the moon is already low on the sky when delilah exits the lusty lady. her body is heavy with the toll of a long night entertaining patrons and satisfying their thirst for love. she can never understand how they can find any fulfillment in the shallow interactions they hold in the strip club. granted, all the girls - delilah, especially - are good in creating the illusion of love and attraction. after two years, delilah is but an expert in flirting with patrons but letting them think nobody receives the same treatment. one suggestive look and there are dollars in her stockings. a secret smile and she has them on their knees for her, emptying their wallets of money and their chests with promises. delilah lets them think she believes them, that they just gotta keep coming one more night and soon she will be theirs. people can really be blind when they’re desperate for love.

hands tighten the coat around her frame, the autumn chill biting as she walks away from the club. for once, she is not going home to fall in bed as soon as possible. although said perspective would upset her usually, it’s not the case for this night. she expects she will fall in bed eventually but not by herself. there is a smile on the corner of her smile, subtle and barely there, but one she cannot seem to push back despite her talent for acting. this smile is all for her - lucia. 

they met when delilah was just a newcomer and the nature of their relationship caught delilah by surprise. she is very well used to be the magnet, attracting people and their affections like metal scraps no matter where she walks. she would think that another magnet would repel her instead of attracting her, but lucia proves her wrong. or perhaps, lucia just changes something deep inside of her and delilah is metal and she is magnet, pulling the younger hopelessly in her direction. either way, delilah doesn’t seem to be able to resist the pull lucia has on her or the smile that permeates her face whenever she is to meet her. 

so for once, the end of the night means the beginning of something exciting. delilah puts herself on the way for the motel they agreed on. she would bring lucia to her place but she doesn’t feel like dealing with annabelle, not wanting to ruin her peaceful night with any sort of quarrel. that, and the uneasy feeling that accompanies it. somehow, meeting her inside her own space, her home, feels too intimate, too close for the unspoken arrangement they have. they are not yet, delilah doesn’t think so. then in the motel they meet. 

delilah arrives first, denies herself to think why lucia isn’t there yet. instead, she takes the smell of the strip club to the shower and washes it off, slips on her own bathrobe when she feels finally clean. thankfully, she doesn’t have to wait for much longer, for she hears the door clicking and a smile appears on her face as she turns to welcome her company for the night. 

“you sure know how to keep a woman waiting,” delilah says, soft and with no heat on her voice. she approaches the other, relaxed and even happy. “i’m just kidding. hello lucia,” and her smile grows, bright and warm.

It has been far too long since Satoko last saw Keiichi. But instead of feeling excited or happy, all Satoko can feel is an anxiety dragging her down, plaguing her with nausea and racing thoughts. ...It’s horrible that she feels this way. Shouldn’t Keiichi’s face fill her with happiness and joy? She knows it’s because she fears how he’ll react to her, but that doesn’t stop it at all. ...After all, Satoko - who’s failing all her classes, who can’t even keep Rika’s attention, who’s letting everyone down... what would he want to do with someone like that?

It’s difficult to keep those bitter feelings off her face as she looks at him. ...Yes, that’s just another way she’s a failure, isn’t it? Satoshi always managed to push down his feelings and get along with people, because he was mature. Satoko, though... she’s never been able to do that.

“dance with me!” sawyer shouted under the flashing lights of the underground, the colors of the rainbow surrounding and engulfing him like a warm, familiar hug. he’d only just met lucie, but he was already having the time of his life, the couple of his shots in his system making his usually graceless limbs feel looser than usual. catching up to lucie, he gripped onto her hand gently, a warm smile on his face as he pulled her towards the dancefloor, the buzz of the night feeling like it’d never end.

Days off were few and far in between for the Italian and he mostly preferred it that way. But lately Gio had been thrown for a loop, thinking about things that he shouldn’t have been thinking about, and generally driving himself up the wall. Usually that was a skill he used on other people, not himself. So when the opportunity for a break came around he couldn’t really pass it up this time. And there was only one way he could think of to spend his generous twenty-four hours that would make it impossible for him to think too much: high.

And the best way to enjoy being high while ensuring he didn’t think about what he was trying to escape from? Making sure somebody was enjoying it with him. It was just coincidence that had him buried deep in the gardens with Lucia but a happy one it was turning out to be. Even with the snow on the ground Gio was glad the two of them had found a secluded area under a gazebo as he leaned back against the cold bench, hands going to his pockets after passing Lucia the joint he’d brought along. He was just waiting for the drug to fully kick in. That was when the relief would come in. Or at least he hoped. 

