Wren curled up on the couch, wrapped in one of Luca's hoodies that still smelled like him, her fingers absently tracing the outline of her mug of tea. She smiled to herself, glancing out the window as the rain softly pattered against the glass, knowing he’d be home soon. She picked up her phone, typing out a quick message to him.

“Hey, tough guy 💙 I know you’ve had a long day, so I’m ordering pizza for when you get home. Oh, and I’m officially declaring tonight a no-plans, cuddle-only zone. SWAT can wait, but I can’t 😉 Hurry home!”

She hit send, setting her phone aside, already imagining how good it would feel to sink into his arms after another long shift.

about the wmmap side stories, do you think there is any chance of seeing some scenes from the novel? For example Athy and Claude going to the city, Lucas giving Athy a dragon or maybe something about lp universe?

As a personal taste I would really like if spoon made a reference to the other wmmap universes, where athy marries ijekiel and in which she has a daughter with Lucas, also that Lucas and Athy meet in korea (I'll die if a only panel hinting at that) I'm so excited for the side stories, every day that passes I feel like I'm dying (yes, very dramatic)

The other thing that excites me to think is that when the side stories come out, the entire manhwa community is going to lose it and so am I, i want to see my whole social media just about them again, I miss my girl Athy 🤧

Spoon has said that the side stories will be, at the very least, about:

Claude and Athy visiting Anastasius and Jennette

Claude and Diana's romance story

Lily and Felix's stories (people took this as it being the story of their -so far, fanon- romance but in the way it was worded, it seemed to me that it was just about their individual backstories? There could be some ship fuel there, sure, but I don't think it will be all romance)

The daily life of the maids at the Emerald Palace (This is unconfirmed information, so don't quote me on it but: a good friend told me the chinese notice about the side stories changed "a maid's daily life" to "Athy's daily life" after people got mad over the former being boring. Again, this is unconfirmed, but I wonder what's up with that, because yeah, the daily life of a maid does kind of sound boring. But the text of the chapter itself does say it's about the maids)

The way it was worded, it's not clear to me if these will be 5 chapters, if the stories could span for more than one chapter, nor if those will be all the side stories. So, there's a possibility they will include more than just those summaries. Which leaves room for speculation!

As for what I want: I really want Nox to be included in some way. Even a single throwaway panel about Lucas gifting him to Athy. Please. The dragon extra is amazing as well, so I would love to see it. Claude and Athy visiting the market would be so funny, but it could be kind of included on their visit to Mietta. Oh, I'm actually dying to get more backstory about Lily and Felix as individual characters. Lily's meeting with Diana, what her family situation is like, Felix's early relationship with Claude, are our fan theories about Felix being an illegitimate child true? There is a good chance some of these questions will be answered, so I'm very much looking forward to it. Also, please more worldbuilding in general!

The LP side stories... I think we probably won't get them. Mainly for two reasons: They were insanely long (over 20 chapters if I recall correctly); and also, it would ruin the fandom's opinion of... like 70% of the cast. Comparing both the novel and the manhwa, I think it's pretty obvious that Spoon tried to make everyone way nicer and soften up their ugly flaws, so I doubt she would end WMMAP with Athy suffering at the hands of... kind of everyone except Lily and Lucas. Though I would love to see my edgy boy LP! Lucas.

Spoon actually does include a lot of the novel's material even after deviating from the original plot, so I think we could get some scenes or references to the novel, but probably not LP?

Also, yes, it does feel painfully boring without any WMMAP news on the horizon. Someone said manhwa fandom died with WMMAP's ending, and while that's a little dramatic and maybe biased, I kind of agree lmao. Like, there's no flood of excited tweets every 10 days when 12 AM KRW hits the clock. There's no manhwa characters trending on Twitter. No "every single one of my followers changed their pfps to the new Lucas panels and now I can't tell them apart, help".

Murk hadn't been willing to stick around when he'd figured out how to semi-sneak a present into Amara's home. Ever since the disaster of that other world, he'd kept a distance between himself and the young princess...but all the same, he found his nonexistent heart twisting at the thought of missing this holiday. So, some time within the same year of the two's meeting, he'd managed to find out where she properly lived- and how to teleport there safely.

So there may have been one additional present awaiting Amara come the winter season, the tag on it reading 'from a friend, for Princess Amara'.

Inside of this present (if it was ever opened)...was a small cutting of a plant, alongside a small silver necklace with a simplified star design that glittered in the light. There was a small piece of paper, the writing on it potentially foreign- it was written in the modern Mobini of Murk's world, after all.

