I just know that right this moment, Quincey and Lucy are having their cowpoke adventures in heaven, with that horse the (presumably non-supernatural) vampire bats had gotten 🥲

I know that Seward calling Renfield his friend is a parallel to Dracula calling Jonathan his friend because of the power dynamics involved in the two situations. Along with Jonathan and Renfield having to relinquish their personal autonomy to another that acts as a caregiver for a period of time.

BUT it is funnier to assume that Seward actually thinks that Renfield can actually be his friend. I can see him trying to tell Quincy and Arthur that he can be friends with his patients while they are having a boys night.

Quincy: "For a fella like you Jack it would be mighty difficult to make friends, but don't worry we will help you to find more 🤠."

Jack: "Not it is not, it might not look like it, but I have plenty of friends besides you two."

Quincy and Arthur *looking worried*.

Jack *sweating*: "Wh-what?."

Arthur: "Jack dear... we talked about this. Your patients don't count as friends."