A thought came to mind, the guard opening his eyes to take in his coworker as a scowl formed on his face. “We didn’t bring snacks did we? What kind of people forget the snacks? I don’t even do that when I’m sober.”

MY VERSES

this verse takes place after the movie, the only exception being in this verse, lio is still a burnish. unlike my post-movie verse, lio doesn’t work with burning rescue. he returns to some of his traveler habits from the pre-movie verse.

◤ pre-movie verse ◢

this verse, like the title, takes place before the movie. it also takes place before lio-hen. in this verse, lio is a traveler who hasn’t yet discovered the mad burnish in promepolis, having just come out of detroit after learning he was a burnish.

◤ post-movie verse ◢

this verse fully follows the events of the movie, where lio is no longer a burnish. not much is different with this verse and my main verse other than that, though many of the scenarios can come out differently because of the headcanons for my main verse.

in this verse, lio works with burning rescue, though it’s more of a part-time job just being there at the department since fires don’t start often without burnish. 

◤ in-movie verse ◢

this verse takes place during the beginning of the movie, before lio is captured by galo. at this point, lio is the leader of the mad burnish, trying to keep himself, gueira, and meis alive and out of freeze force’s prison, thinking of plans to save their people.

this tag is universal; there are a lot of au tags that i may use. the question marks are there in place of the au name. i don’t consider the aus their own separate verses, but i tag the au instead of adding a verse alongside it. relationships do not carry from our shared verse to the au verse.

What is Tellius Week?

In case you’ve never participated in a fanweek before, the basic idea is that it’s a week to encourage fans to create new fanworks and showcase the amazing works that the fans come up with! The mods of Tellius week adore both the Tellius games and the FE fandom, so we decided to hold a week to show our appreciation for both these things!

How it Works

After we decide the dates for Tellius week, we’ll be posting several prompts for each day. You, the fans, create content based on these prompts and we’ll reblog and share it!

When will Tellius Week be held?

At the moment, the dates are still TBD. We’re still working on getting the word out, but once we get the blog up and running and a decent amount of followers, we’ll work on setting specific dates.

What can I submit?

Any kind of fan-created work: fanfics, fanart, meta, edits, fan mixes, headcanons, funny screenshots. We want as much content as possible, so we don’t want to limit you!

How do I submit my works?

If you post your content on your own blog, tag it with #telliusweek2017 or #telliusweek. We’ll be tracking those tags, but if we miss anything, feel free to submit it or send us a message. You can also @ mention us to make sure that we see it. We’ll also have submissions open if you would prefer to submit directly to this blog. We also plan to create an AO3 collection that fic writers can submit to, so stay posted for that!

Are there any limits about what/how much I can submit?

Nope! As long as it fits with our guidelines and is about the Tellius universe, you can submit as much or as little as you’d like!

What are the prompts?

We’re currently working on the prompts, but if you have any suggestions, feel free to message us with them. The prompts are there to give you inspiration, but if you create something Tellius-related that’s not quite in line with the prompts, that’s ok too.

i always liked the idea of there being a male and female personification for a country because that’s so much fun

It hurts. Now that Satoko’s in St. Lucia, every day hurts. The days she used to spend, where happiness was so close by... they feel so far away now.

She’s wondered many times if it’s her fault. It must be, she thinks. There must be something wrong with her. That she can’t study, even when she wants to; that she can’t keep up with everyone else... it must mean that she’s just lazy and stupid, right? And that stings, because didn’t she swear to herself to be strong? That she wouldn’t be a burden on anyone else anymore?

What a joke, Satoko thinks, throat tightening and face burning. She’s nothing more than a failure, who can’t even find it in herself to change. What would her Nii-nii think of her now?

When Satoko spots Rika, the turmoil in her heart should go away - but instead it only twists more. When did Rika’s presence start making her feel this way? Truth be told, she’s... angry. Rika always spends all her time with her new friends, and Satoko knows why - she gets that they’re smarter, kinder, better than her, but... she can’t help, these days, but feel just a little bit resentful.

It sickens her that she feels that way - it makes the self-hatred in her grow stronger and stronger, until it feels like it’s choking her. But isn’t Rika supposed to be her friend? Didn’t she come to St. Lucia for Rika’s sake to begin with?

With all those feelings stirring within Satoko’s chest, she doesn’t know what to do or say. Eventually, with a guarded expression and guilt in her heart, she says-

“...Rika... what are you doing here, alone?”
