Nothing has happened yet. Absolutely nothing. But Raoul feels a disturbance (one solely of his own making and in his own head) and he's......mad.
Luc is tired and demands a vacation from dealing with this hothead. Very...tired.

A secret little way into Kaeya's heart happens to be valberries. He loves them greatly, and if someone were to make it a habit to leave him little bundles of fresh-picked valberries to snack on, guaranteed he would end up adoring them.
#hc; kaeya#//Likes to think of when he and Luc used to grab fistfuls of harvested/delivered berries and make off with them#//And Crepus and Tunner would either pretend not to notice; or do a dramatic; comical attempt at 'catching' them#//He does the very same with Klee if he happens to have berries or other snacks and she pops by#//Loves hearing her squeals of delight & surprise when he catches and scoops her right up to put her in Air Jail#//But ye; he LOVES it when people are thoughtful enough to think of him and set aside berries for him; esp Valberries#//Misses for those golden summer days of juice-sticky hands; tangy-sweets; & giggly escapes to the Winery's rooftop quite dearly#//If he happens to make a rather contemplative face while snacking; that's why#//Is also contemplating getting Luc a share of berries. For old times' sake#//Sometimes he goes through with it (& anonymously; given through Addie); sometimes doesn't and gets melancholic#//Him sharing berries is a love language#//If any of his fellow captains (and Klee) happen to be nearby; he Will make it a point to share. And very much Insist upon it#//It being a little pickmeup for the day; he'll call it#//But they know well it's his own little way of saying I love you#//It goes DOUBLE if offered to the person who gifted them. Berries always taste Much better shared; is what he'd say#//And he has the memories to back it up

What-if... AU where there's no ship wars and Bluey is in a poly marriage with both Jean Luc and Mackenzie!
Kiddo that for now I'll just call Berry. While it's unknown who is the biological father between the two, Mackenzie somehow definitely got his kiddo to embrace his Border Collie nature.
He is very chaotic and energetic. Like Mackenzie, he also sadly has some abandonement issues, due to the constant bullying he has to deal with. His family isn't seen as traditionally fitting, so many kids take after their own parents. However, many of his parents' friends' children instead welcome him.
The last one is just meme pff

My thoughts while playing Fields of Mistria for 2 days, in no particular order:
Juniper and Valen have an on again off again relationship, I just know it
Reina is the cutest <3
I love that they have a hijab option 10/10 choice
Ryis needs a break
I have too many berries in storage.......
All the little kids are my absolute favorite but I do adore Luc the most (also how do you pronounce that name?? Is it Luke or Luz or Lock? I dunno). I wanna draw this troublemaking trio so bad!!!
Holt is Martin Blackwood coded
Olric is god damn beautiful and it's a real shame he can't be romanced >:(
Speaking of him, I initially mistook Olric and his brother March for two butch siblings. But no, they're just dudes
The Friday night dnd sessions are so precious
Terithia <333
I am very bad at games and only just unlocked the feature to get pets on my farm rip

Come spiega Nicholas Cullinan, “Pittura o scultura? Arte o complemento d’arredo? Elemento utilitaristico oppure ornamentale? Decorativo, funzionale, architettonico o teatrale?