The morning had been wonderful, the royal family together opening presents. A smaller celebration before the rest of the extended family joined in on the festivities. All the family members exchanged gifts, until there was one left. "Pearlie, did you get something extra...?" Matt asked as he dug out this mysterious present.

"No... did you?" The parents exchanged a look before reading the tag. "Amara.... Do you have a friend?" Pearl sounded surprised. Their youngest hadn't been making many friends if any at all.

Amara gave a tilt of her head as the present was handed to her. A friend... no one came to her mind immediately until she saw the plant cutting. "Murk..." She couldn't help but smile.

Matt's ear twitched. He recalled Amara telling him where she had been and the person she had met. Now that he thought about it, it was kind of concerning that there was someone other than him or his mother sneaking around the castle.

"Next year you'll have to try to get your friend something in return." Pearl said, her daughter giving a nod as she put the necklace on the girl.

"For sure!" If only she could thank him for everything. She'd definitely have to make sure to get a present to give him the next time she saw him!

I’ll preface this by saying I’m not really a shipper. I just enjoy canon couples on TV Series/films.

Terms I’d like B*ddies to remove from their vocabulary because they don’t know how to use them correctly:

Media literacy: For a group that uses this term a lot you sure do misinterpret everything in this show.

Queerbaiting: Going to expand on this one. A show that’s already been pre established for having queer characters simply cannot queerbait.

Ship baiting: While sometimes you can argue that they could be doing that, that’s only if you look at the show in a very biased manner. You might think this is the case but the general audience doesn’t think the way you do.

Ship war: This isn’t a one tree hill situation where there was Team Brooke Vs. Team Peyton where the middle guy (Lucas Scott) had canonically been with both women. This is people not understanding fanon vs. canon and not being able to just watch the show. It’s like playing quarterback on Madden and thinking you could be better than Patrick Mahomes.

Plot device: everything’s a plot device. Move tf on.

Predator: You sound like crazy MAGA supporters calling everything regarding the LGBTQIA+ community as predatory. Sit down.

Co-parenting: I know this is a big one and discourse was brought up during the hiatus. Oliver and Ryan have loosely mentioned this years ago but it was never to be taken this seriously. Do y’all even know what co-parenting is or are you that big of a donut? Buck is someone who loves his best friend deeply and by extension, his kid too. Him taking care of him frequently does not make him a co-parent. Maybe he is a parental or uncle figure, but he isn’t a co-parent. Also, I swear y’all need to learn how a will works. He is a GODPARENT, not a GUARDIAN. Stfu.

Hag: This especially applies to women, but to say that someone 25-30+ is a hag for still being in fandoms or enjoying tv shows/films is inherently misogynistic. Men are never held to this much criticism for enjoying fictional media, but women aren’t allowed to?

Queer Coding: people of the same sex “looking at each other”, hugging, or having intimate moments all together doesn’t make them queer coded. It could mean that they just love each other that deeply platonically. While representation is amazing and just because you interpret a character as queer coded (just like my ship baiting comment) doesn’t mean others interpret it that way as well. In addition, network TV has stipulations, and also actors are allowed to decline storylines. Ryan has mentioned his character is heterosexual an abundance of times which means (at least for now) that he isn’t willing to go for this storyline.

Dead naming: Y’all construing the fact that Buck wants people like coworkers and some of his former love interests, to saying Evan is his dead name is inherently transphobic because do you even understand what a dead name is? Evan Buckley is shown as being fine with being called Evan by both Tommy and his sister. I’m pretty sure some of his love interests have called him Evan as well.

Fetishizing: You guys saw two hot guys who “looked at each other” and for 6 seasons have wanted nothing but to see those two make out with each other. Those of us who enjoy Tevan saw Buck giddy at the thought of Tommy and have wanted domestic fluff for them since.

Anything to do with racism, homophobia, and misogyny: I’ve seen the way you guys have conveniently weaponized Henren and by extension Aisha/Tracie when you didn’t get the Ryan/Oliver interview, don’t try to act like you’re morally superior. Not to mention wanting a canonically gay man to die in a show and not even holding those who use your ship name to write CSA fics accountable because you’re petty and want to throw hissy fits. Anyone looking at your comments as an outsider would think you’re homophobes and yes queer people can be homophobic.

I do hope you can expand your vocabulary. 🤍
