Solveig’d spent the last couple of days in her room utterly alone with the exception of a run in with Klaus. She’d found being drunk and having no cares suited her well in the depressed state she’d been in since fighting with Matthias. Something in the back of her mind had reminded her though, if she kept hiding, people would start talking. It was bad enough the prince was being seen without his normal guard, she didn’t need rumors about her circulating on top of everything. Of course, after reading the card she’d been given several times, she was ready to call off her attempts at going out. What a cruel joke it was that her only connection would be with Katrien.
Dressed to the nines as though nothing had happened though, she walked into the dining room. Matthias was the first person she’d spotted, a trait developed from years of having to pick him out in a crowd, and suddenly her chest was heavy and her eyes stung. Grabbing a glass of champagne quickly she made her way out to the adjoined back patio. Muttering a number of expletives as she stepped outside, she took notice of the person already there for the first time. “Sorry,” she said, clearing her throat softly and standing up a little straighter. “I thought I was alone.”

Curiosity, more than anything, had pulled Sasha to the boats at the lake. The ride hadn’t been entirely disappointing, but for someone enthralled with the terror genre, she couldn’t help but be critical of the stories. As the boast docked on the opposite side though and she disembarked, she had hopes for the creepiness of the cabin. If nothing else, it was a new abandoned place in Khatanga to explore.
Eyes cast down and not expecting the person in front of her to stop so abruptly she walked straight into their back. “Oh! My bad,” she replied, looking up at the other person.

Sahir had just arrived at the party and the first order was to find himself a glass of wine. Admittedly, he found it all intriguing, and he was curious about how the events of the night would pan out. Speaking with Rebekah was certainly high on his list, as well as the others he’d been told he had connections with. Before he could seek them out though, a familiar face caught his eyes.
As he walked over he vaguely remembered something about October being a bad month for the blonde. A fact he’d found out the hard way after arriving in her country unannounced a number of years ago. He’d meant to check on her sooner, but time had escaped him, an all too common travesty for the prince. “I meant to come to your room this month,” he commented as he walked up behind her. “Though I’m glad to see you’re out and about and look stunning by the way. Mourning suits you. Said in the most respectable way of course.” He’d never had much of a filter, though it’s not like Rasa did either.

Cas had wanted to spend most of the evening with Cam, but as he’d made his way to her, he’d been inevitably reminded or Arianna and the time her lday was expected to stay with her. Surely the two couldn’t spend the entire night together, but he’d let them have their time for now. Deciding instead on finding his sister he grabbed a cup of apple cider, scanning the filled blankets of the garden.
Instead he saw a somewhat familiar face approaching the table with the popcorn. He couldn’t remember ever speaking to Klaus, but he recognized him from seeing him in tow with his sister. The Greek immediately distrusted any man he didn’t know that spent that much time with Cassie though. “Hey,” he said in passing, nodding as the other walked by him. “Klaus, right?”

Ausra had spent quite a bit of time staring at her character card after she’d gotten it. Being ‘married’ to Oleander for a night could be fun, but why did Gio have to be her enemy? That might be difficult, especially if he showed up wearing a uniform. Then again, keep your friends close and your enemies closer, right? Like really close. Within touching distance. Maybe even lip touching distance.
Excusing herself from Ollie she made her way across the room, doing her best to put on airs and stay in character. Spotting Gio, she b-lined for him. It wasn’t unusal for two enemies to be seen talking to each other and maybe flirting, right? “Well, well, well... If it isn’t Colonel Custard. I’m surprised you’d show your face here,” she said haughtily, fighting tooth and nail against the grin that struggled to over take her face.

The party was winding down, most people retired from the dining room back to their private quarters, as Solveig stood at the bar getting herself yet another drink. Aside from actually eating dinner, or rather picking at her plate if food, and a couple conversations, she'd spent most of her time on the attached balcony. Occupying her time by drinking and speaking with anyone who'd ventured into the night's chill.
Between the ability to ignore her own problems by taking over her assigned character and the multiple glasses of bourbon she'd been nursing all evening, she was actually in a fairly good mood. After flirting rather forwardly with the bartender, she accepted the new glass with a wink before turning to walk away.
Stumbling over an invisible lip in the floor she grumbled, looking up to meet Klaus' gaze. She wasnt so far gone that she didn't know it was only a few minutes before midnight on the thirty first. She didnt like what that meant, but she'd made a promise, and even very tipsy Solveig held her word to high regard. Prancing over with a grin she nearly fell to the german, grabbing his arm to stabilize herself. "Klausy," she sang before giggling softly. "Oh you look so nice, but you normally do, yes?" Cooing, she raked her finger tips gently over his jaw. "It really is unfair, I just want to kiss you all over...," she added with a slight pout. Deepening her voice to a tone to mock a statement he'd made in an earlier conversation she added, "But that would be a distraction." She wasn't fully drunk yet, but still found herself distracted from what she'd meant to talk to him about.

Since receiving the card Sahir had not only memorized his role, but also come up with a number of head-cannons. Apparently, when the internet was down, he found it astoundingly easy to divert his focus to other such tasks. Not that he was terribly happy about the fact.
Glass of red wine in hand he moved about the room, a five piece finely tailored suit replacing his normal three piece look. He was already tall and fairly well muscular, so the act of a bouncer wasn’t hard to pull off. Finding the name tag on the new Swedish heir wasn’t difficult either and he sauntered up with an easy smile. “Ah, Ms. Vanilla, enjoying the party I hope? I’ve already seen a number of your clients around.”

