top 3 favorite shirbert moments? 🥹

hey there!

oof that’s always a tough question to answer because i love so many but if i had to choose just three….

1. my top fave moment is when they’re at dance practice for the county fair! because i love pride & prejudice so much, i felt like that scene paralleled the dance scene between elizabeth and darcy at the ball. anne herself later on admits to diana that she felt like elizabeth precisely while dancing with gilbert. it’s dear to me

2. the post exams campfire scene. when gilbert goes to find anne, the world around him quiets as he sees his favorite fiery red head dancing and having fun. the love in his eyes is everything

3. the walk back to gilbert’s house as gilbert is distraught over mary’s terminal illness. the way anne is there for him, listens to him, and comforts him. the hug they share…. 😭 i love this scene particularly because anne didn’t know how to express her condolences properly when gilbert’s dad dies but she grew so much, mentally, that she now knew how to properly be there for gilbert this time. anne is exceptional.

i REALLY wanted to add the kiss scene so badly but these moments here were just too profound for me. this was hard to answer but i hope i did well 😅
