TBOSBAS SPOILERS AGAIN: CORYO AND CORIOLANUS ARE TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE

Coryo is the person he was before the death of sejanus and the trickery of lucy gray, coryo is who lucy fell in love with, coryo is sejanus’ brother, coryo is who snow was deep deep down even through his inner monologue. coryo was his child self, the self that survived the war, the self that tigris grew up with and loved so closely and so dearly. coryo is the boy who cried after sejanus died and the boy who begged the game maker to take lucy out of the arena. coryo is the boy who payed his way into district 12 just to see lucy gray again.

coriolanus is his father. coriolanus is the inner monologue, coriolanus is the boy who turned in sejanus’ speach to the game maker. coriolanus is the boy who didn’t trust lucy gray. coriolanus is the boy who decided to go to district 2. coriolanus is the boy who betrayed tigris, killed finnick, and thousands of other people out of the wrath he had for lucy gray.

i believe if CORYO would’ve waited and trusted lucy, she would’ve returned. it was a trick, it was a ruse to see if he trusted her, if he would’ve waited, and not have gone after her, she would’ve come back, they would’ve run away, and the hunger games wouldn’t have existed. because the only reason people kept watching is because coriolanus made them “better” for the people, started selling the people.

ANOTHER THEORY

bare with me on this one.

one of the first things lucy gray said with snow around was that her family was all for color “especially me”

before, the capital was FULL of what snow where’s now. suits, uniforms, very straight forward sophisticated people. but, TIGRIS with her new found hatred for snow, made the entirety of “trending” fashion full of color, full of extraordinary , beautiful color. when tigris says “until snow thought i wasn’t beautiful anymore” she was talking about him forcing her to change all of her looks, plastic surgery, outfits. because he knew she did it out of spite. she did it to remind him everyday of the impact lucy gray had on EVERYONE despite his attempt to make them immediately forget her. forget her songs, forget her face, her color, her everything so that she would never get justice. but tigris gave her justice, tigris made sure she lived on through the fashion and the color.