Cas had come into the dinning room entirely intending to participate. Or at least, participate to the best of his abilities, which were admittedly, not terribly high. Still, for the first time since coming to Russia it wouldn’t be a lie to tell anyone he was a butler, and that wasn’t something he could pass up. Walking the room, flask from his breast pocket in hand, he didn’t spot Emma. Shame, he’d been hoping to use the scenario to mess with her, and maybe even consummate their ‘marriage’.
He could have looked for the other names on his card, but instead a familiar brunette caught his attention and he waltzed over to her. “A pleasure, Mrs? Rum Baba.” The prefix caught his attention and he couldn’t help but grin about it. “Looks like I was too late, someone already put a ring on that finger.” The comment was out of character, but he couldn’t help himself.

After his conversation with Rebekah, his so called employer, Sahir decided to take a step back. More and more people were entering the room and he found it wise for a moment to simply observe. It was interesting to see that most seemed to be taking to their characters in good fun; more than he would have suspected. Then again, if you’d asked Sahir a few months ago if he’d be interested in such a thing he would have told you there was no way he’d have the time.
Catching the eye of a familiar woman he had to swallow a hard lump. His conversation with Niamh had been weeks ago and brief at that. He’d never admit out loud that he’d been avoiding her, but.... It just never seemed like the right time. Sipping gingerly from a class of whiskey he took a deep breath before heading towards her. At least now he’d have the excuse of his character and the party. “You look gorgeous, but I don’t believe we’ve met before, Ms...?”

Cas had been thoroughly enjoying his evening. It was a shame Emma hadn’t shown up, though he seemed to be having just as much fun with the rest of the connections on his card, not to mention the people he’d already known and liked. That was, at least, until he’d spotted a familiar blonde moving through the crowd. It had triggered a rather unpleasant conversation with Cam that he’d been dreading for a couple of days now. Not to say the lady hadn’t taken it well, better than he expected honestly, but his own feelings still had him thoroughly unsettled about the whole thing. Honestly, what kind of man was stupid enough to arrange a marriage of his daughter to the youngest Greek prince? Perhaps Cas had been underestimating his own father’s charismatic qualities all these years.
With a swig from the now nearly empty flask he kept in his pocket, the now tipsy prince finally found he had the courage to approach the Dutch girl. How did he even start the conversation?, he wondered as he made his way over to her. Walking up he opened his mouth before closing it again, deciding hitting on her was not the best course of action. “Get any letters from home recently?” he finally asked.

Sasha’s decision to attend the fair had been somewhat conflicted. On one hand, supporting the unnecessary extravagance of the royalty wasn’t exactly on her list of fun things to do. On the other, fall was her favorite season and Halloween her favorite holiday and Alexi’s home could use a Jack-o-lantern. So, somewhat cautiously, she attended, finding the table with the pumpkins thankfully void for the time being.
She wasn’t there long though, meticulously picking her perfect pumpkin for craving, before someone else walked over. Glancing over she couldn’t say she especially recognized him aside from the fact that he was most likely a prince. From which country though, she couldn’t place. “Having fun?” she asked tentatively before deciding on a pumpkin and grabbing it.

Cas had been making his way around the room when he spotted a particularly cute blonde. He might have passed her by with a wink under normal circumstances and waited to see if she came to him. He noticed a name tag though and couldn’t help but grin, a connection in game was certainly an in for him.
“Ah, Ms. Tootsie. I see you’re looking as ravishing as ever,” he said as he walked up, fully ignoring whoever else she might have been talking to. It seemed being rude was in brand for his character, which lent itself to his usually manner-less demeanor. “As your butler, I have to wonder if there’s any way I can service you.” He let the double-entendre drip from his lips with a smirk.

Initial Thoughts: “Oh? Mr. Grooms? Haha...This could be fun though.” Intention to Participate: Intrigued by the concept and intends to participate to the best of his abilities. Growing up in politics, putting on an act won’t be hard for him, he just hopes it holds his attention the way it promises to.

Oh this was exciting! So very very exciting and Ausra was doing her best to not run circles around the dining room. She assumed her character was a very smart and elegant woman that held herself very high, which meant the Lithuanian was doing her best to put on such airs. She’d curtly nodded in greeting to some, walking with her back straight and head high.
Her first self assigned task though was to find her supposed husband. After all, and Admiral wife in strife should be seen standing by her husband, right? Thankfully, between name tags and having spent enough time in the village while here, Oleander’s face was at least one she would be able to recognize. Walking up she put on a polite and proper smile, doing everything she could to keep her child-like enthusiasm veiled. “Admiral,” she greeted before thinking better of it. “Husband? ....Admiral Husband?” she asked a little confused about how to address him before laughing softly. “Either way, you look very nice.”

Initial Thoughts: “How do they always expect us to make the food for these things and then attend them?” Grumbles something about cute girls. “I think I have a dress that’ll work.” Intention to Participate: Uncertain about the entire ordeal and not a terribly large fan of such events to start with. She does, deep down though she’d never tell anyone, think a murder mystery sounds cool and as far as characters go, she appreciates the one she got.

Initial Thoughts: “Oh my gosh! This looks like so much fun. I swear though, it’s just weed! It’s not that bad, right?” Intention to Participate: Very excited about the event and intends to fully participate. Not always the best actress though, she hopes she won’t accidentally give anything away.