⭐ Director's Cut on the First Impressions ficlets, please!
Bahaha! Thank you for asking about those, @fiadorable! ❤️😂
Okay, so the trio of ficlets that form First Impressions are all … first impressions … in the context of two first officers — Jack Ransom and Una Chin-Riley. I originally posted the first and second ficlets to Tumblr (sort of glorified shitpost fics) and people asked me to put them on AO3, which was really nice. I put all three stories on AO3 a few days before the Lower Decks/Strange New Worlds crossover was announced and I thought, “Whoa. Of all my crackships, is Chansom actually going to go canon?!” So, yep, the joke in the crossover made me happy because how can you have first officer actors married to each other and not make a joke about it? The show did good.
Anyway, for the first ficlet, Jack Ransom falling for an Una Chin-Riley hologram (and Mariner teasing him about pulling a Geordi LaForge/Leah Brahms) was fun, and Jack meeting — and respecting — the actual Una as an aged and wise ambassador, all in the service of Jack’s emotional journey for his own self-confidence, was nice to explore. I see Jack as having a really beautiful and needy heart that he hides to protect himself (per Deanna Troi’s analysis). Letting Jack be vulnerable with Una made my own heart happy.
For the second ficlet, I was amused by the number of Trek characters played by married Trek actors and I wanted to get them all into one place. Hence, the nightclub that in my mind is officially named “Okudas,” but I couldn’t get that in there. Having Kira and Bashir (married actors!) comment on Jack and Una (married actors!) while reflecting on Tilly and Ryn (married actors!) and so, so many more had me smiling. (B’Elanna and Damar! Spock and Admiral Rollman! Jean-Luc Picard and the lounge singer from a dive bar in 21st century Los Angeles!) I like to believe that once Una and Jack figured out why they were at the nightclub (“Okay, so we’re fictional characters played by actors who are married to each other. That’s ummm …” “Not even the strangest thing to ever happen to me.” “Yeah, same.”) that they sort of warily circled each other, then Jack made a joke about testing out the ol’ rod and berries (yeah, a Roddenberry dirty joke — I truly believe Jack would go there) and Jack got nervous when Una seemed annoyed at first by his humor … but then he saw the amusement in her eyes and they both absolutely cracked up laughing.
The third ficlet was the only one of the trio that I wrote directly for AO3 (didn’t begin life as a Tumblr fic shitpost). And I have to say, I have a special place in my heart for it. The way Christopher Pike initially dismisses Jack Ransom as an idiot and, sure, it’s fine if Una has history with this guy from the future because it’s obviously just physical attraction and … what’s that? Jack is actually intelligent? Well, shit. Writing Chris becoming more and more insecure while Jack and Una have no idea that Chris is freaking out … and Chief Kyle just wants everyone out of the transporter room … had me laughing (lovingly) as I wrote and every time I edited.
Thank you so much, @fiadorable, for asking about that trio of firsts for two of my favorite first officers. ❤️
Want more information about a fic I wrote? Send me an ask.

PIC: Remembrance
Please note: This article contains spoilers for ST: Picard 1x01 (and earlier events that you should really already know about by now).
Eighteen years after Nemesis, the first episode of Star Trek: Picard opens with our titular admiral playing a game of poker with his old friend Data, who wears the DS9 style of uniform he died in. It’s hard to tell, but it looks like the vertical lines on the grey shoulder area of this remake may have been made by pleating the fabric, rather than quilting.
Yes, our favourite robot is back from the dead, but can we talk about these seams?
Picard himself doesn’t wear anything particularly noteworthy just yet, which is fine, because this was all a dream. Sadly, I can’t say the same for the next scene, in which this cool Xahean guy’s awesome vest–
–does not prevent him from being immediately murdered.
Great lining on the vest, though.
Jean-Luc, awake now, strolls through the vineyards of Château Picard looking absolutely dapper. With a cane and flat cap, he is the very image of a peaceful, pastoral retirement. Somehow, this is the cottagecore content we all needed in our Star Trek.
Number One also looking very gentlemanly.
In a move that seems surprisingly self-important, Picard also appears to be wearing a pin of his own family crest while touring the grounds… but I think he just feels naked without a little badge there. I also appreciate that he has pinned it to – in true Trek fashion – an asymmetrical sweater.
Straight lines were banned in 2360.
Speaking of great sweaters, another member of the household who wears the Picard family crest is Laris, Jean-Luc’s Romulan housekeeper.
The fuzziness offsets the pointiness.
Our plot needs a catalyst, so a mean reporter is introduced to bully Picard into action. Her outfit is fine – nothing particularly futuristic except the weird single lapel – but she accessorizes it with digital makeup. We only get to see this concept for a few seconds, but I’m sold, I want ten, and I wish she’d gone with the indigo lip.
And here I am using crushed berries and charcoal like a chump.
Back to moving the plot forward, important character Dahj shows up to the vineyard wearing what I can only describe as an elven cloak.
Good boys know good fashion.
This gorgeous coat appears to be made of a heavy green wool with black strappy accents, a big slouchy hood, and a very pointy hemline. The sides cross over in front instead of having a traditional closure, which seems like it would leave your tummy chilly, but does allow for greater flexibility.
Always buy a coat that you can wear in snow, wind, and combat.
I’m also a huge fan of the thumbhole sleeves/built-in gloves.
Next, it’s time to visit the Starfleet Archives, which means another rib knit sweater.
If you’d spent a lifetime in polyester uniforms, you’d make the same choice.
I know it makes sense that, in any century, most people will still just wear normal, everyday clothes. But it doesn’t quite feel like the future without, like, androgynous holograms in wispy all-white outfits made of sheer fabrics and angular lines, you know?
Oh, there we go.
After some unfortunate events, our hero finds himself speaking with one Dr. Agnes Jurati, whose lab coat is business in front… box cutter mishap in the back?
Maybe she Hulks out sometimes and needs a contingency.
And then, just when you thought we couldn’t possibly introduce any more characters, a dark and brooding Romulan makes a dramatic entrance.
I’m sure the outfit is great, but these guys REALLY like shadows.

