs annoyed at luffy's claim that this was just a scratch. sure he could take a lot of damage, but the bleeding the wounds were incredibly obvious to them.

"it's more than a scratch. and you're not telling me otherwise. especially with all these other scratches that came with the injury."

“Luffy, you’re not supposed to eat the pumpkin filling now! We have to cook it first!” Rameses practically screeches, trying to stop the other from consuming the freshly scooped out pumpkin guts. “It’ll taste better that way, anyways! Now, c’mon, wait a little bit! We can even make cookies later if you don’t eat all the pumpkin.”

My Melody let out a startled noise. "Yaan! What the..." Then she stared at the stranger, blinked a few times, and finally she crossed her little arms as she was held. "Well of course not. My Melo is My Melo! She is a stuffed animal and a little girl, okay!"