I like to think Kae favors Diluc’s version of Death After Noon over anyone who could try to make it, even knowing damn well the man probably deliberately takes the alcohol content down a notch compared to usual. He’ll even scrunch his eyes a bit when drinking anyone else’s Death After Noon, bc he’s unconsciously come to associate the one Diluc makes as the standard. Not that he would ever request any other barkeep try and mimic it.
#//Like how Kae has his special drink with Crepus being the Cider Lake; his with Luc will be Death After Noon (Luc Version)#//Not that he’d share that to him. Or tell the man he likes his best. Luc prolly wouldn’t care anyway; he thinks#//Its not that Kae dislikes the differing alcoholic content; it would just surprise him every time#☆ ┆ ( .ooc. );#//I like to think Kae in general just likes associating drinks with people he loves#//The two above with their drinks; maybe Klee with Sparkling Berry Juice; Bedo with Apple Cider; Jean with Berry & Mint#//Traveler with Fruits of the Festival; Rosi prolly some alcoholic Wolfhook juice variant#//Starts associating Traveler with Cider Lake too; after his hangout events#//Feels a little bad; but thinks maybe it’s not too bad to give them the same level of importance. Maybe more#//In a way moving on from clinging so much to that past memory; and making room for them#//Still remembering Crepus; but truly allowing another in

Matcha Advent Day 21: Blue Magic Matcha Do not adjust your colour balance, this one is definitely #blue. It smells strongly of acai berry and tastes of ginger and sweet berries. There's a bit of the familiar earthy matcha aftertaste, but had I not known this was a matcha-based drink I don't think I would ever have guessed. I do think it would make a great smoothie though! #matcha #matchaadvent (at Côte Saint-Luc, Quebec) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cmc5-y1L1ql/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

“Paraventi: Folding Screens from the 17th to 21st Centuries” at Fondazione Prada, Milan October 26, 2023–February 26, 2024
The Milan exhibition explores the histories and semantics of these objects by tracing trajectories of cross-pollination between East and West, processes of hybridization between different art forms and functions, collaborative relationships between designers and artists, and the emergence of newly created works. The folding screens embody liminality and the idea of being on the threshold of two conditions, literally and metaphorically. They cross barriers between different disciplines, cultures, and worlds.
As explained by Nicholas Cullinan, “Painting or sculpture? Art or furniture? Utilitarian or ornamental? Decorative, functional, architectural, or theatrical? This innovative exhibition examines the many questions and paradoxes surrounding the unfolding history of the paravent. This history of the folding screen is one of cultural migration (from East to West), hybridization (between both different art forms and functions) and of what is concealed and revealed. As we shall explore, this history, and especially the way it manifests in the present, is one of liminal objects and of liminality itself; in the process collapsing the rigid distinctions and hierarchies between the different disciplines of art and architecture, decoration, and design.”
